He was arguing . Mind you his was trying to keep his voice down and not draw attention to the fact he was steadily getting more and more annoyed. It wasn't just the fact that Goyle was wrong but the fact he felt pinned in didn't help to his over all mood. Here only for about two weeks and he felt like he couldn't take a deep breath without seeing either Crabbe or his bulking twin Goyle. It made him glad that he was made a prefect and not either of them had. At least he could take showers in piece.

"Look don't be stupid, you git." There was only a slight tenseness in his voice. "Dropping out of Potions is the worse thing you could do right now. What would Snape say, huh? Your being a fool. Plus they don't even offer a free period that hour anyhow.Your plan makes no sense at all."

Hands came up to rest on the crispness of his trousers. He could feel the starch in the cloth. He was tempted to look around. He was always watched even in the comfort of his own Common Room. One could never bee to careful. After all it was the Slytherin Common Room after all. Rolling his eyes he folded his arms over his chest glancing around the almost empty room. He didn't see anyone even slightly interested in his talk to the heavy set Slytherin so he returned his eyes back. Moments later a voice chimed in over his shoulder. Clearly someone had been paying attention Draco growled to himself shooting a look over his shoulder.

The inside of Marli's elbow was really causing him a lot of pain at the moment. He suspected he had twisted it slightly doing pressups that morning with Freddie and Angel, because he hadn't done anything else out of the ordinary. A trip to the infirmary confirmed his suspicions and he was told to rest it for a couple of days - the last thing a dancer wanted to hear. But that was the important part, he was a dancer, so he would just carry on as normal, albeit with a few allowances for his arm. He also wouldn't sulk about it, it just wasn't him.

Now, he was returning to the common room to take a seat and possibly read a book. With any luck, it would be relatively quiet as usual. He’d been lucky - Slytherin seemed to be a house of people who liked to go off and do their own thing of an evening, whatever it might be, so the common room was pretty much guaranteed to be free of the mad children often found in the other houses’ common rooms. Stepping in through the door, he heard voices, but even as he walked towards them they appeared not to have heard him. Eventually, he spotted the unmistakable blonde hair of Draco Malfoy.

Even as he walked down the few steps and over to the sofa, he was unnoticed, so he spoke to make his presence known. "Malfoy," he greeted the older boy, with a nod, then walked around to the sofa which faced this one and sat down. “Anything interesting happening?”

Leo had witnessed the whole conversation between Malfoy and Goyle, of course neither of the pair had noticed him. Who would take a second glance at a black cat anyway, especially one that seemed to be fast asleep. It would seem that the giant Goyle wanted to quit potions, something Leo could relate to, it wasn't exactly his favourite subject. Though he did manage to scrape by well enough, getting good but not great grades.

It was always good to keep up with what was happening amongst his housemates. If only to see where the next snide comment was coming from. Another boy entered the room and Leo cracked open one bright green eye to watch as Angel's friend walked over to the very sofa he was curled up on. He considered hissing at the boy, he wasn't particularly up for a fussing, but he didn't want to be shooed out of the Common Room either. He settled on giving the dark haired boy a very bored stare.

The one drawback of being a cat was the loss of his mind reading talent. Though he loved the fact that no-one knew who he was, the sudden quiet in his mind was unnerving. He'd not realised just how much he'd come to rely on his 'sixth sense' recently. He wasn't entirely sure it was healthy to hear peoples' thoughts clearer than their words, but it had always been natural to him.

One hand had risen up seemingly on it's own accord and was he was now pointing one finger in Goyle's face. Who was starting to look exceeding frightened. Not that he blamed him. With a temper like his and connect that he father had no one but a rare few went out of their way to annoy the blonde Slytherin. The sounds of someone else in the room caused Draco to mutter under his breath and lower his hand again. He gave Young a head nod before clinking over to the arm chair by the fireplace. A "we're not done here" look was given to Goyle who promptly fled to his own room.

Gray eyes swung back around and took in the form of the younger snake. He didn't interact much with Young. Him being in a younger year and all that. Plus Draco's time was filled with ..other more pressing issues as it where. Eyes wandered slightly to Young's side where he stared at the cat he noticed when he arrived earlier. He didn't remember anyone having a cat now that his mind was free to ponder the matter. "Who's Cat?"

Marli watched as Draco approached the fireplace area and sat down. There was something very intriguing about the boy - he put on a front of being sinister and powerful, but he had a certain fragility about him that made Marli feel sorry for him. Whatever went on in that boy’s life certainly wasn’t very pleasant, to have made him into this.

Marli looked at the cat for a moment, wondering if he'd be able to answer the question properly. He'd seen it around before several times and it had always seemed quite friendly, but the creature never appeared to be with anyone in particular that could be described as the owner. “I’m not really sure… doesn’t seem to belong to anyone as far as I can see.”

Shrugging, he made himself more comfortable in the chair and turned back to the older Slytherin to continue the conversation. “So… much been happening with you lately? I wish I had something interesting to report, but I’ve done nothing except dancing and sleeping since we’ve been back - studying bores me and I don’t need to do it anyway.” Stretching out, he changed position, finding himself uncomfortable rather quickly as usual.

Cat became his focal point as Draco allowed himself to relax. Gray eyes took in the form of the cat resting on the couch and he didn't bother moving his eyes from the cat before replying to Young. "We could always feed it to something. First crying first year that wanders around looking for their pet is the owner." A slight shrug was given then his eyes were finally taken off the cat. He wasn't sure but he thought the animal was glaring at him now.

Attention moved to the younger Slytherin as he asked about Draco's actives of later. Nothing he could be really chatty about so much. Not even to other fellow Slytherins. Outside of school work and his.. other duties he hadn't really been up to much. Nothing interesting anyhow. He tilted his head to the side." Bought a new broom.." He did. That was high light of the last week or so. After seeing Diggory with his new broom Draco had gone overboard pulling in connections to get his own broom. "Hasn't hit the stores just yet."

Leo's eyes narrowed as the Malfoy brat stared at him. The little Death eater in training was begging for someone to teach him a lesson and as thoughts of painful spells slipped through his brain he almost started purring. He stretched luxuriously, claws unsheathing as he did so. He yawned widely, showing off neat razor sharp teeth.

As the obnoxious blond said something about a broom, a name flashed through the boy's mind and his eyes narrowed further. How dare the Brat even think Diggory's name after his father stood by and gloated over Cedric's body. His tail flicked angrily and he leaped from his place by Marli's side, landing on the arm of Malfoy's chair. He clawed his way across him to disappear over the back, moving far too quickly to get caught.

He disappeared from sight and slunk up to the dormitory to change back into his human form. Perhaps he would return to the Common Room in a moment or two.
