:: We want this site to be a friendly, relaxed place where everyone can roleplay together and get along well. To this end, we work on a policy of mutual respect. If you are having a problem with another member or a member of staff, try sending them a polite PM stating your problem and try to talk it out with them calmly and maturely. If you can’t sort it out, or the other person refuses to discuss things rationally, please let an admin know. On the subject of admins - if one says that you can’t do something (for example, have another character above the limit), please don’t go and ask the other admin. We know each other well offline too and will find out.

:: We like to count ourselves as an 'advanced' site - we promote good writing without any of the ridiculously high word counts. To quote indie of RPG-D, "Good writers can judge for themselves when they're finished". You should be aiming for a good quality post that other players can reply to in kind, without padding and fluff just to reach a high word count, but other than that you should just keep writing until you feel you've finished. If the person you're roleplaying with has written quite a long post, you shouldn't feel obliged to match their length - if you've said everything you want to say in your post - even if you've only written half of what the other person wrote - stop. xD

:: Give it 72 hours (ie. three days) before you start asking someone to get round to replying to you. Real life can and does get in the way sometimes and it can be horrible when you're having a brain-death/writers' block moment and someone keeps asking if you're going to reply. After four days, you can give a gentle, polite reminder via PM.

:: Our warning system is as follows. The first warning will be a PM and/or email stating why you have received the warning and informing you that it has been noted. The second warning will be a PM and a two-day suspension to give you time to cool off. After this, you are on your last chance. The next time you are in trouble, your account will be banned and we will take a note of your IP address in case you should sign up again.

:: The reason we have a limit of six characters per person is that we would like you to be active with every character you have. Because we are asking for your to aim for top quality, we don’t want you to be stretched too thinly across your characters. If you can prove you can handle six characters well and still manage to write with good quality, you may ask for permission for another. For every original you create, you must take on a canon before you can have another original. This is only temporary until we've got a reasonable amount of the canons.
