Who doesn't need friends, right? Olive needs people who can put up with the fact that she might not always mean what she says, and not take offense when she doesn't think before she speaks. She's generally a really sweet girl, but she has her moments, just like anyone else. I think she'd probably get along with guys and girls equally well, and could be considerably close with either group.

HAPPINESS IS A WARM GUN

Because Olive is very upfront with people about what she thinks of them, it wouldn't be surprising if she had some people who didn't get along with her very well.

ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE

Olive doesn't fare well when it comes to love. She has no idea what she's looking for in a relationship, and things never really seem to work out for her. She dates a lot, but never gets too attatched to any of the guys-even when they start getting attatched to her. So I guess I'm looking for guys she may have dated in the past? Plus, a close guy friend that she may actually develop real feelings for, but holds off telling him for the sake of not 'ruining their friendship'.

I'm up for just about anything plot wise, so if you have any ideas, lemme know!

Olive seems easy enough to understand, to someone on the outside, who doesn't know her well. Most recognize her as "the poor girl from that small town who got really, really lucky", when really she's much more than that. Her artistic nature has allowed her to pursue many different opportunities, all of which have made her all the more hardworking. Also, her family situation (them not being financially stable, etc.) has lead her to always want to strive for the best, so that one day she'll be able to repay them for how wonderful they've always been to her. She's also very optimistic, and tries to tell herself that as long as she puts her best foot forward, she'll be able to accomplish just about anything. These traits make her very easy to work with, and any director's dream actor, since most can be quite conceited, and whiney.

Olive always tries to be there for her friends. She believes the best thing that you can do for another person is just be there for them, and make sure that they know that you're there for them. Though the same courtesy may not always be extended to her, Olive doesn't mind. One thing that she has to watch though, is that she doesn't feel the need to censor what she says. If she's thinking it, chances are she won't have a problem saying it out loud. Obviously this could be a problem if her thought is particularly hurtful. Normally she makes a point of apologizing, but sometimes she just doesn't get it. When someone makes her upset though, she is not one to forget. This girl can hold grudges for years at a time. But while she isn't one to forget, she does forgive, and almost always gives people another chance.

In relationships, Olive is generally very unsure, and she still, even at eighteen, doesn't know what she wants. She loves being with guys, talking, cuddling, kissing, but she's never felt a real connection with any of the guys she's dated. For this reason, she has a harder time committing to a relationship than most people. She can last a month or two, but anything more than that is just pushing it. It normally ends with her saying something hurtful, or them just calling her a tease, them moving on to someone prettier, more popular, and Olive alone. She normally wouldn't mind the lonliness to much, but it often just makes her feel like screw up.

Anyway, I'm thinking friends, because something about this girl is just oddly endearing for James. (: I think that their sort of 'weirdness' would mesh well together too. I could see them being really close friends. Maybe the guy Olive has a thing for, but doesn't wanna ruin anything because they have such a great friendship. Even though keeping it to herself is completely against her nature. Soo yeah. Lol. I'm bad at coming up with plot ideas at 8:40 at night, apparently. Lol.

He eventually gets together with Olive, leaving Emeline a little hearbroken, but she takes it in stride. HOWEVER, when she meets Olive, all she can see is her bad qualities (forwardness) and is torn between her crush and her friend's happinness. That would add some interest, eh?
