"Oh, I bet. They're only simple now, but soon they'll be pretty!" Nox explained excitedly, about to go on a tangent about the subject if someone hadn't caught his eyes. Giving a high pitched gasp, Nox immediately left Anya be to get closer to Charlie, bouncing up and down, jumping almost unnaturally high, pounding on the glass with a curled up fist, occasionally jumping up high just to uncurl his hand and drag his nails down the length of the glass, the noise near intolerable, Verdi hissing some rather unkind things beneath his breath and wincing at the sound.

"CHAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRLLLIIIIIIIIEEEE! HIIIIIIIII, DOCTOR CHARLIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIE!~" Nox called to Charlie, waving to him and cackling and grinning like a madman, earning a roll of the eyes from Verdi.

"You know what would be helpful? If you put that nutcase out of his misery already." Verdi barked to Charlie, Nox bursting into rounds of uncontrollable laughter every now and then as he gathered up his markers he spilled in his excitement, capping them all and continuously looking up to Charlie to see if he was paying attention to him yet.
"And for the rest of our sakes." Verdi added with a growl, scoffing and looking back to Charlie, Nox obviously greatly contributing to his quickly thinning patience.

"I'd rather be naked you sick son of a bitch." Anya spat quickly at the new Doctor, who's name was, apparently, Charlie. "Just get what you want and get the hell out of here!"


She jerked with surprise as Nox began scraping his fingernails down the glass and scrambled away from it before he got through and decided she was in his way. She ran up and half hid behind Verdi, seeing as she was a hundred percent positive Alice wouldn't protect her.



Alice took another threatening step forward, "You heard the playboy bunny over there. Spit it out and leave." She snarled.

The scientist's fur bristled up a bit as he heard his name being wailed...and some glass being raked...but offered as friendly a smile as he could at the...enthusiastic subject next door. He was pretty sure he'd heard about this one before--apparently crazy. Couldn't quite remember his name, though. "Oh...hello there!" He responded, giving a small wave at Nox.

As Verdi's suggestion reached him, 'Charlie'--apparently--frowned and looked back the crazy one...before coming up with his own sort of comeback. "...Hm. 'Misery'? He seems happy enough to me..."

Charlie frowned in disappointment at the response he got from Anya, frowning slightly. But answered. "Well...honestly, what I want is to just stay in here for a bit...I get awfully boring indoors all the time...~" He said, giving a somewhat dreamy gaze around at the plant life and such in this place. And as Alice became more threatening, politely back up, not wanting to cause any trouble. "Now...! None of that, please...besides, I ,may look funny, but I assure you I'm very smart. And I'm certain some people would be overly angry at you if I was hurt...", he said in response, trying to make his statement not come off as a threat.

"Why do you want to stay out here if you're some fancy scientist?" Snorted Anya, curling herself up tighter, getting quite defensive when he mentioned that he was going to be staying longer than just a few moments.



"Why don't you cozy on up with a few of those other blood suckers?" She snorted, wrapping her arms over herself, desperately wishing she had some clothes, but not so much that she would ask for something from one of the 'enemies'.



"Well you're going to stay here at your won risk." Alice snarled, her wings arching and her back curving, making her a very intimidating sight indeed. She stepped forward closely, snarling deep in her throat.


She gave a barking laugh when he subtly threatened her. "You think I care if they're angry or not? HAH!" She barked.

Nox burst into giggles when the scientist noted his presence, bouncing up and down, nearly shivering in excitement.
"HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII! HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII! DO YOU REMEMBER MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE?!" Nox shrieked, showing as much glee at the sight of him as Verdi and the others were showing hate.

"I'll give you five seconds to get out from behind me." Verdi hissed to Anya softly, shoulders tensing slightly as she cowered behind him, however he was more just giving her some tough medicine. If she ever hoped to really survive here, Anya would have to learn that she couldn't always run to Verdi, seeing as if anyone here decided to think him going soft, Verdi would be more than happy to clean their clocks.

"Back off, Alice. I think if he's stupid enough to realize he's a walking target in here, he'll be digging his own grave soon enough." Verdi growled, eying Charlie once more, half giving him his final warning, half daring him to make a wrong move, before grunting, running a hand through his messy, wet hair, before yawning and scratching his stomach, turning back to Anya.
"Now, babe, would probably be a good time to ask the nice man if he could look at that fractured arm of yours, seeing as I don't think we can un-scare the living God out of 'im." Verdi suggested, before slinking back into his water to watch and wait, as usual.

Charlie glanced to Anya and pondered her questions for a brief moment. "Well, I'm not allowed to go outside the actual building ever...so poking my head into experiments' quarters is a good substitute. And as for my coworkers...they don't talk with me very much." His eyes had wandered off of her, so he looked back to Anya. "That's why, I guess."

And then there was Alice again, continuing to act aggressive towards him. However, he gave only a slightly uncomfortable glance towards her. "Hm. No, I suppose you wouldn't, would you..?" Before he could listen to any kind of response from er, Nox had forced his attention away again with his shrieking and wailing and such.

"...Oh...of course. I remember you now." Charlie was a bit surprised that it'd taken this long to recall a run-in or two with Nox in the past...never really talked with him much before, though.

Then, at the mention of Anya's fractured arm, Charlie cast a concerned look at her and took a step closer. "Your arm has a fracture? Really? Oh...that's no good. I can fix that, though..!" He said, pausing for a moment to consider his words. "If you wouldn't mind...that is."

"Oh yeah, don't ask him for food or a way to get out of here, no. Ask him to help out Malibu Barbie. God damn pain in the ass. Waste of time and air." She continued her furious mumbling and grumbling, fluttering her wings with an angry sort of titter, flapping them wide and taking off, into the sky. She llanded on a perch of branch just above Verdi's head. "Think he'd be worth bargaining for if we tied him up and used him for ransom?" She suggested half heartedly.



Anya, however was not interested in her arm in the slightest. Afterall, Verdi's makeshift splint had been doing marvelously. Her arm barely hurt. No, what she was really interested in a was-"Where. Is. My. Son?" She asked, each word punctuated with more venom than the last and with both her protectors gone, sjbe stepped up to him, viciously, ready to do snything it took to get the whereabouts of her son. "I swear I will slaughter you all if you so much hurt a hair on his head. Now call up one of those disgusting excuses for humans and Get me my son!" She yelled.

"Alice." Verdi glared at her threateningly, giving her quite a clear message she was fraying his nerves, and he wouldn't have of it again.
"I can always eat you if I ever get that hungry, so you should relax." Verdi warned, looking back to Charlie with an obvious amount of disdain towards his cheery attitude, however, it was admittedly better than some of the other moods the white coated ladies and gents brought from time to time.
"No, too replaceable." Verdi finally determined after sizing up the experimented scientist, snorting and scratching the back of his neck, watching as Anya almost quite literally stormed over.


"Now now, Anya, intimidation is only good when you know when to use it." Verdi said condescendingly, grabbing Anya with a soft grunt and carefully starting to drag her back.
"You only use it when you know it's an option he's going to be hurt. Right now, the jury's out on your kid." Verdi explained calmly, more just because it was hard enough dealing with Alice being borderline maliciously insane, dealing with two was something he didn't want to deal with.
"Also, if you don't get that bone seen by an actual doctor, sooner or later you might have to lose it." Verdi added, a casual threat that she may be losing more than her kid if she didn't just cooperate this one time. Looking back to Charlie, he rolled his eyes, making a gesture to Anya and a facial expression that clearly asked for a moment of sympathy for the man currently dealing with two spiteful females.

Meanwhile, Nox was in hysterical delight. Charlie RECOGNIZED him! Oh, happy day! Giggling in his usual, high-pitched tone, he scampered closer to the small group, gluing himself to the wall, laughing merrily as he observed them.

Charlie mostly seemed to ignore Alice's plots against him as she spoke...not really thinking it'd ever possibly come to what she had in mind. He merely remained smiling, only stopping when Anya had begun to ask none to nicely about the whereabouts of her son. He blinked a few times in slight surprise, then went into pondering for a moment. "Hmmmm...your son, eh? Sorry, but I'm afraid I dunno who you're talking about...could you be a bit more specific? I'm pretty sure you're not the only person with a kid in this place..." He explained pleasantly.

He then glances to Verdi, becoming remind of Anya's arm. "He's right, y'know...of course, if you'd rather end up losing it, I could always try to culture up a new one for you...I've always wanted to see if that would work firsthand..!" He commented, a very familiar look of curiosity and enthusiasm showing surprisingly well on his inhuman face. Though he might've been a very kind person, he was still very much a scientist of this place.

And of course, Nox was as hard as ever to ignore...and Charlie smiled warmly in his direction. "Well, you seem happy...having a good day?" He asked, smiling even wider at the fact that merely talking to Nox seemed to bring the unstable experiment joy. The thing certainly deserved it...

Alice sighed and landed beside Verdi, plopping down unceremoniously beside him, but going silent. Still, she didn't understand why in hell they had to help her. All she did was whine and complain, bitch and moan. She laid back and tried to enjoy a bit of the sun that Verdi wasn't hogging, wiggling her toes and stretching completely out.




Seeming to take Verdi's word as law, Anya glance at him for a long moment. Finally, begrudgingly, resentfully, she walked forward and presented her slightly set arm and stretched it out with a wince, towards Charlie. Her face turned away from him, breathing heavily in anger. "Just be quick about it, please." She half spat at him, though she was glad that she was getting it properly treated. It hurt like a bitch.

"We'll benefit when they realize she's doing too well in here." Verdi whispered to Alice softly, offering a sly grin and a soft snicker. However, there was... some truth to it. Sure, Verdi would end up benefiting one way or the other (this he would make sure of) however whether it was when that moment occurred, if at all, or merely just keeping her there, there was benefits to everything. ... Oh, and keeping Alice's trap shut helped, too.

"YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES! I'VE BEEN PLAYING WITH MAH MARKEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRSSSSSSSS!" Nox screeched, poking his doodles all over the walls, childish, but if one actually studied them, revealing what might as well be macabre scenes. Puffing out his chest like a little kid showing off his good grades to his parents, he grinned broadly at Charlie, near plastered to the wall, and if he wasn't, well, he probably would have been in Charlie's intimate space, if not clinging to him, if the scientist would permit it.

"Atta girl." Verdi encouraged, but not without a bit of a mocking tone to it, just how she seemed to worship every word he dared to speak. No, this probably wasn't too good for his ego, which was threatening to get an overdose of arrogance of one discovering the delights of a power trip.
"So, when do ya think it'll be fully healed, uh, whatever your name was, again...?" the crocodile hybrid asked Charlie, looking him over with a bit of disdain, if not wariness, but the edge had certainly managed to leave his voice, for the most part, at least. Well, better than sounding like he was going to tear Charlie to shreds if he didn't give him the answer he wanted to hear.

After smile and chuckling at Nox for a moment, Charlie straightened his glasses a bit and looked down at the arm that was presented to him. He eyed the limb for a moment before feeling up and down it, as if to check for what kind of breaks it might have. He apparently trusted Anya enough to not be afraid of getting punched in the snout for any twinges of pain he might be causing. He stopped and pondered a bit before looking to Verdi.

"Hrm...well, it's hard to say without an actual x-ray or anything...should take about what a broken arm should, I'm guessing...I could get something to speed it up if you want, though..!" He chimed halpfully.

"Oh, and it's Charlie." He said, tipping his snout slightly.

"Maybe he'll break it again, now wouldn't that be funny." Alice mumbled, half asleep, hoping that Verdi wouldn't hear her and give her another telling off. She curled her wings onto her back and closed her eyes, attempting to enjoy the sun light that Verdi had not yet stolen.


Anya winced and hissed with pain, "P-Please..." She said in a constricted sort of voice. "Please. Have you seen a little boy? He looks a lot like me, dark hair, about 6 years old. Have you seen anyone like that? is he okay?" She looked at him, her face still set with anger but her eyes desperate for information.
