Name

Hideki

Age

19

Gender

Male

Class

Trainer

Appearance

His hair is black, but the skin of his frail body is pale. His lips are black and the outlines of his eyes are very dark, too. Two thin stripes of his long hair often hangs down in front of his face. Hideki has quiet large eyes with small pupils, making him look quiet afraid or startled. He has dark shadows below his eyes and other shadows become very dark on his skin, but his face is rather pale otherwise, a great contrast to the black outlines of his mouth and eyes. Actually, Hideki looks a bit like Kuro (an old friend of his), but he does not have any cruel or criminal look about him. It is mostly the contrast of pale and dark, and his eyes that are similar, but Hideki has a frightened look instead of the cruel look of Kuro.

Hideki is a short person and not very strong. He often have a calm, almost sad, look on his face, but he can look really serious, confident or cruel if he want to. Hideki prefers to be a calm and kind person, though. He usually only shows a happy face if he really is happy.

The clothes he wears have colours reminding of sepia. When he was younger he used to wear a kind of brown jacket with a collar that was very long and pointy at his shoulders. He has a similar one now with the long, pointy collar, but it is more yellow than brown. Its arms are wider closer to his wrists. It has three buttons, but it is only buttoned at his waist. Both sides of this jacket ends in long, almost V-shaped forms at both sides of his legs, almost like the shape of the collar, but pointing downwards. The one he used to wear when younger did not have such long flaps, but instead the collar was wider.

Hideki also has something like a brown loincloth shaped as a V at his waist and under this he has white trousers that end where they are tied just below his knees. His shoes are somewhat violet and is made of a quiet soft material. They are shaped long and pointy just above his heel and a little at the front, unless he flap down these pointy edges.

Personality

Hideki is usually a calm person, but can easily be upset or anxious. He can be quiet desperate in some situations and shows his emotions very well, especially with his large eyes. It would take an understanding person to get to know Hideki and understand him well. Hideki himself is understanding and accepts others as they are, probably one of the reasons he get on well with Kuro whom no one else seem to like. He might forgive people if he understands why they do what they do, even if it is a bad thing. Hideki thinks there is always a reason to people's actions, and he often come to discover these reasons. If someone says something and means something else, Hideki is not easily fooled by that.

Hideki is careful, but also somewhat unstable and easily becomes worried. He does not seem to be a very happy person, but as long as there are people who understand him he will be happy. He cares for his friends and hopes they care for him as well, but he often thinks that he is unneeded amongst others. One of the things Hideki does not like is being alone, but with strangers all around him. Too many people will make him anxious. Then he'll rather be all alone. Hideki is shy and will usually not speak unless spoken to, so he doesn't have many friends.

Like many others in his home city, Hideki has a feeling of that he has to go forward, to make progress. His people are very determined to do what they feel they are meant to do and work really hard. Hideki is a little confused person, but he tries his best.

Hideki is very fond of sweet things to eat. Sometimes he even eats just sugar, especially after he came to The House.

Past

He lived in a large city with his father, who was a very important person there. However, Hideki's father was very occupied with his job that he forgot to care about his son. The boy was seldom outside and he used to stand in front of the large window and look at the city, the people and the Pokemon. He had no Pokemon of his own though. His father later constructed an artificial Pokemon to him. He called it Amiga, meaning "friend".

The Rocket Dan later started a war and the city was in terrible danger. The Rocket Dan took Hideki away and his father was so frightened for his son's sake, revealing he really cared much more about the boy than he had shown before. The old man was desperate, but there was nothing he could do for Hideki.

Hideki was taken to a base in a black factory. Most slaves and prisoners were kept there and the place had the smell of annihilation. The large metal gate was open and they dragged Hideki toward that house of destruction. There were many people, frightened people. Those who tried to run away, young or old, were killed by the Rocket Dan's guard Pokemon.

They took Hideki to a lab to use him for experiments. Hideki had a special mind, unstable but strong, and maybe that was why they chose him. There must have been others they had used for this, but maybe they had not survived, or maybe they had just gone so insane there was nothing left to do but to kill them. Hideki could not remember all they did to him. His memory of these events is very blurry, maybe because of drugs or that he had been asleep. But he knew that he had been clear awake some moments, but still he could not recall. He guessed it must be as when you see something you can't possibly imagine and when it leaves your sight it leaves your mind, too. Something like that.

He remembered they had transfered some powerful energy into him, and although he was not sure he could remember how that felt he knew it had been terrible, almost driving him insane. Then, he went out of control; maybe he was insane. This dark energy had given him strong psychic powers and he destroyed almost everything around him. He turned his hate at the Rocket Dan and destroyed all the Rocket Danin and their scientists he could see. So much hate and power he could not control himself. Hideki went through the building to annihilate all his enemies. When he was outside, he escaped.

He returned home, the place where he felt safe. But seeing his terrible power, that also radiated from him very strongly, his family and friends did not want him around. They did not hate him, but was afraid of what he had become. The enegy was so strong that it could bring madness to those just being too close to him.

Being left alone and feeling forsaken, Hideki was overwhelmed by the intense sadness and despair this power brought to him. It was after all based on dark feelings such as hate and sadness. It was too much for him and he did not have the will to do anything anymore, not even have revenge on his enemies. The Rocket Dan found him this way and he did not resist when they took him away again. Hideki's will power was almost gone.

Because he had been so dangerous and out of control and because they doubted they could get him to co-operate, the Rocket Dan put Hideki to sleep until they knew what to do with him. To kill him would be a waste. They soon decided to try to reduce the intense energy they had given him. If he escaped again with such power they would never recapture him. It was his friends forsaking him that had made Hideki vulnerable. It would probably not happen again.

When the boy woke up he did not have that strong power, but he still felt some of it within him. It made him feel sad and alone, and more anxious than he had been before. He had always been a shy and careful person, but now he could barely speak. So frightened he was and still he could not find out how to use the little of the power he still had, if that would ever help him. What had they done to him?!

Later, there was an incident (maybe because of one of their other 'research objects') and he saw his chance to escape, but he had nowhere to go. Home? They did not want him over there anymore and what if his parents had been captured, too, or maybe they were dead. Where would he go?

There was a place where many lost people ended up, and that was The House. Hideki hoped someone there could help him. In The House he met another boy, named Kuro, but he was much tougher and more confident than Hideki. Kuro did not look like a nice person and he could be very cruel and cause a lot of trouble, but he became a good companion to Hideki anyway. The only companion Hideki had now.

This was very dangerous times, especially with the war against the Rocket Dan, so there was no way they could leave The House without a Pokemon. So, it was good that there was a Pokemon lab there. Hideki's old Pokemon was left in the city, and he doubted he could find her again. In The House they met Dr. Shiro who would give them each a Pokemon. They would train at The House, but Dr. Shiro made them meet quiet strong monsters. But then, maybe the world outside was an even more terrible place now. Many people never left The House; either they had no place to go, or they were too weak to live in the perilous world outside. Kuro had also told Hideki that Dr. Shiro locked people up in the house, but maybe there was a reason for that. Hideki was not sure, and it frightened him.

Hideki was often very sad. There was nothing that could make him happy anymore. Kuro's jokes, althought they were a little harsh, and the mean tricks he played upon people, would cheer Hideki up a little, but the anxious boy felt alone and felt he had nowhere to go. He did not have confidence in himself any longer. He did not even spend much time with the Pokemon, because he did not think he would be strong enough to have a Pokemon and he was afraid of the Pokemon he had to fight.

Dr. Shiro knew Hideki could not become a Trainer with these thoughts about himself. The boy's anxiety and doubt of himself was not good to have as a Pokemon Trainer. How would he ever get anywhere? So, Dr. Shiro took Hideki to a room. What else was there to do? Either Hideki would remain the depressed and unstable person he was and be rotting in his house with others who walked around like it was the end of the world, or he would become strong, maybe like Kuro, though Kuro was a rather annoying person. But the risk was that Hideki could not make this. Whatever had happened to him before, this could be what finally destroyed him. But there was nothing else to be done about him.

So, when Hideki was taken to this room he had to fight a Pokemon. The Pokemon was a dark, shadow-like monster, which origin was unknown, but it was said to have been created from a dimensional glitch. If Hideki survived, wouldn't he be more confident? If he was still sane, that was. The crazy Pokemon professor always liked to see how far people could go.

Hideki was locked up in that room and the Pokemon came out from a dark hole. The floor turned red as blood as the dark monster closed in on him. Black thorns came up from the floor and clutched Hideki, who screamed but there was no use. No one would help him.

He later woke up, but he was very absent-minded and would not talk to anyone. He was sitting in his room in The House, on a bed, close to the corner. He sat there for a very long time. He had survived, but what was to happen to him? He was more frightened and sad now, but he started to change. Hideki knew Kuro often laughed at horrible things and things he was afraid of, maybe to hide his fear. Or could fear really become that strong? Was it what happened to Hideki now? All the fear, sadness, despair and being lost. He could not take it any more! Hideki started to smile, and then he laughed. Instead of the intense fear or worry in his eyes, they glowed with madness.

Kuro was very surprised by this unexpected behaviour of Hideki, but soon he realised he started to like it. Wasn't Hideki a little like himself now? Except that Hideki was totally insane.

Dr. Shiro was glad to see Hideki more happy, and thought this was much better than the old Hideki after all.

But although Hideki was happy in his mad way, he was still sad. Sometimes, he would not have the energy to laugh any more and he felt very alone and lost. He could not understand why, because all that had happened to him seemed beyond understanding. It was hard to remember and to understand why it had happened. He was not even sure he remembered who he himself was any longer. Where did he come from? The city, yes. Had he liked it there? He thought so, but why was it gone? Why was he kept in this house, watching the moonlight shining through the bars of the large window in his room?

Qualities

Although he is anxious and confused, Hideki is a very clever person. It is hard to trick him, unless his mind is too exhausted to notice. A good example of this is when Dr. Shiro told Kuro, who had seen a monster, that they could not have people running around being chased by dream monsters from other dimensions, making Kuro feel paranoid. Hideki realised Dr. Shiro had never said anything about there not being a monster, only complaining about Kuro being chased by one. Dr. Shiro could easily make people think they are mad, but Hideki is not fooled that easily. Instead, the youth is so unsure of himself that Shiro was still able to make him believe things he wanted him to believe. Hideki rather let other people take care of things, but if no one can or if he is alone, Hideki can manage more than he belives he can. But leaving the charge to others sometimes means to give the power to others, which can get Hideki into situations where he does not want to be, like turning himself over to someone he should stay away from.

Being in The House, Hideki fought an Aku-Type Pokemon and went insane. He sometimes returns to a more sane state, but when things get too hard for him he will either go crazy and laugh or be very sad and afraid.

Hideki is also somewhat paranoid, and both white-coats (doctors) and black-coats (Rocket Danin) frighten him. He thinks they are still looking for him.

The Insane Hideki

When Hideki is in his state of insanity, often when things turns out to be too much for this anxious boy, he will have a large smile and his eyes will stare almost like Kuro's eyes, but instead of serious they will look crazy. His hair will finally point in various directions and be very dry, as if he has been shocked or something. Even if he's afraid and looks frightened he will still look insane. He will change mood very quickly, from laughing to weeping, from sad to happy. Hideki is still a kind person, but it takes a patient person to deal with him when he is like this.

Napoleon XIV's Bio

He is a blue penguin who hates to wear a strait-jacket (so hopefully he won't need to do that). He comes from a Pokemon home he calls the Pokemon Funny Farm (the real name is probably just the Pokemon Farm). While living there, there was also a monkey he was very angry with, since this monkey never listened to him and only got him into trouble. Napoleon XIV wants to have revenge whenever he finds the hairy thing.

By a mistake - it has to have been a mistake! - Napoleon was moved from the farm to a Pokemon laboratory, where he would later be picked by an unlucky Trainer named Hideki.

Napoleon XIV will prove to be quiet troublesome when he starts to believe his Trainer has left him, even if it's he himself who has run away. He is also afraid to be put back at the Pokemon Funny Farm (with the basketweavers). Because he can be so troublesome, it is more a risk that the Trainer himself will eventually be put somewhere. Napoleon constantly believes there are people who are coming to take him away.

Hideki's Adventure!

Although confused and lost, he finally recovered somewhat from the terrible encounter in the room. Hideki somehow convinced the people in The House he could take care of himself and they let him go. Dr. Shiro realised this was wrong, and sent his assistants to look for Hideki. But the youth found his way to Taimu, and since both Shiro's men and the Rocket Dan are looking for him, he is very afraid and doesn't trust anyone. Will he finally find a place to hide? A place where he is safe?

He stumbled across a little town, and this both shocked and gladdened him. He had not been ready to find a place with people - people who could actually be looking for him! - but he felt relieved that he did not have to scurry around amongst the wild monsters any more.

The poor youth did not have much money on him, and wondered how he could make it much further. The Pokemon Centres had always been kind to give him shelter, but he felt very unsafe at such places, for maybe someone knew him and wanted him sent back to The House, where Dr. Shiro was probably missing him. But in this small town, could possibly anyone even have heard of him?

Hopefully not, so he walked around a little confused, looking to see if the place seemed safe. There was a larger building in the town, maybe some other kind of centre, and as he walked past that house, the door suddenly flew up and a little blue penguin rushed out like a rabid rabbit.

Hearing a voice coming from the house, Hideki was sure someone must be coming out to catch the little Pokemon, and it was then he realised that the building must be a Pokemon laboratory, and that meant . . .

There are white-coats inside!

These kind of men in white coats must be interested in Pokemon alone, but Hideki was no less frightened, so he followed the escaping monster, but happened to trip and fall right on it.

The Pokemon was caught under him, so the boy sat up to let it free, but also curiously grabbed the penguin, looking at it. It seemed frightened at first, but later calmed down; maybe it was not so scared of him after all. Very soon, however, it began to point and wave its arms. Hideki looked around then; could it possibly be that the Pokemon Professor had found them . . .
