Zephyr -- Ouranos
Just like the wind I've always been Drifting high up in the sky that never ends Through thick and thin I always win 'Cause I would fight both life and death to save a friend
I face my destiny every day I live And the best in me is all I have to give
CHARACTER BASICS;Name; Zephyr __ Ouranos Nickname(s); Age; physically she is around twenty one years of age, though her soul is much older Occupation; Senshi, ruler of Uranus Birthplace; Uranus; during the Silver Millenium the Juuban district of Tokyo, Japan; present day Home; Her time is spent divided between Miranda Castle and the city of Crystal Tokyo. Rank; Senshi; ruler of Uranus CHARACTER'S OTHER IDENTITYAlias; Sailor Uranus Powers; wind/sky Abilities; Uranus Crystal Power, Make Up! – a golden energy surrounds her and her clothing melts away as her fuku forms. When the energy dissipates, Sailor Uranus is left standing there.
World Shaking! – The first attack she ever used; Uranus would raise a single arm above her head and concentrate, channeling a ring of golden ki into the palm of her hand. After a moment, the fully formed sphere of energy was hurled low to the ground in the direction of her intended target. The ki would travel through the ground, causing an earthquake and then raise itself slightly just before impacting with the target.
Space Turbulence – Uranus concentrates and a golden ki gathers in and around her hands. Moments later, the gathered energy was then released in a series of beams toward a target or target. This attack is stronger than world shaking though it wasn’t enough to defeat Iron Mouse’s galactic crunch.
Space Sword Blaster! – Not nearly as flashy as world shaking, Uranus summons the Space Sword to aid her in a mostly physical attack against the enemy. If she were to concentrate hard enough, the blade would glow brightly, just before she would swing the blade to release a massive wave of ki that was capable of affecting multiple targets at once. Special Skills; -- Costume; Uranus’ costume is comprised of a white leotard under a navy blue skirt. Around her neck is a navy blue collar with a star adorning it. Her sailor collar is navy blue with a white stripe. A large yellow bow is situated directly over her breasts, apparently held on by a yellow heart. In place of sleeves, her leotard is adorned with translucent white shoulder pads; one on each side. Wrist-length, navy blue gloves cover her hands and loose, navy blue boots adorn her feet. The bow situated at the back of her waist is larger since her “upgrade”, being a good deal longer and larger than her previous power level. CHARACTER APPEARANCE;Hair; Zephyr's sandy blond hair is worn short, and the majority of the time appears haphazardly tousled. Eyes; Her eyes are a clear blue in colour Height/Weight; five feet eight inches/one hundred and forty five pounds Extended; Zephyr is a bit on the taller side, at least by Japanese standards. She stands roughly five feet, eight inches and weighs in at one hundred and forty five pounds, the majority of that being muscle. The blond tends to keep herself in shape. Her sandy blond hair is generally kept trimmed fairly short, though she isn't overly concerned with her hair. Most of the time she appears to be in need of a brush, though in truth she is just too busy worrying about other things to fuss with her hair. Zephyr's eyes are a clear shade of blue, slightly almond-shaped and framed by thick lashes. Zephyr's overall appearance could best be described as androgynous. Her face isn't particularly feminine, though her features are delicate enough to cause people to stop and question her gender at times. Her form is lean and toned from the various physical activities she engages in. Zephyr has never been particularly curvy and she honestly couldn't care less about that fact.
For the most part, Zephyr's wardrobe leans toward the masculine side of the spectrum. Through the years, she has developed a certain fondness for wearing mens' clothing. This fact, doubled with her general appearance has been the cause of confusion for a great deal of people in the past. In all honesty, she finds it quite amusing how easily she is able to pass herself off as a man, and in truth she finds great amusement in doing so, just for the simple fact that she can. Zephyr isn't a fan of bright, obnoxious colors; in fact she tends to stick to the darker shades, though she has been known to wear a bright hued shirt at one time or another. Her ears are pierced, though she doesn't generally make a habit of wearing earrings. Jewelry is kept to a minimum, often she'll wear a man's watch or maybe a simple chain necklace, void of any flashy charms. Zephyr has no need nor want of makeup whatsoever; the most she'll ever wear is a bit of lip gloss, and even that is rare. CHARACTER PERSONALITYLikes;running listening to Thalassa play the violin driving her car way too fast swimming flirting the feel of the wind in her hair spending time with her daughter spending time alone with Thalassa sleeping late playing the piano Dislikes;whiners artificial air (hair dryers, air conditioners, etc.) losing being talked down to overly flamboyant people anyone looking at her lover the wrong way popular men
Kou Seiya overly salty food being stuck behind a slow moving vehicle Strengths;she’s a genius she’s fast she’s physically strong she’s fiercely loyal to her friends and loved ones she isn’t afraid to speak her mind Weaknesses; she has a competitive streak a mile wide she can be a tad small-minded at times she's a bit resistant to change she's stubborn to a fault Thalassa being reminded that she nearly killed her daughter Fears; the world falling into chaos losing Thalassa or Aisa ♪something happening to Uranus Secrets; she finds it amusing how easily people confuse her for the opposite gender she is addicted to smoothies she has no idea what she would do if she didn’t have Thalassa and Aisa Dreams;to marry Thalassa to see Uranus thrive to return to the world of professional racing Extended; Zephyr is first and foremost, the sort of person who would likely kick someone’s ass before she even stopped to think about asking questions. She tends to be rather impatient when dealing with most people, and has even managed to find herself completely irritated with her partner, Thalassa, on at least one occasion. The senshi of Uranus isn’t the most forgiving person and she is fairly quick to lose her temper. Holding a grudge is something she is quite known for, regardless of how petty the reason. She doesn’t forget things easily and can be quite vindictive when the mood strikes her. Zephyr is highly focused and will rarely allow herself to lose sight of her goals. She knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to go out and kick some ass in order to get it. This isn’t to say that she is all bad, but she can be quite intimidating to someone who doesn’t know here very well. The blond warrior is quite impulsive and rarely stops to think about the potential consequences of her actions and normally opens her mouth before she’s had a chance to think about whether or not it would be wise to do so. She isn’t one to sit around, over-thinking things and she isn’t one to mince words. If she doesn’t like someone or something, she wouldn’t hesitate to let the world know it. Zephyr isn’t a particularly violent or cruel person, nor is she some pushover who would let just anyone walk all over her.
While she may appear intimidating at first glance, Zephyr is a fiercely loyal friend. Though her first instinct is one of self-preservation, she will not tolerate the thought of anyone harming those she holds dear. Very few things in this world actually frighten Zephyr, and for the most part she tends to take whatever life throws her way in stride. She is an extremely charismatic woman and finds little trouble in smooth talking her way out of nearly any situation. In addition to this, the blond tends to be rather flirtatious. Of course, that’s all it will ever be – harmless flirting. She is, and always be interested in Thalassa and Thalassa alone. Zephyr is the type to pretty much say whatever random thing that pops into her mind. This will often get her into trouble because some people appear to be more easily offended than others. Zephyr isn’t intimidated by a little danger and wouldn’t dream of backing down from a challenge of any sort. She enjoys taking risks with little regard for possible consequences and is usually the more spontaneous one out of she and Thalassa. CHARACTER HISTORY;Mother; Tenou Ali; Father; Tenou Kyo; Siblings; -- Pets; -- Extended; The King and Queen of Uranus had never wanted a daughter. They had been expecting a son that would carry on the family name, so it pretty much went without saying that they were a bit surprised with the birth of the Princess Uranus. That wasn’t to say that they didn’t love their newborn daughter all the same, but it did make things a bit more difficult in regards to the throne and all. The monarchs were already fairly advanced in age when the Princess was born and it was discovered that the Queen was no longer able to have children; so that left the Princess alone to carry on the name. It was quite a dilemma for the rulers and they worried constantly over what possibilities they had. At around the same time, eight other babies were born, including the Lunarian Princess herself. Zephyr and the seven other girls born on each of the planets were destined for a very special task pretty much from birth; protect the universe as well as the Lunarian Princess. Of course the princesses born on Neptune, Uranus and Pluto would not only be expected to guard the Lunarian Princess from harm, but also to watch over the Outer reaches of the Universe in case any threats should arise from beyond the outer boundaries.
Princess Zephyr made fast friends with the Princess of Neptune and the two could often be seen talking and laughing together whenever their parents would get together. When they were old enough, they began their training as Senshi together and they both knew that one day they would be expected to keep the Universe safe from any potential invasions. Time passed and the girls all grew into lovely young women, fitting of their title. All with the exception of Undine, whose parents had convinced her that it would be best if she were to appear as a male to the public eye. It had taken some getting used to at first, but in time she grew so comfortable with this act that it became her identity. Of course, there was the little matter of Senshi only being female, but the King and Queen saw no reason to let on that their daughter was in fact the Senshi of Uranus. Very few people knew the truth about Zephyr; the Princess of Neptune being one of them. Her parents, however were none the wiser, and they took the matter of their daughter spending so much time with Zephyr as a good thing – considering that it would soon be time for their daughter to marry; and they could think of no better candidate than the Prince of Uranus.
Of course, the two friends weren’t sure just how to deal with this. On the one hand, they could inform the King and Queen of Neptune of just what was going on, but that probably would have been a bad idea. Instead, both agreed that it would probably be a better idea just to let them have their dream because it would probably save Princess Neptune the trouble of dealing with a long parade of suitors. It was a win-win situation really, and both girls were quite grateful for the circumstances; however odd they may have been. The same couldn’t be said for Zephyr; whose parents figured it would be a good idea to keep up appearances by parading eligible women in and out of the castle on the pretense of trying to find a bride for their son. She took this all in stride, and as could be expected, none of the possible brides ever worked out. It was probably for the best considering the amount of confusion there would be when the Prince and his bride were expected to produce an heir.. When Beryl’s forces attacked the Moon kingdom, Zephyr was there with the others, and did her absolute best to sway the battle. But in the end it just wasn’t enough, and she perished along with everyone else that fateful day. The last thought in her mind before the life left her body was whether or not the Princess Neptune was alright. But that was not to be the end of her story; for her soul was gathered up along with everybody else and sent to Earth where she could hopefully have a better life and be happier.
Tenou Haruka was born on January the twenty seventh to Kyo and Ali Tenou. She was loud right from the start, and would often cry just to hear the sound of her own voice. Her parents had all but given up on having a child and she wasn’t exactly planned, but she was loved nonetheless. Haruka was doted on and spoiled nearly rotten by both parents and being the little ham she was, the girl soaked it all up with a clever little grin. Infancy passed without more than a couple minor problems and before anyone knew it, Haruka was up and about, running free and getting into pretty much everything. Though this was a time of great trial for the young parents, they adored Haruka just the same and she was never wanting for love and affection from her parents. Time passed, as it has a way of doing and soon their baby was no longer a baby, but a spirited child. She did well in school for the most part, and for a while she seemed determined to be the center of attention in whatever group she was a part of. She wasn’t shy by any stretch of the imagination and more than a dozen times, she’d be dragging home a classmate or two. Her grades weren’t perfect either, but it wasn’t as though she was doing poorly enough to warrant a call home from the school, so her parents were pleased all the same. It was about this time that Haruka began to show a bit of interest in sports and such.
By the time she began middle school, her parents had noticed something peculiar about their daughter. She had never been the type to enjoy dressing up or indulge in particularly girly things and her parents had no problems with this. As time passed, Haruka seemed to grow more and more interested in sports and while some girls were huddling in groups and giggling at some of the boys, Haruka remained blissfully uninterested in any of that. The Tenous were a bit alarmed by the fact that their daughter didn’t seem to be developing an interest in boys like her schoolmates, but they understood that everyone was different; and frankly it was kind of a relief not having to worry about their daughter bringing home silly boys every other day. They decided to count their blessings and they really couldn’t say much because her grades weren’t slipping and she didn’t seem to be depressed or shying away from people in general. She was just… not the least bit interested in the boys. This wasn’t to say that she hadn’t noticed the boys at all. Wanting to fit in, she had tried to sit with a group of her friends and join in a conversation about various boys in their year, but the only thing Haruka could think to contribute was how this one wasn’t as good at basketball as she was, or how that one threw like a girl. Needless to say, things did not work out.
Time seemed to fly by and by the time Haruka was ready to enter high school, her parents had begun to suspect that something was amiss. Their daughter had never actively shown any sort of interest in boys at all, and that just wasn’t normal. To Haruka’s defense, she could have merely been more interested in doing well in school and other activities than hanging around boys for any length of time that didn’t involve sports. Of course, the fact remained that she just hadn’t really thought about it. Most of her free time was spent running track or playing some sport, or driving her car just a little too fast when she was old enough to drive. Boys were never really something she concerned herself with and there was nothing wrong with that, right? Then one day while she was running track, she noticed a girl she hadn’t seen before sitting off to the sidelines watching her. After the race, she walked over and the girl introduced herself as Michiru. It was odd, and she couldn’t begin to explain it, but for whatever reason, Haruka got the distinct feeling that she had met Michiru before, regardless of the fact that something like that couldn’t be possible. The two began to talk and eventually Michiru admitted that she had been watching Haruka for some time. The young woman wasn’t entirely sure how to feel about this, but she definitely got the feeling that something wasn’t quite right about this situation.
And then one day, Haruka’s life was changed forever when a youma attacked the garage where her car was being stored. Sailor Neptune showed up to stop it and in the midst of the chaos, the henshin stick of Sailor Uranus appeared before Haruka; and just when she was about to reach out and take it, Neptune attempted to warn her against it, saying she was better off just forgetting about it. After the fight, it became apparent that the girl was wounded and Haruka couldn’t shake the feeling that she was supposed to help in some way. She couldn’t do more than cradle the injured girl in her arms and listen as she went on to explain that she was glad to have met Haruka and she even revealed to the blond how she had realized that Haruka was the one she was looking for. It was that single moment that sealed the decision for her and Haruka didn’t even think twice about picking up the henshin stick and becoming Sailor Uranus. All she knew was that she wanted to help this girl. Life as a Senshi wasn’t overly difficult and spending time with Michiru was probably one of the best things about the whole deal. Of course, it would have been too much to explain to her parents, so Haruka decided early on that it would be best to just keep the entire situation a secret. It would have been too much work to try and get them to understand everything anyway.
Haruka doesn’t remember exactly how long she had been Neptune’s partner before hand, but one day another woman appeared to them both and introduced herself ad Sailor Pluto. She then explained that they would need to find the three Talismans and prevent them from falling into the wrong hands. Pluto went on to explain that the Talismans would join together to form the Grail which would call forth the Messiah of Silence; something that they could not allow to happen at any cost. At one point, Haruka and Michiru were out looking for possible carriers for the Talismans when they happened across four completely foreign senshi. At first, they viewed these younger senshi as enemies and decided to just steer clear of them in favor of completing their mission. Around the same time, the blond met Aino Minako and Tsukino Usagi for the very first time in the Crown Fruit Parlor; at which time Minako immediately mistook her for a man and proceeded to flirt. Being the cheeky lass she is, Haruka didn’t even think twice about flirting back and eventually the three were joined by Michiru, at which point Usagi and Minako became visibly uncomfortable. Time passed, and the duo could only really watch as various people were targeted by the new enemy; their heart crystals removed – of course none of them turned out to be concealing the Talismans.
Along with everything else that was happening, the three Senshi were having bad feelings about the Tomoe girl and eventually their suspicions were confirmed; she turned out to be less than merely human after-all. And then one fateful day Haruka received a phone call at the apartment she shared with Michiru, from the enemy; claiming they had figured out one of the people who carried a Talisman. The blond woman rushed right over before she could think about it and it soon became apparent that Michiru was the person they had been referring to previously. Only, she wasn’t the only one. As it turned out, Haruka herself was carrying one of the Talismans; the Space Sword, within her own heart crystal. Michi fought bravely but in the end it wasn’t enough and she lost her life as her heart crystal was removed, revealing the Deep Aqua Mirror. Stricken with grief, Haruka shot herself with the same gun that had removed her lover’s heart crystal, but not before ordering Serena to find the last two Talismans. In that moment, the Space Sword revealed itself and shortly after that, Pluto arrived with the third Talisman. The three Talismans reacted to their combined presence and formed the Grail, which ultimately went to Sailor Moon. Meanwhile, Chibiusa had been kidnapped with the intention of sacrificing her pure heart to Pharaoh 90, the enemy’s leader.
Ultimately, Mistress 9, the entity possessing Hotaru was defeated and Hotaru went on to awaken as Sailor Saturn, something Neptune and Uranus had been hoping to avoid outright. The newly awakened Sailor Saturn realized that she was the only one who was able to stop Pharoah 90’s appearance on earth and launched herself into the very core, followed closely by Sailor Moon. Neptune and Uranus could only stand around and wait with baited breath for whatever possible outcome was destined to happen. Quite a bit later, Sailor Moon emerged with a baby Hotaru in her arms; as the Senshi had used her ultimate power and ended her own life, only to be reincarnated in that next instant to start her life over. She was taken back to her father at first, and shortly following that, Neptune and Uranus turned on Sailor Moon, attacking her with the belief that she was not fit to be their leader. She rapidly defeated the both of them and they would finally bow to her as their leader before leaving the city entirely. Later, it was decided that it would be better if Hotaru went to live with Haruka and Michiru; and the two couldn’t have agreed more. Her powers would be needed for the upcoming battle and it would be better for everyone concerned if she were living with people who knew what to expect.
For a while, their lives returned to a state that could almost be considered normal and without the need to transform and fight off seemingly endless waves of youma, the girls were able to enjoy a sort of peace. But it wasn’t to last and sooner than they had expected, they would return to seek out their old allies. While Setsuna went to fetch Hotaru from Professor Tomoe, Amara and Michiru were elsewhere, enjoying what they had hoped would be a relaxing afternoon at the aquarium. Shortly beforehand, Nehelenia was awoken by a disembodied voice and freed from her captivity; ultimately being sent to back to Earth, accompanied by broken shards of a mirror. These shards falling to earth were mistaken for falling stars and a small piece even fell into Mamoru’s eye. But obviously these were not ordinary glass shards and after a short time, monsters sprang forth from everywhere the glass had fallen. Michiru and Haruka transformed into Uranus and Neptune and attempted to fight off the youma, and just when it seemed as though the fight would be lost, Pluto appeared with a baby Hotaru who somehow managed to give the three Senshi new powers. Following the battle, Hotaru suddenly grew into a child and warned them all that the Princess was in danger. Over the next few days, Hotaru continued to grow and Haruka was completely at a loss. The most they could do was just watch as she continued to age at an accelerated rate. When Sailor Saturn was awakened once more, she went with Pluto, Uranus and Neptune to try and warn Sailor Moon about the approaching danger. After Mamoru is taken into his mirror and Serena rushes off to save him against everyone’s wishes, the remaining Senshi found a way to teleport to Nehelenia’s world as well and split up to try and find her. Haruka ended up teaming up with Sailor Mercury and though they put up a valiant effort, it all turned out to be a trap and the two of them were encased within mirrors.
Sailor Moon managed to defeat Nehelenia after-all, and together with the others, sent her back into the past so that she could relive her childhood and possibly do it better this time around. Things calmed down for a short time after that, but the peace wasn’t to last for long. Shortly after the battle, the Three Lights arrived and began attending Serena’s high school. Right from the start, Haruka and Michiru realized that there was something a bit off about those three. A new enemy seemed to pop up along with the stars and began attacking the citizens of Tokyo yet again; only this time they weren’t after heart crystals or the like. This new enemy seemed intent on taking people’s Star Seeds, for whatever purpose. For the most part, the Outer Senshi vowed to stay out of this one, as it was really Sailor Moon’s fight in the first place. At one point, Michi agreed to do a concert with the boys and of course Haruka showed up as well, not exactly anxious to let her lover go off on her own in light of the recent attacks. The first time Haruka set eyes on Seiya Kou, he was flirting with Michi. In her own dressing room. It was pretty much a case of instant dislike for the guy at that point and Haruka was considerably jealous, though there was no real reason to be. Sometime after that, the Three Lights are revealed to be Senshi as well, though they came from a different world. Michiru, Haruka and Setsuna revealed their true identities to the Lights, and in turn learned of their true identities as Sailor Star Fighter, Sailor Star Healer and Sailor Star Maker. Seiya then gave the three his – her? – word that he would not see Usagi anymore but Haruka wasn’t entirely sure she believed that.
After a bit more drama regarding Seiya and Usagi, the Outer Senshi decided to take matters into their own hands and the four of them went off to confront Galaxia in hopes of ending the battle once and for all. The battle raged on and when it looked as though Galaxia would have the upper hand, she offered the four of them a deal, which Saturn and Pluto refused outright. Neptune and Uranus accepted, however, and to prove their loyalty to Galaxia, they attacked Saturn and Pluto and took their Star Seeds. Ultimately, Sailor Moon and the others showed up as well and Galaxia wasted no time in ordering her two newest servants to take their Star Seeds. Instead of doing so, the two turned on Galaxia herself thinking that if they would just be able to take her Star Seed that they could manage to kill her. However, it was revealed that Galaxia had no Star Seed and in return for their betrayal, she removed their bracelets and left them to die while turning her attention to the others. Sailor Moon managed to give Galaxia the strength to expel Chaos from her body, afterall, and though she nearly died in the process, she did save the world. After this battle, everyone was returned to life. The Starlights and their Princess gratefully bid their goodbyes and left for their own planet. Since the last remaining threat had been vanquished, the Outer Senshi decided to leave Tokyo once more, though they would always be able to come back if there was ever another threat to the peaceful future they all had come to know and remember.
