Kyle followed her to the bus door and, conversationally, informed her that they hadn’t exchanged names.
“I can understand if you don’t want to give your name out to some brat you met on the bus,” he said slyly, “but I don’t mind telling you mine. I’m Kyle Victor Shryer and I work as an assistant for the scientist Sauraka Maldine Wynn.
“He’s a real fucktard,” he added as he waited for the people in front of him to move their lazy asses and get off the damn bus. He noticed that, sometime since he’d gotten on the bus, it had begun to rain.
Great, he thought, I hate rain.
The teen suddenly felt uneasy and his blood ran hot through his veins. Kyle looked out the window, expecting to see something to clue him in. He didn’t see anything.
He did hear the scream, however.
