Hello mate, tis Rich.

Thanks very much to you and your mate for your help last night. Sorry if I wasn't very coherant at the time, I'm still buzzing now!

Was good to see her finally go back. I certainly didn't want to take her. She's survived the nets and the trawlers for more than a few years now so I didn't want to be the one to finish her off.

I'll put the pictures up when I've sorted myself out.

Thanks again.

Rich.

WOW what a lovely fish and an equally lovely gesture to return her.

And yet another BIG bass from Lilstock - but on rod and line this time...! wink.gif
I wonder what it is about Lilstock that draws in these beauties??

CCK - I bet you're wondering when it's going to be you describing your own dream catch of a lifetime rather than someone else's. Hang in there matey - I have a feeling that it will happen soon. Certainly no one deserves it more than you do with all the hours/mileage you put in.

Cheers.

Hi CCK. Now there's a fair chance you might not believe this (I'm not sure I do myself if I'm honest) but I went out again on the Sunday night down to Charmouth and pulled another one out, this time only 8lb 11oz. Gave me much more of a fight than the double though! Again on bluey. Pleased to say she went back really strongly as well. smile.gif

I guess I'm due a few weeks of blanks now! ohmy.gif

I've just started writing the report up (It's been a loooong weekend) but I'll let you guys know when it's finished!

Rich

Edit: I've finished the report. Hopefully MODS won't mind me linking to another forum, but I'm b***ered if I'm writing that lot out again. Be warned, I can't half ramble as well!

Looong report.

Great "Looong" report Rich - it had me rivited from start to finish.

If you ever decided to knock you day job job on the head, I reckon you'd probably be able to make it as an adventure writer/novelist... laugh.gif

Stay lucky.

Jenks

ps - Do you have any photos you could post of either fish? It would be great to see them. If you're not too sure how to post them, I'm know Bassman will give you a hand.

Hmmm, should have pics on the report Jenks, maybe you need to be a forum member of the other forum.

Just tried to link to them, but dynamic images aren't allowed, so I'll load 'em onto photobucket this afternoon and stick 'em up here...

If you click the "Edit" button on your post/report on the other forum you should be able to copy and then paste the whole report with pictures on this site - would be a lot quicker and give all on here a good read - well done again on your Bass and good on you for returning both.
