That's right everyone, we will be moving forums once again. I have no set date as to when exactly we will be moving, but it won't be too long. I am putting the finishing touches on the new board, and we will be making the transition then. I promise, this will be the VERY last time we move forums! Here is a brief FAQ about the transition:

Why are we moving forums?

We are moving forums because an upgraded version of Invisionfree (the current message board system) has been released. It is much better, both on the user side and the admin side. Many new features are available, including a Theme Chooser, and plenty of bugs have been fixed. So, this move is really going to help out.

Pros and Cons of moving.

The pros outweigh the cons, IMO. The cons are that we will lose everything here. That means all the posts, all the threads, everything. You will have to register a new account at the new boards, but it takes a couple of seconds. Quite frankly, that is the only con.

The pros however, are great. The aforementioned new features are great. Also, we will be able to start fresh. Have out own forum, calling it the Acolytes of Darkness Forum, not the Sith Trials. And all these ancient posts from a couple years ago will be gone.

Isn't it possible to just convert the boards and keep the posts?

Actually, yes it is possible. However, I have no control over that. The powers that be at invisionfree are in control of that. I applied in January, and, as you may have noticed, we have not been converted. Also, I am all in favor of starting fresh. It will be nice to have a clean forum to play with.

What do I have to do?

All you have to do is wait, and then register at the new board. I am still working on the new boards. When I am finished, I will turn these boards offline, and post a message that will direct you to the new forums. Also, I will post a message in the AoD thread at the JC.

When will this occur?

Again, I don't have a set date, but expect it within the week (by 3-24-08)

...Well, that sucks.

Two things.
If you're really bound and determined to do this, can we at least get a 'Sith Trials' subsection on the new one? Rest assured, there will be cause...

And mebbe you could fix the AoD roleplaying section so's the character sheet thread can be seen, so the relevant stuff can be copied over.

Sure, there can definitely be a Sith Trials Section.

For further reference. If you can't see a thread that you know is there, then go to the drop down box at the bottom and choose the one that says from "the beginning".
