The sunless sky carried itself slowly across the abyss. the various clouds that hung low in the horizon cast shadows on the old, barren earth that the large pit bull lay on, his square head placed silently across his massive paws.

Orange eyes scanned the patch of land before him with a sort of restless anticipation. Reggie had always been a fighter, he thirsted for the taste of blood. that's all that he ever really knew, he never knew humans. After living it out for a few years, he decided to become a part of the dog faction but wandered around lost in his own mind for many days...occasionally slipping to the lands of the resistance.
He never calls anyone family, and learned that putting your trust in others usually led to fights or killing...the least of your worries was finding a foe in those that you trusted. dogs, wolves, many of them were merely filth to the pit bull. from his years of fighting he learned that many were back stabbers and pretended to be his friend, until they were put in the pit with him. then it was life or death.
And so that's how Reggie lived now. he belonged to no one, and only on occasion had meals with his own pack and slept near them. though somewhere, deep within the brute's soul...he searched for acceptance.
Those orange orbs dashed upwards, and the brute lifted himself onto heavy paws. With his tail erect, and his shackles raised Reggie set his sights on a black raven that came coasting down towards the earth.
Before the bird could land, reggie was up in the air, launched forward, large white fangs came crunching down on the delicate flesh of the bird. blood spattered everywhere and the dog came back down to the earth, as gravity forced him to land on all four paws. In a moment it was as if it never happened. the pit was lying back down, in his previous position, but his orange eyes held a certain glow to them while his jaws worked against bone and flesh and he casually began to eat his dinner without regards to the bird's lost life.
