I've been giving MM a try, mostly because I'd hoped it would take care of the itchies for me.
I was ~6 days from my last CO when I first tried MM. I used the Earth 'poo (apply, rinse, repeat) and the Chi conditioner. After detangling, I put in a little too much Shea butter+Jojoba, so I couldn't really tell how my hair responded to the MM. My scalp did still itch, however. However, my scalp hairs squeaked when I rinsed out the second 'pooing.
Then 2-3 days later (I'd have to check in my LHC journal and I am too lazy to do that!), I used Pine Shale, followed by Chi+Honey. This time I didn't use any leave-in. My length seemed to get dry fairly quickly. It didn't feel too bad, but it was staticky 2 days after the wash. My scalp still itched too.
Today (2-3 days since the previous), I used Sea, followed by Chi+Honey. This time I put the Chi+Honey on top of the second round of Sea 'poo and rinsed them together. I also used a little bit of Shea butter+Jojoba on the ends & length after detangling. My hair hasn't dried yet, so no results to report.
I did get some breakage from trying to spread the 'poos to my scalp at the front of my head :( and I will have to see how the length continues to respond in terms of dryness. Assuming each of those tapers off, I think I will continue to use MM for several weeks, but my initial conclusion is that neither my scalp nor my hair likes MM better than the much less expensive routine I was on.
Ta-da! My initial review of MM 'poos and Chi conditioner!
I like the Apple Cider Vinegar and Pine Shale Shampoos best I've had problems with breakage from spreading shampoo lots of different ones I wish they would make all shampoos creamy.Sorry you're not liking it so much I've found a bit of an improvement in my scalp I've always had a problem scalp and really nothing ever seems to clear it completely.I don't put the shampoos on the length
One thing I really like is the Diamond Crystal Mist :) Have you tried it :)
I've given this line a try with so - so results. The poo didn't seem to clean my scalp very well and the chi was really hard to distribute. I figured I was doing more harm than good when trying to detangle because it gave me no slip.
After a few uses my hair felt coated and heavy. I've put MM in the closet for a while thinking I'll give them another try in the future. If not, then you'll see them up on a swap board.
I've not tried the Diamond mist. What do you like so much about it? Or better yet, what benifit have you seen by using it? Oh hell, you know what I mean. ;)
