Personality: Marnie is generally an easy going person. She has a good sense of humor and loves making people laugh. She's compassionate, kind, gentle, patient and shy at times. Marnie will treat you how you treat her. If you respect her and talk to her the right way, she'll gladly return the favor. If you're sarcastic to her for no reason, she'll do the same right back to you. She's loyal and will do anything for her close friends. She cn be either your best friend or your worst enemy.
Marnie has some flaws of course. She can get easily jealous and sometimes jumps to conclusions without hearing the rest of the story. She's stubborn and sometimes pig headed. Once her mind is set on something she rarely changes it for anything. Marnie can be a bit abrasive as well and not being tactful at times.
Being Marnie's ex boyfriend cheated on her 2 years ago, she's very guarded around men. While she can get along with them just fine, she's terrified to let them in and open up to them for fear that they'll leave her as well. This caused her to build up some walls around her heart. It would take someone patient and caring to finally break them down.
Marnie's generally social and likes meeting new people. However she can be shy around certain ones, mainly guys. She is very loyal and takes her job seriously. She isn't judgmental and likes to be fair and yet compassionate at the same time.
History: Marnie grew up in the typical house. She wasn't an only child growing up and had 2 siblings. She and her mom were extremely close. With her father, not so much.
After she learned about the Zoans, Marnie wanted to get into the line of work to protect them. She had a best friend growing up, which later delved the information out that she was a Zoan. She was terrified at first to tell Marnie, but when she did, Marnie promised to keep her secret. Ever since then, Marnie has sworn to keep their existance from the unsuspecting public. She didn't like the way that some people treated the idea of the existance of the Zoans, even though she never told anyone. Her best friend named Kate, told her of the ZI branch and she immediately wanted to join there to start to help the Zoans in society. She originally is from Ireland, grew up there, but moved here to Killamarsh about 3 years ago. She knew that there were some out there not entirely too thrilled with their existance. Marnie began the necessary skills and joined the ZI team.
Marnie decided to tell her family about Kate's true being. Her mother accepted it just fine, while her father, seemed affronted by it. At that time, she didn't put two and two together that he was against the Zoans. The whole family decided to move at that time, granted it was her father's idea to pick up the entire family, hoping that if Marnie was away from Kate, she'd forget about the existance. But it didn't work out that way. Marnie still remembered everything.
Her father she later learned was one of those people that were against the existance of zoans or anything possibly relating to the supernatural. Her father didn't know the whole truth abotu the ZI team and Marnie was afraid to tell him for fear that he wouldn't accept her anymore.
Her younger sister Tamara, is currently in high school. She doesn't mind the Zoans existance and hopes to eventually follow in Marnie's footsteps, but again, has to walk on egg shells around their father. A few years ago, Marnie recieved word after coming back from an investigation, that her father passed away. He had gotten into a car accident.
Marnie decided to move back in with her mother after spending 2 years on her own. She then helped her mother around the house and her mother ended up losing her job. Tamara finished high school and right away got a part time job which she's saving up to go to the necessary classes she needs to become an investigator. Marnie headed to the CID branch, and is now currently working for them.
