Guys,

I am thinking of changing the front brake pads out of the TCEAS. It obviously cheaper to do it outside. TCEAS bills me almost RM400 to change the pads. i think its not worth it.

Have any of you guys changed your brake pads externally out of TCEAS? Do advice the price, the type of Brake pads?

thanks.

You can buy the pads yourself online which is cheaper, or just get any workshop outside to do it. I got my Bendix Metal King for about RM200. Anyway i do not recommend Metal King, it eats up your discs quite quickly and it's very dirty to your rims (brake dust).

i am actually in the midst of a discussion and argument with TCEAS for Change of Disk Brakes and its pads for free. At this juncture, my car brakes are so severe that its no longer safe to drive >80km/hour.

Will keep you updated on my quest.

thanks.

Hi bro, what happen to your front brake?

My Front Disk Brake warped hence damaging my brake pads which in return made my car function like a Cheap Washing Machine during brake application.

The whole car just vibrated severely to an extend, you don't feel safe driving it. I had to write a rather nasty email to Nissan Corp, Japan with Tan Chong Motors in CC to gain some attention and momentum to resolve my issue. Well, my cry was heard and the TCM shipped me a brand new set of Front Disks and a new set of Brake pads for change.

Just got back from the service center, so far the brakes are working like normal. So for those who are out there, please pay attention to your brake operation. It is being manufactured with a soft material which has tendency to warp in many circumstances namely:

1. Splash of Water
2. Water Pot Holes
3. Frequent Car Wash after a long drive.
4. simple exposure to rain

I was subjected to the above condition knowing or un-knowingly. What ever it is, if the material of the disks are good, you would normally not have such issues.

So my piece of advice, try to be careful and always seek technical assistance should any issue arise. It the safety of the family and the car at stake.
