Honestly. Get to it.

In my personal opinion, it's definitely got the best graphics. I keep oogling at the cutscenes where you can see the details and how smoothly it all flows... really lovely. And so far the battling system's pretty kickass. The characters are pretty unique, the cities and scenery are gorgeous, and the monsters are unique and fun to fight.

I love the voiced over skits, but I'm also annoyed at the voiced-over sections they've now cut out of the regular gameplay instead! I mean, it's still plotline, so just because it's a little less major doesn't mean it should be cut out! I'm not sure whether this is preferred to voiced-over skits or not; but really, someday I just rather wish they'd take their time releasing something and FINISH voicing everything over!
Also, so far the soundtrack isn't particularly impressive to me. Good, but not anything striking, though I suppose I just need to get used to it more and beat the game once or twice before I can really say anything about it.

So anyways, I'm only about 8 hours in and don't get to play very often; but it's definitely fun and an awesome addition to the Tales series.
What about you guys? What do you like/dislike about the characters, gameplay...everything? Discuss whatever you want, and feel free to argue with me. I'm just feeling somewhat talkative today. :>

SGsh, I don't have a 360 ( Yet? I'm going to try for Christmas;;; ) so I can't get it, but it does look really lovely.

I was looking at some youtube things from it the other day, and I found one little detail I really liked -- When you're changing titles, and it changes the outfit, it's rather smooth looking, sure. But like... You can move the character around and all. Their hair moves a tad, as do their clothes. It really nice and smooth looking with how the character is moved.
It's nice things like that~

I dislike not having a 360. And not having cash.

The monsters are harder to kill, but Fatal Strikes are a nice way to polish them off quickly. Altered artes are a good way of continuing FOF-like moves without carrying over the FOF system, though the concept of elements changing artes is still the same. Having Repede as a playable character is awesome, though I'm sad he can't be the onscreen character.

My favorite characters to fight with are Yuri, Raven (Havoc Gale ftw!), Rita (BLAH BLAH BLAH), Repede, and Judith. Judith's hard to use, but she's pretty powerful once you get used to her. Plus she's a lancer. I <33333333 lances and halberds (halberds more thanks to Felius of Wild ARMs XF~). Karol's moves are comical (DESTRUCTO PAIN SHOT), but he's slow. Estelle's slow, though I like her healing artes and light elemental spells. Especially Angel Ring, Holy Lance, and Nightingale.

I like some of the costumes, but most of them make me go bleh. Attachments are tons of fun, though.

I really, really, really wish that Flynn were playable, even if you had to wait until the end of the game to get him. Flyynnnnnnn ilu join my partyyyyyyyyyy. I'd trade Estelle and Karol for Flynn and Nan respectively. Seriously, how much more fun would it be to see Flynn and Yuri in the same party!? We had a taste of that when he temporarily joins you in Hyppionia.

Or jumping to Flynn's team with Sodia and Witcher occasionally would've been fun, too.
