the rules
be sure to read all of the rules carefully!
at beMORE, we are not very strict, but it would be great if you all could follow these simple rules.
if you have problems with any of these rules, please pm an admin.
the admins reserve the right to ban, suspend, or warn anyone for violation of the rules.
you will be provided with a reason for the admins' actions.
if you disagree with the decision, please either email or pm any of the admins so that we can discuss the situation.

r-e-s-p-e-c-t
01 be NICE! your characters obviously don't have to be nice, but when you're posting ooc, you need to show respect for the other members of the board.
02 respect the admins. if you don't agree with a decision, feel free to pm an admin.
03 if you have an issue with another member, please pm an admin.
04 have fun!

registering
01 please register with a first and last name. middle name is optional. the entire name must be in lowercase. if you make a mistake, please pm an admin to have it fixed.
02 please do not register with the name of a popular celebrity, i.e. paris hilton.
03 there is no limit to how many characters you are allowed to have, but please make sure that you can handle all of them before you get overwhelmed with twenty or so characters running all over the place.

your character
01 there are no mandatory applications at beMORE, but you are required to fill out a miniature biography for a general idea of who your character is.
02 your character MUST have flaws. we do not allow mary-sues or gary-stus. if an admin suspects that your character is falling into the category of a mary-sue, we will politely ask you to add more depth or character flaws to said character.
03 before you are allowed to begin roleplaying, you must fill out any forms found in the mandatory sign-up forum.

roleplaying
01 there is no godmodding allowed. you control your character and that's it!
02 characters cannot die in any way. if you desperately want to get rid of a character, please pm an admin and explain why you want to get rid of that character and the admin will grant permission for your character to leave the apartment in a way other than death.
03 characters can get pregnant, but let's not have millions of babies everywhere.
04 if a thread is tagged, please do not enter! either enter an open thread or start a new one.
05 grammar, grammar, grammar. we prefer that you have correct grammar in all of your ic posts. however, the use of all lowercase letters is allowed. other than that, you need to follow rules for punctuation, sentence structure, etc. we won't kill you if you accidentally use passive voice once in a while, but please try your hardest to have decent grammar!
06 we require one decent-sized paragraph per post. obviously, quality > quantity, but you need at least three or so sentences to give the other role players an easier time.

graphics
01 while signatures and avatars are not required, it is greatly beneficial to other role players to have a face to match with your character. we highly suggest that you have at least an avatar.
02 avatars may be any size up to 100 x 100.
03 signatures have a maximum width of 500 and a maximum height of 300. if you are using avatars as your signature, you may have one row of four avatars or two rows of three avatars.

board rating = pg-13
01 swearing is allowed, but if possible, keep stronger words to minimal usage.
02 be careful when approaching a sensitive subject, such as suicidal thoughts or self-inflicted wounds. remember that anyone can view the board and put a warning if necessary.
03 in terms of violence, please do not be too graphic with descriptions.
04 let's talk about sex. explicit descriptions of sex are NOT allowed. we would prefer a "fade to black" when characters are about to engage in strong sexual activity. there is not a mature forum and there will never be a mature forum.
05 drugs and alcohol are fine. underage stuff is also fine.
