Beside The River

[Lit]

Lit trot around her territory, exploring it and getting to know it better. She cam to the river, and inhaled deeply, taking in the scent and sight of the river. She needed to hunt, but that could wait while she rested. The fae walked up to the river and lapped gently, and then sat herself down on it's cool bank.

[Firestar]

Mascu stood silently in the dense cover of the forest that followed the river's flow down stream. Hazel eyes focused on one thing. The she-wolf reclining upon the cool bank that flanked the river. He stood tense, his whole massive frame shaking slightly with anticipation. The male qiuckly darted towards the edge of the tree line, but never made a sound. He left the cover of the trees, ivory pelt making him clearly visible now in the open. Lips curled as a snarl slipped from his muzzle. Legs stood tense, thorns held foward in aggresion. He cared not who this female was, but after the last experience with another of his kind he would most likely never be able to trust again.

[Lit]

The fae's ear pricked instantly. She rose gracefully to her feet and turned to see a bug brute snarling at her. The mascu was still not very, close, so she closed the distance, approaching cautiously. She raised her tail and ears, showing her dominance slightly.

[Firestar]

The male darted to the side as the female approched him. He could have a more direct route at the she-wolf's vitals when attacking from the side. Another snarl emmited from the hellion's muzzle as he waited, ready to spring upon the female at any moment. He believed could trust no one after what had happened to him. His own plume raised in defiance towards the female and his claws were held aggressivly.

[Lit]

Lit pulled herself up proudly, tail raised, plume held high, her sure sign of dominance. She whirled around again to face the other wolf, lips snarled and growling. She actually hated having to growl at others of her kind, for she was gentle by anture, but this was not acceptable. "How dare you tread my land and then have the audacity to growl at me!" She barked at the mascu.

[Firestar]

The male's eyes narrowed as he looked on at the fae with anger. Another snarl ripped from his muzzle. Swift as an eagle he lunged in at the Alpha female. Powerful jaws snapped together as he came upon her, hoping to damage anything vital. He could trust no one. this wolf was a danger to him.

[Lit]

Though she had been struck, the Alphess showed no weakness. She was bleeding from her right shoulder blade, as she scrambled away from the brute. "How dare you challenge the Alphess of Suka's pack, and how dare you enter this pure land with foul intentions!" She lunged at him, her sharp teeth making contact with his right leg, sending them both toppling.

[Firestar]

The mascu kicked out as the Alpha female came in contact with his leg. He was caught off balance when the female lunged, toppling over. Swiftly he rolled and jumped to his pads. Hackles raised, making his already massive bulk seem even larger. He spun to face the female once more.

You! How dare you judge one you do not know! You do not know my past! You don't know what i've been through! I can trust no one! He snarled at the she-wolf.

[Lit]

She shook herself, shoulder bleeding, and stood back up. She was still growling, and took a step toward him. She had no intention of attacking him. "If you do not want to be judged so easily, then why do you attack those who pose no threat, and that you do not know?" She asked softly, her soft nature being reavealed easily.

[Firestar]

The mascu stopped growling. With a loud thud he collasped onto the earth below his mitts. His snarling became pitiful whines of pain and fear. Mumrmers could be heard faintly over these whines.

No father...please....leave me alone!

his body began to convulse slightly as he cried out.

[Lit]

The she-wolf stopped growling completely as she saw the brute collapse. She, herself was weak from blood loss. Yet she made her way slowly over to the mascu, nudging him slightly with her maw. "Hey, are you ok? I didn't bite you that hard.." She winced herself, and sat down, nudging the brute again.

[Firestar]

Father...stop.... Mouned the mascu as he twisted in agony.

His pools flew open. His breath came rapidly. Tense for a moment he suddenly relaxed, pools closing slowly.

[Lit]

She nudged the brute again, but wanted to be cautious of him, because he could still attack. "Are you...ok?" She winced and whined, then collapsed to lie on the ground. He had bitten her pretty hard, and a significant amount of blood had been lost, and the wound was still bleeding slightly.

[Firestar]

The mascu struggled to stand to his pads. eyes fell upon the Alpha female, now collapsed on the earth, bleeding from her shoulder. Images flashed through the male's mind. He began to shake.

I...I did this!?He whined in panic.

Cursing lightly the hellion stepped towards the female. That was when the pain kicked in. His right front leg cried out in agony to his nerves as the pain shot up the entire lenth of his leg. He struggled for balance for a moment before carefully continuing towards the fae.

[Lit]

She winced a bit and whined, too in pain to move, and unsure if the brute would hurt her or not. She noticed him wince, also, due to her bit at the leg. She whined again. If he would kill her, then he would, but she couldn't move at the moment. She needed to rest.

[Firestar]

Mascu grasped the female by the back of her neck. Carefully he picked her up like he would have a pup, being that she was much smaller than him. He limped slightly as he drew near the river. Setting her down in the shallow part of the water he let the current wash the femora's wound clean.

[Lit]

She winced when the mascu picked her up. Out of pain and fear, but mostly pain. The cool water felt good on her wound as she licked it clean. When she was done, she looked up at the wolf. "Why would you help me?" She paused. "My name is Lit..."

[Firestar]

The mascu looked kindly at the female as she licked her wound clean. He winced at the comment on the attack.

I am deeply sorry for that. You see it was no I who attacked you. It was my father. It's hard to explain....he's a god from a distant land. Well not exactly a god...not anymore...you see he was exiled and made into a normal wolf again. He dstarted his own pack and found a mate....my mother. But somehow he never lost all of his powers. He attacked you through my body. The male explained.

Oh and my name's Firestar.

[Lit]

She thought for a moment. "Oh...I'm sorry..I've never heard of anything like that before..." She slowly stood up, almost falling down again. Her shoulder hurt, and she limped a bit as she shook herself off. She wobbled over to Firestar. "Is you...leg ok?" She sat down beside him, energy quickly exauhsted.

[Firestar]

Firestar examined his leg closly. Luckly no major damage had been done. He looked at Lit.

I will be fine. I have only one request...to be granted permission to join your pack. He barked softly.

He could feel her next to him and relized how lovely the female really was. He leaned closer to he, acting as if his leg pained him, but only really to get closer to the lovely fae.
