Welcome to Ziost, once capital of the Ancient Sith Empire. Now we, the Acolytes of Darkness, call it home. Together we we will rebuild this world previously abandon for millenia, and usher in a new reign of Sith bolstering the reach of darkness throughout the galaxy.

I am placing this RPG in this forum to keep it close to the other AoD forums and maintain some organization, while attempting to keep this RPG isolated and free from all of the many other games we have here at this site.

For rules and references please visit the Main Role Playing Forums.

http://z10.invisionfree.com/The_Sith_Trial...hp?showforum=16

Of course all Sith Trials Site Rules apply with this Game. Your rank and abilities in this RPG are directly related to your overall rank in the Acolytes of Darkness.

Character Sheets can be submitted in the following thread, also located in these forums:

http://z10.invisionfree.com/The_Sith_Trial...p?showtopic=498

I opened this with the thought in mind that this be a RPG open to all skill levels to hopefully allow you a place to do a vast scope of Role Playing and hone your skills. In the setting of a Sith order, specifically the Acolytes of Darkness.

Feel free to let this RPG flow in almost any way you wish, in respect to the Acolytes of Darkness and our placement on the wolrd Ziost. Your skill levels and proficiency with them is up to you. You will drive this RPG, however I hope in your quest to become a better Role Player we will exercise a good sense of relative realism to your rank and skills. With these things in mind I hand this RPG over to the Acolytes of Darkness. Please enjoy. This RPG is yours to mold and create with only these few things from me.

1- Ziost is a lush world, however it is covered mostly in thick, dark forests, with small seas and lakes.

2- The precise temple layout is purely up to you. Please use your imagination to enthrall us in a great envoronment. It was a ancient temple once used by the Sith long before us.

3- There are no major cities, nor large settlements except for us. You may in the course of things encounter small villages, or hordes of primative humanoids.

4- Ziost was once the capital of the Sith Empire, though it does not have nearly as many burial vaults, and tombs as Korriban. It is filled with temples, ruins, military facilities, and all manner of structures that time has forgotten in certain areas once used principally by the Sith. Feel free to incorperate them into your game playing.

Edit: Please all Acolytes feel free to post, as I said this is your story as much mine! Start driving this RPG.

No one going to go? I shall start then...

Draconis----Ziost----Valley of the Citadel

Overlooking a immense valley a darkly cloaked Sith crouches looking out across the great expanse, the sun is not stting yet but hangs low in the distance inf ront of him and a far end of the valley below. In front of him the lush and dark forest covers the land most of the land, though the occasional rock formation pierces the forest canopy. As well an occassional stream, lake, or clearing can be seen, and if one were not looking they might miss the few crumbling remains of the ancient structures that were barely noticable. Small structures for which purpose eluded Draconis at the moment. The forest was thick in this valley much like the majority of the planet. Though the former masters of this world had managed to slice back the forest enough in several places to create large areas of congregation, massive fortresses and a Citadel once used as the gathering place for the entire empire created around this world and others. It seemed though even they knew that they could not tame such a world. The forests were as much alive as any other living creature on this dark world. The darkness that flowed here is rooted deep in this world's black soil. This place held immense power once, and it can still be felt faintly at present. However it is yearning to be awoken from a long slumber.

The cloaked figure continues to stare as the beautiful silence of the fading afternoon is broken from behind him ever so slightly. A controlled, yet almost scared and frantic voice is heard almost mumbling. "See... I told you it was real, this place... everyone doubts. Doubts this place, forests and all. No matter, no matter you are here. Grismaya bring you here... now have reward. You promised. Youooo promise. Membber Remmebeeer! ...And I gather what you request! Gather I did as you said. All details complete. Now you reward, as promise... as promised!

Maintaining his gaze across the valley, Draconis grins ever so slightly under his dark hood. A subtle silent breath is taken in by him as he speaks without moving to address the frantic voice.

I did promise you something, didn't I.

A gurgling is heard as indecernable sounds can be heard from the direction Grismaya. The a soft thud of a Twi'Lek body is heard as it lands, inpacting the soft grass on the large outcropping Draconis maintained his crouched on. The Twi'Lek had been quite useful. Even with Draconis' resources, aquiring what he needed was a job for the vile and subsequently well connected vile underworld. It was done none the less. Such and the loose ends that was.

Returning to his gaze across the valley Draconis breathed and took pleasure in the knowledge that years of planning were coming to a head. There was much work to oversee.

From behaind him much farther in the distance the roar of repulsor engines could be heard as several massive warships broke through the clouds. The slender black warships desended down to land, though not in an area cover in forest. Desending from the upper atmosphere the black warships began mingling with massive ancient towers and structures that reached skyward up from the landscape. At their bases massive stone courtyards and parade fields surrounded the structurest. The dark architecture saturated this opposite end of the valley and yet as old as they were, the majority of the ancient structures were still intact after thousands of years. The sun brought the afternoon sun to bare upon the many pyramids and towers. And the contrast of the ancient strutures with the black ships was a sight to behold. The black warships prepared to deliver their payloads of cargo, supplies, machinery, equipment, and slaves. Draconis still had not broken away from his view of the lush forest valley. Draconis had admired the Citadel Valley during his desent and though what was transpiring behind him was a beautiful sight, this world as a whole showed as a beacon of energy and that was truly enthralling and beautiful.

Soon they would come, the many the Draconis had brought into following, and through the teachings of some of the ancient orders greatest. Having been taught personally and also at times taught through the other powerful means of this order of darkness. Draconis now sought to grow the power of the force and of darkness. To bring about a new generation of dark followers, a new and refined presence. To rekindle the flame of the order which once called this world home, and spread that flames order across the galaxy.

Raising himself up from his crouched position, Draconis acknowledged the sun as it sank lower in the sky to a brilliant sunset. It was time to return and make preperations. The SITH would congregate this world once again!

IC: Darth Deprecor

Darth Deprecor emerged from the dense forests of Ziost, small twigs and branches clinging to his robe, robes that had been stained green in various places during his trek through the forest. He dusted himself off, finally reaching his destination. He straightened up, then looked about the clearing in front of him, casting his eyes over the massive Sith Citadel located in the middle of the clearing. The Citadel had once been a place of congregation, a meeting place for the early Sith, and Deprecor knew why the Headmaster, Lord Draconis, had summoned them here. He looked in awe at the massive structure, a wave of dark energy hit the Sith Apprentice, and Deprecor basked in the energy that this planet emanated, this Citadel emanated. He felt at home here, not only in the literal sense of the word, but because this was a world that belonged to the Sith, that had been inhabited by the Sith, and had a rich history with the Sith. It was a focal point of the Dark Side. The sun was setting now; the sky lit a bright crimson in color as a result.

Deprecor then stretched out with his feelings, attempting to locate the Headmaster. He found him, and looked upward. He made out a dark figure crouched on a rocky outcropping that overlooked the clearing and the Citadel. The figure stood, staring straight across the valley, at the brilliant sunset and the ominous looking Citadel. he turned, and began to walk away. Deprecor walked to the small cliff, bent his knees, then leapt upward, letting the Force flow through him, augmenting his physically abilities and rocketing him upward. He landed lightly in a crouch, then approached the Headmaster, Darth Draconis. He bowed low respectfully, and addressed the Headmaster. He remained in a bow on one knee, his head down, until told otherwise, displaying the utmost respect for the Headmaster.

IC: Ziod Dakari
Ziost - Sith Academy

The fading sun pierced through the Armageddon's front window as the Interdictor-class Cruiser landed on Ziost's surface. The large ship barely fit in the forest clearing, branches from the towering forest trees skimming the ship's hull. Ziod removed himself from the cockpit, and headed towards the ramp that would lead him to the planet surface.

The Sith hopeful stepped onto the cold, dark ground, breathing in deeply, letting the dark energy of the planet fill his body. Ziod knew from the beginning that the Headmaster was a wise sentient, simply by knowing that he chose Ziost as a location for the academy. He knew that the journey placed in front of him would be a difficult one, and that he would do anything to come out on top. Even if it meant betraying another Acolyte. It didn't matter to him. Victory at all costs.

Ziod scanned the premise, in hopes he would find some indication of where he was to go. His eye was caught by what appeared to be another Sith hopeful, bowing deeply in front of the Headmaster.

Ziod walked calmly toward the Headmaster, his long black robes trailing on the rocky ground. The Headmaster made no eye contact with Ziod, showing his superiority. Ziod bowed in front of the master, parallel to the other Sith hopeful, awaiting a response.

IC: Dark Sun (Sith Academy-Ziost)

Landing a few hours behind another ship, but further away, Dark Sun watched the forest and trees that covered the land. "Good place to hide a sith academy." She walked out side and took a much closer look.

The lush greens and shrubs, swayed with the little breeze that came and went. She smiled and pondered why the old man, gave her these cordinates. "I will have his head, if he is lieing to me." She pulled the data pad from her pack, to check on the directions, and nodded. Her last masters, trained under the old code, and she planned on bringing it back. She then moved off, in the direction given to her.

She gathered the small powers that she used and let the will of the force help guide her. Branches, and small creeks, went pass her in a flash, and when they hindered her, she cut them down. Time, was no concern to her, or the light of day. So was born from darkness, and darkness ruled her life. No more parents to say what to do, or old geezers to watch over her.

Trees and branches whipped past her and some actually got by, not by accident neither. She loved the sting of plants and the crack of a whip. She had no tolerance for failure, or for the weak or even the fools who call themselves dark jedi. The old code forbid that, under her ex-masters rule.

Now she seeks, more power, and a better libary of knowledge from some one new. As her mind comes back to what she was doing, her hand quickly reaches behind her and uncoils, her whip. Faster than a striking snake, the whip's end, snaps off a limb, that could trip her feet.

Now, as the limb falls, she slows down, there is a new presence. A presence of power, and great knowledge ahead of her. As she stops, she listens to her surroundings, and peeks through the loose limbs and branches. There are at least three poeple, there and two who are bowing to the third. Putting the light whip away, and rehooking, Dark Sun pushes through the trees and grass.

"I am here, my master." Her voice box crackles and spurts, but holds a clear voice. "I am ready to learn", then she knees, and bows her head, but her eyes never leave the man's body. She had learned early, that one does not leave eye contact, with no one.

IC: Ara Neith

The slender Umbaran noted other wouldbe Sith around her. Human, for the most part. All the better. Those who were human would be more likely to underestimate Ara, judging her by the frailty her appearance suggested. She was small...but of an average height for her people.

Pale eyes flicking about interestedly, Ara approached the dark figure that seemed to be awaiting the newcomers. She bowed her head briefly, waiting to be acknowledged. She would be spoken to if this one chose...and would wait for him to decide to do so.

IC: Lord Manticore

Ziost

Finally, after what seemed like an endless number of standard cycles, The Raptor made it to it's destination. Ziost.

Inside the ship, Lord Manticore almost held his breath and did not let his guard down, even though he had a very strong feeling in the force that this was indeed the planet the sith had indicated. Cautiously, he monitored his surrounding as he was given clearance to land. In the past months, he'd followed many false leads which nearly cost him his life. Little did he know then as he did now, that those incidents were designed to test his resolve...and resolved to find this Sith Master he was indeed.

As the Raptor began it's planetary descent, the blood red zabrak refused to acknowledge a sense of relief, but could not deny feeling a potent surge of destiny. The Force was leading him now, and he knew it beyond a shadow of a doubt. All these months of endless searching and testing had finally paid off.

Soon, his ship landed at the designated coordinates and the Sith hopeful disembarked, securing the ship behind him. Lord Manticore, as he now called himself, though not a Sith Lord, took a moment to study his surroundings. He was surrounded by interminable lush vegetation which teemed with abundant life. This place was a veritable hunter's paradise, rife with wonders and dangers, he had no doubt. Lord Manticore respected the power of such a place, and what he felt about him, the current of the darkside, galvanized him the more. Still, he could not allow his excitement to get the best of him. A being of his training had to be alert at every given moment, lest in a moment of weakness or distraction, the unthinkable should happen.

The Sith hopeful did not lower his hood, but did close his eyes momentarily and focused on the powerful currents of the Force. Several breaths later, the blood red zabrak felt a compulsion in the force, as if something or someone were drawing him near. Without hesitation, Lord Manticore followed. He did not think of how long it would take him to find whatever was calling to him or the obstacles which he would encounter. All he focused on was finding the source of the compulsion, no matter where it would take him. Lord Manticore was not sure what he would find, but nearly an hour later of diligent searching did he finally find what he was looking for.

Lord Manticore's fiery eyes gazed upon a gathering of black robed figures kneeling before one who's Force presence was like a blazing furnace. This was no doubt the Sith master he had been searching for, and at his feet were those who sought his teachings. The blood red zabrak did notice how the setting sun bathed the scene in it's fires, shrouding the gathering in an almost preternatural light.

Without a word, the zabrak silently approached. He completely ignored the other suplicants as he too knelt before the Sith Master before them. For now, he was no differenet from them. No, this was not the time for such thinking. Clearing his mind from all distractions and focusing on the force, the blood red zabrak let the fires he felt within his chest spread and sear the rest of his being. Nothing else mattered, but the Sith Master and the Force.

This moment was everything. The End of a journey and the begining of Destiny.

Draconis----Ziost----Valley of the Citadel

Draconis had just began to turn when he noticed a figure coming in his direction. The echo in the force rippled through the air. Behind him another, and off in the dircetion of a more heavily forested area another... then still yet another. The congregation was forming. The lure of this place was stronger than Draconis had anticipated. A slight change in plans was in order, however no less a welcomed one. riasing his arm an shaking his wrist and forearm slightly the sleeve of his dark robe gently slide back revealing a comlink and datapad wrist band. Tapping in a command and executing the message, Draconis lowered his arm again the robe sliding down as he regained his previous posture. Now turning to face the valley again awaiting the pilgrims arrival.

First to come was a human landing nearby after traversing some of the nearby terrain in a quick manner. Shorter than normal though in filling out his clothes well from his muscular physique well capable. A respectful low bow and kneel signified his submission to the headmasters will.

Next a more menacing figure, clad mostly in upper body armor. Taking a position more in Draconis' line of sight to bow and show his respect and fealty. Emerging from a forested area an older woman appeared bringing herself before Draconis. "I am here master. I am ready to learn." All while maintaining eye contact. Though Draconis never strays his gaze from the sunset occuring across the other end of the immense valley.

A very slender young woman next appears,a simple and respetful head bow signified here readiness.

Next kneeling attempting to approach silently though well done, was another black robed figure. His preson radiated focus as he too showed his willingness in offering himself to the headmaster.

Draconis acknowldged them all through the force and though they would not hear Draconis' voice in their heads... they would not hear his voice form his mouth either. As if on cue a slight breeze came upon the outcropping well above the valley floor. Spread across the wind was Draconis' voice in tune with this world after a long time spent here alone, and preparing for events now culminating. With an erieness and and almost silent wisper heard across the breeze trailing off into the blwon air, Draconis welcomed them remaining stoic faced outwards peering.

...Welcome...

The headmaster that a few more remained to gather, for now a bit of waiting was in order. Perhaps Draconis thought that even though the current students which almost surrounded him brimmed with eagerness and energy. That they might give themselves one final moment of freedom watching the sun set. The eagerness was well warrented, for on the otherside of this passage laid power beyond their comprehension. One final moment to observe something beautiful and innocent... something so natural and seemingly unstoppable as a sunset. Sending out an aura of calmness, something one would think foreign to a Sith Draocnis attempted to ease the mood, anger and hate would come, pain and death, suffering... all manner of dark things. Remaining calm and focused was just as important if not more important to a follower of the darkness than any other. If these persons truly knew what lay ahead of them they would turn and run, and Draconis knew it. The eagerness for power blinding many to the reality of the cost. Overcomable to be sure, but the temperment was just as much learned as it was natural. Whom among them knew this, denied this, embraced this? They would soon find out.

Acolytes of Darkness

ooc: Appologize for not getting right into some training and action, I would still like a number of people to join us... only a few more. Giving them the chance at least to start among us. Some patience please then we will truly begin. In the mean time feel free to respond to my post if need be until I post again.

IC: Latrella Deviazer

Latrella landed her ship in the forest, not far from another ship. She left it and began walking toward the place where the temple was located. As the young girl came closer, she saw a group of beings kneeling before someone. "This must be the head master," she thought, slowing her pace. As Latrella reached the group, she follow their example and knelt before the leader. Her eyes were fixed on the head master. She didn't care about anything or anyone else; only him and the words of wisdom concerning the darkside he would put forth.
Latrella waited to see what would happen next.

IC: Darth Deprecor

Deprecor was accompanied by another Acolyte, and he identified the Sith immediately, the presence of this Acolyte being very familiar. Ziod Dakari is what he called himself now, though Deprecor knew him by another name. He was a human male, taller than Deprecor, and he bowed as well, positioning himself next to Darth Deprecor.

Soon they were joined by another, a human female, who spoke through a voice box, the skin around her mouth scarred and burned. She anounced her presence, and bowed slightly, though her eyes did not stray from the headmaster.

Another female Acolyte approached, and Deprecor, after a moment, had identified her as an Umbaran. She nodded her head in acknowledgement, directing her pale eyes at the headmaster.

A red-skinned male Zabrak joined them, his approach silent, though he emanated the Dark Side, and he caught the eye of Deprecor. Deprecor watched him as he walked forward, he carried himself like a warrior, and he knelt before the headmaster as well.

The headmaster spoke, though his voice seemed not to have been spoken, nor transmitted telepathically, though carried upon the slight breeze that swept the valley. He welcomed his Acolytes, and Deprecor stood, looking about the scene.

He had been evaluating each of his peers as they approached, observing posture, their walk, their presence in the Force, and if they spoke, their voices, taking note of their character, their personality, and their emotions. He saw overconfidence, arrogance, though he had also observed strength, and patience.

Another Acolyte joined them, another female, though she did not bow, and Deprecor disregarded her for the moment, positioning himself between Ziod Dakari and the Zabrak.

There was no doubt in his mind that he was ready, he knew the Dark Side well, he had travelled along the path of the Dark Side in the past. He knew what was required, and he knew that he would fulfill those requirements. He continued to observe the other Acolytes, gaining every advantage he could over the other students.

IC : Serene Mid-Night

Serene scanned the area of the forest and trees, searching for a place to land her ship. As she perfectly landed her ship next to a few others, she felt from complete devotion and loyalty that she must head to the Citedal, the ancient ruins of the Sith who herself is deeply connected and deeply trust with her greatest whim. She walked down the ramp and entering the forest of this beautiful, enchanting land.

The fresh scent of air mingled with trees forest and earth, she felt something much more than just sheer beauty for this place, something much more profound and deep, something that in her very soul is something she experienced when she was young: of being a Sith. Not only does it seem to her that training and patience is the test, but she is very willing to do her best. Even if it has to do with competition or not, even it has to go through the most hardest challenge of all, but its all up to her to chose wisely, its up to the leader Draconis of her potential.

She comes to a clearing and to a ruin, guessing the temple of where the Academy is, seeing some fellow acolytes kneeling before their master and leader. She Respectively bows to one knee and her head then keeps a maintained eye contact. "I am here master, I am willing to be trained."

IC: Ara Neith

The breeze that brought the Sith Lord's words to those assembled brushed against Ara's head and made the edges of her Shadowcloak flutter faintly. Ara gave an almost imperceptible smile. There was power within that little breeze; she could feel it. The sunset drew her eyes, and she gazed out across the landscape.

Turning her attention back to the others, Ara let her pale glance drift across their faces appraisingly. An interesting group. It was entirely possible that some of them might rival the cunning and treachery she had seen so often upon Umbara. A light breeze continued to flow past Ara's bare head as she stood waiting...watching the others.

IC: Latrella Deviazer

Latrella continued to watch the one who seemed to be the master of this group. She admired his attire, especially his long, flowing black robes. Then she turned her attention to some of the beings around her. None of them were as impressive as the leader.
Latrella looked forward to beginning her training. She knew it would be hard, but she was willing to do whatever it took to achieve greatness and power, no matter the cost.
The young girl closed her eyes, took a cleansing deep breath to release all tention and began to concentrate on the dark side of the Force.
However, she remained alert in case the master spoke. She did not want to miss a word he had to say.

IC: Dark Sun (Zoist)

Dark Sun also was watching the others, and trying to figure out who she would have to take out, but none seemed to get the top of the list, but there were a few that she had to watch.

As she let her eyes do the walking, she caught one of the other new members glancing her way. It was a female that had on a dark blue...or black short sleeve shirt with some mark, but from where she knelt, Dark Sun could not see it. Her black pants and boots were a little dirty, from the trek she had, but was clean. It only told her, that the woman was a princess. Not used to being dirty, while her clothes had old stains and had rips in it. Being dirty was no problem for Dark Sun, learner of the old sith.

Though, the lord of this place was something totally different. She could feel the power radiate from him, and she grew hungry for it too. "Some day, that will be me standing there. Welcoming in the new students of the sith." She mentally pondered.

Then she saw the zabrak, "Aliens, they all should be wiped out to the species. Unless, he can prove himself quickly." She thought while the lord waited.

Lord Manticore

Zoist

The blood red zabrak patiently waited for the master to speak when he felt a surge in the force. A breeze came over the small clearing and Lord Manticore could almost feel it's energy. The breeze caused the leaves about them to rustle and that's when he heard it. It wasn't in his mind, as he expected, but it seemed that the wind itself had spoken.

...Welcome...

Lord Manticore thought his response at the Sith Master, rather than speak it aloud.

"As you will...Master."

Lord Manticore did not rise, for they had not been officially given leave to do so. But even as he waited for further instructions from the Sith Master, the blood red zabrak keenly evaluated the other supplicants about him. He did not need his eyes to take their measure, for he could feel them and sense them in the force. Within moments, Lord Manticore was able to formulate a rough estimate of those gathers. He felt that there was confidence here, as well as overconfidence, caution as well as fear, which caused him to chuckle inwardly. There seemed to be a decent variety of temperaments present, but few that caught his interest.

A figure moved beside him and Lord Manticore recognized an inner determination not unlike his own, yet he did not stir. He was focusing in the Force, searching the currents of the darkside. Oddly enough, he did sense a soothing wave, which he steeled himself against. Lord Manticore despised manipulation of any kind, and would only be affected by that which was much greater in power than himself.

He could almost feel the rays of the setting sun on his back, like a multitude of warm hands....and then he felt something else. A pair of eyes were now on him. The sensation was intense and quite distinct. The blood red zabrak followed the dark currents to it's origins and found that one of the females looked upon him with disfavour. If it were not for the Sith Master's presence, he would have scoffed aloud at the foolish supplicant and put it out of its misery, but there would be time enough for that.

Lord Manticore was not unlike a hunter and a mythic beast of legend. A hunter knew to be patient and knew exactly when to strike. Now was not that time.

Inside his black hood and unseen by any, the blood red zabrak opened his fiery eyes for a moment as a devious smirk played upon his face. He closed his eyes once again, and continued his survey through the force.

He had no doubt that the challenges he would face here on Ziost would transform him into the darksider he envisioned himself to be.

Draconis----Ziost----Valley of the Citadel

Lord Draconis was pleased with the turn out, several beings full of potential. And more intruiging was the spectrum of philosophies. Yes the darkside was hate, andger emotion! But it is so much more, and Draconis could feel the eagerness and willingness of these individuals that surrounded them. Their timing perfect as Draconis knew this gathering was brought together by the will of the force, their first steps began now. Draconis remained focused staring out across the immense valley, his back still turned to the business at hand surrounding the temple and other various Sith complexes. A top this hill they were alone, and poised to begin. The Sith Master first spoke to his new crop of students, his voice commanding but calm as he beagn to address them while maintaining his stoic position.

I am glad you have all arrived. No long winded speeches for the time being. You all have journey from a far and are eager to begin I am sure. You have all been guided here by the force and rightly so. Your temperment is perfect for becoming tremendous practitioners of the force. So let us begin.

With those words being said the sudden roar of engines was heard from behind the group as a landing craft came flying over their backs and out in front of them. The robes of Draconis rustled violently as the wind kicked up sending a strong gust through the grass of the outcropping and clothing that everyone wore. The whine of repulsor engines kicked in as the shuttle pivoted pitching and leveling off. Bringing it within a jump of the outcropping with the large back acess door uofolding revealing a large hold and a droid pilot. Draconis spoke up addressing the doid pilot directly.

Pilot initiate return mission once everyone is aboard.

Draconis finally turned back to the students finally acknowleging them with his face meeting theirs with his dark blue eyes looking upon all of them peering into their very souls.

This is your first test a simple one. This shuttle will take you back to the temple areas where you will be assigned a specific task to complete before the sun comes up tomorrow. No everyone if you would please board the shuttle and I will meet you back at the temple in due time.

Acolytes of Darkness

ooc: I will give you all a weeks time to respond... if not then I will asume evryone is aboard and go along with our plans. Thank you!

IC: Darth Deprecor

The headmaster stood, his back still turned to the many Acolytes encircling him. Then he spoke, his voice calm but commanding, a reflection of the man himself, everything about him, his posture, his voice, his words, emanated a knowingness and power beyond that of anyone Deprecor had ever encountered. He surpressed a grin, he was in the right place, that was for certain.

The headmaster's words were short, though to the point, they were to begin their training, the congregation was seemingly complete. Soon after the headmaster had spoken, the roar of a shuttle's engines was heard. A landing craft settled down behind the group of Acolytes, kicking up a strong wind, blowing Deprecor's robes all about him. The headmaster spoke once more, informing them that they were all to board the shuttle, and that it would take them to the Sith Academy. He then told them that they would receive their first task upon arriving at the academy, and that he expected it to be complete before the next morning.

Deprecor executed a quick, but respectful and low bow to his master, and was the first to step forward, his stride quick, powerful, though strangely graceful as well, and it seemed as if the Sith Apprentice were gliding rather than walking. He boarded the shuttle, not turning to look back, a reflection of his determination and willingness to walk the path of the Dark Side.

IC: Dark Sun

Her lord and master spoke in a very commanding words and it required people to listen, and she listened. Not one word was missed or escaped her ears.

I am glad you have all arrived. No long winded speeches for the time being. You all have journey from a far and are eager to begin I am sure. You have all been guided here by the force and rightly so. Your temperment is perfect for becoming tremendous practitioners of the force. So let us begin.

As he finished, his short speech, a shuttle rose from behind the hill and rose just enough for them to get on, or shoot them all down, but that was not the case. The wind that was created from the rising ship, whipped her cloak and coverings into a whirlwind of mayham. The crack of her cloak, could wake anyone up from sleep, except the dead. Her short hair was blew back and she loved the feeling of it. Then he spoke agian.

This is your first test a simple one. This shuttle will take you back to the temple areas where you will be assigned a specific task to complete before the sun comes up tomorrow. Now everyone if you would please board the shuttle and I will meet you back at the temple in due time

One of the others beat her to the movement of being first, but it would not happen again. He stood up and bowed, then went into the ship, being the first, but very far from being the last. Dark Sun stood up, and stared at the master, there was no need of words or actions, she was hungry for the coming knowledge that would help her in the coming quest. She stepped forward into the ship and went in and found a seat and sat.

Now, the only two to enter the ship, had to wait for the rest.

IC: Ziod Dakari
Ziost - Sith Academy

Many other hopefuls soon joined him in paying their respects to the Dark Lord. A Zabrak, a young girl, along with some more interesting characters. He could feel the determination and anger coming from the other acolytes, though their energy was almost completely concealed due to the amazing power and wisdom being emitted from the Dark Lord.

The Dark Lord said a few words, giving them instructions on what to do next. His voice was calm and in control, and was soon followed by the sound of a Ion engines. A medium sized carrier ship, much like the ones he knew back on Sleyheron rose from the their backs and landed behind Lord Draconis. The red cape worn by Ziod waved high in the air as the ship landed.

Ziod and the other hopefuls were instructed to board the ship that will take them to the Academy grounds. Two of the acolytes boarded first, one a beautiful women, the other, a shorter human, one that Ziod had seen before. Ziod was third to board the ship, his metal boots making a loud noise as he walked up the boarding ramp.

There, Ziod stood patiently with the other acolytes next to him. He awaited the boarding of the other hopefuls and the departure that would forever change his life.

IC: Lord Manticore

Ziost, Sith Academy

"I am glad you have all arrived. No long winded speeches for the time being. You all have journey from a far and are eager to begin I am sure. You have all been guided here by the force and rightly so. Your temperment is perfect for becoming tremendous practitioners of the force. So let us begin."

The blood red zabrak heard the Sith Master's calm and firm voice and rose slowly at the sound of it. Silent, he stood to his full height and regarded the Sith Master alone, as he received every word into his being. Oh, he was certainly well aware of the other hopefuls surrounding him, but knew that none were foolish enough to act in a manner that would certainly reward them with a most immediate end. No, the Sith Master had gathred beings with true potential to this place. He could feel as much within the currents of the Force.

After the Sith Master's initial address, a vehicle appeared behind them suddenly, it's engines filling the air with it's mechanical noise and whirling gusts of air.

Lord Manticore stood stoically in place, letting the gusts of wind snap his robes to and fro. The Sith hopeful watched as the Sith master gave a command and the pilot positioned the vehicle just a mere jump from the outcropping. With but a glance, the zabrak could appreciate what would happen should any of them miss the jump.

So, the culling had already begun.

"This is your first test: a simple one. This shuttle will take you back to the temple areas where you will be assigned a specific task to complete before the sun comes up tomorrow. Now everyone, if you would please board the shuttle and I will meet you back at the temple in due time."

Lord Manticore gave a slight nod of his hooded head as acknowledgement of the Sith Master's words. He waited a moment, and almost smiled. Already there were students eager to be the first to board the shuttle. The blood red zabrak managed to hold back a chuckle and waited for the opportune moment. Another hopeful, one with a red cape moved to enter the waiting ship. Lord Manticore moved three steps behind, which placed him as the fourth in line. With a casual effort and slight aid of the Force, the blood red zabrak jumped the distance from where he stood, cleared the chasm between the ship and the outcropping, and landed gracefully aboard the waiting vehicle.

A firm and concise sweep of his arms brought his flaring robes back into place, and with a solid stride, he stood somewhat apart from the gathered students, however, closest to the hopeful with the red cape.

Once again standing stoically and at his full height, the blood red zabrak's eyes peered intently ahead of him, even as he waited for further instructions from the Sith master concerning their nocturnal mission, and the rest of the students to get onboard.

IC: Ara Neith

Still watching the other wouldbe Sith, Ara happened to catch the edges of a rather unpleasant thought. This was one of the gifts of her people; unusual aptitudes in telepathy that meant she could pick up things, unless a person was making an effort to hide it. The woman thinking so derisively of aliens was not making any effort to hide it- she wasn't even hiding her expression.

At last, the one all had come here to see began to speak.

I am glad you have all arrived. No long winded speeches for the time being. You all have journey from a far and are eager to begin I am sure. You have all been guided here by the force and rightly so. Your temperment is perfect for becoming tremendous practitioners of the force. So let us begin.

Ara tilted her head slightly to one side, thinking. At least the man was getting straight to the point. That was a refreshing change from so many others Ara had encountered.

As a shuttle arrived, the winds it caused ruffled Ara's shadowcloak...but did not cause anywhere near the motion brought to the clothes of the others. At least I have no hair. Nothing to cloud my eyes, she thought, amused.

This is your first test a simple one. This shuttle will take you back to the temple areas where you will be assigned a specific task to complete before the sun comes up tomorrow. Now everyone if you would please board the shuttle and I will meet you back at the temple in due time.

Ara gave a neat half-bow in acknowledgement, then watched as others made their way onto the shuttle. So impatient... Once there was room, she stepped into the shuttle, making her way past several others to stand near the big Zabrak. "You noticed the human watching you...I know you did," she commented in a dry whisper, pitched to reach him and no others. "She seems to have a problem with nonhumans....wants us 'wiped out', I believe. I thought you might appreciate an insight into the basis of her emnity...motives are always useful." Ara smiled, looking up at the Zabrak to see how he would receive her comments.

IC: Lord Manticore

Ziost, Sith Academy

The blood red zabrak's fiery eyes burned like embers and seemed to glow from within his hood. Lord Manticore regarded everyone with silent scrutiny, and so he noticed when a cloacked female approched him. Within the confines of the shuttle, there was no way to miss her. One glance at her cloack told him that she was no ordinary petitioner, and as she joined him, he recognised her species...and experienced silent, but mild surprise.

Her movements were certain an self-assured. This one moved with purpose, or at least that's how she wished to be perceived in this instance. When she spoke, even though she whispered so only he could hear, she did so with complete confidence, never cowing from Lord Manticore's penetrating stare.

Not even the fellow with the red cape would be able to hear her.

"You noticed the human watching you...I know you did," she commented in a dry whisper. The blood red zabrak kept his fiery eyes focused on her and did not react or comment, but simply listened. He didn't bother to agree or disagree with her, since she seemed to have arrived at her own conclusions, however correct they were.

"She seems to have a problem with nonhumans....wants us 'wiped out', I believe. I thought you might appreciate an insight into the basis of her emnity...motives are always useful."

Lord Manticore almost smiled. The fact that she'd said 'us' was inclusive. Was the Umbaran hinting at an alliance against the xenophobic female? This intrigued him greatly. He knew a thing or two about Umbarans and their innate ability to subtly manipulate others, but Lord Manticore was not overly concerned with that at present. He was far to willful to be easily made anyone's pawn and attempts at such manipulations proved fatal more often than not, as many in the past had found.

Finally, after a moment of appraising the Umbaran female, the blood red zabrak spoke. It was not very often that he was intrigued by other beings, then again, it wasn't very often that he found himself in the company of beings which held common interests, especially concerning the Force.

"Perhaps..." he said in a low rasp, answering her last entreaty. "But I care little for her motives, or the base in which they are founded. She is the weak link in the group. Already she has revealed much, and not to her advantage. If she crosses me personally, it could prove quite fatal."

The blood red zabrak chuckled in mild amusement, but only briefly.

"Perhaps our Sith Master has a use for someone such as she, a purpose. I would not presume to know it, however, I highly doubt it. A weak link risks the whole....and that cannot be allowed."

The would be Sith leveled his fiery gaze at the Umbaran female as he paused mometarily, before continuing.

"Here I shall be known merely as Manticore." the zabrak said by way of introduction. "...and it's your motivations that have caught my interest."

The would be Sith offered a slight tilt of his hooded head to the Umbaran female as a sign of acknowledgement and respect. He grew silent once again, having nothing else to say and patiently waited to hear if the Umbaran female offered a response, although he honestly did not expect one.

IC: Darth Deprecor

Deprecor made his way to the far corner of the shuttle, away from his peers. He remained standing, and he continued to watch his fellow students in silence, his dark eyes drifting about the shuttle, a blank expression on his face.

Soon, the female Umbaran had approached the Zabrak, and struck up what looked to be a private conversation, so Deprecor watched, watched as her lips formed words, shaped around each syllable of her sentence. Though he was not in hearing distance, he was making out the words of their conversation. Then she turned, her back facing Deprecor, he had only caught a quarter of the conversation, not even.

Nevertheless, the fact that the Umbaran had approached the Zabrak hinted at her intentions. He continued to watch, noting any change in the posture of the Zabrak that may also hint to the contents of their conversation.

The Zabrak remained still while the Umbaran spoke, then nodded his head in acknowledgement, also a sign of respect. Deprecor guessed the Umbaran had either introduced herself, or more likely, revealed information to the Zabrak, as the nod of respect from the Zabrak hinted at such. Either way, there were few possibilities as to why she had approached him, and Deprecor wondered what he should make of this little encounter.

He remained silent, and continued to watch the other acolytes as he waited for the shuttle's departure.

"Perhaps...But I care little for her motives, or the base in which they are founded. She is the weak link in the group. Already she has revealed much, and not to her advantage. If she crosses me personally, it could prove quite fatal."

Ara smiled slightly, amused. This Zabrak was an interesting sort. "Quite fatal? There are degrees to fatality?" she asked quizzically, her voice still very quiet. "That's like killing someone just a little bit." There was a dark humour to her comments, delivered in the dry whispery voice that was her norm unless she made an effort to change it.

"Perhaps our Sith Master has a use for someone such as she, a purpose. I would not presume to know it, however, I highly doubt it. A weak link risks the whole....and that cannot be allowed."

It was a fair point. But it was entirely possible, Ara thought, that the purpose of some in the group might simply end up being as experience for others.

"Here I shall be known merely as Manticore...and it's your motivations that have caught my interest."

Ara nodded. "Ara Neith. My motivations...well, I am sure you will understand if I am not in a hurry to give you every detail of my plans to succeed here. I will say, though, quite candidly, that part of this is irritation at the human one's clumsiness, hence my gift to you of her motives, worthless as they might be." Subtle humour rippled through her quiet comments. "For another part...you seem an interesting sort. One could make far worse choices of acquaintances, I am sure." The fact that Ara was being candid in what she did say, though of course she had not given full details, might just surprise this...Manticore.

IC: Dark Sun (Zoist-Shuttle)

As Dark Sun, sat against the seat she had found, she watched as others entered the ship. "Looks like I am the oldest one here so far", she thought to herself. "I hope that is in my favor", but with all sith, age meant nothing. The Cultists always made her work for what she wanted, and payed dearly for when she failed. Nothing will change that fact. Her old Master Sinou, had told her to watch what she did, and what she said around "others". Now was a not the time to loose patience with the other students, that were holding up the ship.

Her hand reached down to feel her sabers, where she had put them, and felt relieved to feel them there. A female alien had come aboard and went to the Zabrak, even though she could not hear a word of what was being said. Dark Sun gathered that they might be talking about her, but, she could be wrong. A human moved a little away from the two and watched them very closely. "Now, this might prove interesting", as she watched all three.

She adjusted herself a little, and pulled her cowl up to her head hide her eyes. To many unknowns here, and she had to wait till she was ready to make her move.
