Title: No Walls

Is it possible, if you have full bonuses from buildings and from troop numbers, to keep your walls fully damaged and retain 25/day recruiting?
Or would it be true that having your walls fully damaged would _always_ mean you'd drop from 25/day to something lower?

As far as I know, it does. Even when I've had tons of buildings, above the max limit that would give you building recruits, and have been all troops, when my wall was dropped, recruiting was affected just the same as when I've been just at my recruitment levels.

i think it is still safe as long as your recruitment stays at 25 for more then 12 hours in a day. i had been in fortress ++ and max at building upgrade and i accidentally forget to get back my mercs before i go to sleep and next thing i know my recruitment is 24 =_= ~~ so i think the same thing will apply to building so -5 for them !

Most interesting, thank you both.
So if I find someone whose walls are constantly down, it means either:
- they're offline all the time
- they keep repairing it but then it keeps getting knocked down before I notice
- they can't afford to repair it
Only the third option means they're bound to be losing regs by having lowered recruitment, which means if I can rule out the top two as possibilities, then I can assume that they're in financial difficulty and it's costing them dearly.

Well, they could actually be online and not touch anything other than chat and messages. Then you're also good. But if they buy mercs, for example, and leave the wall down, then yes, they're sacrificing recruitment

I believe after 20k damage to a citadel you will begin to lose a recruit. Percentage of the day makes no difference. If you have 25 and 12/24ths recruiting then you can have 24 for 12 hours and still get 25/day. I had some fractional recruits and was using them to not have to repair my walls fully all the time. I just had to get to 24 and as long as i had more fractional recruits than there were hours before my day change i was earning 25/day.
Otherwise, you can have minimal damage to a wall and not lose recruiting, but after a certain point you lose recruiting no matter how many building recruits you may have beyond the maximum!

I believe that as long as they are up for long enough you will keep 25/day. I have times when I've been online a couple hours before my day end and I couldn't afford to repair my walls and I still got 25/day.

TR, Korlaf and Karkento, I think what you're all saying is that if the walls only go down for a few hours, then I'll still get 25/day?
And I assume this is because you mean if my recruiting is 25 and 22/24ths, and I only lose my walls for a couple of hours, it might still be 25 and 14/24ths, perhaps, so I still get 25/day?
That's fine, because it I keep having no walls, eventually it'll drop to 25 and 0/24ths, and then to 24 and 23/24ths, and at that point, I'll lose a regular.
If of course my recruiting was 25 and 0/24th in the first place, then even one hour of no walls would drop me to 24 and 23/24ths or worse though.
Is that what you mean? Or do you actually mean that a couple of hours of no walls could mean I start at 25 and 22/24ths and still end up at 25 and 22/24ths even though I had broken walls for a little while?

You lose fractions if you leave it down over an hour change. Whether that's what they're saying or not :)
If you have enough fractions for the time you leave it down, you still get your 25, but if you don't, you lose recruitment. Simple as that
