When Ginny had told a few of her classmates that she would be spending her free class period doing homework, they had called her crazy. Ginny rolled had rolled her eyes dramatically as they parted ways after transfiguration. Crazy? Humph. She called it practical. Not that a walk around the grounds wouldn't have been enjoyable, or maybe a nap up in her room. Ginny just felt that time could be better spent finishing her assignments now rather that later. Besides, if she didn't finish her potions essay now, it would never get done.

She made her way into the Great Hall with a purpose. It was nearing lunchtime and students with free classes were slowly trickling into the hall, finding space at their tables before the afternoon rush. She was pleased when she caught sight of an empty spot at the end of her houses' table. There weren't many students around the chosen end the table, and for this she was pleased. She would be left to her business without bother or interruption.

With a determined frown set on her face, she upended her bookbag on to the table. The clatter of books and sudden flurry of parchment earned curious looks from those that were seated near her. Even some Ravenclaws from the adjacent table eyed her peculiarly, but she paid them no mind. She made herself comfortable as possible on the hard wooden bench, and arranged her papers as necessary. As an afterthought, she pulled an elastic from her bag and gathered her wavy red hair into a tight ponytail at the back of her head. Now she was ready to put quill to parchment and start that dreadful potions essay that had been plaguing her for the better part of the week.
