Ok. This could be a no-go area, but nobody has said otherwise.

What's your view on religion. Which one makes more sense? Is there a God or Goddess or Pantheon out there?

*Note: Since This Is A Delicate Topic For Some, Please Respect Each Others Opinions And Don't Come In With "OMGZ U PPLZ SUXXORRSS!11!! COZ EVERY1 KNOWS THERE AINT NO SUCH FING JOO NOOB!" Not Only Does It Make You Look Foolish, But It Can Be Disrespectful*

My view is that there is something there. And that something just cannot be percieved by us...it doesnt mean there IS a heaven or there ISNT a hell...its just my way of thinking outside the chains of Science.

As for which religion makes most sense...I'd say Wiccans and the Pagan nature view makes most sense to me. It's like, there is a God for the times when things are good (summer and spring) and then as the world shuts down for winter there is another one...but then again all around us are other Gods and Goddesses...the whole Pantheistic religions make much more sense to me than the Monotheistic stuff...I just can't see how one lone being managed to make the world.

I'm still undecided totally, but when its science versus faith, science wins tbh.

Imo, we evolved, i dont believe that Adam An Eve psrt of the bible, but i think there might be something, like you said.

Karam is a wuite interesting crack too, still undecided though.

I don't really believe or disbelieve in a god, I don't think it's really vital to our everyday lives. I think existance should be more applied to understanding ourselves and the people around us, seeing as we exist - at least as far as we know. We are concrete and can be studied as a definite thing, as opposed to a divine being - which may or may not exist. I think once we understand who and what we are - and trying to fulfill some kind of purpose, leaving some kind of mark - we can begin to understand more. But what use is spending your life figuring out why you're here if you spend your life doing nothing? I doubt that a humans purpose in life is to find their purpose in life.

Okay, I pretty much only joined this forum to respond to this topic (even though it was created forever ago) and give my opinions on the subject... and because I love rock music.

First of all, I have to agree with a lot of what HüskerDü had to say; I don't disbelieve or believe. But I think heaven and hell is all around us.
Think of the best or happiest experience you ever had... That was a taste of heaven.
Think of the worst experience you have ever had... That was hell.

This is hard for me to explain because it is my brothers theory, not my own.
But he was also saying that we cannot comprehend the essence of God, but there is probably something out there, greater, more intelligent, and more fore-seeing than ourselves.

Religion, I think, was created as a type of system in which to govern the masses of people. Think about all the people who participate in a religion. For the most part religion is used as a source to give people morals and whatever, right? This, making religion as a type of tool to construct our society.
Also, I think the real "religion" should be based on empathy towards other and the ultimate understanding of oursleves and what makes us "human," such as our emotions and our ability to think, ect. Once we tap into this and figure them out, I think we will find the exsistance of God.

I like that theory, it's kinda an agnostic way to look at it. We can't comprehend God, because s/he is too great. But, there's almost a hint of a psychoanalytical level in there, tapping into yourself until you find out why you work, and only then discovering God.

It makes a lot of sense. And yes, many would say that religion is a tool to control. I mean look at the 15th century. Everyone was in line because they feared a hell. Christians have a concept of hell, while Jews do not. Which is where you see the divide. Christians fear their God and Hell, Jews worship and respect their God as there is no hell for them.

What makes me wonder, since this is a part of religion is how Satanism runs on the same law as Judaism. Satanism and Judaism both believe in one fundamental principle: "An Eye For An Eye" back in the old testament. One is an accepted religion, and the other is shunned, but both share a basic foothold...odd?
