I have only owned one breed...English Pointers. I have hunted with serveral different breeds though, and I think several have traits that I like. It would be hard to beat my current pointer, Dot. She is a very good dog. So I guess my vote still goes to the English Pointers!

As you can see from my name Im parshal to the Griff.
Wwaayy to many people think the Griff is a boot licker but the breedings are getting way better and my guy has the get-up and go of any dog, sometimes to much.He will get out there 150 yards or so.I dont always like it but hes great at coming back to check in. If hes out there and goes on point he will still be there solid as a rock until I get there. The coats of the Griff are much better also now. There not that hairy or wooly anymore. They have a great wire coat and many you cant tell the difference between them and a Wire-Hair.There personality is of a big goof and always fooling around. So my vote is the Griff ![]() Shawn |

I like English Setters. More specificly Ryman/Old Hemlock breedings. They are a very good family dog, have great bird sense, natural retrivers, and alot more get up and go than you would think. Here is a link to my breeder.

They are nice looking dogs. The picture you let us use for the calendar was great.
