I just bought The Professional Cleaners Handbook by Don Aslett for $9.99 + S&H from QVC. Does anyone own a copy? If so I'd like to hear your reviews.

I haven't read it but let me know your opinion after reading it.

I haven't read the book either, however I worked for 'Varsity Contractors', the cleaning company that Don Aslett started for a few years. I might be interested in purchasing a copy myself though.

What was it like working for his company as big as it is? When I was at the rest area I grumbled because the company I worked for had 450 employees and were so out of touch with all of us it wasn't funny.

Varsity Contractors has different divisions & types of accounts. Custodial accounts vary...Malls, departments stores, Banks, churches, etc. The company had self-guided training programs based on the type of account custodians might be involved with. While the material included some general information/values of the company & getting along with co-workers; it also contained more specialized/account related training. Kinda hard to explain.

I'll send you a FB message about my particular experience, rather than go into it here.

They underbid me on the University of Montana contract. My company was second low. Then the next day, Varsity called me on the phone and asked me if I thought they bid too low.

I just laughed.

They got kicked off in six months.

I used to always play this, really loud, on the Sundays at the lab during my laying coats of wax time.

It made the wax cure extra shiny
