November 22nd - The coldest, most bitter part of the winter has come, the new year having recently past. Blizzards seem to be blowing harshly more often than not, and some areas of the pack lands are becoming impassable to wolves, with snow banks reaching tremendous heights. All lakes as well as slow-flowing rivers have frozen over sturdily enough to be tread upon, but caution is still urged.
Current Meetings ; be sure to remember to post! Hellion Faction - Lookout Mountain - Wolfiend Captives - Timber Woods - &Wolfiends
Also all new characters/members that are wolves/shifters must begin to join a pack within 2 weeks of their register date or they WILL be captured by the Wolfiends.

Hadrian had been waiting weeks for this moment, worrying tirelessly about it, as he watched his newly given faction grow in some size. He had gained two members (which was amazing, under the stressful circumstances), Ruedi and J.C., his mate. Other than that, there were still the original members, Catalina, his second in command, Bailee....and, one other, who made him begin to fret greatly once more as he paced back and forth in the War Room. Kaden - no one had seen him in forever and there were rumors that he had left the Faction all together. Well, it wasn't that surprising, there aren't that many wolves around here anymore.
But that was going to change, Hadrian would see to that. There would be many changes and hopefully for the good of the faction. They needed to band together to survive these unusual times. They couldn't just wander off onto the streets anymore - they'd be captured. No, they'd have to come up with some sort of strategy. Just...the five or so of them...
The number discouraged him as he paused to sigh. Well, they'd make it work. He was the leader now and he had to do something with this pack. It wouldn't last long if he didn't.
So, with that decision in mind, Hadrian raced swiftly up to the top of the Hellion Tower. Once there, he took one long, despairing look around that the desolation around him and let out a powerful, regal howl that resonated all over the terra. His thick, ashy black fur rippled in the early winter wind as he stood there for another moment. Then he made the trek back down into the War Room. And there he waited for his troops to march in.

Her eyes snapped awake as Hadrian's howl rang through her ears from the Hell Room, which wasn't too far from the quarters that she was in right now. She sat up, her maw opening wide in a yawn as she forced herself to fully awaken from her nap. She glanced outside her door, which was left open simply because she'd have a hell of hard time turning the doorknob with her paws. She still wasn't quite used to living as a wolf 100% of the time, although she was adapting slowly. She stood, shaking herself off before padding outside her quarters and towards the room where Hadrian was waiting.
She was the first to arrive, although she wasn't surprised simply because besides Bailee, she didn't know any other of the Hellions, if there were even any more. In the charts left behind by Casanova, there were a few names down, although she hadn't seen any of them since she had taken over. Hopefully there were new recruits since Hadrian had become leader, or else they were going to have one empty meeting between the two or three of them. Catalina nodded in recognition towards Hadrian, standing off to his side slightly, facing the same direction as she waited for others to arrive.

Bailee jerked, scaring away the one measly bird she'd been hunting, when a howl rang through the faction terra. Her ears laid back against her head as she glared dully at the spot the bird had been a few moment before turning in the direction of the tower. Was this supposed to be a pack meeting? For however long she had been here she couldn't remember there ever being a pack meeting - that was a bit surprising that they were calling the meeting now, though they needed one really bad.
The off-white fae (who looked more like a dark gray, what with all the soot all over the place and the river dried up) tried to shake some of the soot off her fur before trotting the short way to the tower. After climbing up the flight of stairs Bailee had to follow the two scents of Catalina and she guessed Hadrian, the one Catalina told her was the new head, because she wasn't sure where the meeting room was. She stopped, tried to look herself over, and poked her head in to see the two.
"Hi," She said a bit bluntly, looking around the room before walking in fully. She took a seat. "I hope this isn't all?"

Did he just hear a howl? Kaden's gaze shot in the direction in came from -- the tower. He stood there for a few seconds, giving the fact that there actually were others here at the faction time to register into his mind. He wondered if he should attend, seeing as he hasn't acted as a member in almost a year -- the faction was inactive for that long. Considering the fact that he wasn't quite accepted as a Wolfiend just yet, he figured he'd still be considered a Hellion. He did, after all, have some schemes up his sleeve that he intended to talk to the leaders about, whoever they were right now.
After a few minutes, he arrived at the tower, climbing up the worn out stairs to the floor which held the War Room. He glanced inside to spot three others already there, none of which he'd seen before. One, the older fae, he recognized by scent; her smell was all around the territory, however right now it didn't seem as if she was the head anymore since she wasn't the one who had called for a meeting. His gaze shifted towards the brute, whose stance hinted that he was in charge -- had there been a leader switch again? He sighed, entering the room and greeting the three with a simple 'hello', then taking a seat a ways off from them as he waited for others to arrive, or for any instruction.

I was pretty far off on the lines of the boarders when I herd my loves call. A meeting? Already? Did we even have enough for one of these? His call had barely reached me, it would take me awhile to get to him. I picked my pace up into a run, flying past anything and everything. I soon picked up on two new scents, one male the other female. Even though I hadnt met Catalina I was very familor with her scent. The one males scent was quite differnet though, almost as if I knew this scent. I couldnt put my finger on it but I knew that I knew it.
I slowed to a walk as I came to the entrance of where everyone was. The male was there, slightly in the entrance. I almost walked past him but I froze. The smell had finally clicked in my head. My hackles rose and my fangs wished to show them selves. "Who are you?" I demanded to him. He smelled of the wolfiends. I knew this place all too well. I was a former captive, tortured and forced to things such as have pups and give them up at birth. My ears flatned against my skull and I was ready to rip his throat out. "Why do you smell like the wolfiends?"
At the time I couldnt remember if I had told Hadrian or not about what had happened to me. It was something that I wanted to keep a secret. But now he would know why I was so uneasy about being a wolf, and every new person I crossed. I knew all too well what this wolf before me was and I was two seconds away from killing him. I was paying no attention to my mate, Catalina or the other young female that was standing in the room. My full focus was on this stranger. I would not go back to the wolfiends.

ooc: i guess. :(
Hadrian watched will glowing pride as his faction trooped into the War Room one by one, his blackened heart swelling as he lavished each one of them with friendly glances. He wanted everyone to be welcomed here - this was their home. He nodded respectively at Catalina as she took her rightful place beside him. He greeted everyone else with a simple but effective 'welcome' as they all filed in. Soon, after what seemed like no time at all, it seemed as if whomever was coming...had come. Hadrian's bold grey-blue eyes flickered to the doorway, almost willing Ruedi to materialize at the door, before he brought his attention back to the other wolves in the room. He was about to speak when he heard J.C.'s surprising growl. Hadrian's orbs filled with calm but stirring fervor as his gaze shifted to where his mate had confronted their lead spy, Kaden.
"J.C.," He called in an adoring but brisk voice. He wanted to get this meeting underway - without any risky confrontations. "Leave the man alone - I"m sure he'll explain himself soon enough." He shot Kaden with a knowing look before coaxing J.C. to back down with a loving glance. He cleared his gruff voice before starting out his speech again.
"Hello and thank you all for coming," He began as he focused his orbs on each and every one of the faces that were in front of him. "I know you all must be wondering why you are here. Well, we'll get to that soon enough," He paused as his gaze lingered on J.C.. His heart beat quicker and his smiled. "I think introductions are in order first." His eyes jumped to the door again as he spoke.
"So, let's all go around and introduce ourselves, shall we?" His grin wasn't forced in the least as he turned to Catalina who sat beside him. He thought that this was the best way to start out their meeting - he really didn't think he should bring up his plan when no one actually knew anyone else here. "I'm Hadrian Blackburn, you're new leader...and most of you know Catalina..." He trailed off, sort of handing over the baton to his second in command as he smiled on.
ooc: posting order (so that no one will screw up or anything): Hadrian, Catalina, Bailee, Kaden, J.C., and Ruedi, if he ever shows up. ;)

Catalina watched as both Hellions of new and old entered; she was glad to see that there were a few others that have joined since Hadrian had taken over -- a meeting of three was not quite something she wanted to see. Seeing Bailee enter, she flashed her a small smile. She was one of the few that Catalina enjoyed the presence of and never really got annoyed at. Her gaze then shifted to ..Kaden, was it? She'd never really formally met him, nor seen him, although she knew that he was the only one who was still around since Casanova's reign. Something about him seemed shady because of his scent, although she could tell that the scent of the faction still dominated over the wolfiends.
Soon after, she noticed another female walk in, one she didn't know.. although almost immediately she made it obvious that this was the fae Hadrian was with. So, this was her, huh? Catalina looked her up and down, observing her carefully, although made no comment. Seeing her hostility towards Kaden, she took a step forward, ready to step in should there be a fight. Although she wasn't on either side, she found no reason for there to be any confrontations -- at least, not yet. Besides, the ability to hold back one's emotions was a quality she found necessary in a Hellion.
As Hadrian spoke, Catalina's focus moved over to him, listening carefully. As it became her turn to speak, she looked over at the few who had come, eyeing each one carefully. "Welcome everyone," she said. "As you may or may not know, I've handed the position of leader over to Hadrian simply because I see him better fit than myself, although don't take it lightly," she stated bluntly. She shot a look to each of them, as if giving them all a warning should they respect her any less than before -- she was still second and had just as much power as she did before. Her gaze then turned to Bailee to continue with the introductions, seeing as she seemed to be the nearest to her besides Hadrian.

Bailee was relieved, a little, to see Catalina give her a small smile as she came in. Well, if she was sitting right next to the other guy and she was second in command, then by default the guy was Hadrian. So, in order to be at least a little polite, when giving the weak smile back to Catalina she included Hadrian as well. She couldn't wait for the meeting to get started already so she knew what was going on. Bailee was still young and never one for sitting still for very long.
Just as she was beginning to wonder if she should ask if anyone else was coming when another wolf arrived in the doorway. Light brown eyes switched from the two leaders to the newcomers, frowning a bit as she did so. Hmm... who was this? It was definitely an old member... really old, like before-her-time-here old, because she didn't recognize the scent. But she smelled a faint trace of Wolfiends on him. Bailee bristled just a little, wondering on what exactly he had come from the Wolfiends for - released from captivity or as a spy, or did he just happen to pop in there and make it out alive?
The arrival and reaction of a female soon after the older male came into the room affirmed that the younger wolfess - the youngest here, it seemed, as no one followed the woman - wasn't smelling things; he had come from the Wolfiends. Hadrian stood up and quieted the female (who was she? Catalina mentioned something about a mate...) and then officially started the meeting.
So they were introducing themselves. Bailee smiled grimly to herself. This should be fun. Hadrian went first, Catalina was next - and then it was her turn already, since she was closest to the Second in Command. "I'm Bailee," She started simply, unsure of what else to say. "Apparantly I'm the youngest in the whole Hellion Faction - 14 human - and I've been around since a little after Catalina arrived." She smirked again at the thought of her age, hesitated for a split second, and went on. "I'm here because I have nowhere else to go... my brother Freddy was taken by the Wolfiend 2 years ago this coming Summer and the pack I took refuge in was wiped out. I want to get back at the Wolfiends - I want to get my brother back. I'm willing to do whatever it takes. And that's that."
She glanced sideways at the male and female beside the door - the male had come in first so it was his turn at this point. She just wondered what he'd have to say about everything - who he was, where he'd been, and what he was doing back here.

Kaden eyed each of the wolves carefully, observing each of them. None of them were anything like the Hellions he once knew, although he wasn't complaining. In the past, they were quite unorganized, many were reckless and were blinded by their love to kill. None of them seemed to hold that bloodthirst that a few past members did and he was glad -- they annoyed the hell out of him. Although everyone classified the faction as the 'bad' wolves, he disliked it when things weren't very thought through and others acted as the urge came to them -- it rarely ended well. His first impression of this 'new' style of leadership was going well so far; the two leaders seemed responsible and not careless, nor frantic as had the previous leader been. What the hell happened to Casanova anyways? He'd suddenly disappeared and Kaden heard nothing of him since then.
He was jerked out of his thoughts as the female who entered not long after he had suddenly confronted him. He stiffened slightly -- okay so, maybe not all of them were as calm as he thought a few moments ago. What right did she have to jump to conclusions? "Whoa, whoa. Relax," he muttered to her, his tone completely calm. A few moments later, by Hadrian's next actions, he learned that she was apparently his mate. He shot a look at her, forcing himself to shake off any sense of irritation he had at that moment.
Introductions? He wasn't a big fan of the whole get-to-know-each-other idea, and hoped it went by fast and didn't go past names or a little basic info... he wanted to get to the point. He wanted the plans to be in place, and he wanted his assignment. The sudden need for action sent a thrill up his spine; it'd been far too long since he's done, well, anything really. As Hadrian took his turn, Kaden kept quiet and listened. Although they hadn't spoken much yet, he knew Hadrian had some plans for him and hopefully the full on plan would be announced today. Following the leader, was his second in command, Catalina, then a younger fae he wouldn't have expected to see here. Brother in the wolfiends, huh?
Then it was his turn; all eyes were on him. God, did he hate this sort of thing. "Kaden," he stated simply, then hesitated briefly, shuffling thoughts around in order to figure out something to say. "No, I'm not from the Wolfiends.. kind of. You'll know why I smell like 'em later," he said, gaze shifting to J.C. briefly as he semi-directed the statement to her. "I've been in the Hellions since before Catalina came around. I'd tell you guys that I have all sorts of info and whatnot since I've been here so long, but I don't. Truthfully, not much has happened." And it was true. Hardly anything important has happened since he'd joined, besides the various leader switches and whatnot. He then glanced across the room, to J.C. -- the last to introduce herself.

OoC This was suppose to be "Ruedi", but I changed him into a dog mix. --
Red engulfed the dark night, as the sounds of snarls and shrills pierced the air. Ice and dirt were being kicked into the eyes of two canines that were fighting in the middle of circled wolves. One was a larger, silver canine, who just had his eye gorged. The other was a tawny, smaller canine who seemed to be of mix breed; and the side of his rib cage seemed to be visible to the nakid eye. Both were exhuasted, and at the verge of death. The silver wolf then lunged for the mutt, who inturn, started to have some sort of psychotic attack. First his eye started to twitch as his throat was being crushed by hungry teeth. Then all of a sudden, his vision started to get fuzzy and everything the dog had started to leak through. Without having any regard for pain, or sanity for that matter, he threw his body back in a horizontal which in turn through the one eyed canine off balance. He let the dog go, because he wanted to regain footing. This was a mistake because the psycho breezed on by toward his opponent front paw and grabbed it between seasoned jaws. Crushing the tiny bones that were located there, he, like a crocodile, threw himself on the ground and kept rolling around, until his opponent's forearm was seperated in several parts and mangeled. The silver wolf screamed for mercy so hard, that the pitch from it's mouth irritated the bystanders, and resulted in a feeding frenzy. So he had won, but why was he exiled? Was it because of what ran through his veins?
Eyes bolted right open as he heard the voice of his beloved leader. Vinko's fur stood on end as he could have sworn some animal was stalking him. The German Shepherd mix started to growl at whatever was looking at him. Thinking he saw something, he ran right toward it but that only resulted him in bashing his skull in the hard bark of a tree. Unlike a sane being, not a single sound escaped his dark maws. Instead, he recollected his battered body and started to walk toward where he thought he had heard the alpha of the territory. His gate was brisk, but the reason for his delay to the meeting was that he ended up in different locations. As you see, the delicate membrane that dogs had located within their nostrils had been fried due to the excessive use of cocaine. So in other words, his sense of smell was non existent. He could not hold a scent and his vision had been temporarily been tampered with due to the collision of the tree. It took an extra 15 minutes than the norm for him to finally get to the tower. Even getting up the crookid stairs caused him problems. His aggression kicked in as he saw random rootes that stook out of the stoned walls. He snatched a few and started tugging them, but once he figured out that he could not make them budge, he left them. alone.
He had finally made it to the meeting. His amber eyes started to shift from wolf to wolf. He had wondered if these new wolves were going to judge him like his previous pack. Why did it matter if he was not 100% a wolf?! Vinko growled, which probably gave him a bad first impression. His gaze landed on Hadrian, which help clear his mind. He would not disrespect or embarress his boss, even if that black bitch was there (which was the fact). He had learned to numb feelings at certain times and this would be one of those times.
The German Shephard limped toward his boss, and took a "seat" about 5 inches beside him. His eyes looked glazed as he looked at the ground infront of him. He missed the whole "introduce" part, so he just let his head go limp.

I was pretty much a emotional wreck. I had been dealing with alot at the moment. From wanting to kill myself to being put in this horrid form permanently to now having flash backs of the wolfiends. I did not want this wolf in my preasence what so ever. I had zero trust for anyone and just by Catalinas reaction I already didnt like her. I told Hadrian that I was different, I had the sort of blood love he didnt seem to have. This time his preasence didnt calm me. I knew what the wolfiends were about and I sure the hell would not go back. Even though Hadrian was the leader, he was my mate, he was supposed to have my back. My ears pinned them selves more against my skull as my gaze stayed locked on Kaden.
This obviously wasnt the place for me. I knew what the hellions were...well what they used to be. With the attitudes now they wouldnt have a chance in hell against the wolfiends. Catalina had really drug the place down. But I suppose thats you get when you bring in the wrong female for the job. I stood for a few more minunets realizing that it was turn to speak. I only shook my head and walked out. I couldnt do this any more, I wasnt happy and Hadrian had too much to deal with. I wasnt equal with him weather he would accept it or not. I didnt want to be near Kaden I couldnt be without killing him. I made my way through the opening of the room and back out into the daylight. My ears were still flatned and my mind was running wild. I needed to either leave or just cool down. I hadnt decided fully, but the leaving part sounded great. I kept walking, getting further and further away from the others.

Hadrian didn't speak a word as introductions circled around the room, his face blank of all emotion, as he listened to each one speak in turn. It was quite nice to hear everyone's little tidbits, and he even smiled broadly when Vinko finally came into the room. He had made it. He breathed a sigh of relief when the whole faction was finally together, until...
J.C. stormed out of the room. Hadrian's face fell and he twitched in his seating position - he was torn between two options: one, leave the faction for J.C. and ruin what might be his best impression so far, or two, stay and hope that J.C. came back in by herself. The War Room fell into an awkward silence as he waited in vain. Then he sighed, knowing that his pack came before his mate (even if it rendered his heart senseless all the same).
He stood up soundly after a few minutes and met Kaden's eyes from across the room. He didn't know where to turn at the moment, and what he was about to say centered around him mainly. He paused for some sort of effect, then he dived in. "My fellow members, I'm sure you've all noticed the sudden and drastic changes that have taken over Wolf's Tear in the past months. The air is foully polluted, and what's more - we've lost our ability to shift." He crossed the room as he paced, his voice growing more powerful with each statement.
"Now we are left nearly helpless, as snow falls down upon our empty terra. We can't leave without risking getting caught by either the Wolfiends or humans, so what will we do for food?" He stopped by Bailee, looking her keenly in the eyes before turning full circle to view the whole group once more. "Well, I have a plan," He stated firmly as he glanced from Catalina to Kaden. "And it involves the infiltration and invasion of the Wolfiends." He swallowed roughly here, knowing that they all must be doubting him now.
"Now, this can't be accomplished without the ability to shift. Well, that's where our lead spy, Kaden, comes in. He will successfully infiltrate the Wolfiends headquarters, supposedly join their ranks, and smuggle us out enough pills to attack them." Hadrian smiled at Kaden here, both proud and nervous and the same time. His eyes fell to the floor for a second as he breathed in deeply. Here came the hard part. "And when the time for battle comes, we won't be alone in the fight - no, I've made a pact with the Timber Woods, promising peace between our packs, and support in the fight against our mutual enemies..." His grey eyes rose hopefully once more as they gazed around the room. "This means that Kaden will have to provide both our packs with enough pills to complete the mission successfully." He nodded towards Kaden, knowing that he would get the whole message.
"Now, whose willing to risk their lives for the sake of the faction?" He asked boldly, his stunning smile slipping back onto his lips as he spoke. Now that everything was explained, his mind went back to J.C.. His gaze flickered over to the doorway as he waited for his answer - wishing with all his might that she would walk back in the door.

Catalina watched as each member took their respective turns to briefly introduce themselves. Each and every one of them had such different qualities and for a moment, she wondered if they would agree to Hadrian's plans -- although, what choice did they have? Rebellion was not tolerated here and she was sure each of them knew the punishments should they try. As it eventually reached J.C.'s turn, she quickly fled without a word. She huffed to herself, slightly disappointed in Hadrian for picking such a.. weak mate. Thank God the faction didn't work like other packs and she wouldn't have to work under someone with the likes of her.
Catalina hoped J.C.'s actions didn't affect Hadrian's professionalism, because she trusted him to put the faction first before anything and he'd agreed to that. To her satisfaction, he did, although she could tell he was obviously affected by her sudden exit -- she could care less though. She hated to work with other females and if this fae was so affected by even the scent of the Wolfiends, what use would she be in the plan? A pretty bystander? Hell no. Just because she was Hadrian's mate doesn't mean she'd pity her. The faction wasn't a 'family' like the other packs were, so she wouldn't give a crap if she got along with the others or not.
Her body tensed as her anger built, although she tried her best to hold it in for the sake of the meeting and whatever else. She quivered slightly in her spot, although it remained unnoticeable to the others. Her focus then returned to Hadrian as he began to speak and let the plan be known. She listened carefully, her gaze drifting to Kaden as he was mentioned -- she didn't quite trust him as of yet, although she had no reason to suspect otherwise. "Ah, so you've finalized the pact with Allison? Good," she said. "Kaden -- good luck and prove yourself to the faction," she said firmly. Her gaze then shifted to the others for their confirmation in the plan.

Bailee blinked, just sitting quietly while dramatic events akin to the soap operas her mother used to watch when she was younger (oh, how long ago that was! like another life, before Wolf's Tear, before Freddy being taken) began to unfold. As soon as the young fae had finished her introduction and looked to the male, he began to speak and the female turned and just left. Plain out left, right in the middle of the meeting! And then this... kinda (kind of being a major understatement) crazy looking dog came in and sat down. Since no one else really reacted, and he smelled like the Hellion Faction, she didn't either, but it was still strange and she still eyed him with a curious expression.
All the events that progressed in a few moments were nearly lost on her. She was so confused... relationship crap and drama was just not her thing. Maybe it would have been, if she'd grown up normally, but not after all this. Once Hadrian began speaking about the problems at hand and everyone seemed to settle she forgot about it, shifting in her seat to better stare at him as he circled the room. When he looked her straight in the eyes, she felt shivers go down her back - not from any real sort of fear, but from the atmosphere of the situation. The plan of launching onto the Wolfiends... damn, did she wanna be a part of that! If they could infiltrate the Wolfiends, she could get in to her brother and let him out...
Of course, she didn't think that the Wolfiends already knew who she was and had her file... she didn't know that the Wolfiends were already alert for her to try and come in, that she wouldn't be able to set foot near the place without them knowing where she was from and why she was there. She didn't know there was any direct way she could participate in this plan unless she was part of the last to storm in. Seeing her would immediately tip them off. But of course, she didn't actually know any of that, and nothing but the thought of rescuing Freddy went through her mind.
But, who Hadrian said they were teaming up with to accomplish this almost changed Bailee's whole happiness about the idea. The young fae swiftly looked down at the floor, auds almost flat against her skull. Uh-oh... Timber Woods was not a name she wanted to hear right now. Faith was in that pack. Faith was the puppy Bailee had abandoned to come here, to fight the Wolfiends. She had hoped she'd never see the young pup until she had returned with Freddy in tow, explaining why she'd left her when she was less than a year old to fend for herself on their terra without so much as a good-bye. If they were in an alliance with Timber Woods... that was out the window.
Right after Hadrian asked if they were all ready to go kick some ass for the faction (which Bailee nodded eagerly to the floor to) the young fae looked up and said in a low tone to him, "Sir, what exactly does being in an alliance with Timber Woods mean? Other than the fact that we're going to be fighting with them against the Wolfiends... are we going to be doing anything else, any other sort of, uh, interaction?" It was hard to convey her question of, 'are we going to be hanging out with them a lot? because i've got a kid who was basically my little sister in there who probably hates my guts because I left her by herself there before coming here and I really don't wanna be hanging with her at the moment' without actually saying any of that.
