COD AND BASS
Went out yesterday evening to my favourite beach mark near Burnham. There was a gap in the bad weather so got down at 530 and dug lug for an hour and fished 630 til high at 930. Pulley pennell and lug only as bait. First cast 3.5lb cod then missed drop back. Shortly after another cod 3.5lb again. Half an hour later the other rod went off and 4lb bass and an hour before high had great bite and after a fantastic fight in surf a 6.5lb bass was landed. Dead on high another 2lb cod and a small whiting. Missed the football but was worth it. Shame work and impending bad weather means wont be out for a few days!

Great session, good dangling and fair play getting out in this weather. Stunning fish there!! :)

Thanks for all your kind words. I was just lucky to be in the right spot at the time when there was a good surf running and the fish were there...it doesnt happen very often i can assure you! Really find it helps to use freshly dug lug if you have opportunity to dig it and your back can take the strain! :D
