Nimble fingers rested against her forehead, the tips gently moved to massage away the familiar pounding ache from the previous few days. To be honest with you what had ever come over her the last few days was unclear but at least now she was sound of mind and clear of thought, she couldn’t help but feel slightly unsettled about what she could remember and she tried her hardest to push it to the deepest depths of her mind. At least she came down with a sickness the night of the ball, no one would have seen her downward spiral any more than they already had to, she was free and content with her stable mind once again. For the last few days she had been hiding in her bed, embarrassed by the way she acted, she had been so different from how she normally was…She was so immature! Her head shook as her gently waves of blonde hair fluttered about her shoulders, the very strands slowly finding a nice resting place upon her back as her pearl hued attire shifted around her form, her legs shifted under her as she leaned forwards. Her brown hues seemed to be unmoving as the focused upon the ground, her body hunched over as she found her mind wracking through everything she had been told over the previous few days…Her teeth gently dug into her bottom lip as she contemplated, debated, with herself over the actually outcome of her visit to the past again. So much had happened, so much caused her an inner unsettlement as she allowed everything to stir and be processed through her mind. Why did she have to lose her mentally a little when all this was happening, when those who cared for her were telling her things that she needed to know!
Her fingers gripped at her forehead, her eyes shut tightly as she tried to hold herself back from letting out an annoyed scream. Lady like, manners, calm, serene, her mother wouldn’t approve her of her losing her lady-like decorum after all the hard work the two of them had put into her classes. Her chest rose up as she slowly sat up straight; the golden material around her bust seemed to become tighter at that second. She needed to focus upon the path at hand; she needed to become Sailor Moon and she needed to work out as to why she hadn’t disappeared yet. After all from what she could remember she had supposedly been told that her father had died, no she wasn’t supposedly told she was told by…she may have been old compared to a normal human but what was her brain failing her. “Makoto-chan!” She suddenly said aloud, her form suddenly stood up quickly as her fist collided with her palm in a moment of eureka. It had been Makoto, who now called herself Juno, who had told her about her father’s death…Still why hadn’t much changed in the future, why was she still around? It wasn’t like there was much home about her birth now, there was a big chance her parents were never going to get together and have her now wasn’t there, and what if her mother ended up with someone else, someone different? She turned where she stood and started pacing back and forth, the sound of wildlife around her seemed to fall upon her deaf ears as she went on uncaring as to the surroundings of the beautiful garden of the Crystal Palace. Well at least she was better now, at least her mind was lucid and she wasn’t going around and calling herself, she shuddered, Ibby. She swore if she ever started talking like that again she was going to make sure someone hit her and hard, she was rather found of her nickname of Chibiusa.
Chibiusa turned as she started to head towards the ponds, her golden blonde hair fluttered behind her as the long silver skirting of her pearl hued dressed fluttered with an elegant grace behind her. Her hands roughly attempted to push up two small puffed sleeves on her arms, which kept falling down every so often to her disliking. Well at least she wasn’t wearing something too hard to wear, though wearing her nearly tailored princess dress so soon had not been her intentions but she needed to get use to it, as well as use to acting more like a grown up lady and less like a young kid. Her hands seemed to battle with themselves to find the rightful position of her skirting, her fingers every so often slipping upon the fabric. Sitting by the water would be a nice change, it was calm and free flowing, not to loud with rushing water and not too busy with wildlife. It would have been the perfect place to clear her confuzzled mind, well it would have been is the sixteen year old didn’t trip over the edge of her dress. Her body found itself suddenly falling forwards, her arms extended out in hope to keep her up but she should have known better than waving her arms up and down trying to fly. Oh that dreaded feeling, so cold and wet! Her body had found itself launched into the shallower area of water, her eyes blinked before she pushed herself up to the surface, spitting out a good bit of water from her mouth as a nice lily pad sat on the top of her head. What a great day it was turning out to be…Her eyes narrowed as she sat herself up, feeling a sudden thud on her head as a nice little green frog landed upon it. "Just great..." She muttered.

Juno had too much on her mind for her own good as she paced around the grounds of the crystal palace. She'd spoken to Athene, only to be informed that Endymion had made an appearance at the ball and none of them had noticed. What's more the circumstances involving his situation with Chaos seemed suspicious to not only Athene, but, though she hated to admit it, herself as well. She desperately wanted to believe for Serenity's sake, for all their sakes, that it was as simple as they had initially thought: that Endymion was merely being held against his will by Chaos, and Beryl as Chibiusa had speculated. It seemed unlikely that this was the case, unless Chaos was really a fool who let Endymion wander about as he pleased.
Perhaps Endymion was just really good at sneaking away from his captor. Perhaps Chaos had means of keeping the king from escaping on his own. . or perhaps Chaos wanted to let Endymion to find the senshi, so he could listen in and find their weakness. She sighed as she realized she was just grasping at straws at this point. Wanting Endymion to be innocent and ignoring logic was foolish, and during a time approaching a 'war' of sorts she couldn't afford to be foolish: none of them.
Though what she could do, she was at a loss for. She wasn't the planner of the group, a fact that made her feel somewhat helpless in this situation. She didn't like the feeling at all. She sighed as she continued her walk. She had taken to walking without any real destination instead of simply pacing. The going back and forth had seemed useless once she had processed she wasn't going anywhere, and so she figured walking with no destination in mind was better than nothing. She glanced up ahead, noticing something peculiar. Her head tilted slightly in confusion. It looked like someone was taking a dive into the pond. She thought she saw a familiar head of blond hair falling in and made her way over. She watched as the future princess resurface with a lily pad on her head. She covered her mouth with her hand to stifle a giggle as a frog leaped on top of the pad. This was just the sort of distraction she could use. She held her hand out to the girl to help her out. "Are you all right, Chibiusa?" she asked.

Nothing said a new chapter in a book like falling in a nice pond of water, decorated with a lily pad and a frog enjoying its time upon its new portable throne. It was times like these she even wondered how she was able to keep her balance on her own two feet, if it was not for her clear difference from her mother personality wise Chibiusa would have thought that the two of them shared nearly every trait possible and being a klutz was one of them. Her hand rose as she gently flicked the frog, trying to nudge him off from his new seat before he got too comfy up there. One her head was defrogged she carefully removed the lily page, putting it back to where it belonged, in the water…Somewhere which she clearly did not and wouldn’t mind getting out of.
Her attention was taken away from her situation when she heard someone stifling a giggle, her eyes of brown focused upon the young woman who had appeared apparently while she was distracted with being covered with the pond life. “I’m fine Makoto-chan,” Chibiusa responded as she took a hold of Juno’s hand and carefully lifted herself out of the water without falling in again and dragging Juno in with her. “I think I pulled a Usagi-chan, tripping over my own feet.” She knew it was kind of wrong to still call them by their civilian names but it was harder to change a habit than one would think, it was bad enough she was reminded when she got home constantly that Usagi and Mamoru were her parents too…Her mother use to whine about the bitter sweet memories of her not calling her mama while in the present day.
Chibiusa gently started patting away any pond life that was on her, happy to only be drenched and no covered in stuff. It was times like these she was glad to have people like Juno around, even if they were not the ones she knew from her time. “Eh I am sorry about that anyway, I’ve been a little disappointed with myself when I woke up and I was so deep in thought I think I forgot I had to keep an eye upon where I walked.” She admitted. Her hand rose up as she sheepishly rubbed the back of her neck, her head tilted to the side as her eyes seemed to sparkle with some happiness despite all that was going through her mind. Well at least they had something to laugh about now, finding the future princess in a pond with a nice little friend on her head. Well it could have been worse; she could have been playing out one of those-. Okay not the best idea to go there, her private dreams were her private dreams, maybe at a later date she would share them. “Say Makoto-chan, what are you doing out here?” Chibiusa asked as her hands tried to ring out her dress, not really wanting to fuss about and get changed.

Juno grinned as Chibiusa took her hand and hoisted her out of the water. She was glad it hadn't been anything serious, more a wounding of pride than anything else. She had also smiled at the use of a name she was supposed to have shed in light of regaining her throne. It hadn't been that long ago, and all of them changing, or rather regaining their old names had been more than a little confusing. It was refreshing to hear someone call her Makoto. She allowed a soft chuckle to actually be heard at her second comment. Usagi-chan hadn't tripped in public in a while: since becoming the queen, a certain sense of poise was required, or at least as much as Usagi had ever been able to manage. Memories of her somewhat clumsy friend where still fresh in her mind though. "Like mother like daughter, ne?" she said with a grin.
It was true too. Juno saw much of Chibiusa's mother in her, even if she doubted the other girl would find it all that flattering a thought. They had that same sense of determination, the same will to do good in the world, and even the same uncanny ability to trip and fall when left to their own devices. She watched as the young girl, no woman now she had to admit, tried to remove the traces of pond from her personal being.
She then shook her head at the apology. "Don't worry, I understand," she assured her. "It's easy to forget about your surroundings when you've got alot on your mind." She knew this all too well as a matter of fact. Recently she'd been immersing herself more deeply in thought, something she and the others had tried to avoid for most of their teenage lives. She was pulled back out of her musings by Chibiusa's question. "Ahh," she said, grinning awkwardly. "I was just on a walk to clear my mind. I've had a lot to think about lately, and I thought some fresh air might do me some good."

“Though I am sure Usagi-chan wouldn’t admit to that, mama surely doesn’t like to admit it.” Chibiusa commented as she looked around the garden making sure Juno was the only person who had seen her. It would have been more embarrassing if there had been someone else who had seen her fall into the pond, what would her nickname be then? She dreaded to think, it was bad enough she was sure many people had thought this previous period of insanity was a new phase and would start calling her by that nickname. Though it was bad enough she couldn’t fully remember what she had done and said, well almost couldn’t remember…She could remember certain things, it was probably the traveling between times messing up her mind or just something she had eaten to have messed up her. Her brown eyes looked back towards Makoto as she smiled; her arms folded releasing the wet clothes so they now rested against her skin.
This time and age was so different from the days when she use to ran around demanding for the crystal from Usagi, everything had changed so quickly since her last departure and sometimes she wondered what else was different. Though she had already been there for a few days she was pretty much lost within her mind to even acknowledge all the changes, she had only seen the big picture and not the small things which were important.
“I see, so we were both doing the same thing then. I am trying to remember what happened since I arrived here, I think traveling in time is starting to get to me because to be honest I have this weird feeling I went around acting off and calling myself an odd name.” Chibiusa commented as she folded her arms. Her eyes looked across the garden as she slowly looked towards the side, her chest rose and fell as she tried to focus herself away from her previous trip within the pond and back onto what she had originally been thinking about. “We can go and do something, if you want to, so we can get our minds clear and off of all the stuff which is clouding it?”

Juno nodded her agreement at Chibiusa's words. She doubted Serenity had changed enough in the short time since she had assumed the role of queen to suddenly find it a compliment that she and the younger girl seemed so much alike. Then again, she would have been more surprised if she had. That was a relief in an of itself. At last some things remained a constant in their lives. On some level she realized it was strange that the most constant thing right now was the time traveling future daughter of one of her best friends and a dead man. That just spoke volumes about her life at this point.
She pushed those thoughts aside fore the moment. After all, Chibiusa had made no mention of the events, perhaps the few people who knew about the mess that had been created by Chaos needed a day or two to process everything before being able to discuss it. It seemed she wasn't doing a very good job of clearing her mind as she'd told Chibiusa. She just kept coming back to what had been running around in her mind for the past few days, some of i t had been there for months even.
She smiled as Chibiusa suggested they had both come out for the same reason. "So it would seem," she agreed. She listened as the blond haired girl went onto explain that she believed time travel was the cause of her somewhat unusual behavior since she'd come back to their time. "I don't know much about time travel," Juno confessed helplessly. "But I'm sure it makes things confusing after a while." She didn't pretend to be an expert when it came to understanding the complexities of time travel, but she was willing to believe Chibiusa if she said so. "Well you remember our meeting up and discussing the current situation with your father, uh Endymion-sama, and then there was the ball of course." The ball had been fun while it lasted, but sadly it had been nothing more than a distraction from the inevitable. She smiled at the young woman, glad for the successful distraction she proved to be. "That sounds like a good idea to me," she replied.

Chibiusa folded her arms as she felt the chill of the wind brushing against her, maybe changing her clothes would be the best thing. She could hear Usagi now, commenting on how stupid she was for letting herself get a cold because she was too stubborn to change out of a soaking wet dress. There again, it wasn’t like she was going to get a cold just like that, she had some time she was sure and she wasn’t about to rush and get changed. Her brown orbs looked towards Juno as she spoke, she smiled a little happy to have someone agree with her. It was nice to really know that she wasn’t the only one who had things on their mind; it was nice to know someone else was feeling the same.
“I imagine Puu knows more about time travel than I do, I’ll have to ask her later one and see if that was the reason.” She pointed out as she looked around the garden, she couldn’t help but release a sigh. Helios probably thought she was a flake for disappearing during the ball as well, she could remember talking to him and then nothing. She really needed to get herself planted firmly upon the ground, and get her mind sorted it, that was her main priority over everything else!
She nodded when Juno asked her question. “I remember meeting up and discussing about what had happened, and I remember the ball up to I spoke to Helios.” She once again sighed, why was Helios around? It was off to actually see him outside of Elysian and outside of his Pegasus form, what else had gone on in this time. She didn’t really know, if Mamoru and Usagi weren’t together could be the reason for her recent bout of forgetfulness and change in attitude? She shook her head; she needed to follow her own advice. Distractions were always the best thing. “Hmm, I know we should go to the kitchens and make something. I missed you cooking in the future, you are always so busy I rarely get to cook with you or enjoy your cookies or cakes!” She said rather energetically.

Juno didn't try to suppress the smile that spread across her face at the name Chibiusa used for the guardian of time. Though she would never use it herself, it still brought a smile to her face to hear something familiar in all of this. Chibiusa hadn't changed even though they all had. Well, to be fair she had changed in some ways, but her personality still remained, for the most part the same. That was what really counted. She nodded her head in agreement to her comment. "That's probably a good idea. If anyone would know, it'd be Persephone," she said.
She smiled as she felt somewhat relieved as Chibiusa explained what she could remember since she had returned. She at least remembered their conversation and the ball. . .and Helios? She tilted her head in slight confusion. "Helios was at the ball?" she asked. "I didn't know he'd left Elysian." She hadn't heard anything about him being back. Perhaps Serenity had asked for his help as well, but if she had she wouldn't have kept them out of the loop would she? It seemed an odd coincidence that Endymion had resurfaced under suspicious circumstances and Helios had left his home without telling anyone. Nothing seemed to be making much sense anymore, and Juno was beginning to wonder if anyone outside of the palace could be trusted.
She was once again relieved for the other girl's line of thinking. A smile lit up her face at the distraction Chibiusa suggested. She hadn't had a chance to do any real cooking for someone in ages. She'd been too busy with trying to start up the society of her planet's moons: most specifically Io. In all of the chaos and hubbub of it all, she hadn't had time to some of things she'd always enjoyed. Though in the past year or two things had settled down into a natural order, she didn't get to cook nearly as often as she would have liked. What with recent events, her time was generally spent worrying, planning, or keeping watch. "Well then, we'll just have to fix that," she said with a chuckle. "Let's go inside and I'll make some cookies for you now."

Her hands were ringing out her hair; her eyes looked towards Juno at her question. How did the senshi not know that Helios was at the ball, wouldn’t they of noticed the presence of the priest of Elysian within the ranks at the ball? It was not every day after all you saw a white haired male walking through the crowds of the Crystal Palace’s ballroom. Still that had a slight unsettling feeling within her stomach, if he was outside of this realm without others knowing was something going on that he was trying to keep secret? He was basically the keeper of the golden crystal, the protector of her father in a manner of speaking.
“Well he was there; I spoke to him before I left the ballroom. You really didn’t know he wasn’t in Elysian, I mean it is just screaming alarm bells at me at that information.” Chibiusa spoke up; her eyes looked across the garden. Her chest heavily heaved, her fingers gripped at her clothing as she could feel her whole body going tense. The one thing, aside from her parents, she worried about the most. The one person whom she loved and cared for the most in the whole wide world was Helios, if the enemy had gotten to him, if something had happened to him she didn’t know what she would do. Her lips curled into a meek smile as she turned, those brown orbs lit up as she looked towards Juno. Well it couldn’t be that bad now could it, after all the senshi had gotten through worse and there would have been signs.
“Cookies it is!” Her hand extended out to take a hold of Juno’s. Her head tilted to the side as she beamed, she had grown up a lot since she had last helped Juno cook but who could say no? Age was just a number; it didn’t mean you had to abide by certain rules and regulations. After all the fun of life was enjoying the simple things, like the wonderful tasting cookies that came from Juno, or the reactions that came from her Moon-mama when she joked around about stealing her father from her.

Juno smiled sheepishly at the young girl as she questioned her not realizing Helios had left Elysian. It wasn't as if he had sent a card telling them he'd be going on vacation, or dropping in for a visit though. They really needed someone to keep tabs on that sort of thing. She paused in her line of thought as she realized they had had someone to do that before, but he was dead now. Well not quite as dead as they had thought, she amended. There she went again, unable to think of anything else for more than a few minutes. It was almost depressing how predictable her line of thinking was.
"Sorry, but I hadn't heard that he was away," she said. "Or rather, here." She nodded her head in agreement. Chibiusa wasn't the only one who had warning bells going off when it came to unexpected visitors. There had been two at the ball from what she was hearing and had heard. Could they really be unconnected? It seemed unlikely. "It sets off some alarms off for me too," she said. "Do you remember anything about the meeting? Did he say anything out of the ordinary to you?
Juno couldn't help but feel the other girl's smile was contagious, as one spread across her own face as well. She wondered if she should really be this excited to bake, but cooking and flowers had always been her true loves, well those and a cute boy with a nice smile-- but it was little pleasures like this that made her have hope for the future. It was moments like this that made her remember just what she was constantly fighting to protect. "It feels like I haven't made someone cookies in years," she said with a soft chuckle, taking the hand Chibiusa offered her and starting off towards the castle. She also hadn't had such an eager future recipient in a long while. It was a nice change from the past few days.
