Welcome - to Wolf

November 22nd - The coldest, most bitter part of the winter has come, the new year having recently past. Blizzards seem to be blowing harshly more often than not, and some areas of the pack lands are becoming impassable to wolves, with snow banks reaching tremendous heights. All lakes as well as slow-flowing rivers have frozen over sturdily enough to be tread upon, but caution is still urged.

Current Meetings ; be sure to remember to post!
Hellion Faction - Lookout Mountain - Wolfiend Captives - Timber Woods - &Wolfiends

Also all new characters/members that are wolves/shifters must begin to join a pack within 2 weeks of their register date or they WILL be captured by the Wolfiends.

Noble sniffed lowly along the grasses, smelling old scents of wolves long gone from the area. He was new here, a long traveler in a long running journey to find a home. He was a broad wolf, but young, standing at eighteen inches and being poofy with his witer coat, he almmost looked fat, though he was solid muscle. He looked across the river in what he thought would be a pack's territory, though he knew he'd have to find a calmer spot to cross over.

Amora traveled the borders of her new terra... thouh why she did she had no idea. The timber coated fae had been a scout before everyone... poofed and she became Alphess, so she already knew the land front to back, back to front, side to side, up a tree, down a tree... you get the idea. But she still walked, hoping to stumble across an unexpected loner...

Guess what? She did. A male was standing across the White Water River, looking around probably for a way to cross. The small agile Alphess jumped on a large rock and grinned, watching the other silently before hollering very loudly, "HEY YOU OVER THERE! WHATCHA DOING?"

At hearing a voice, Noble instantly lowered himself below the wolf that he heard, looking over at her, his ears were laid back, his tail tucked to show that he was of a much lower rank. "Just walking . . . trying to cross." he states to her, looking away from her eyes.

Amora tilted her head. Well... she didn't meant to scare the guy. The small timber fae leapt down from the rock and looked around for a shallow place to cross. Since she knew the river better than the male did it didn't tkae her very long to cross and shake her fur out in front of the male. "Don't wory 'bout it. River's tough in the spring." She grinned, remembering back. This was her first full year in Wolf's Tear. Maybe she'd stay this time. "So whatcha doing in Lookout Mountain?"

"Il of my life." he states, sitting down infront of the small female, looking at her. He wasn't dissapointed by this meeting at all. He smiled just barely at her and then decided to laydown. "I've never really had a home or pack of my own." he states as honest as could be.

Amora nodded thoughtfully. "I didn't have a home either up 'til I came to Wolf's Tear the first time... didn't stick around long. Then I came back... and a lot of stuff happened. Now I'm Alphess of Lookout Mountain, and we are talking." She grinned and looked at the male. "I'm Amora, by the way. Newly christened Alphess of Lookout Mountain... as of maybe yesterday."

He smiles at her and bows his head in respect. "I'm Noble, the loner of over ten thosand miles of traveling, living from one place to another." he states calmly like it was nothing. He then layed down, looking up at her as means of conversation, still avoiding her eyes.

Amora bobbed her head thoughtfully. "Wow... that's a lot." She said with admiration. Then again, she had no idea how much she'd traveled before... it was probably about that much. Amaroq had taken her everywhere before he died. She caught his expression and instantly spoke up. "So... of all the places ya could've stayed, why Wolf's Tear?"

He shrugs, I was just going to pass through but it seems to be a peaceful place." he states kindly, laying down, seeming to relax a bit as he took in the new spring scents, sounds and smells that were all around him.

Amora grinned broadly in a kind manner and sat down, curling her tail around her haunches. If she laid down she would undoubtedly be shorter than the male even if the two of them were on their stomachs. The disadvantages of being short...sigh... the timber fae shook her head but looked at Noble when he spoke. "I had to leave and come back to finally figure out this place was peaceful..." She mused, her head cocked to the side in thought. Brown eyes glanced at the male with a half smile. "Wolf's Tear wasn't always so happy...I'm amazed it's been this boring actually..."

He smiled then, looking up at her, letting his tail wag slightly in pleasure. "I guess I make it interesting then huh?" he asks kindly. He liked the company of this young female, he could tell she was alone and an alpha at that . . . he'd love to help her out, but how to ask?

"Mmm... better than being alone." Amora said without thinking, then winced. That made her sound stupid. "I mean, not like if I wasn't alone I wouldn't enjoy talking to you... you know what I mean." She chuckled lightly and sheepishly and looked at the ground. Wow. She was such a klutz when it came to words today. She hadn't talked to anyone in a long time though, maybe that was why... "Hey you wanna join the pack? Forgetting all the formalities of course." Amora said randomly, grinning and hoping he'd said yes.

His tail whisked quickly back and forth, now looking straight at her, though he then forgot that was an alpha's pose, he looked down. "Sure, I'll join, and eagerly at that." he states lightly, looking up at her slowly, his ears slightly back.

Amora's grin broadened and she wagged her tail harder when he said yes. "All righty then! Forgive the usual procedure, not quite sure how it goes... what're any sort of strengths, weaknesses, fears, likes, whatever ya want to get off your chest tell me, I'm like a priest or something." She giggled a little before plowing on, not conscious she was talking a mile a minute. "And, um, I guess what pack rank you have in mind. I know all the pack ranks by heart, really, but since I've never had to decide myself I think it'd be easier if you gave me a general estimate of what you want."

"Well, I think of myself as generous and bold minded, I think I would be a good leader, I've seen the lands all around this place and even the no wolf's land in the likness of a cage as a child." he states softly. "Let me know what you decide."

Amora's usually hyper and fast train of thought threw on the brakes and grounded to a screeching halt. Uh... what was the going to pick? That seemed good enough for Beta, but she didn't know if Laika would want to keep that position until she got older. Ugh... this was hurting her brain. "Um... uh, er... Theta!" She shouted, jumping to her feet. After pausing to consider, she shook her head fiercely, mulbing to herself. "No, no... uh... S-Selsa? Naw... One higher. What was that called? Sig... man? Sig-moose? Sig... Sig... ma? Sigma... Sigma! Yeah... Sigma sounds good. Third highest rung on the ladder, dunno if we ever had a Sigma before..." The petite fae looked up, brown eyes glimmering happily as she spoke to Noble directly. "Sigma sounds great, awesome, fantastic. What do you think? Well it doesn't matter what you think... so Sigma it is. Okay."

"That's fine Amora, I'll gladly be in your pack as a sigma." he states proudly, laying beside her. He found himself getting very attatched her already, and she smelled so good with spring being in the air, it was so tempting.

Amora laughed happily and dancing around the male. "Ya know, you're like the first person to be accepted into the pack since Surrie left... which was a long time ago. We're down to only a few members now... mainly me, Rayah, Laika, and you. I hope some other ones jump into the mist as well later on, we gotta get back on our feet here." She shook her head and realized she'd stopped walking, one paw in the air, staring at the sky while she talked. So she then promptly shook herself and sat down beside Noble. "So, tell me 'bout yourself." The timber fae glanced at the male with a flashing grin.

Noble smiles softly, his tail wagging happily. "well, what do you want to know?" he asks lightly, his fur ruffling in the slight breeze.

ooc: sry for the wait.

Amora shrugged, her fur blowing a little in the breeze in the air. "Um... I dunno? Anything, I guess. Like... ooh! Brothers and sisters!" She grinned triumphantly. "I only had an older brother... Amaroq. He died a little while back. Had amnesia, see, I had to chase him down to... a certain place... in Wolf's Tear, and after I convinced him of who I was he dragged me all over the world... again. Then he got sick and died." She made a brief face for a moment. "So, you? I know it's like, your turn and all, but I ramble sometimes. Sorry."

"It's alright." he says with a small smile. "I don't have any siblings that are alive that I know of, they all went through the black market like me." he states solomnly. He didn't know much about his past except for when he was in a four by eight pen.

Amora's jaw dropped open. "You went through the black market?!" She said quietly, like it was some sort of giant dark secret, though by the ease (if not sad way) he said it made it not so in a strange sense. She sat down with a thump next to him, peering with brown eyes wide. "Holy crap. That's something I haven't really heard before." She shook her head slightly and furrowed her brow in thought. "Seen it before, in Angola, an African country, but never saw no wolves there. So you don't have any parents either?"

Noble nodded, looking at Amora. "I used to, I don't know if they're alive or not, they may still be in the market or dead or in a human's household for all I know." he states lightly.

Amora nodded slowly, trying to imagine wolves on the black market. Wolves... who would've guessed? Most people tried to kill off wolves, not keep 'em as pets. "My parents died when I was little. I don't remember much about them... all I know is that they died from pneumonia and water was involved some way somewhere." She chuckled lightly. "Amaroq died from pneumonia too, the one I told you about."

He nods lightly and layed down, deciding to think all of this over. "Do you think the desiese is spreading through wolves?" he asks lightly, not knowing what else to ask. His fur blew in the breeze as night began to come along in the vally of the river.

Amora cocked her head. "Disease? What disease?" After a few moments understanding dawned on her face. "Oooh... pneumonia? Naw, it's a common illness, you get it from bronchitis or just from being out in the rain too long. Anyone can get it... I guess my family was just unlucky." She shrugged and stared off in the distance for a moment. "However... what I have noticed is a lot of human and wolves have left Wolf's Tear lately. Dunno why..."

"Well, maybe we can keep a lookout, see if any wolves are ill." he states, deciding to stand up and shake his fur, dew slinging in all directions as he looked up to the night sky that was covered in grey clouds, being lit by the moon. "Your decision, your alpha."

Amora tilted her head, turning her gaze back to the other wolf. Though she had a pretty good idea that there weren't any wolves in danger of being attacked by a rogue pneumonia virus -- considering that wasn't possible -- but... "Sure. You can help out by just making sure the wolves are staying pretty healthy, seeing as we don't have any subordinates or anything and my version of medicine is pretty unsafe and untested." The small timber fae giggled to herself, standing up herself. "We can't afford to have any wolves get sick with so few members... plus it'll give ya something to do so ya don't get bored." She grinned merrily. "It can get prety dull... nothin' to do..."

Noble smirked, something did come to his immediate mind in an instant, but how do you ask an alpha? "Well . . . it's spring you know . . ." he starts, sitting down, looking at her with a slow smile upon his face. He was putting his head in the sand on this one but he felt attracted to her, even if he had just met her earlier today. He didn't want to get himself into trouble but he thought it was well worth a shot.

Amora's mind was beginning to drift away... and even though she'd just stood up, she plopped back onto the ground and rolled onto her back. Her limbs hung limply in the air as she stared at the sky. Her gaze slowly found its way to Noble, who now looked... really tall. "Yes... yes it is spring." She said cheerily, not understanding his meaning at all. "I like spring. It's very.. spring-y." The fae giggled.
