Appearance
It's obvious Naminé would be a very pretty young woman if she wasn't treated so horribly. Her pale blonde hair falls over one shoulder, her eyes are large and shockingly blue, her figure is slender and slight... But her small body is much thinner than it should be, and covered in cuts and bruises, and those doll-like eyes reveal that Naminé has seen and experienced too much for someone of her age.

Personality
Naminé is a sweet, fragile young woman. She takes any chance she gets to escape into her art; drawing, coloring, painting, anything to get her out of the hell that is her reality. She quiet, unassuming, and overly shy, and even fearsome of people; there is a select few that she feels comfortable with, and even less that she can handle touching her. It seems to be her constant goal to blend into the background, to "not exist" and not catch attention. This, however, doesn't help when she needs it most: When Ganthe turns his focus on her.

Naminé can easily be considered a broken soul, although those who she allows near are surprised how much of "herself" she has been able to keep. Her temperament is ever sweet and loyal, always gentle, always kind -- but she is so far withdrawn into herself that it isn't noticable. She seems to never hate, or to never be angry, but she has her share of negative emotions; she is living in a constant state of fear, to the point that it can be crippling.

Maybe if she had grown up in a normal household, she would have been able to grow into an imaginative young woman who supports her friends always; loves and trusts and laughs easily; so on and so forth, but... She didn't grow up in a normal household, and while the potential for all this is still there, she would never know it herself, as her sense of self is all but nonexistant.

Background
To say Naminé has not had a happy life is an understatement. She was raised in Prontera Ophanage, and her earliest memories consist of the church. She had a couple of friends: Roxas, who she felt was her older brother, and Nisemono, with whom she felt a kindredship. But when she was still very young, a man named Ganthe came and "adopted" Naminé and took her back to Einbech, over which he ruled. That was when her life turned into a living hell.

Ganthe's track record is well-known, and needless to say, Naminé became one of his "playthings," despite her age. Through the physical (including sexual) and emotional abuse, Naminé quickly lost whatever sense of self she had. It is due to Ganthe that her body is so poorly taken care of, obviously.

However, Naminé is not without sympathizers and friends under Ganthe's ownership. She has made friends with another one of Ganthe's servants, Lucian, and that bond is one of the things that has kept her steady. There is also a Priestess who works in the kitchens in Einbech who does her best to help Naminé heal after her "episodes" with Ganthe, and slowly, Naminé has started to become healthier.

One of the other few things that keeps Naminé steady is her art. She believes it's surprising that Ganthe has allowed her the sketchbook and colored pencils, the only things she can really call her own, but the drawing provides her an escape from her reality. (However, since this eases her mind and relaxes her, Ganthe then can draw more of a thrill out of breaking her again, and again, and again... Which is likely why he lets her have her art.)

Lately, Naminé has been feeling strange. She gets sick in the mornings, her appetite has taken odd turns, her emotions have been more volatile and fragile... The Priestess that cares for her is starting to suspect that Naminé is pregnant, but she's too afraid to tell anyone, even Naminé -- for if Ganthe found out...
