WANT. Although I'm more of a Glock fan
![]() My only problem with this is that it's a big large for a compact self defense pistol! -------------------- |

true but it looks well built... I used the Glock and I don't like it (it's too light the recoil is weird) but I love the SIG P226 <3 -------------------- http://j-par.deviantart.com/ my DA ^^

I'd rather have the Glock 18C in 9x19 or the OTs 33 Pernach in 9x18... though good luck purchasing the first and have fun trying to even find the second.
![]() Pretty neat concept PDW though, though looks bulky as hell. Bit unfair to compare it to handguns though since there are several PDW choices these days. Also, that caliber would be a bit difficult to find in good supply. --------------------

What's funny is how random it is to use .32 ammo locally. The range I go to generally reloads casings, so they aren't always that reliable. In shooting about two boxes of 50, about 10 of the rounds were duds. And it was the same story when I was doing my training for my competency certificate.
I've never fired a Glock, but I've practised loading, unloading and disassembling a Glock 17 (or it might have been an 18?) and a 23 Compact. I didn't like how the 23 fitted in my hand. Being a compact my pinky was kinda just hanging free. It was also a .40, so I dunno what it would be like to fire. I've only shot 9mm and .45 as any form of comparison. Oh, fun story. While applying for my gun licence, the SAPS doesn't know that 7.65 and .32 are the same thing. They also assume Mauser's are rifles, even when the computer says in glaringly huge white on black text PISTOL But that .32 is really compact. I'd like something a bigger calibre for self defence, but that is gonna be a flippen mission to motivate locally! -------------------- |

yes the range is so expensive for crap ammo. what I like about the SIG is just how amazing it is (wow that sounded stupid) umm.. I fired many pistols at the range 1911, glock, SIG, M9, USP 45. and 9mm (needs to get a new hobby ) but the reason I like the SIG P226 is the when you fire it, it comes down exactly where you were just aiming not down not up but level witch for a 40. is damn good. the glock 40. was not even close to that kind of recovery but that's only do to the fact that the SIG in quit a bit heaver then the glock... but don't take my word for it I'm am just an newbie when it comes to pistols but try it out for your self if you have a chance http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpS-3Q03_Bw&feature=related now that's the 9mm version remember the navy seals use this pistol by choice! oh! and here's an image of the two rounds http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2164/231807..._fbf413e1fc.jpg for those that have not seen a 40. you can clearly see that it's made to stop you! -------------------- http://j-par.deviantart.com/ my DA ^^

It was probably a 17, seeing as how the 18 is a full auto handgun. I personally like my Springfield X.D .45. Simple, easy take-down for cleaning, feels good in my hands, recoil is manageable, and the best part, I don't have to hear that whiney creaky noise when I pull back the slide like when I do on a Glock. As for the .40, it's touted as one of the best rounds available in a handgun. The manageability of a 9mm with about the same stopping power as a .45. The only thing better in my opinion would be a .357 SIG, though it's a tad more difficult to find in large quantities. --------------------

mmm nice but i'll stick with the Colt SOCOM .45 rounds, 10 rounds per mag, supressor capability, it's pretty much all i neeed. and for those tough to kill, the Dragunov SVDR is what i like, afterall what can be more epic than a gas powered semi-automatic sniper rifle

I can't find anything concerning an SVDR except for this page...
http://www.storycrafter.com/story/csheet.p...73&storyid=4017 ...and world.guns.ru nor Wikipedia make no mentions of that variant. Also for semi-auto sniper rifles, I like the German MSG-90 myself, though the SVD is a close second for me. --------------------
