Please help.
I have caught one rockling since the beginning of January.
Any advice welcome.

Offer courses on rockling capture?
Bassman - February 5, 2012 08:39 PM (GMT)
Target a different species as Rockling ain't that exciting Ben
If you've only managed to catch one I would suggest that your bait/hooks are to big for em - try scaling down a bit ?

If its slugs you're after try between Brixham & Dartmouth. They grow huge slugs along that stretch.
A Specimen slughunter :ph43r:
Respect mate.

Sorry Ben but you left yourself wide open on that one
As Congerman says we all get bad spells of fish-less-ness - just got to keep on trying mate - don't be afraid to try different rigs and baits - and don't forget from now through till April are supposed to be the "Leaner" months for fishing with fish seemingly going of the feed for days on end - don't forget - a sh1tty little Rockling ain't a blank - onwards and upwards B)

I'm in the same place as you Ben, chasing all over and drawing blanks every time. Loads spent on bait and fuel and little to show for it. I'm going to buy a hammer and go in after them if they won't come out. :P
Nil Desperandum.

Painful times isn't it Prof?
Must cost the neck end of £25 per trip when you factor in bait, fuel, lost tackle, washing costs of your clothes when you get home! Probably more like £50 when you factor in keeping the missus happy after all our "Man time" trips!
One cod and I'd be happy.......

You can't "factor" this into the cost of fishing trips as this is a full time chore outside of fishing trips anyway ! :(
