"Well." He started "First of all, very few of them use chakra directly. They use Flash Energy, which is like chakra, but less controllable. It even has a seperate system. The only differences are that the main chamber is behind the eyes instead of in the belly, And there are only 73 release points. Flash Energy has no type, so any element can be used. The lack of an element puts a huge strain on each particle of energy. The strain is realised the first time the user converts their chakra into Flash Energy. The brain sets a limit to how much energy the main chaimber can release. That's why I couldn't use the Flash Steps anymore. There are only two ways the limit can be changed. Through burst training, and time. Burst training is where the user reaches their limit, then converts mass amounts of chakra into Flash Energy at one time. This overfills the chamber, and the doors burst open and release energy throughout the system, forcing the brain and mussles to get used to the flash energy. But this is extremely painfull, and there is a 25 percent chance of death. The other way is through time. The brain and mussles will eventually get used to the energy on their own. There have also been rare cases where people have been born without the three veins that touch the brain, which keeps the brain from setting a limit. There are some if my clan's jutsu that can't be used at my level, because they require too much energy. At my current level, I can do 4-30-20-65-12. Which means 4 jutsu, with a 30 repeat limit, a max output of 20, a max speed of 30, with a regeneration rate of 12. If you divide the first four numbers by the last one, you get the total time it takes to reach max potential from the absolute limit. So it takes me just under ten, which is actually pretty good!" He finished with a smile.

Although Hiro took mental note of everything Kamatari had said, he stood still while he began to scratch the back of his head. "I see." Was all he had to really say input wise. He now understood the concept, but he was not quite sure how to respond.
"Then if I am not mistaken, you will be unable to repeat your jutsu for twelve minutes? Or is the number twelve a rating number based on just how quickly this flash energy of yours will restore itself?"

"Well, if my number is 4-30-20-65-12, and the first four numbers get added together to figure out my max capacity, you get 119. Multply 119 by 10000 to get the number of particles. If the particles regenerate at a rate of 120000 per minute, divided by 10000 like the other numbers to equal 12, the equation is 119/ 12, which equals about 9.9. 9.9 divided by .6 equals 16.5. So it takes 16 minutes and 50 seconds to fully regenerate. I can go again at about half of that time, but I'll only be at half power." He explained "So the number 12 is how many particles of flash energy release their strain per minute, times 10000.

Hiro almost lost his balance, having been taken off guard by Kamatari being well informed about something. Still, the something was information about his own clan.
"Well, if you need to rest for a few minutes to replenish your energy so be it. However, I want you to resume your training when you have finished recharging." He ordered.
Hiro them grabed up his pole once again to continue to lazily rid the rest of the area of debree. Once Kamatari was recharged, they would move to a new location for him to practice. "Now tell me, are you interested in offensive or defensive techniques? I need to know if I'm going to instruct you." He said with a smile on his face, while he turned to face Kamatari.

"Probably defencive." Kamatari said, standing up and poking at trash at a walking pace. "I already have some offencive attacks." He continued to poke trash as he thought about wether his current techniques were offencive or defencive.

Hiro then went silent for a short time, thinking to himself on just what defensive techniques he knew that would suit Kamatari. Perhaps he could even change it into a new variation all his own.
Hiro soon smiled, he had an ideal technique for Kamatari to learn.

As Kamatari poked at the various pieces of trash around him, he suddenly felt relieved, even though he had felt nothing bad just moments ago.
"I'll never get tired of that!" He sighed blissfully, then he resumed his high speed garbage retrieval.

Hiro had decided that instead of teaching Kamatari a technique he knew himself, he would instead help him invent his own. First, however, he would have to test something about Kamatari's pre existing jutsu since he had an idea based on them.
Without explaining why, Hiro simply spoke an instruction to Kamatari. "Kamatari, I want you to use your chilling flame technique on this kunai..." As soon as he had finished his order, he threw a kunai without hesitation at Kamatari's chest.

"Do wha-" Kamatari started, then bent out of the way of the kunai as fast as he could. As it whizzed past, he realised they were in a crowd of people. Stray kunai+ crowd of people = bad news. He used the flash steps to come even with the kunai, and grab it just before it flew into the ear of some woman buying bananas. He went back to his sensei before the woman had even noticed what had happened.
"What was that?!" He exclaimed. "What did you want me to do?"

"That was a failed attempt at testing your flash techniques for the new jutsu I have in mind for you." Hiro set his bag down, and crossed his arms with disappointment. "You should always be ready, and on alert. I had faith you would stop the kunai so I threw it without a second thought."
Hiro then paused for a moment or two, wondering if he should give away his idea or not. After only a few seconds, he decided. "I asked for you to use your chilling flame technique on the kunai in order to see if it could stop or destroy the kunai with it's power. I guess it will be wiser simply to ask you. How long do you think your body could sustain both your flash steps and the chilling flame jutsu of yours?"

"But flame doesn't ignite that quickly..." Kamatari sighed. He began to cound on his fingers to figure out his sensei's question. After a few seconds he replied, "Twenty flash steps with five minutes of the flame at half power. or fifteen flash steps with 2 and a half minutes of flame at full power."

Hiro once again looked a little disappointed. He had not expected the flame to have a delay to it. "Is it possible to train yourself to allow your chilling flame to be an instantaneous jutsu? I had hoped to teach you to use the flash steps in combination with the flame technique so you may use it in a defensive manor not unlike my sphere armor technique."

"I guess it might be possible." He said looking at his hand. "But it's one of the slowesst known because it combines actual chakra as well. I have to force the flash energy out of my palm, and force chakra out of my fingertips, then spin them together, force the mixture back into the Flash energy point, then force it all out at once and sustain it with an even mix of Chakra and Flash energy. If I get too much flash energy, the flame flickers dark blue and it's useless, but if I use too much chakra, it turns orange and burns my hand."

"I see..." Hiro remarked, already understanding that his idea was not entirely impossible. "If you are still up to it, then I will begin training you on the technique I have in mind for you tomorrow. For now, we will finish our mission and continue with the training we are already working on."

ic: "Right!" Kamatari said, looking around and poking at the scant trash pieces around the area. Just as a man was tossing a plastic cup into the trash, Kamatari sped over and jabbed the trash out of mid air. The man gave him a weird look and shrugged. Kamatari smiled and put the trash into his bag.
