[Logan O'Callaghan]

Logan O'Callaghan only came to the Ministry of Magic for two reasons. One to visit his father or when he needed to head down and get one of his intentions approved. The arses always had to make sure they were "safe." Made since, but it was annoying. Of course they were save. Was Logan a kind of guy that would curse a broom or something? Yeah maybe, but he did want customers returning right? Of course! It was not like he needed the money, he was rich from birth, that and his band did well enough for him. The only reason why he even owned this shop was he got bored and needed something to do besides causing trouble. He loved doing this, but it had to be the right time.

So with a loud crack, he appeared in the atrium where a ton of other witches and wizards were going about their day. No one seemed to recognize him yet, which was amazing. People tended to flock towards Logan because of the band. He was wearing his favorite red and black cloak with the hood pulled over his head as he walked down the hall to the lift that would bring him to the correct floor to get this stupid task out of the way for the day.

[Laura James]

It was just another busy day at the Ministry. It wasn't even noon yet and Laura James has already caught two perpetrators for the day. She was only given two assignments for today, which was not enough for the young lady. She was the smartest and quickest to catch a perp. Her talents shouldn't be wasted like that. Apparently the current Head of Auror does not see the talents and power the girl possess. But soon enough she'll be moving to the top in the very near future.

Talk to me like that again and I'll beat the shit out of you for free.

Laura's grip on the man's shoulder had tightened while she lay a quick jab at his sides. Just because she looked petite, young, and a woman does not mean she's weak. She made sure of it with that freebe of a jab. The guy cackled though, only irritating Laura more. She growled then clinched her jaw.

McKay, take this low life to the office. I can't deal with him anymore. He might not make it to the office once I'm through with him.

Laura was actually losing her patience, so giving this scum up to McKay was the best way she could ease her boiling temper. She was no where near the Department of Magical Law Enforcement nor the Auror Headquarters. Hell, she barely even made it through the lift to where she was suppose to be headed. Laura was fuming while everyone walked passed her. There were a few aurors that stopped and asked if she was okay and needed help with anything. Of course she faked a smile and told them that she was fine. She didn't want to attract attention.

Speaking of attracting attention, Laura had calmed down a bit but still looked bothered. Taking a deep breath and collecting herself, Laura quickly turned around, deciding that she should get out of the place and get some coffee or something to lower her stress level. But before she managed to walk, she had bumped into a solid figure. She grunted while being pushed back and fell on her ass. She rubbed on her forehead while she closed her eyes. Pain was obvious on her face.

Oww...I'm sorry...

Laura grumbled and decided to stay on the ground, instead of quickly getting up and losing balance.

[Logan O'Callaghan]

As we all know, Logan could be a little oblivious to what was going on around him unless he just really wanted to so he didn't hear nor see Laura in the Atrium. He was actually just standing patiently waiting for that darn lift that seemed to be taking forever. He watched as a few people walked by him giving him a weird look. He was not sure if it was because they recognized him or if he just looked odd to him. Either way they didn't stop and get on his nerves so he didn't care nor give them a dirty look back. He was bad about scowling, but tried to keep it to a minimum due to his career. How good would it look if everyone knew him for the ass whole that he typically was?

Now when a random person bumped into him he naturally got annoyed, this was Logan and he didn't like people being stupid like that. When he turned around to see who the idiot was, he suddenly realized that this person was not in fact a dumb ass like he expected it to be, but actually the very intelligent and beautiful woman that was Laura James, his old school love. Instantly his jaw dropped out of shock that he was lucky enough to have her run into him. He knew she worked at the Ministry as an, ehhh, Auror, but he didn't expect to literally run into her here.

Oh shite, Laura. I'm sorry. Here let me help you up.

Logan suddenly rushed to her side to help her up. The smile on his face went from ear to ear. Man he was happy to see her. She was definitely one person that he has extremely missed all these years and she was as stunning as ever. But he had always thought that she was the most beautiful girl at school anyways not to mention she always had to kick his ass at every lesson and he was pretty damn smart himself.
We are assuming that she is up at on her feet now so I can make this post longer.

How have you been? It's been way too long.

He was stupid to let their friendship just go away, but he was so freaking busy with his band that he had let every friend that he once had slip through the cracks. He was glad that he was back in King's Cross for a while now and the shop was running well on it's own. Now he could take the time to get his social life back on track.

Laura felt stupid for bumping into someone. She was skilled and great on her feet, but bumping into someone was just embarrassing. She didn't bother to get up just yet. For some reason the floor seemed comfortable at the moment. Okay no, that was not the reason at all. Laura was just stunned to see Logan O'Callaghan right in front of her. She didn't gap though but the look on her face said it all. Who would have thought that she would see Logan, the only guy who still held a special place in her heart, here in the Ministry. Knowing his background and all, it's really a surprise.

Logan...

She said once Logan helped her up on her feet, the tone of surprise was obvious. She couldn't help but stare at him, seeing the familiar face that was always stuck in the back of her head. He still looked the same but looked older over the years. It's in a good way though. He still looked handsome and those eyes...Laura always loved them.

Yes, it's been a long time. I've been good. And uh, you? Touring must be great.

Of course touring must have been great. If it weren't then he would have been back here, right. It was obvious that Laura was happy to see him. The smile on her face would be a huge hint. And apparently he was happy to see her as well. She was now adjusting her cloak a bit, trying to hide this giddy and exciting feeling that's fluttering in her stomach right now. It wasn't a good time to bring back old feelings. She didn't know whether he was here for good. It would save her the trouble and heart ache later.

It was a huge relief to see that the woman in front of him was not just happy to see him, but quite possibly as excited as he was to see her. In the back of his mind he had thought that the only girl he had ever loved hated his guts. He had been a major douche bag in the past, but that was Logan so the douchiness never completely goes away, but then again he was Logan who is bad ass. duh, so how could she ever hate him?

At this point he had completely forgot why he was even at the Ministry in the first place despite the fact that he was still grasping his product with his left hand. It was funny how running into someone as important for Laura could make such a serious, business minded person like Logan forget something so important, but the feelings that he had deep inside were coming to surface. He honestly didn't think he would ever feel like this again. Hell, he had spent the past couple of years using numerous women to try and fill this void he had, but nothing ever came from it. They were just there at his disposable only to be thrown away when he got bored. But Laura on the other hand was different, she always had been. He had to shake these feelings off for now at least and wait, until when he had no clue.

Touring? Yeah, it's been amazing. There is nothing like traveling the world doing what you love..

It's true, it had been fun, everything that he ever wanted in a career, but it was missing something. This is really the reason why he was home. Secretly he was homesick and wanted to reconnect with the people that made his youth so much fun.

What about you? I heard you are an auror now?

Now this was all hearsay to him because he had been so out of touch with everything, but if it was true it wouldn't surprise him one bit. She had always been brilliant and the "good one." So naturally Laura would strive for this position after school. Kind of ironic, but it always was with Logan and Laura. The good girl and the bad guy, but they always made it work, mostly cause Logan was a lying ass hole, but it still worked at the time.

At this point the lift had finally opened and the witches and wizards around them were rushing out of and onto it, but of course he was not paying attention.
