Does anyone have Vista on their computer? If so, do you like it? I'm supposed to be getting it in the mail soon. I heard its cool but it has a lot of problems, and that its not as good as it should be after 5 years of development. What do you have to say about it.

Yeah, I heard that is is buggy like most new software. I also heard that Service Pack 1 for Vista is supposed to come out around Fall of the this year. -------------------- Want more? Too bad, I'll be sleeping... meh. *snorezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz*

I am supposed to be getting it in the mail as well but I doubt I'll use it...my dad uses it and he hates it. Nothing really runs on it but before too long I will have to install it.

Hey Fluffy. Didn't you say you got a Gateway for Christmas too. Mine has 2 GB of ddr2 ram and an AMD Athlon Dual Core processor how bout yours? When I get my Vista upgrade CD I will probably wait till around November or later to install it.

it's only good for the graphics
here are lots of problems: 1. It's supposed to be the safest OS on the planet now, bullshit, after 2 days it had been hacked already by 3 people. 2. Requirements that are needed are way too high 3. one day after the release, there was already a patch released to fix a problem *sigh* typical microsoft 4. prize is way too high 5. DHCP is not supported anymore (what type of bullshit is that?) 6. every client in a network needs to be activated in order to work and you have to pay for that... 7. SP1 is already coming out soon, also typical microsoft 8. Windows includes works. That's a lame rip-off version from Office so they can sell you office also for a high price. and many more but I'm too lazy to post more at the moment |

Wow! My PC is ready for Vista, including the graphics card I bought, but I guess I will wait until a good game that comes out for pc requires DirectX 10. Thank you for all that. I was kind of anxious to install it but now I'm sure I'll wait.

There isn't alot of anything avaliable for Vista...my dad is a programmer he is no fool. He says it crap and I agree.
Use it at your own risk, unfortunatley it will have to be used later when XP is rendered obsolete. The problem is that microsoft is wanting to be more and more life Mac OS X. -------------------- %mh%3453%mh%

microsoft always steals from other companies. Normally Vista would've been released about the same time as the Tiger (about 2.5 years ago) but they said it wasn't complete yet and now they stole alot from Tiger.
Also from the Firefox. Just look at the new IE 7.0. Firefox didn't support ftp for some time and guess what the first bug in IE 7 was. Yep, it didn't support ftp no more  Also suddently they've incorperated tabbed browsing. Somethign FF has for a long time already |
