November 22nd - The coldest, most bitter part of the winter has come, the new year having recently past. Blizzards seem to be blowing harshly more often than not, and some areas of the pack lands are becoming impassable to wolves, with snow banks reaching tremendous heights. All lakes as well as slow-flowing rivers have frozen over sturdily enough to be tread upon, but caution is still urged.
Current Meetings ; be sure to remember to post! Hellion Faction - Lookout Mountain - Wolfiend Captives - Timber Woods - &Wolfiends
Also all new characters/members that are wolves/shifters must begin to join a pack within 2 weeks of their register date or they WILL be captured by the Wolfiends.

I threw the papers I was looking at down on the desk. "This is bull shit! How in the hell could this place go this far down the god damn hill?" None the less I was pissed off about the lack of wolfiends and captives. The leader before me didnt care for the sad souls of the wolves like I was doing now. I made sure that they had gotten fed and they were well taken care of. That was for the time being of course. I had no clue what to do with them of course, not yet, not with so few of wolfiends. Torture crossed my mind but I would let them stay on edge, I hadnt made my mind up yet. There was one wolf that I had debated on contacting, Hayden. She was a past leader but her chart stated that she was now apart of a pack. Heh maybe this Aslen could tell me something.
I walked from my office to the front desk. "Grace could you be a dear and page all of the wolfiends?" She nodded and did so. "When they get here please send them to the conference room." During my rein I had compleately gutted the inside of the building. It was too dark and depressing for me.
It was now better and I had even added onto the building, creating a house for the wolfiends to crash here if they wanted. The kennels were even up dated with the latest security. The fences surrounding the pace were pushed back to create room, and they were also doubled up. Concrete was poored beneth the fences and grass and dirt was placed over it. No one could get in or out. The kennels were now more liveable, they were heated and cooled. And a new training place was set up with the latest things in it. Everything was new, and some things werent out on the market yet.
I made my way to the conference room and sat at the head of the table. They should now be here any moment. I would spare them a few though due to the shock of the place. There was much to be discussed at this point in time.

It was amazingly, she really had her human for back. What the hell else was this place capable of doing? The pills were unpleasant and all, but she was sure it was more than worth it. Running her slender fingers through her long, silky blonde waves of hair she stared, obviously bored, at the fair strands as they separated from one another, fanning across her spread fingers. Her icy blue gaze seemed to be transfixed on the strands, though the zoned-out concentration was broken as the receptionist's voice crackled over the radio transceiver that she'd laid on the picnic table she was lounging at. Well, at least there was something more time consuming for her to do now.
The human-cloaked feline, in but her mid teens, mechanically rose to her feet, wispy body floated towards the main building of the compound, following the directions given out over the transceiver. Nodding her head to the human receptionist, she passed beyond her, sliding into the almost empty conference room. She was the first other than Layla to arrive, and she nodded her head slowly, rather awkwardly, as she slid into one of the seats. She didn't say anything, figuring she'd let Leyla, (the new head, how amazing was that?) address her if she wanted too.

"Goddamn pollution." He could swear that the humans lived just to piss him off to no end -- and now what was with this pollution business? He wasn't sure how it all worked but somehow it played a role in his inability to return to his human form. He didn't mind his four paws, but the fact that he was now limited to the wilderness pissed the crap out of him. Although he was technically a member of Hellion Faction, it had been ages since he'd seen any kind of activity there. Hell, he hadn't seen or heard a single thing. A pity it was, because he honestly wanted to see where that 'pack' would go. Because of that, he'd spent most of his time in the city, and with that not being an option anymore, he didn't know where the heck to go.
He knew the little 'features' of being a Wolfiend, and he couldn't doubt the fact that much of it intrigued him. He'd be able to go back to his human form as well. Besides, he'd get a little more stuff done here than he could at the faction... at least he hoped it wasn't as empty here as it was there. He wasn't worried about being on the faction's hit list for becoming a traitor either, since, well.. everyone he knew was nowhere to be seen and it was likely he wasn't considered a member by whoever was the leader now.
And so, here he was at the Wolfiends HQ. He cursed again under his breath as he carefully entered the HQ -- the last thing he wanted to happen was for the Wolfiends to mistake him as a possible captive... but what wolf in their right mind would walk into the headquarters unless they intended to join? It was quiet, however not deserted seeing as he spotted a young woman nearby the front desk. "Will all Wolfiends please come to the lobby. I repeat, all Wolfiends to the lobby," he heard over the intercom. Soon after, he spotted another young woman come through the door and sit down. He hesitated briefly, wondering how in the world he'd be able to approach them without it being so... awkward. After a moment or so, he began to pad over to the 'meeting', then spoke. "Before you try and shoot me, I'd like to know where I could possibly join you guys. You know, the Wolfiends?"

Heels 'clacked' softly against the newly tiled floors as the femme made her way into the office. Ebony locks were pulled back from her face, tied into a simple yet elegant ponytail. She nodded a greeting to the receptionist behind the desk, a grin of familiarity stretching the corners of her lips. So many times had she visited this office, and so many times had all her visits been for the same reason: to meet the new head of the Wolfiends. Ever since joining under Kalel, Aslen had watched one leader after the other disappear unexpectedly or just plain give up and leave. Each time it was without warning, and each time the Wolfiends fell a little further toward total extinction. Now she was on her way to meet yet another leader. One could only wonder whether or not this one would follow in the others footsteps.
She entered the conference room swiftly, glancing at the brute standing near the doorway as she passed him. Although it was quite unusual to see a wolf inside of the Wolfiends conference room, Aslen didn’t react the way she usually would have. Since the "mass capture" that had happened only days ago, she guessed that many of the captives would choose joining the organization rather than spending their days cooped up in a kennel, even if the living conditions had improved.
As Aslen found a seat close to the head of the table, her gaze fell on the two others in the room. She eyed the young blond femme sitting directly across from her, assuming that she must be one of the new recruits joining today. Her gaze then settled on the other femme standing at the very head of the table. For obvious reasons, Aslen assumed she was the one who had called them all here in the first place. With a small sigh, she sat back in her chair, arms and legs crossed. She decided to remain silent for now, saving the usual introduction for when the meeting finally began.

So; maybe there was some elements of the Pattern in the small area of Wolf's Tear after all. Not that he'd been looking for it specifically, this was an "extended vacation" of sorts, but several events had connected and exposed it to him... first the sudden increase in smog, then, one day... the whole place was overrun with wolves. People changed into wolves right in front of people's eyes. Some ran; others were caught by these specialists called "the Wolfiends". All this he'd learned from various people; everyone was talking about it, or panicking about it.
He'd reported it to the Bureau like expected, but it didn't seem like it was happening anywhere else... or if the Bureau even understood the message. They were under a lot of stress over there. He was told to 'handle it'... but how? There wasn't anything he could do, this was wide-spread. That was when he became more interested in the Wolfiends. From what people told him, they knew nearly everything about these strange 'wolves'; if he wanted to get to the bottom of it, stick with them. People could even point him straight to the HQ; and here he was.
"Will all Wolfiends please come to the lobby. I repeat, all Wolfiends to the lobby," A young woman at the front desk was repeating into the intercom when he pushed through the doors. Peter glanced around for a moment (the place looked newly remodeled) before moving off down the hallway where the young woman pointed. Inside this small conference room were 3 women and a wolf, standing by the doors near him. He stared for a moment before locating the woman at the head of the table; obviously the leader. "I'm in the right place, I hope. I heard the Wolfiends needed new members; I'm interested."

I had my back to the door as one person walked in. The person had sat in the chair without a word. A smile crossed my face, it must be Asher. I turned with my smile still on my face. "Ah Asher I have big plans for you my dear. I am expecting alot from you. For now you will have no rank till your training is complete. I will let you put in a word of what you will like to be but I believe I have a spot already picked out for you. I hope you are enjoying your time here." Asher was young and beautiful and smart. She would fit in anywhere but I wanted her to be the overseer and the enforcer. I felt as if I could trust her and I would be here to guide her through everything. My smile faded as a wolf came through my doors and now stood in the door way of the conference room. __________________________________ Ah I had seen him before I sifted through my stack of charts. Kaden was his name and he was part of the Hellions, a spy of the hellions. My eyes narrowed and I placed both hands atop the table and leaned forward. "You want to be a wolfiend do you? Tell me why." My eyes narrowed at him more, I didnt trust him and my patients were high other wise I would of already ripped his throat out. I would possibly place him as a hunter, not a spy. I would keep a very very close eye on him. __________________________________ A woman caught my eye as she walked in behind the male. That was Aslen, she was one that I was very interested in. She had been here within these walls for quite some time now. I however didnt say anything to her quite yet. I only nodded to her. My focus went back to the wolf standing in my door way. I was waiting for a answer from him. If hes betraying the Hellions why wouldnt he do that to us? I would be sure to kill him if he did such a thing. __________________________________ A human man caught my eye now. He too was determined to join the wolfiends too. Hmm well him I would give some slack to becuase he was part of the humans. He could possibly fit in as a doctor/caregiver or possibly a hunter. He couldnt be a spy due to him being human. It just wouldnt work in my mind. I studied him a few more minunets. "Fine, have a seat and we will talk more." My focus went back to Kaden. "Well what can you give me? Why do you want to be here?" I wasnt going to be easy on him, I didnt need this place getting worse than it was. If Kaden joined he would not be allowed into the pens. It would take time for him to gain trust.

Kaden watched as two more entered the HQ: one a woman who sat down silently as did the first, the other was a man whom inquired to join as well. Not too long after their entrance, the woman at the front, whom he assumed to be the leader, spoke. When she got to him, he watched as she went through her charts -- so, she did know about him. He sighed unnoticeably, realizing that joining may not be as easy as he may have thought while walking in here. He'd heard that Wolfiends were looking to inquire new members and had assumed that they'd be accepting just anyone they seem fit and well, besides being a spy of the faction, he saw no reason as to why they wouldn't easily accept him. Obviously, he was wrong to assume this.
He shifted his weight slightly between his paws, lowering his head and overall stance slightly in respect to whom he hoped could become his new leader. So far, his impression of the place was not bad, seeing as since there were currently 4 here, that was 3 more active members than the faction had, and he could hear the barking of captives and trained wolves in the direction of the kennels. The entire building was much more advanced than he had thought it to be, and that was a definite bonus as to why he wanted to be here.
"I see that you know where I'm from," he started, before shooting a glance at the other three. "I joined the faction more than a year ago, back when Casanova was still around -- I assume you know who he is?" he said, figuring there was no reason to hide the fact that he was a Hellion previously. "Since then, I haven't been active in the pack, simply because.. well, they haven't either. I've heard around that there have been two new leaders since I joined and not once have I seen or met them, nor have I met any other Hellion either. He spoke calmly and different than the cocky way he normally would in order to guarantee himself a spot as a Wolfiend. "There are others though, just not many. They don't consider themselves a pack, therefore they do not seem organized in their plans."
"It's not hard to tell which is better between that deserted place and here," he said as he looked around once again. Yeah, this place was definitely much better than the dirty, ash-ridden terra the Hellions called 'home'. He knew, too, that the Wolfiends had their fair share of leaders as well, but from the impression this one gave him, he could tell she was determined to get somewhere. "Although I was a spy, you can reverse that if I could join. I've been there long enough to know their territory inside and out, and none of the current members -- if there are any, that is -- know who I am so you do not have to worry about me. And me reporting to the leader? Yeah right, like I'd give my trust to any of them now."
He inhaled lightly; he hoped he didn't say too much, nor did he say the wrong thing so as to make her take it the wrong way. He knew that if he were to be accepted now, he wouldn't be put in any important vision and she'd most likely have others keep a good eye on him for a while and he was willing to accept that. "I'm not asking for your trust. I'm only giving you what I have to offer."
ooc: whoa longer than I thought, sorry.

The petite blonde turned sharply as the wolf stalked into the meeting room. Her light gaze had shot quickly back and forth, as she looked from the leader, Leyla to the wolf then back to Leyla once more. She'd felt fear washing over her like a cold mist, as a dropping sensation seized her stomach. She hadn't really come this close to a wolf before, but she remembered enough from what her parents had spoken of that these creatures meant nothing good. She had the urge to run, and to launch herself at him colliding with one another which ended up rooting her to her seat, jumbling her mind to where she all but ignored the wolf-wolfiend as well as the human who joined them within moments of each other.
She took in a sharp breath as she watched Leyla, turning to shoot a suspicious glare at the wolf as the leader addressed him. As she continued on to address the others, Asher's gazed solely upon him, that wild fear that had sprouted in her at the sight of him ever present as she had a bit of a death grip upon the table top. She heard him speak now.. watching him with a blank expression, before turning back at Leyla, feeling like she were a tennis ball, her attention bouncing back and forth between the two. A hellion? What was that.. none of this made sense, god she had a lot to learn.

Aslen acknowledged Layla's nod with one of her own, remaining silent as she did so. There wasn't much to be said at the moment, seeing as nobody else had bothered to do so themselves. All except Layla, of course. Even Asher, whom Aslen had learned was the petite blond sitting directly across from her, hadn't said anything even though she seemed a bit unsettled by the fact that the wolf had stepped foot in the conference room. Aslen didn't pay much mind to the fact, though, her attention (along with everyone else's it seemed) now focused on the wolf standing near the doorway. She listened as he spoke, analyzing his every word carefully. From what Aslen heard, Kaden had been a lead spy of the Hellion Faction. That wasn't exactly a plus for him. The Wolfiends had already been suspicious of the hellions, trying to figure out what they were really up against, but from what Kaden had described, they didn't sound like much. They had two leaders and practically no (active) members that he knew of. What danger could they possibly be? The reasons he gave seemed to make some sense, after all. He was captured and now, seeing no other option, he wanted to join the organization instead of being locked up in a kennel for the remainder of his time here. If she were in his position, Aslen would have done the same.
She shot a glance in the direction of her new leader, her gaze sharp and her expression serious. "Excuse the interruption, Layla, but I'd like to say something." She turned her intense gaze on the brute standing near the doorway, her arms remaining crossed as she leaned against the back of her chair. "If what you say about the Hellions is true, then they couldn't be much of a threat to us anyways - even if you did decide to go back to them. I doubt you would do that though, seeing as you seem to know what would happen to you if you did." She allowed herself a small smirk before continuing on. "In spite of that, you really have no other choice but to join us, or spend the rest of your time in that kennel of yours. Which I doubt would be very pleasant, even with the renovations." She cleared her throat some as she continued. "I'm actually willing to give you a chance, just to test the fact of whether or not you're serious about all of this." She turned her gaze back to Layla, smiling a bit. "But it's really not my opinion that matters. I just thought I'd put my two cents in. The organization is looking for new members, after all."

ooc: lol, you could have almost skipped Peter since he's got nothing to do with that. xD
Peter took a look at the conference room as he waited to be addressed by the younger female at the head of the table, how everything looked so new that it must have just recently been redone. No doubt - from what he'd heard the place had been empty for quite a bit before this current leader had stepped up.
Finally the leader - Layla, her name must have been, from what the other female said - spoke and dark blue eyes turned back to her from their wandering. With a curt nod Peter walked to a chair and ceremoniously sat down, leaning back and folding his hands to rest on his chest as he listened to the debate of the wolf around him. Hoo, boy, he did have to learn a bit about the politics around here, but that shouldn't be too hard - he could speak 6 languages, faked his way into being a professor at MIT, and had an IQ of 190 even being a high school drop-out, not to mention had been recruited into the FBI to help with a science that normal people couldn't comprehend... that should be a piece of cake.
Too bad his own file was sealed against everyone without high clearance...

I was quiet while the hellion and aslen spoke. I had much respect for aslen. She had been here for a long time now and well I had a particular question for her. But right this very moment my focus was on the hellion. I thought quietly to my self. He could be a bonus and we did need members. However I had zero trust for him. "You will be put on a probation period. We will see how long you can last with us. You are not allowed in the kennels, or around the captives. However you may bring captives in. Understood?" My words were final and I would not allow him any more freedom yet.
I relaxed my position as I turned to Aslen. "I understand that you have been here for quite some time yes?" I said to her as I took my eyes off Asher. I still was in need to be working with her. I was not going to have her harm the wolves. In my opinion she couldnt hurt anything and that concerned me some. I hopped that she wouldnt end up and the wolves. "I have an offer for you Aslen. I would like you to be second in command. I feel that it is right for you to be, and you may also continue the training and what not if you like." I was confident that Aslen could help out and give me the answers I wanted. She suits the second position very well.
I had noticed that the new human male had not said anything yet. It was a good thing for now. I would talk to him later.

Idling around she had nothing to add, obviously. She felt so horribly uninformed, knowing nothing about the kennels as she had not been in them yet. Her wary gaze flitted ever so occasionally towards the wolf, but she said nothing. Her input was virtually useless, she didn't even have her own rank - though she supposed she was better off in Layla's graces than most. Sighing ever so lightly to where it wasn't even audible, her icy gaze wandering down her lap, and cementing there as Layla spoke to the others. She couldn't help but feel out of place.

Kaden shifted in his place a bit as all eyes were on him. This better work out.. he thought, his mind tracing back to the short meeting with Hadrian. Although he had yet to have any plans set in place, his only objective as of right now was to join, get accepted, and find himself some of those pills. His gaze moved to the other woman, the brunette, when she spoke. Thank God someone here had some sense in 'em and understood where he was coming from. He knew that if he were to get rejected, he'd be placed as captive and that was definitely not what he was aiming for. However, things seemed to be going smoothly so far and his plans were eventually confirmed as Layla finally "accepted" him, although on probation as he expected -- he was completely fine with that.
"Understood, ma'am," he asserted, nodding once. Once his turn was over, he fell silent and listened to Layla's further instructions for the others.

She liked Layla. Of all the past leaders, she seemed to have the most sense. It was about time somebody recognized the length of time she'd been here and actually put it to good use. Second in Command would be a fitting position for someone like her. Aslen gave a small nod of approval to Layla's statement, a small grin playing it's way predominantly across her lips. "I'd be happy to accept the offer."
She would still continue training, of course. The Wolfiends were still in need of a trainer and unless somebody else was up for the task, she would continue as long as it was needed. With all of the new members coming in, she assumed that her time as trainer wouldn't be ending anytime soon.

Peter watched everything unfold silently, trying to pick up on the aforementioned politics. It was kind of late to be tuning in, because he didn't pick up much except that the girl sitting closest to him was named Aslen, she'd been in the Wolfiends for awhile, she was cute (if he may say so himself) and she was now Second in Command. It was hard for him to keep a smile off his face... two ladies in command now? Boy was this going to be a place run by females, he could just feel it. From what he'd heard before coming here, this Layla girl, hadn't been the first female leader... but it was uncommon. Now there were two females in the head spots.
Once the wolf near the door - Kaden, whoever that was supposed to be - and Aslen had nodded the affirmative to her questions and offers, Peter glanced at the younger woman sitting across from him. Layla hadn't spoken to her yet... so it was down to the two of them. Dark blue eyes analyzed the hard stare she was giving the wolf and her rigid body, and came to this conclusion: she was one of two things - either human like himself, or like these other people in the room, "shifters", or whatever they called themselves, only she wasn't a wolf like the guy. He could tell just from how everyone reacted that no one knew the guy, except Layla, and she had his file, so the young woman - more like a teenager really - couldn't have known him either.
With an inaudible sigh Peter looked away from her and looked back at Layla, his eyebrows raised a little as if asking when it was his turn, waiting for her to speak to him. This was like some sort of show and tell for school like when he was a kid.
