Title: Footnote A::
Description: Somewhere over the Rainbow

After being guided to the specified area, and given the twenty safari balls, Erin was ready. Her hour timer was started, and she gave the immediate area a once over with her eyes. She had clipped on five safari balls onto her bracelet, the sixth being a normal pokeball which held Nixxy, her Onix. She was carrying the rest in her satchel-like bag. "Didn't they say about there being Lugia somewhere in here? Oh, to find one would be uber lucky though..." She monologued quietly, listening to loud varying cries from far away, and a few hushed whimpers which were more immediate. A few must have spotted me as I walked in... She closed her eyes and listened, then after a few seconds opened them once more. "Well I can't waste my hour just standing here, now can I?" She whispered to herself, stepping forward.
Maybe I can find a Ralts! They're sympathetic to humans, so it probably wouldn't prove too too difficult. She thought, pushing past some especially tall grass. She placed her feet carefully, never knowing if there was a pokemon sitting idly behind the next grip of grass blades. She felt a small pinch above her knee, and paused in her efforts. She felt a blade of grass in her hand, it wasn't the grass that had pinched her. Probably was some type of foliage though--I don't think that the pokemon are quite that bold...Or are they? She mentally asked, slowly continuing.

As you continued to walk through the rainbow path you then felt something touch your soft skin as you passed a nearby tree. The thing that touched your skin felt really sticky, it stuck to your face, but what was it? Because you could barely see what it was that you had walked through. A pokemon was on top of your head for a moment, without you even noticing.
After the pokemon was on your head for a moment you then felt something move as it crawled down to your face. Right in front of you you had noticed a Spinarak. Ah! If I were you I'd be scared to find a spider like pokemon on top of me. You must have accidentally walked into the Spinarak's web while you were walking. What will you do now?

Erin felt a strange sticky substance on her fingers, paused, and looked at her hand. "Eww.." She said, trying to whip it on her pants. It was really sticky and strong, like a web. Like a web..crap.. she thought, looking behind her. There were a few strands of webbing around the trees and grass, but oh well. I'm looking for pokemon anyways. She thought,. Her whole body went rigid as she felt something crawl down her head to her face, her vision covered up by something. Aware that it must have been some kind of spider pokemon, she carefully took out her pokedex and looked it's information up.
'SPINARAK, the string spit POKEMON. It sets a trap by spinning a web with thin but strong silk. It waits motionlessly for prey to arrive.'
Erin clicked it shut, and put it back into her pocket. well, this could maybe catch it, but it will at least get it off of my face.. she thought, taking one of the safari balls from her bracelet and tapping it on the seemingly giant green spider on her face. <A red light appeared, engulfing the pokemon into the ball. Erin gently set the pokeball on the ground in front of her, waiting for either the spider pokemon to break out or for the light to go out.>

You could tell the spinarak was struggleing against the capture device, it was shaking viforously. After a little while, it finally came to a stop and the samll button in the center of the ball blinked, indicating sucsess. The spinirak had been succsessfully caught. Then, off in the distance, you heard a mighty roar of some large pokemon, most likely lugia. The roar had sent chatots and other flying types off into the air, but one of the birds was injured and inable of fleeing with the rest of the flock. Now, ten feet away from you, a Chatot is laying on the ground, injured, attempting to fly off with the rest of his flock. Will you help the chatot, or leave it to suffer?
(Congrats, you have caught a spinarak, level 20, feamle, choose a nickname if you want)

Erin smiled, picking up the pokeball just in time for it to be transported to the PC. Good deal. She thought, nodding to herself and smiling for a bit.
Suddenly she was sent backing up a few steps as she heard the mighty roar, unable to place it. I've never heard that pokemon before...Wait, in the pamphlet didn't they say about Lugia taking residence here? Oh my... She thought, gazing toward the sound which still rung in her ears. Above the ringing, she could hear something peeping. She blinked and looked around, seeing a struggling Chatot. "Aw you poor thing!" She exclaimed softly, sprinting over to it and kneeling beside it. "It's okay, sh... sh..." She gently pet its head, recognizing a sprained wing easily.
Gingerly, she felt the wing, slowly stretching it out. "Oh, your wing, it must be terrible.." She cooed softly, scooping the bird pokemon up into her arms and standing. She could tell that the flock of them had been trying to flee the Lugia, or at least had been frightened by it. "You come with me, I'll get you all fixed up okay?" She smiled, gently tapping the Chatot in a place where it wouldn't hurt the pokemon. It got sucked up, and Erin held the pokeball in both of her hands, not hindering the capture process though.

((Congratulations, you have caught a Level 22 Chatot, male. Please provide a nickname for your newly aquired Pokemon and it will be added to you Safari catchings and PC))
There was only a brief struggle inside the ball, but it quickly ended. Perhaps Chatot had been too weak to put up any resistance. The roaring seemed to increase and a giant, dark shadow passed over you. You looked up and saw Lugia flying away from you. it didn't appear to give you any notice and it was unlikely you could catch up to it. There was a rustling noise and a Bellsprout came into view. It saw you and rushed off, frightened.

Erin looked up just in time to see the magnificent beast flying above, whistling quietly. "That's...a big guy." She said to herself softly, looking down at a Bellsprout that hopped out of the bushes. She gave it a look, confirming its fear of her as it ran away. She looked in the direction the Lugia had flown, standing there for a few seconds before a smirk of epiphany arose on her features. She looked at the clip of pokeballs on her bracelet, grabbing the actual pokeball and pressing the button to release her Onix. "Nixxy!" She said, the large serpent-like rock pokemon emerging. "Lemme up." She said, raising an arm motioning for it to lower its neck.
After straddling the back of Nixxy's head and holding the sturdy horn, she said, "Let's go; follow that Lugia!" She didn't really know if they'd be able to catch up or not, even seeing it was apparently rare. oh but to get up close and personal... She thought, her desires getting the best of her.
Flamingfighter1510 - March 23, 2010 11:00 PM (GMT)
The Lugia was far into the distance now, but it stopped. It seemed to have sensed you. It looked back at you and your Onix. It glowed slightly and rocks came out of the ground and circled around the legendary Pokemon. They flew at you and Nixxy, landing with a startling thud right in front of you and you Onix. They were buried deep in the ground. This Lugia clearly did NOT want to be messed with and it flew away again. It let out a mighty roar and all but vanished into the distance as it flew.
The Bell sprout was still in sight. It was cowering right in front of the closest rock. It looked as if it had been almost hit by the projectile. It looked at you again and then ran as fast as it could away. Since the Lugia was dangerous and didn't want to be messed with, maybe you should try and capture this Bellsprout instead while you still can.
