Veritas is a forum-based roleplaying game that takes place in Eric Kripke's world of Supernatural. We offer a unique gameplay experience, allowing for play as a civilian, hunter, demon, or supernatural creature. Veritas also boasts the unique Chance Card system, which simulates real-life events at random, and several other roleplaying methods carefully designed by the administrators. You may request to reserve a canon for THREE DAYS after which they will be free game. You may request a hold again if your time runs out, but if this happens twice before an application is posted an Admin will have the right to deny your request.

DEAN WINCHESTER
The elder of the Winchester sons, Dean plays the part of carefree Han Solo perfectly. Beer, food, and his car make Dean a very happy camper. A jokester that seems to take most situations lightly, he does get down to business when the time comes. He isn’t your book smart guy, but common sense and his talent in the mechanical area make him a great ally. Though Dean may appear tough and carefree there is a bleeding heart under that rough exterior. In Dean’s world, family comes first. Protective over his little brother and loyal to his distant father, Dean is the glue that keeps the Winchester family together.
SAM WINCHESTER
Younger brother to Dean Winchester, Sam is the geek boy, walking encyclopedia of the pair. Skilled in combat as well, he is not someone you’d like to be on the bad side of. With the guilt and weight of the world on his shoulders, Sam feels that he is to blame for his family’s and his own tragedy (the death of his mother and girlfriend for instance). It is because of this attitude he is often told to “lighten up” by his older sibling. A strained relationship with his father does not help with his own psychological demons. Speaking of demons, Sam is one of the few chosen children born in 1983 for some diabolical scheme. When once his quest was to be normal, it has now become one of answers and redemption.
JOHN WINCHESTER
Once a Marine, always a Marine. Living by this motto, John Winchester is a rough around the edges leatherneck. Skilled in military arts, the knowledge of the supernatural and how to hunt it he has gained could amaze even the best of hunters. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for his parenting skills. Though he has tried to protect his boys and bring them up right, his selfish obsession has at times pushed them away. His road or the high road, John is a tough character to get along with, and most people don’t. Ask around. Above all he wants what remains of his family safe and that pesky thing called vengeance.
BOBBY SINGER
Bobby has this creepy thing where he knows what you are thinking. He’s been in this game a long time and if Bobby doesn’t have the answer then there probably isn’t one out there. Family doesn’t end with blood, and if Bobby sees you as family he’d go a million miles. He can also hold a grudge like nobody’s business. Your greatest ally or your worst enemy, Bobby has the knowledge, the facts, and the skill to take down anything that’s thrown at him.
GORDON WALKER: intermediate – advanced
There’s black and then there is white. Gordon only sees these two things. Terms can be changed, supernatural and human, innocent and guilty, but whatever lies in the black category dies, no questions asked. Known for his skills at hunting down vampires, Gordon is looking for the ultimate hunt and in his own sick and twisted way redemption. He’s trying to save the world. But as they say, the path to hell is paved with good intentions.
BELA TALBOT: intermediate
Not just a thief, but a great thief. Bela Talbot (or whatever name she is going by this week) sees life in dollar signs. The supernatural world is a treasure chest and she’s claiming all the good jewels. Lying, swindling, and manipulating, Bela is damn good at what she does. In fact, though many hate to admit it, she is the best at finding those rare items that seem to not be available. She may appear cold as the cash she desires yet that frozen exterior only hides a dark past.
CALEB _______
Not much is known about Caleb. He’s a hunter, a damn good one at that. What is known about him is that he is connected to John Winchester, very connected. When John needs something such as info or equipment, Caleb seems to be his go-to guy. His name floats around Winchester father and son hunting discussions regularly.
PASTOR JIM MURPHY
A man of God is a hunter’s best friend. A man of God that has a weapons arsenal to kill any hell spawn is even better. Not the everyday preacher, Jim fights the supernatural war not just with words but with bloodshed. Where do you think those hunters get their holy water blessings from? Friends with John Winchester, he has been the emergency contact and caretaker for the Winchester sons if anything did go wrong. Loyal, Pastor Jim protects his fellow hunters when they need it.
▪ ▪ DEMONS ▪ ▪
AZAZEL (Yellow Eyed Demon)
A higher level demon, Azazel makes his own rules. He wanted an army and so he created one. A game in and of itself, Azazel changes the rules to fit and manipulate the world to bend to his will. If that means killing a few innocent people, who is he to complain? Not able to resist a deal, Azazel is the perfect salesman. He always places the price in his favor and will make you see his way.
MEG MASTERS
Miss Masters used to be your normal girl from Massachusetts. “Used to be” would be the key phrase to that. One day she was normal, the next she was possessed by a demon, the daughter of Azazel. Sadistic and unmerciful, Meg carries out her “father’s” orders in creative and bloody ways. Like most demons though, her loyalties can change. For now though, she’s on the winning side.
RUBY: intermediate
A demon with a heart? If Ruby does have one then it is very small. However unlike most demons she seems to remember what it was once like to be human. At least, that’s what she says, but who wants to trust a demon? Having her own plan, she’s taken quite an interest in the special children, primarily Sam, the horse everyone’s money is on. She falls under the “enemy of my enemy is my friend” category for hunters.

LILITH
A new up and comer in the ranks of Hell, Lilith has climbed the corporate ladder. Her motivation is unclear, though she seems to want power for power’s sake. As long as Azazel is holding the reins, she won’t get as much as she’d like. With a penchant for possessing females (and little ones at that) innocence is her disguise. It is quite clear that more than one demon in the pit fears her, so don’t let that cute face fool you.
CROSSROADS DEMON: any skill level
Let’s make a deal! There may be a hundred or there might be just one, but the Crossroads Demon seems to always have something in common. It prefers brunette women, likes slinky black dresses, and has a smart mouth. But if it is a deal you are searching for, she’s your mistress. Her terms aren’t the same for everyone and she has no pity for those she collects on. Isn’t the short lived comfort she brings to people enough?
▪ ▪ CIVILIANS ▪ ▪
ELLEN HARVELLE: intermediate
Owner of “Harvelle’s Roadhouse” in Nebraska and widow to the hunter William Anthony Harvelle, Ellen serves a select cliental. Travelers come and go, and so do their stories. Ellen keeps her ear to the ground for any rumblings. Having a few encounters with John Winchester, she knows about his boys but they’ve never met. One could describe her as “tough as nails” and she isn’t afraid to pull a pistol on you. Right now it is just Ash and Ellen at the bar; her young daughter Jo is at college for the semester.
ASH ________: intermediate
Kicked out of MIT for fighting, Ash is a genius. Don’t let the mullet, lack of pants, and love of PBR fool you on that. Take one look at his super computer that he built himself and you’ll question his dumb redneck appearance. If you need to search through records or get calculations done in a day or so, Ash is there to lend a hand. He’s always around the Roadhouse. Rent is cheap and it comes with beer.
VICTOR HENRIKSEN: intermediate – advanced
An everyday man trying to do good in the world, Special Agent Henriksen of the FBI isn’t that much unlike the hunters in the world. Going after the monsters in civilian life, it isn’t his fault that a few of the secret do-gooders pop up on his radar for some less than lawful acts. He wants safer streets for the world, is that really so bad?
ANDREW “ANDY” GALLAGHER: intermediate
To think that Andy could hurt a fly is silly. He is one of the most well balanced people a person could meet. Sure he likes to smoke pot and lives in a van with a barbarian queen painted on the side, but his heart is in the right place. He cares about people and never takes more than what he needs. One of the special children born in 1983, Andy has the ability of persuasion, to put thoughts in people’s heads and sometimes images as well.
AVA WILSON: intermediate
Engaged secretary from Peoria, Ava Wilson had her white picket fences already made and months away. She had her parents and a childhood not noted with fire and flame. Living the almost perfect life, six months after her twenty-second birthday things started to get, well, weird. Ava began to get visions, dreams, of people dying weeks before it happened. Normal people don’t have stuff like that happen to them!
JAKE TALLEY: intermediate
A grunt in the US Army, Jake is currently stationed in Afghanistan with a convoy. His mother and sister are back in the States trying to make ends meet. If it weren’t for the Army, he’d be slaving away in a factory making minimum wage and barely able to support those he loves. At twenty-two, he is a natural leader, or the military training as taught him to be courageous as one. An accident occurred not too long ago where he single-handedly lifted a vehicle off of a crushed soldier. People say it was a freak adrenaline rush, but in the weight area Jake has noticed that one hundred pounds doesn’t feel quite so heavy.
MISSOURI MOSELY: advanced
Many hunters have gained the truth from Missouri, and John Winchester is one of them. Living in Lawrence, Kansas, Missouri is a psychic; a real true psychic and not the Miss Cleo you see on television. She can only tell what’s happened and what is; never the future. She also can feel spirit imprints or essences in locations and knows a few cleansing magic spells. Sometimes the truth hurts and when people come to her, it isn’t always for that but reassurance. A white lie never really hurt anyone. Not liking attitude, Missouri scolds disrespect and laziness.
ED ZEDDMORE: intermediate – advanced
A professional paranormal investigator, at least that’s what he says he is, Ed takes it on himself to go where no man has gone before! A nice movie deal would be nice as a reward for doing it of course. Self proclaimed leader, he has an ego that outmatches greater men. Co-founder and webmaster of Hell Hound’s Lair dot-com, Ed approaches every task with one question. What would Buffy do?
HARRY SPENGLER: intermediate – advanced
Co-Leader and founder of Hell Hounds Lair dot-com, Harry is the weaker of the duo. Usually Ed walks all over him. He dislikes rats and peeing in front of people. A fan of Lord of the Rings, he’s hoping that their current gig of investigating ghosts (that he heard… once…) will lead to developing an RPG, also known as a role playing game. There’s a little lingo for you.
LISA BRAEDEN
Dubbed as Gumby-Girl, Lisa Braeden is a weekend tryst of Dean’s circa 1999. She has a six year old son named Ben; a son that seems to have characteristics much like a certain Winchester. The truth and paternity test are out on that, but she’s a strong willed single mom who does what she can to give her son a good life. A normal one? Well, in this world there is nothing that is normal.

TRICKSTER: intermediate – advanced
A demi-god, tricksters have had many names over time. Coyote in the Southwest United States, Anansi in West Africa, and Monkey in Asia are all names attributed to this creature. There seems to be one that has taken an interest in Sam and Dean’s lives. His mission is to teach those who find themselves high and mighty (in Dean’s words “Dicks”) a lesson that will bring them down a peg or two. Usually it is in a hilarious yet often deadly way. With a sweet tooth and a sense of humor, he always comes up with a creative way to help you out.
