New cartoon releases

Just dropping in to comment on how cheap the Transformers and G.I. Joe sets have gotten on Amazon as well as some other updates. Transformers has gotten down to $14.49 and GI Joe is $16.99. Yowza! I'd say it's a good sign sign for when the sets I don't have finally come out, but I'm likely to buy them as soon as they're released and not get to take advantage of these later price drops.

Exosquad is down to $10.99. That's tempting.

Looks like I waited too long to pick up SilverHawks. It's back up to $40.

TMNT season 8 has a listing now. Comes out September 1. This is the first of the three "red sky" seasons, and probably the time the Toledo CBS station stopped carrying the show, so I've never seen these episodes before.

The 90s X-Men volume three and four have listings now too. They come out September 15.

Have they even announced the standalone season 2 yet?

I haven't seen anything.

Depending on how many pieces they break the show into, this still might be cheaper than buying the rest of them separately. According to IMDB though, a couple of the seasons are really small, so I'm not sure.

Well lookee here. After I got the 4 individual "slices" with the tiny little figures included, they're making a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Complete Season 7 Set. *grumble*

Huh, so now they relased a Complete Series set of the 2002 He-Man series, priced at $19.99. Nice deal for anybody that hasn't picked it up.

Also, I guess BCI Eclipse went out of business last year, and Mill Creek picked up the rights to the Dungeons & Dragons cartoon. They've got a bare-bones release (currently $12.49). According some reviews the previous release had edited music, and this one is fixed. Other sources say it's the other way around. (I also wonder if they got rid of that loud and annoying FOX KIDS FOX KIDS FOX KIDS FOX KIDS after every episode.) Well anyway, it's a cheap way to get into the series if you missed the previous release. (Though Amazon still has the old one in stock.)

I was upset about that He-Man thing until i saw that it was released by Mill Creek. They're most famous for those big 20-50 movie sets of public domain horror and sci-fi movies that look like fifth generation vhs dubs.

This He-Man set, for example, is nine discs worth of episodes crammed onto four.

I'm glad i got the original releases. Ditto Dungeons and Dragons.
