The Metal Law Most Revered While we are relaxed in general, there are some things that cause consequences of epic proportions to occur. They are listed here. We like punishing the peasants whom deign to break our rules by dropping anvils on their heads from atop the tower, so look out below...

Metal News News concerning metal. This means recent occurrences in the community of musicians and bands that comprise the scene within which the heavy metal genre dwells. If you need a greater explanation, you are not worthy.

Earlier Metal Metal from the origins up to and including 1989. This is when hair was big and pants were painfully tight. Anyone caught not wearing bullet belts and denim vests littered with buttons and patches found a red size 12 Converse Chuck Taylor shoe squarely in the jaw.

Modern Metal Metal from 1990 to today. During a time when metal was besieged by rap rock, plaid-wearing grunge bands and pop-punk sissies, the underground persevered with blackened and deathly sounds. This also covers the reformation and return to glory we have supposedly been experiencing since. And, unfortunately, the huge influx of [insert odd name here]-core "subgenres".

Your Parent's Music Every now and again we discover a dusty old tome of epic grandeur lost in the folds of time. These pieces can be surprisingly good, or amusingly bad. Some call it classic, but we call it Your Parent's Music, and it goes here.

Rock/Rock and Roll This can consist of that swill you hear on the radio played by a bunch of unimaginative wankers cashing in on a trend, or the music made by lesser known bands that may or may not include the founders of the genre. And no, Motorhead is not "rock and roll".

Everything Else This is for those people who don't like to categorize their music, because doing so would "limit the artist's potential", and for those who just wish to speak about music in a general way.

The Game Cave This is that dark, dank hole where you are free to discuss and review your favorite interactive diversions that cost more money than they are worth. Everything from articles about your parent's Commodore 64 or Atari to the latest unreliable console or mammoth gaming PC that cost your college tuition to buy may go here. Oh, and if that kid from the movie "The Wizard" didn't get any respect for his gaming skill, neither will you, so no boasting.

The Metal Movieplex This is that special little section where those of us whom watch an inordinate amount of movies want to pester everyone else about what we saw and why it's so awesome (or lame). Therefore, if reading or writing movie reviews interests you, this is your place.

The Unfathomed Book Club Yes, some Metalheads actually do read something besides the liner notes on the inserts of their compact discs and records. Sometimes these things contain words without pictures, and are commonly referred to as books. Discuss these, and any other read materials here. (No porn magazine discussions.)

Downloads This is where those who are generous enough to share their files with other members may post download links for such files. Keep in mind that not all of us have accounts to Badongo or like using Windows Live SkyDrive, so make it simple and easy if possible. Mediafire is preferred, but Hotfile, 4Shared, Rapidshare and Megaupload are acceptable as well. Don't forget to supply passwords if the files are encrypted.
