Angel
A heavenly being, often beautiful, that serves God and fights against the demons most of the time. Angels can be killed, and pretty easily, all it takes is a gunshot or two. They just live a really long time if they are unhurt. They have wings but not halos; halos are just a way to express the aura of warmth that surrounds them. The best way to notice an angel is by their eyes. No matter what form they take, they will always have blue eyes. (Of course, a bunch of humans have blue eyes, too.) Military ranks are as follows:
God- Supreme being. He doesn’t really involve himself in the war. (((NPC)))
Arch-Angel- Only second to God in these ranks; supremely powerful and intelligent. They rarely fight in battles but they do on special occasions. Mostly, they direct the armies and make plans.
General- One in charge of each of the five sections of the army. They are powerful, but often hold rivalries among each other (after all, they could be the next Arch-Angel if the current one is killed). They are the ones that make plans on the battlefield.
Lieutenant General- Below generals, second-in command on the battlefield
Brigadier General- In charge of a section of the army
Captain- Leads section of his troops into battle
Specialist- Spy or other position
Soldier- Basic fighting force.
Demon
A Hellish being, beautiful in a sinister way, though they can appear quite normal. They serve Satan, and are on the evil side. They can also be hurt or killed but do live long natural lives. Most do not have wings, and they can make their horns disappear. All demons have red or brown hair. Military ranks are as follows:
Satan- Supreme being. He doesn’t really involve himself in the war. Though he likes to watch it progress; it amuses him. (((NPC)))
High Demon- Only second to Satan in these ranks; supremely powerful and intelligent. They rarely fight in battles but they do on special occasions. Mostly, they direct the armies and make plans.
General- One in charge of each of the five sections of the army. They are powerful, but often hold rivalries among each other (after all, they could be the next High Demon if the current one is killed). They are the ones that make plans on the battlefield.
Lieutenant General- Below generals, second-in command on the battlefield
Brigadier General- In charge of a section of the army
Captain- Leads section of his troops into battle
Specialist- Spy or other position
Soldier- Basic fighting force.
Immortals
Twelve superbeings, designed to oversee the workings of the universe and keep it balanced. They are each in charge of their own small dominion (space, time, life, death etc) and have the power to bend that to their will. They are exceedingly hard to kill, and it would be a bad thing if any one were to die; their ‘elements’ are tied to their being so completely that their ‘element’ would disappear. For instance, if the Immortal of Time were to die, all of time would stop, completely and forever, leaving beings frozen forever. The only Immortal that cannot be killed is Death, if she died, Death would vanish; forcing her to be alive again, then Death would start up again as usual and all would go on. Each of the Immortals has a ‘partner element’ that either compliments or contests their own. The Immortals are not usually romantically attracted to their partner; most of them think of each other as brother and sister. Here is the list of Immortals:
Life-Death (contest)
Space-Time (compliment)
Balance-Chaos (contest)
Truth-Deception (contest)
Luck-Fate (compliment)
Fear-Courage (contest)
Humans
Really, you should know what a human is. Mortal, they live short lives, no special abilities. Deciding factor of the war. If they sin, Demons gain strength, doing something good helps the Angels.
