Well, I know the island was supposedly evacuated, but I couldn't help but notice a lack of wildlife there. Other than a few birds in "Onslaught Redux" none appear. It was just odd since, considering the scarcity of buildings it's unlikely all animal life was hunted and killed prior to the arrival of the SOTF contestants. Opinions?

That is true, I guess the idea of temporarily roleplaying animals was never thought of or seemed to risky an idea for some. Or we could just give them the benefit of the doubt due to the fact that a previously inhabited island with such small size probably wouldn't have too much variety when it comes to fauna.

I'd imagine that most of the animals that do live on the island would scared into hiding by gunfire or the mere presence of humans. But who knows, should we consider it fortunate that no player has thus far been eaten by a bear or some other predatory animal? (Though it would make for a creative death...)

However, given the presence of all the dead bodies lying around for at least 5 days or more, you'd think that the island would have some kind of major vermin problem.
