AWK RULES!
Yes, rules suck but we have to have them for many
different reasons. Reason number one being that
you need to know what is and isn’t accepted on the site.
So just follow all the rules and we’ll be happy. Oh we
have the right at any point in time to change the rules
you will be informed on said changes.
CHARACTERS & POSTING
Okay on AWK there is no character limit on ho many characters
you can play. We all have our character whoring moments just be sure
that you can play them all and don’t take more then you can chew.
Just make sure that to every three girls the fourth is a guy.
When registering please remember to follow the set guidelines which are
to register with proper capitalization. If you mess up please feel free to
PM an that is online we will be more then happy to change it for you.
We do require an application to be filled out before you begin posting
please do so and wait for it to be accepted before plotting or posting
we are quite good at seeing one is done and accepting it. Also please
take a look at the face claims and the wanted characters before making
your app we don’t want a face that’s already taken to be used. Or for someone
who’s requesting a face for their plot to get a face taken that has nothing to do
with said plot. Also please make sure that your face isn’t too old for the carries
age. Another thing to think about when making a carrie on here is this is not a
based on site. What am I trying to say? Get creative and make a character that isn't
an exact double for their play-by face or someone that that play-by played in a movie or
on television. If we catch you doing this you're application will get put in pending right
away. So it really just makes more work for all involved. So please use your creativity
that I know you have. If you do somehow manage to slip by us with a application that matches
your character's counterpart, onscreen or off, we will delete the account right away and move
the application to the inactive characters. And that's just really sad, so please be creative.
Another thing that we really don't want to see on here is a RPer using their own name for
the character's name. Again, it's just not that creative and slightly creepy. We've had members
in the past use their own names for the name and even themself for the PB. It got way too creepy.
So please come up with a brand knew name that you don't have. Another thing to keep in mind is
that we only allow celebrity play-bys on here. if you're in question contact a admin please. but
a good rule of thumb is are they in a position that they could appear on the cover of a well
known magazine if they so choose to do so.
When plotting please keep in mind that our site is made in Dallas, only the
colleges provided are the ones your carrie can go to. No going out of state or
out of city. If your carrie tours or goes to a college or leaves Dallas they will
be delted. Please remember this. Also please dont use plot lines over and over
If there are two characters married in vegas and didnt know about it till the morning
we dont need a third couple doing this as well. Same goes with other plots that
was just an example.
When posting there are a few things that we don’t like one being super short posts
we understand with school and everything that you may not have muse but at the
minimum have at least two lines of a post it is preferred to have 1-2 chunky paragraphs.
Also please try and keep up with the person you are posting with. Nothing is worse then
writing 500 words and getting 40 in return. Things that are also a big no on AWK is
godmoding please kept to playing your own character. Unless the rper has given you
permission to use their character in a god mod like way to move the thread faster.
No Mary Sue type characters nobody is perfect not in the real world and not in RPG world.
No chat speak please use the full words when writing and please use punctuation. Oh
don’t use your knowledge of what is going to happen with a plot and turn it into your
characters knowledge because there is no way for them of knowing.
GRAPHICS & SIGS
Please make sure that your signature isn’t too wide that it’ll stretch
out the board if used. We know not everyone has a program
like photoshop or paintshop pro so we have a requests area for you
or you can get it from a place like caution. Please credit peoples
graphics you use in the intrest section of your profile. Oh and no hotlinking
please use your own phtotobucket, tiny pic, image shack whichever you like best.
If you see any of your graphics being used on AWK and it is not credited or being
hotlinked please pm one of the staff members. This is what you’ll need for your application:

CONDUCT & MISC.
This board is rated ‘r’ or ‘m’. Sex, drugs, death and all that jazz happen
in real life so were allowing all of this. Please if your making a thread where any
of this is present mark it [m] so wonderers don’t stumble on it. Please also make sure
the person your rping with is okay with it before you continue we don’t
want people uncomfortable. Although character deaths, pregnancies, rapes,
proposals and all that jazz is allowed please clear it with an admin first.
We just don’t want 10 pregnant characters walking around the site. I know
the likely hood of this happening in the real world is great but we can be
more creative with our carries then getting them all pregnant and killed right?
I thought so.
Every member of AWK may that be staff or a member deserves to be treated
with respect. Please don’t bash someone’s believes or try and make them
see your way if they don’t want to. Also please no racism towards any member
or making fun of them in any way shape or form. Please plot with all the carries on
the site and not just carries that have pictures together. Oh and one last rule
remember to have fun!
