Yo Small

Nice shoes... oh and nice article!
You and Ginger made us proud! (well, ginger almost made us real proud, but as we know he's Achilles' Heel is noobs with bombs. Oh well)

Let's hope I feel the same love in Rooinekvalley this weekend.

Peace.

Thanx Pietie, Cheese was also there representing so we had 3 of our boys in t8 but like usual play each other throughout Top8  ... Whats with the Boo Jono?

Hey Winslow how you doin' its Kaloyan, just wondering why you chose to put the three frozen solids in your board. And to confirm if Justin Booth won the Ptq cause i heard from my buddies that Jacques du Toit won it.

Stormbind - September 5, 2006 11:56 PM (GMT)
Jacques du Toit won PTQ Kobe and not Justin Booth.

Ill change it asap thanks

Congrats on top8ing man. Its good that the ponies have come back, team scrub were missing dominating them. About the top 8, thats the way it works, the only way that TS loses is by playing each other or losing to randoms with huge bombs (I know) . Congrats to the team on reinstating domination.Oh well, check u next year - peace, Brendan

This was the first time in rl that I didn't draft B/U and it was also the first time I lost a match in CCC draft, coincidence?

BTW, Brendan, it's dunnSKI, with Russian origins, much like yours truly.

Hi Kaloyan. whats up?

Sorry bout the mistake all, the reason why I thought that Jacques was Justin; in the last round I asked Jaco Mostert if he had just played Justin and he said yes, so I put a name to a face, wrong name to the right face... my mistake.

Jacques du Toit won PTQ Kobe on the 2 Sep 2006 B)

The Reason why I put the Frozin solids on board was that when you draft Surging Aethers you want to have a high creature count so you can put alot of pressure on the guy after you combo off by upheaveling his side of the board, you dont want to be sitting with frozin solids in hand.

Also another thing in limited I find optimal is only playing 5-7 card in the spell slots, if your deck is aggro then round about 4 is optimal and if control I sometimes even go up to 9.

My Top 8 draft deck was an aggro deck which needed all those spells I played, so thats why I couldn't add any frozin solids, sure they are an awesome piece of removal but you need to look at the bigger picture when playing limited.

Lemme give u an example, at Nationals your RGD draft deck was very aggro based? I didnt agree with you playing the Lurking Informant, sure its a good card that can win you games, but it also side-tracks you in what you are supposed to be doing with the deck... Just my opinion, Im not critisizing you, just trying to offer you advice that may help in future.

Thanx for the feedback Kaloyan, and keep me updated on your Tour testing, maybe I can offer some feedback on the new draft format to come.

Oh and thanx Dunnsky, check you soon bud... Keep it real and keep scoring the Honeys down there in Durbs...

i think playing certain cards also depends on your play style... i think you need to test the type in certain matchups for you to make a really good answer. But on a lighter note, i was there and i saw in the matchup against ginger the solids were much better and against chees you could have won no matter what... so whatever.

it was a really good deck full of big risks and big rewards, i think it was the biggest comeback in the draft!! cooodoooos!!!!

oh yeah thanks for the willingness to help old bloemies here. too bad i only finished 10th
great article man and thanks for the mention
