Name: Leah Renee Fitz
Age: seventeen

Club: Equestrian Team

Family: Anne Fitz- 48- Anne is a riding instructor and, therefore, Leah's coach. She pushes Leah very hard, almost to the point of breaking.

David Fitz-50- David is a horse trainer. He picks out all of the horses that Leah rides, and he also trains horses that people send to him. He is supportive of Leah in her career, but he doesn't push like her mother does.

Mary Fitz - 12 - Mary is Leah's kid sister. She is also an equestrian prodigy. Leah always trys to shield her from their mother's criticism.

Appearance: Leah is a slim girl of medium height. Specifically : 5'6" and 125 lbs. She has reddish-brown hair, which she absolutely loves, and brown eyes. Her muscles are all toned from all of the horseback riding that she does.

Personality: Leah is the picture of perfection. She get's good grades in all of her honor's classes, sticks to the rigid riding schedule designated by her mother, and usually does what she's told. Yes, she may be any parent's dream child, but on the inside, she is not the same. Inside of her pretty exterior, there is an actual person dying to break free of her restraints. She wants to finally tell her mother to stop pushing her and to leave Mary alone. But, she will never get to do these things because she has never been able to sum up the courage to go through with them.

History: Almost as soon as Leah was able to walk on her own two feet, her parents had her in the saddle. Back then, her mom didn't push her, she just wanted her daughter to get the same joy from horses that she did. But as Leah got older it became apparent that she was born to ride horses. She had more talent in her pinkie than her parents had ever seen, including themselves.

Her parents eased her into the world of competetive horse riding. But as she did better and better, her mother got tougher and tougher. She always says that it is just for Leah's good, but it is really because she is living her dream through Leah. [Leah's mom can no longer compete because of an injury sustained shortly after Leah was born.]

When her mother started training her sister, Leah became worried that her mother would push Mary just as hard as she had pushed herself. Leah wasn't sure if the younger girl could hold up under the pressure. She wasn't as tough as Leah had been at her age. Leah desperately hopes that Mary won't break down under the pressure. She also hopes that mary can do what she was never able to do. Stand up to their mother.
