Broli, Sneak Attack

Well, once my update is approved I am on Vegeta and I would like to sneak attack Broli for his 22,765 zeni. Let his 72Hrs to respond, begin.

Doesn't mean he can't come back and fulfill his sneak attack, Ra.

He'll be gone for up to a year. And Alex knows this. It wouldn't be fair for people to attack members when people know they are gone.

That post was made in the "Official I will be away thread" on page two, I think. So, from what I understand, Broli should have been back on, Jul 24th 2009.

What is 'fair' anymore?

You can not ambush an inactive person. Broli may not even come back for all we know.

It has happened before, is all I'm saying.

Yeah a similar scenario just like this one happened before with the old Chibi Trunks.

I'm still against it. If that's how this works, then we need to do a roster clean up every week. Otherwise I'm going to ambush the following:

Hyuugo Kusanagi for his 3,875 zeni
Kale for his 7,880 Zeni
Cell for his 9,155 Zeni
Bardock for his CC Ship
Urido Mitsurigi for his 3,400 Zeni
Buu for his 1,900 zeni
A'grahl for his Paladin's Signet

How would you guys feel if you gave warning that you'd be inactive for a bit due to real life issues, only to come back and find your zeni and items completely wiped out because of random ambushing? There's not even any IC reason for this ambush, it's meta-gaming. Unless Broli walked around flashing his 20,000 zeni, how would anyone know he had it?

If we allow this to go through, the minute anyone acceptant of this goes away for 72+ hours, I'm ambushing them for their most valueable asset, then I will sell it and donate the zeni to everyone else on the RPG in an even amount.

Not to argue or anything, but you'd need to be on the same planet to ambush them, Reijin. >_>

You don't have IT either. And, just saying, it's happened before in the past, and it was allowed by then.


BTW: YES, I would feel bad, but Broli is on a leave for a VERY long time, so I don't think he would even be surprised if he came back to see his zeni stolen.

Uh...Reijin the person needs to have a rare item or 10,000 zeni or a dragonball to be sneaked, so that threat doesn't work out

But it's ultimately up to Alex what he wants for this.

It doesn't matter Pan, while harsh with it, Reijin is right. What if you had to go to the hospital for a month or a few weeks and someone who absolutely knew you would be gone decides to ambush you. You have absolutely no access to the internet, you come back, all your rare stuff is gone. That's dirty and not right and it shouldn't be allowed, period. As Reijin put it, it's meta-gaming.

How would you feel if your internet went out for 3 days, you came back online, and 20,000 zeni was wiped off your roster?

What if you gave a weeks warning that your grandfather died, came back 12 days later and found all of your zeni and 2 items gone from your roster?

What if you had to have some form of surgery that left you bed ridden for 21 days, only for you to come back and find that 7 items had been stolen from you because you were simply unable to get online?

Mind you, what if you also spent months working to gain these items and because some greedy bastard ambushed you, you lost months upon months of work? Personally, I wouldn't want to play on that RPG anymore.

But it's really not my call. All I'm saying is that, what goes around, comes around. The second someone goes inactive, I'm just going to pounce all over them to gain an unfair advantage.

I guess it's okay if the guy is away longer then he said he would be.

That's the thing though, it isn't easy to become 'sneakattackable'. Just take a look at how many of the members have a rare item [that's unlimited quantity], a dragonball, or 10k or more zeni. There's very few and if there are some, mostly the stronger members have them. This rpg is all about risk and if you play your cards right you won't have to worry really.

Edit: @Reijin: How often do sneak attacks happen on this rpg? Maybe an average of once a month if that. So really if your net went down for awhile, how many neutral to evil players would be on or travel to your planet to take the risk of sneak attacking you while they risk their lives at the same time of you coming back at any moment?

He spoke to Alex through aim, and told him of the situation; which would be why there is now a (*) next to his name.

This is a completely different situation compared to the old Chibi Trunk's example because CT made no note of going away, his character was not marked as inactive and held.

How can you play your cards right if something happens that forces you away unexpectedly Videl?

To answer your questions; no, I wouldn't feel too bad, knowing this is just a game. I'm just wondering what Broli did to y'all for you to defend him so much?


And oh, Flute, you can only steal one item per battle and can't battle same person twice in a row, so your theory isn't all too good either.
