You can see that there's a lot of room behind the front fascia.
Install of head units and more is easy.

cool. just want to see if your HU is mounted flush with the panel. B)

M|key,
No it sticks out about 1/2 inch from the fascia. Can't be helped, since the thing needs room to tilt and also to detach. Not that I do either anyway, but well...
Good point, I should look into pushing it further in this Sunday, flush could be nicer! Thanks mate!
m|key - September 16, 2008 07:16 AM (GMT)
mine is not flush either. reason given is the same.
it will look sooo original if the HU is flush with the panel.

blacksheep,
appreciate you could check the price of the wood trim for me if it is not too troublesome..
i would like to keep the existing HU but wanted do fix a GPS/bluetooth/rear camera enabled screen on the top compartment.

Elwe,
Can do. I think the trim is incorporated into some internal body panels as well. Not sure about this but will check.
I replaced the tail lamps and the head lamps after my car was vandalised earlier this year. The tail lamps cost SGD$540 and the head lamps.............
Car was painted as well as the vandal also scratched my car.
What I have for the car is not bad, it fits really well and looks very cool. However, I should have opted out as the screen perform badly in the sun and the GPS is unreliable due to software faults. They have a new version out now but I won't bother anymore.
I think there are a few options out there with screens that can fit. The trick is the fascia fit for the screen. But I thnk that may be a Nissan part that is possible to get. I will ask about.
Give me some time though. This week at work is becoming very demanding....

wow.. your car got vandalised? sigh...
