East Providence
The more scenic side of the city, filled with schools and churches. There are many parks, and it is a rather nice place to visit on a sunny day. College students can often be found scurrying to class, or just meandering down Thayer Street. Watch out if you're in a car, though, many streets are narrow and on steep hills. Not to mention the fact that everyone walks.

This is the very outskirts of Providence, hardly anything is here, except for the prison and golf course, along with businesses.

The Zoo
The Roger Williams Zoo is one of the oldest in the country. It was once rated one of the top ten zoos in the country. It has a great educational program and lots of beautiful animals; from beetles to elephants.

The Planetarium
A little known part of the Zoo, the Planetarium offers a beautiful indoor star show every few hours. It is well worth seeing.

The Park
The park contains a beautiful lake where you can rent a pedal powered boat, along with some beautiful rose gardens, and scenery. It's a great place for a picnic or just to relax.

The Carousel
A beautifully kept wooden Carousel, one of the oldest in the nation. You can still ride on it, tickets are $1 each. It makes a great spot for romance.

A small museum filled with lots of dead animals. Slightly creepy, but they also keep bees there.

The Modern Diner
It doesn't really look too modern, it's a train car stuck to a building. They only serve breakfast and lunch, but they have the best Belgian Waffles ever to grace the face of the planet.
