|Survival of the Fittest > General Discussion > Introduce Yourself...|
|Posted by: d0ddi0slave Oct 10 2005, 09:00 PM|
| Well, we've had an influx of new members as of late, and many of us probably don't know each other. So here's your chance to make your impression on the rest of us. Tell us who you're handling, what you want us all to call you, and a little bit about yourself (not breaching any like, rules you may have about privacy, of course). And then tell us all what character you think you're most like in BR.
|Posted by: Bloody_Fists Oct 10 2005, 09:16 PM|
| Most of you know me here, most of all mismatched and elise. I want everyone to call my FREAK! No offense but i find it annoying when people call me bloody or by my real name, so freak it is ok? remember
freak....ok got it into your mind.
and yeah i play stevan hyde, the guy with the spas 12. He was most part based on me, with the exceoption of being a transfer from england thats just about it. i dont think im like any br character but as of late ive slightly reminded myself of niida kasuzumishi or something, crossbow guy. Mainly because ive rp'ed stevan thinking about who is watching the game, How famous he is out there and Does he have nicknames, people betting on him, any group of girls looking him up on the sotf site thinking "Omfg that guy is kool" mostly about the fame. I dunno how that came around, i suppose im just developing my character without thinking.
So thats my story so far....
|Posted by: Swoosh Oct 10 2005, 09:17 PM|
| Nifty idea!
I'll go, methinks. Um, I'm Katie. Although I'm dumb and put my character name as my screen name. I'm considering getting a new account, cause it's really annoying me actually. Um, yeah, anyway. I'm 17 and I'm Welsh. NOT English. But I do live in England, sadly. *le sigh* Y'all can call me Elise, or my other online alias which is Swoosh. (don't ask.)
Oh, and I was Elise, and at the moment I'm Callum (although not for long), Angharad and Mallory. END!
As for the BR thing, my community thing said I was most like http://www.livejournal.com/community/battle_rating/11554.html#cutid1, although I personally think I'm more like Nobu after my friend put forward a very convincing argument
|Posted by: d0ddi0slave Oct 10 2005, 09:21 PM|
| Well I can't help but add my own bit in.
My name's Adam, I'm 19 years old and I play...Adam. Yes, I ripped myself off to be a character in SOTF. So sue me. I think I've played him pretty well. I'm a Canadian, from just outside of Toronto, so naturally i'm a HUGE Leafs fan, although I'm a fan of hockey as a game, so I'll watch any game that's on, really.
My past characters include Cole, Art, Andrew, and I currently play Adam (who's my main guy), Amanda, and Eddie (although I think his time for the game will be short), and in the future I'm going to be playing Sidney.
The BR_Rating community said I was like Shinji Mimura, so who am I to argue with ten people?
|Posted by: Sephy Oct 10 2005, 09:29 PM|
| Konnichiwa! I'm Sephy, my real name is Danielle, but everyone except my parents call me Sephy.
I'm 17, English, a rabid RP, Jrock and yaoi fangirl, I speak English, French (tho my french is a little rusty at the moment ) and I cna speak simple Japanese, although words with mroe then 5 sylabbles still confused me o.o
I rp as Daisuke, who's part based on Japanese rock band Dir en Grey's guitarist Die, and part my imaginary friend when I was little
I'm a cross between novel/manga Kiriyama, i'm the quiet one with all the answers sat at the back of the class, and a stereotypical Japanese school-girl "Ai shiteru Gakuto-san!"
If anyone hangs around the battleroyalefilm.net forums, i'm the resident nutter and fangirl-mod Seraphim Princess
|Posted by: LadyMakaze Oct 10 2005, 09:33 PM|
| Name is Sarah. Age, sweet sixteen. Canadian, like Adam, except I live in along West Coast. Interests include drawing, writing, music, and extreme violence. I have rather violent and abusive tendencies, but I'll be honest: I'm really a nice person. ^__^ Really.
My main character is Madelaine Shirohara, and believe it or not, she is based off of both myself and a fantasy character that I made up and use frequently in fantasy RP's, named Makaze. I really wanted to use her in SOTF, but due to the nature of the RP, I adapted her a bit specifically for SOTF. Just a little fun fact there, peeps.
Other characters include Daphne, the newly registered Chance, and the late Ash and Nanami.
Welcome all you newcomers! And hello again to the oldies. *tosses cheesecubes and confetti into the air*
|Posted by: Toukan Oct 10 2005, 10:18 PM|
| Heyo everybody! The name is CJ, but a surprising number of people call me Toukan offline too. I'm seventeen, live in Texas, U.S.A. (just moved here and it is officially horrible), am a senior in high school, love DDR, and completely addicted to anything and everything having to do with BR. I love cosplay, hell I'm even cosplaying to my senior prom (a formal dress version of the FMA military uniform). I draw way too much for my own good and I like to show it off because it boosts my rather low self esteem (I have scans, just ask!). I'm one of the crazies who likes BR2, but it's mainly because of the fanfiction and the camo. This afternoon while riding home I decided "hey, I'm going to see if I can re-write the BR2 novel and make it worth reading". Not that I've ever read the BR2 novel, but I've heard it sucks and my current writings have gone down the hole so it'll give me something to do while bored out of my mind on the bus (or in class). If it gets off of it's feet I'll make sure to type it up and let you guys know.
I'm still waiting for my character, Clare Shephard, to be approved because no one has given any indication that they've looked at it since I did the additions that were requested. If It still isn't sufficient PLEASE let me know. I can't change it unless I know what is wrong.
|Posted by: d0ddi0slave Oct 10 2005, 10:22 PM|
| Just to interject, I"m pretty sure that the chaarcter will likely be approved, just keep in mind that we're sort of going through some staff changes at the moment, so...just be patient.
|Posted by: Toukan Oct 10 2005, 10:26 PM|
|No problems, thats what I figured. ^_^ I was just having a moment of "HOMG! Must roleplay!", but I'm more patient than that usually.|
|Posted by: asano Oct 10 2005, 10:52 PM|
| Hi. >>;
I'm Drew, known as Asano on line. ^^
15 years old, live in Michigan [;.;]. I love RPing, and I love BR, so, of course, I already love this site. ^^
Born in CA, barely lived there a year before moving east. Settled in MI before I was 2, I think. ...I wanna live in California so badly...
...Yeah, I'm a sophomore. Not a freshie, Takara. ><
I tend to be very happy and am rarely overly serious....I can have trouble taking school work seriously *cough* >>
My love for RP stems from my love to read, I think, so yay.
Now, enough about me, cause I'm lazy.
I have 3 characters approved and awaiting movement to roster. Ken, Sergey, and Toby.
Toby's my main one [read the siggeh XD], and is close to me, but with some differences. >> Sergey's the guy I've always wanted to RP.
Ken's a mistake I'll kill in some funny, imaginitive way when he starts SOTF...XDD
Yeah, mostly, I'm painfully nice. @@ Sergey's my first ever departure from said niceness.
As I've said a bit, this should REALLY get its own forum area. >>;
|Posted by: riserugu Oct 11 2005, 12:21 AM|
I'm Zilya, Riserugu to the online world.
I'm twenty-years-old, and I currently live in Swansea, Wales with my husband, and the bundle of animals we own. I'm Russian/German, and speak both German and Russian along with English.
Was born in Leningrad, Russia. Though it is now known as St. Petersburg to everyone as Russia was still the USSR at the time I was born. I lived in Leningrad til I was four when my father left and then we all moved to Tiksi, a very cold place in northern Russia where to reach it you have to travel by plane as there are no roads that lead to the town.
But I really wouldn't want to see why anyone would want to visit... quite the boring little port town. And because it was above the artic circle, the sun rise and sun set times where very... odd.
Tiksi at two-o-clock in the morning.
I'm in my second-year of medical school, and I'm currently training to become a doctor.
My characters include at the moment Martyn Ferdinand, Glenn and Fredrik Hughes. Fred actually being my husband's character, but as he's too busy with work I've sort of tack him on, and my late characters Hawley Faust, Edward Rommel, and Blaine Eno.
And that's about it for me.... Yes.
|Posted by: Kuze Oct 11 2005, 12:54 AM|
| Well I'm Kuze owner of Heather Pendergaset(last name i mispelled), Shinya Motomura, and the Late Kiyoko Asakawa
I started using this moniker late last year when i really got into BR (using the last name of how Toukan put it "Insulin girl")
and thats all your getting out of me
cottage cheese smoke screen away!
|Posted by: Swoosh Feb 23 2006, 12:55 PM|
| *bumps this up* Seeing as we've had like, 10 new people in the past week... maybe there should be somewhere to introduce themselves.
Kai, are you going to make a new person introduction forum thing?
|Posted by: Kaishi Feb 24 2006, 02:46 AM|
|A little bit before version two begins, since there's no point when most of the new memebers are going to leave anyway.|
|Posted by: Slayer Feb 24 2006, 01:51 PM|
|Really I don't see the point in people registering since they can't really do anything anymore thanks to the good ol' Character Cap.|
|Posted by: ZigZaggerty Feb 24 2006, 10:13 PM|
| I'm still here, I'm just biding my time until v2.
I'm fourteen, and the school crazy. Most people are afraid of me >:D
I'm an avid RPer, and I'm Canadian! That's it for me, other than all that I'm not that interesting.
|Posted by: yakusoku92 Feb 25 2006, 05:35 AM|
| call me yakusoku or whatever you wish just make sure it isnt anything negative. i'm waiting for v2 i hope v1 ends soon so i can start RPing.
i'm a music fan well i'm into mostly Jpop and Kpop and I'm Canadian too.
|Posted by: d0ddi0slave Feb 25 2006, 05:36 AM|
| Canadians = fucking rule.
Just, um, thought I'd pop that in there.
|Posted by: riserugu Feb 25 2006, 06:08 AM|
Goodness, the Canadians are starting to take over the board. Just used to be Maka and Dodd... now look where's it going.
Ah, joking. Love ya'll, even if you did beat Russia in hockey.
|Posted by: Slayer Feb 25 2006, 06:12 AM|
|There's still only four of them. I agree though, Canada's great. I might move there if I can get through all that paperwork (even then, I'd need a hell of a lot of research if the Canadian immigration tests are anything like the American ones).|
|Posted by: d0ddi0slave Feb 25 2006, 06:25 AM|
| Riser = OUCH...
I wasn't too affected, like the rest fo the country cuz I didn't see a single damn game.
|Posted by: riserugu Feb 25 2006, 06:39 AM|
| *shrug* I watched when I could I saw the women's game where we lost to Canada, and then the men's game where we beat Sweden. That's about it... I enjoy the figure staking more. XD
And let's hope to become a citizen of Canada isn't anything like the one in the US (my friend told me it was hell) then again, the one in the UK isn't that fun to go through, though I don't have to wait as long as someone else because I'm married to a person with UK citizenship; but pretty much have have to hold a indefinite leave to remain in the UK, legally live here for three years, been outside the UK for no more than 90-days in a one year period, take that Life in the United Kingdom test or go to combined English langage and citizenship classes. But because I have no time to go to classes, I'm taking my test in April. And from what I hear they're some random questions like.
-Who is the prime minister?
-How do you pay a phone bill?
-What does it mean to be a good neighbour?
Putting firecrackers in thier mailbox is probably not the answer they're looking for with this question, if I'm asked it.
-How did the United Kingdom come about?
-When was Britain last invaded?
-When was the Act of Union?
|Posted by: Sephy Feb 25 2006, 01:51 PM|
| O_O *pets Riser* I'm English and I can only answer the first one of those questions...
When your neighbour pays your phone bill they're a good neighbour
Man..it should be questions like "3 reasons why Chavs are the scum of the earth"
or simply "Do you hate Chavs and think England is the best football team?"
If Yes-you're in!
|Posted by: Bloody_Fists Feb 25 2006, 04:03 PM|
|They should give it a bit of a BR theme. If you cant hunt down and kill a chav in the wilderness with nothing but a safety pin.....Your in.|
|Posted by: Swoosh Feb 25 2006, 04:21 PM|
Hahaha, my friend Safa just did that test. (she's from Iraq). Apparently they asked her stuff about what was on Corraination Street. x___X
Some of the questions they asked I didn't have a clue though. When DID we last get invaded? 1940, around that time, ne?
|Posted by: Megami Feb 25 2006, 04:23 PM|
|I have a better question: why does it matter? S'not like you're being occupied now or anything, is it? Especially on ours, it asks questions that half of the American population probably doesn't know.|
|Posted by: Slayer Feb 25 2006, 04:36 PM|
|Hey, with the current state of things, I don't blame them from trying to keep Americans out.|
|Posted by: riserugu Feb 25 2006, 04:47 PM|
| Actually abou the invasion question, when I ask one of the teachers about it they said that the last time Britain was invaded was in 1066, although, there was a failed invasion in 1797 in Fishguard by French forces.
I'm just like... right.
Though I've been reading up about this test, and it said some guy had suggested that people from ethnic minorities in Britain should not be considered truly British until they supported the England cricket team, as opposed to the country of their or their ancestors' birth.
Does Russia even have a cricket team? *ponderponder*
|Posted by: Swoosh Feb 25 2006, 05:01 PM|
Hahaha. Wales doesn't have a cricket team. Why should I support a team of filthy foreigners? People'd start thinking I was actually English myself!
Think it's about time that people realised that British =/= English. *growls*
And dude, didn't WW2 count as some sort of invasion? Surely...
|Posted by: Sephy Feb 25 2006, 07:46 PM|
| Maybe they meant Succesful invasion o_o
Coranation Street? seriously? XD i'd fail at a UK citizenship test
I don't support the English cricket team, I think the onyl thing you need to do to be british is to be able to make a good cup of tea
|Posted by: Bloody_Fists Feb 27 2006, 03:58 PM|
|Fuck coronation street, Now hollyoaks, theres a completely different story.|
|Posted by: Zero Hakaru Feb 28 2006, 03:12 AM|
| Um, hello there everyone. It's a pleasure to meet you all.
I was looking for a good RP to join (as my RPer's itch was driving me insane) though sadly I can't join this one because of the cap.
Ah well, I'll stick around for v2 while taking notes for a BR d20 template I wish to create. =3
|Posted by: Megami Feb 28 2006, 03:30 AM|
|Well Zero, welcome to SOTF! You can always make use of the "Other RP" thread to cure you're boredom until Version 1 comes to a close. :-)|
|Posted by: Zero Hakaru Feb 28 2006, 03:32 AM|
I could. ^^
While slipping in subliminal messages of a BR movie series/remake I wish to do. >> << XD
Well, I'll check it out. *moseys on down to Other RP*
|Posted by: Swoosh Feb 28 2006, 02:58 PM|
|Hopefully V#1 should end soonish. ^___^|
|Posted by: Zero Hakaru Feb 28 2006, 07:37 PM|
|Take your time. I was convinced to change my BR movie plans (story really, we're doing a new plot) so I got some work to do, I'll just use Ver #1 for some inspiration. ^_~|
|Posted by: d0ddi0slave Mar 1 2006, 12:16 AM|
| We definitely have our fair share of memorable characters.
|Posted by: Cycokiller Mar 4 2006, 08:01 AM|
| OI OI OI! My stupid username is CycoKiller, but you kind folks can call me Cyco. I'm not a big fan of manga, but Battle Royale deeply excited and disturbed me! Then I saw the movie...DEAR GOD. I LOVE BR. From what I've read, this forum has some talented writers. I look forward to v2, and especially to writing/playing a kickass story/RP with you boys/girls.
P.S: I am a total greenhorn when it comes to these RP things, so please bear with me.
|Posted by: d0ddi0slave Mar 4 2006, 01:26 PM|
| Welcome to the forum. I'm sure that V1 will likely end soonish, a la end of March/April. So until then, hang around, chat us up on AIM, join into threads in the other RP section, read our official Wiki, and...yeah, just enjoy.
|Posted by: Paperdoll Mar 20 2006, 11:50 PM|

You can just call me Butcher since must people call me that anyways. I have been lurking already this forum for while now trying to learn as much as I can about it and now feel ready to start posting on it. I can't wait for v2 to started up.
|Posted by: Bloody_Fists Mar 23 2006, 02:45 PM|

Hey I just haven't been posting here instead I have been lurking around.
|Posted by: Cycokiller Mar 25 2006, 05:47 AM|
| I don't know how I thought it would be cool to have an eternal post count of 1 anyway...whatever; the point is that the new blood is arriving for v2, and chaos will surely ensue.

| Hi, my name is Adam, and I'm an alco-erm, wrong board, I guess.
I am Adam, I'm a moderator, and...I'm frequently online. So like...any questions/concerns, PM me if you're afraid of the administration.
I'm also responsible for SOTF's resident hero. Not too bad at the whole 'writing' thing, either.
|Posted by: Croco Mar 27 2006, 06:52 AM|
|Hey everyone...my name is Jason, though I often go by the name "Croco." I'm 22 years old and live in Michigan...uh, what else? Oh yeah...if not for Megami, I wouldn't know about the wonderful fucked-upness that is SOTF, so thanks! I love to RP, though mostly on real-time MUCKs or IMs, and I can't wait to unleash a rather...unique character for V2. What else...oh, I love sports; my favorites are football, hockey(LET'S GO RED WINGS!) and auto racing...I also love to write stories and poetry, and have in interest in various cuisine, especially Asian, Italian and Mexican. Oh, and if you wanna get to know me better before V2 kicks off, my contact info is in my profile...hope I can last in here without getting bored and killing my characters off!|
|Posted by: guitarjack87 Mar 27 2006, 03:18 PM|
| fuck yeah Michigan, Wings and Pistons.
I'm from there too.
This is getting rediculous. How many active members do we have now?
|Posted by: Swoosh Mar 27 2006, 03:28 PM|
You've stolen Riser's crown for the Golden Oldie award. FOR SHAME XDD
And shush GJ, more people is good news! ^___^
I can't remember if I've done one of these before, but yes, I'm Swoosh (or, if you're my mother, Katie), I'm 17 (18 in four days!) and I have no characters left
I'm also the no. 1 Hawley Faust fangirl, yo.
|Posted by: riserugu Mar 27 2006, 03:48 PM|
I think I did something like this a bit back. But, oh well. As my title says I'm Riser (or Z to some), I'm 21, and the loveable Co-Admin of this interesting little space on the web.
And Swoosh is my dear Hawley's number one fan, just look at that banner in her signature. Gotta love dear Swoosh-wife.
|Posted by: guitarjack87 Mar 27 2006, 03:53 PM|

Anyways, welcome all to SOTF
I am guitarjack, resident cynic and occaisional drunk, and am also he of thee purple name
|Posted by: LadyMakaze Mar 27 2006, 06:20 PM|
| Wow...sudden onslaught of newcomers coming in. *evil cackle* Fresh meat indeed.
Welcome all. I be the mod Ladymakaze, resident psycho with a perpetual homicidal intent. My tendencies are sadistic, abusive and psychotic to an extensive degree, but in all honesty, I am a nice person in the end.
It's true, ask Slacker. ^__^ *fires up chainsaw*
|Posted by: Croco Mar 27 2006, 07:40 PM|
I take it a lot of these newcomers (myself included) have gotten word that round 2 will be starting up soon...can't wait to unleash the fury that is the Croco on you guys. *wink-wink*
|Posted by: Cycokiller Mar 27 2006, 11:04 PM|
|Ahh...what a great bunch. I see big things for v2. Welcome, fellow newcomers!|
|Posted by: Minase Mar 28 2006, 02:59 PM|
|And everyone remember just because V2 has'nt started, it doesnt mean you can't prepare yourself for when it does with a little pre-game RP'ing. Head over to the International Phenomon thread now, where many players are already testing out potential characters and their background stories in anticipation of the possibility of using them when V2 comes around|
|Posted by: Paperdoll Mar 29 2006, 02:36 PM|
| *waves* hi and welcome to everyone that just got here
Hmmm.... I should do that *runs off to create a character*
|Posted by: Minase Mar 29 2006, 03:33 PM|
Just remember you can't actually use it yet in an official threads yet, the game is closed now until it's completion.
Until V2 starts up you can only use any characters you make in unofical threads, such as 'international phenomon'.
Still I guess it's good to start now creating now, that way you can really develop your character before we actually start officialy, so go ahead, have fun!
...oh yeah, and welcome
|Posted by: Polaris Apr 3 2006, 09:39 PM|
I'm Polaris, what's up? Umm, I like ponies, and unicorns that come from the sea, and the song "I was born a unicorn", and... girls named Maggie and Audra and if allowed Ebonydear.
I'm a pyschomaniac, halfjap/halfwhitey. I'm a insomniac, that's on special meds, so if you piss me off (AKA S) I'll come after you bitches.
I'm really looking forward to this roleplay, it's my first, so de-virginize me slowly. Go see Bleeding Through.
I'm the girl on the left. The one on the right is Magpie.
I was working that night, on the corner. It was cold, and I was kinky. The making of a great.. nevermind.
|Posted by: Swoosh Apr 3 2006, 10:43 PM|
| I can assure you, that first picture will ensure that Slacker/Rainbow Brite is your new number one fan.
Welcome to the boards ^___^
|Posted by: d0ddi0slave Apr 3 2006, 10:48 PM|
| Oh yeah, Slacker's gonna have a field day.
Though something tells me that she should be able to handle it quite well....*hopes*
|Posted by: Slayer Apr 3 2006, 11:47 PM|
| Depends on whether or not "handling quite well" involves Slacker getting too cocky and losing some important...limbs .

Anyways, yeah the series isn't all that great and they do make fun of religions, I'll admit. But of course, all's well that ends well. Jack is the funniest bad guy I have ever seen. He always, I mean ALWAYS loses, adn horribly might I add. Jack even has to go and steal back the Shin gon woo(sp?) | right now it is nearing the end of lent. Friday is good friday, the day Jesus was executed, and Sunday is the day he was raised from the dead. Another Christian holiday defiled by mainstream america.
Along with halloween
|Posted by: Sephy Apr 12 2006, 02:09 PM|
Since when's Halloween been a Christian holiday?
|Posted by: Albel Nox Apr 12 2006, 04:55 PM|
| really, halloween is just a holiday to dress like an idiot or your favorite character and get free candy. No Christianity there. Most churches ban stuff like that. Some even think it's the devil's b-day, but WTF!? It's just a day to have fun!
And HAPPY EASTER!!! The Jack way. We can all make robotical easter eggs that pop open and have daning animals inside! Haha!
|Posted by: riserugu Apr 12 2006, 07:56 PM|
| I don't think he means that Halloween might be a Christian holiday, as much as the Christians kind have a hand in how it is today. Because as some of you might know the term Halloween comes from hallow and eve, as it is the evening before "All Hallows Day". In Ireland, the name was All Hallows Eve and this name is still used by some older people. Halloween was also sometimes called All Saints' Eve. The holiday was a day of religious festivities in various northern European pagan traditions, until it was appropriated by Christian missionaries and given a Christian interpretation.
The spirits supposedly rose from the dead and, in order to attract them, food was left on the doors. To scare off the evil spirits, the Celts wore masks, and the priests trying to Christianize the "benighted pagans" decided that "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em!" and slowly convinced the majority of people that returning spirits were bad, and that they should not be welcomed, but scared away instead. This attitude allowed the people to retain their favorite holiday traditions (putting out food for the returning spirits, parading around with candleholders made of hollowed-out gourds, building bonfires and other activities depending on the region) while staying on the good side of the church.
So the Halloween we all know and love is really the water-downed Christian-verison of the original All Hallows/Saints' Eve, of course this is all based on what I learned about through different sources, and what I've read on wikipedia. I could give you the Eastern Orthodox interpretation on it that I grew up learning, but that would include the use of the word 'satanic' a lot. But yeah, my little bout of knowledge for the day.
|Posted by: Swoosh Apr 12 2006, 10:03 PM|
|I thought he meant 'another holiday defiled by mainstream America' myself x__X|
|Posted by: riserugu Apr 12 2006, 10:13 PM|
He could have, but I think much to hard on things when I'm given the chance to explain something it seems.
|Posted by: Bloody_Fists Apr 13 2006, 12:12 AM|
|so christians beleive the day jesus was murdered, a friday, was a good day? hence the name good friday?|
|Posted by: riserugu Apr 13 2006, 12:32 AM|
|You know I have no reason why it's called 'Good Friday', I mean I know it's the most holy day in the Holy Week, and it's supposed to be a day for fasting. But beyond that, I have no clue.|
|Posted by: Albel Nox Apr 13 2006, 04:51 PM|
|This is all so strange, I mean, really. Why would a bunch of people celebrate a day that Jesus died. I am no Christian, but still. This makes no sense!|
|Posted by: Sephy Apr 13 2006, 05:27 PM|
|Because its an excuse for a party.|
|Posted by: Queen Asshat Apr 13 2006, 05:38 PM|
|CATHOLIC PARTY! That's right your crazy priests bring out the nine year old boys!|
|Posted by: Cycokiller Apr 13 2006, 08:12 PM|

|Posted by: Shears Apr 14 2006, 09:07 AM|

| I'd put myself as a combo, kiriyama/nobu/shuya/mimura.
I'm a little cold, people often tell me I am. They also tell me I'm a man-whore. I do however always like to do the right thing when I can, you don't need a reason to help somone. Also I'm a bit of a rebel without a cause where school is concerned, not so much as I used to be know I' full time though. I also love rock music, women, I go through tons of fads and I would love to stab a teacher. See, I'm totally BR skitzophrenic.
|Posted by: guitarjack87 Apr 19 2006, 10:48 PM|

|Offline i'm a lot like book Kiriyama, the quiet one with all the answers at the back of the class, but if Gackt is mentioned I become manga Kaori without the spots (but pssh, I love Gackt mroe then Kaori ever loved Junya ¨_¨)|
|Posted by: Lien Apr 20 2006, 11:22 PM|
|I'll put myself out there... I think I'm a little Yukie/Shogo, just because in real life and sometimes online I like to take charge... but I can't really remember a character to also put in there for my spouts of bitchy attitude.... Anyone have a better memory?|
|Posted by: Sephy Apr 21 2006, 12:37 PM|
Mitsuko perhaps? I mean she was uber bitch from hell but you could say you're a little bit of Mitsuko without the bullying and being a total evil bitch yet blaming everything on your not actually so tragic past
|Posted by: Lien Apr 21 2006, 01:39 PM|
| Yeah, but I'm not deluded, I don't have a tragic past. I don't think I need to cry and become evil because I didn't get a My Little Pony or something....
Plus, I see lots of people, not exactly in this board, claiming to be like Mitsuko.... Oh well.
|Posted by: Megami Apr 21 2006, 03:42 PM|
| You know, that's a tough one because most of the BR girls were... I dunno how to put it. Like out of the lighthouse girls, the only two with half a personality were Satomi and Yukie, and they were the goody-goody girls. Well... for the most part. ; Then... none of Mitsuko's gang really fit you either because Yoshimi was just sort of a tool who collapsed under peer pressure and Hirono... oddly enough, she never struck me as a "bitchy" character, even though she was a bully.
I guess for me, I'd like to think I'm a mix between Yukie and Takako. I'm an independent, take-charge sort of person who almost feels the need to step up to be the leader. And, like Takako, I'm a take-no-crap sort of person. Bits and pieces of her past remind me of myself too, mostly the reputation she got in school. So yeah.

i'm the one who's supposed to hate Mitsuko around here I almost got flamed off the BRfilm board for it "zomg you don't like Mitsuko!11 she's not evil she's a victim!!111 she got raped!1 which excuses everything bad she ever did!11" uh..no it doesnt.
|Posted by: Lien Apr 21 2006, 10:12 PM|
|I don't hate her, but I hardly think she's as important as people say, she was just someone who killed a lot, like Kiriyama and all that. But, then again, the dumb hooker killed my favorite character. Poo.|

| Guys, guys, guys... whats with all the mitsuko bashing.
|Posted by: Sephy Apr 21 2006, 11:12 PM|
dunno about the others, but i've never liked her simply because of the way she acts, if she admitted she was a bully because she felt like it i wouldnt mind, its the fact she blames everything on her past, which wasnt all that bad.
|Posted by: mitsuko2 Apr 21 2006, 11:28 PM|
|hmmmmm, point taken|
|Posted by: Queen Asshat Apr 22 2006, 02:33 AM|
|Well, personally I think Mitsuko was a better antagonist than Kiriyame, but mostly because Kiri didn't say anything. As far as personality goes (I know a lot of girls are expecting me to say Niida, well fuck you...that's a thought, remind me to get on that later ), I guess I'm Yutaka Seto, but I do have my ultra political moments in which I resemble Mimura...so umm... Seto it is .|

I have no sympathy for her and don't care about her whole heartedly! She's just wrong in my opinion. And, Sephy. Sorry but I hav e to step in on this one. Maybe we could have an I Hate Misuko Fan Club or something?
Oh and LovelessHeart. Mim is very cool indeed. Too bad that my absolute favorite guy kills him. Sorry about that. And the wya he duct tapes his inards back in, so sad. He's 3rd best in my book.

|By this rate were going to have three times as many roleplayers as when this one started.|
|Posted by: Minase Apr 24 2006, 09:03 PM|
Yeah, we are gonna have a never-ending storieeeeeeeee-eeeeeeeee-eeeeeeeeeeee...on our hands.
|Posted by: Bloody_Fists Apr 24 2006, 09:09 PM|
|Although it has been fun to have over 120 characters i suppose the cap will come on about 70 - 80 students?|
|Posted by: Albel Nox Apr 25 2006, 12:52 PM|
|A Never Ending Story? Good movie, but a Never Ending Battle Royale, oh boy. Too many people. Not to mention that people can have multiple characters. *sweatdrop* We're so doomed. Hopefully it won't be too bad. And maybe I should start a thread in spam. I'll make it based on I ahte Mitsuko but it can go to whatever and whoever. ^.^ People may state opinions, just don't blow up at me....lol|
|Posted by: Minase Apr 27 2006, 05:29 PM|
|The only problem with loads of players and the cap being at about 80 characters or whatever is that some people really won't get to play much. Like if you're only allowed one character, and you're the first to die, what are you going to be doing for the next three years?|
|Posted by: Bloody_Fists Apr 27 2006, 07:09 PM|
|You'll be hacking into other peoples accounts and roleplaying with there characters.|
|Posted by: Albel Nox Apr 28 2006, 05:13 PM|
|Haha, yeah really. I mean I think we should be limited to a certain amount of characters each instead of an all over character cap. At least 2-3 characters a person. It may just work. Then put the all over cap after each person has made their characters! ^^|
|Posted by: d0ddi0slave Apr 28 2006, 11:07 PM|
| i think that we keep the same system as now, but do inactive sweeps more often.
|Posted by: Megami Apr 29 2006, 01:39 AM|
|I gotta agree with Dodd here. Your idea is nice in theory, Wulf, but if all three of someone's characters were rolled quickly (and it's happened before, 2 of Riser's got rolled in one roll), they'd be out SUPER early and it wouldn't be fair. Plus, that'd automatically give the newcomers an advantage, too. They'd be able to create 2-3 characters while the ones who started from the beginning would only have whoever was left... if that makes sense. It favors a new member winning over one who started at the beginning of the game.|
|Posted by: guitarjack87 Apr 29 2006, 04:00 AM|
|whick sukcs becasue newm emberas are usualy notr very good.|
|Posted by: Swoosh Apr 29 2006, 02:52 PM|
This post is seriously straying off topic... oh well ^___^
That's not neccessarily true, GJ; I'd consider Megami and Asano to be the newbies of the SOTF community, and they're both two of the best RPers we have
|Posted by: Megami Apr 29 2006, 09:47 PM|
| Aww, Swooshie, I'm flattered. While I don't agree with G.J.'s statement, I think I know what he (and the influence under which he was speaking) means. People always improve with experience. I won't say I sucked when I started out, and neither did say, Riser, Dodd, etc., but we've ALL gotten better with experience.
Anyway, I think our current system is a good one, because it integrates the newcomers and the SOTF vets and everyone in between all together. I was simply saying that if we limited characters, you'd have the vets at the beginning, the middle people in the, er, middle, and the newcomers at the last of the game, because the people who started the game would (for the most part) lose their characters long before the cap took place. Whereas people who found the site later on down the line would start and still have all their available character slots... make sense?
|Posted by: Slayer Apr 29 2006, 10:49 PM|
|Yeah, I think we should keep it the way we used it this time around, more fair and convinces people to join while they still can.|
|Posted by: Croco Apr 30 2006, 05:26 PM|
|Amen, sister...I'd rather have it where the newbies and veterans have an equal shot at winning the game. Dunno if this would be a good idea or not, but I was thinking that at the very end, everyone (that is, every active player left) should have one character left, preferably their main character. That way, when it gets down to it, everyone has an equal shot at winning whereas now, one of the better RPers here could be left hanging while a n00b comes in, creates three characters and ends up stealing the game. I don't know if that's a good idea or not, but it's worth a shot....|
|Posted by: Sephy Apr 30 2006, 06:34 PM|
|the problem with that is, making sure everyone has thier main character left removes the randomness of the selection that's part of the charm of BR, the main 'heroes' don't always live till the end.|
|Posted by: Cycokiller Apr 30 2006, 08:26 PM|
|True! That's very true!|

Except that wouldn't happen because the 'n00b' would also be affected by the cap that was stopping the veteran from playing. But I understand what you mean.
And wow, guys, we totally digress, don't we?

|I like the idea about the one main charecter, it makes it more interesting in the end|

| Right, I go into temporary, albeit long hiatus due to school work and next thing I know, this place is swarming with new people @_@ *dizzyness*
But....that's a good thing.... *grins evilly* Yes...a very good thing... *reloads the uzi*
Well I guess I should welcome all you new people then. Have fun with the forums peeps, and glad to see that the Other RP forum is finally getting a bit of activity. *happiness*
|Posted by: Croco May 1 2006, 03:44 PM|
I didn't say you HAD to keep your main character, but it would be nice. And who said that main characters were always heroes...what about Kazuo? From what I've heard, he's a villain to the core...does that mean he's any less of a main character? But enough of that...I see your point. It wouldn't be fair if everyone got to keep their main characters...yet in the same sense, it'd also give some incentive to play. I'm sure some of you people have put some kind of an emotional investment into your characters and would like to see them get far in the game. That's all I was trying to say.
|Posted by: Megami May 1 2006, 04:08 PM|
| You know, you both have valid arguments. Characters don't necessarily need to live to the end to make a huge impact upon the game. Look at BR's Hiroki Sugimura and Shinji Mimura. Shinji's a better example because he didn't survive nearly as long, but he was in the game long enough to make a HUGE impact. There's examples in SOTF, too. Hawley Faust and Jacob Starr both come to mind. Even though Jacob's been deceased for quite a while now, his kill count is just now being surpassed by someone. And Hawley, well, I think several people would agree that SOTF wouldn't have been the same without him, and his death itself made a big impact and affected lots of people.
As for keeping your main character to the end... I think we actually do a pretty good job of that as it is, don't you? With the swap card and the fact that others can use their card for you if they so choose, it's not really that hard to keep someone around. Adam Dodd's a prime example, he was one of the first SOTF characters and he's still around. Aiden Ambrose and Xian Chun survived almost until the end as well. And... well, Jill's pretty much my main character and it's not been too difficult to keep her around.
So really, keeping your main character throughout the game has always been somewhat of an option. Peri, Stevan, and Jeremy are all pretty much flagship characters and they've all been around quite a while. You figure... really... what's the likelihood they'll get rolled? I think it's maxed at the beginning and end, but the more characters we have in the game, the less likely yours will be rolled. Anyway, just thought I'd provide some food for thought on the matter, since we're discussing it.
|Posted by: Albel Nox May 1 2006, 04:57 PM|
|Yeah, I see what you mean. I wasn't thinking opn that notion. I still think that it's amazing how long my character has lasted. She isn't even injured.|
|Posted by: Slayer May 1 2006, 09:22 PM|
|Did Scott bash her over the head with a brick? That's pretty 'injured'.|
|Posted by: Kuze May 1 2006, 11:09 PM|
Thats True, Personally I'm suprised she hasnt died by now, or something hemmoraged, or she hasnt lapsed into unconcousness, moral is she shouldnt be alive, or aable to walk and talk well
|Posted by: Swoosh May 1 2006, 11:27 PM|
Affected lots of people- characters and fellow handlers *weeps*
And what are we talking about now? Brick? Huh? What?
Whatever it is... it seems kinda irrelevant and I smell an argument. *gets mircophone at the ready*
|Posted by: Lien May 1 2006, 11:29 PM|
|Isn't it a megaphone, swoosh?|
|Posted by: riserugu May 2 2006, 12:55 AM|
Yup. That seems to be the worst thing I've done to Swoosh-wife, kill off Hawley.
Sorry, m'dear. Oh, but did I mention your long-over due plushie is almost finished? I've just got to find something to use for hair. *ponderponder*
Microphone, megaphone, it's all the same as long as Swoosh-wife can spurt her rambling "peace&love not war&hate" talk.
And further more, on the note of what dear Nev's condition should be in. *breaks out the doctor look* Depending on how hard Scott hit her, will thus transfer into how much damage is done. And thus, just because he hit her on the head doesn't mean she recieved brain damage. And it's also kind of hard to have both the ability to walk, and talk be affected at the same time, unless he snapped her neck at the same moment -- which of course was the case, then yes she should be dead, or so very not moving a lot at this time.
No doubt a concussion would occured, because;
Head + Brick = No Good.
But of course then one must wonder to what degree the concussion is, and if it's the worse -- well first off she should be confused as hell and probably have a bout of amnesia. But as that isn't the case it seems, well I really don't know what to say at this as she isn't my character and I can't do a thing about it. Because bad or good, usually a blow to the head -- and with a brick of all things -- the character in question should at least be somewhat confused, dowsy, probably feeling sick and vomiting, a headache... but blah, yeah. That's just my small view on it.
But like I said, I can't say much because I don't know how hard the blow was. If I knew that, I could probably pin-point on what should be wrong with her, and be able to help a bit more.
|Posted by: LadyMakaze May 2 2006, 01:19 AM|
That or marrying him to Madelaine, me thinks.
Anyways, yeah I would think that Nev would have to be less than fine if she got bricked in the head in any case. But hey, if Cody survived being bashed in the head with a tire iron, then Nev may as well survive a brick to head, albeit not without a few complications.
Maybe this is a good excuse to make her go insane. *shrug*
|Posted by: Kuze May 2 2006, 01:20 AM|
*head explodes from knowledge pverload*
Ask Scott's handler Who I think Is Slayer.
|Posted by: Albel Nox May 2 2006, 05:33 PM|
|My character wasn't bashed in the head horribly! Sides, she can recover from such small injuries. It was more like a shallow cut with a knot and bruise to follow. It was aimed for Jeremy to begin with, but yeah. She's cool. haha, if she survived having a glass eye, she can survive a lot. Believe me, I should know. I got injured al through out my life. I even hit my head on a boulder. Sure, I was knocked out for 2 hours, but that didn't stop me.|
|Posted by: Sephy May 2 2006, 06:12 PM|
Whats so bad about a glass eye? i'm not bashing you or anything just wondering.
umm i'd just like to say i've been hit over the head with a brick before (and a hammer but that was another time) and it hurt quite a lot but apart from that I was fine.
|Posted by: Albel Nox May 2 2006, 06:24 PM|
|Stating what i had to go through to have it, it's pretty harsh.|
|Posted by: Kaishi May 2 2006, 08:08 PM|
That explains a lot.
|Posted by: Albel Nox May 3 2006, 05:00 PM|
|lol. I've been fine so, I base may character after me. so, it's not like I am trying to be invisible either.|
|Posted by: Sephy May 3 2006, 06:36 PM|
are you implying something Kaishella?
|Posted by: guitarjack87 May 3 2006, 07:18 PM|
Being invisible would be awesome.
|Posted by: Croco May 3 2006, 07:56 PM|
Dude, I think he meant that in a figurative sense...like he's not gonna be like a ninja and only keep in the shadows. But then again, that's my interpretation and I could always be wrong...
|Posted by: Sephy May 3 2006, 08:14 PM|
I don't think 'he' meant anything since 'he' is a she
Seriously...we need like "male" or "female" dispalyed under our user names. ^^;
|Posted by: Swoosh May 3 2006, 08:34 PM|
You have NO idea how much that messed me up XDDD
And really, Riser-wife? Yaaaaay! I can't wait for my Hawley plushie! <33333
Seeing as Riser-wife and Maka seem to know more about this brick sitch than I do, I'll just let them deal with it XDD
And yes, I meant megaphone. It's my megaphone of JUSTICE!
|Posted by: Lien May 4 2006, 05:56 AM|
| That would actually be interesting... an SOTF doctor. You know, just in case someone is unsure of the damage a certain wound or hit would do... just ask the Dr. and he/she would tell you. Keep game in realism, and helps people plan out deaths or fights more efficiently.
Am I rambling or does that make sense?
|Posted by: LadyMakaze May 4 2006, 02:14 PM|
I volunteer Riser!!
|Posted by: Megami May 4 2006, 03:55 PM|
|I second that motion! After all, she's the one who said it bothered her when people completely ignored their characters injuries. We can make her her own little topic and everything: Dr. Riser. <3|
|Posted by: Albel Nox May 4 2006, 05:14 PM|
|Did I say invisble? I meant to say invicnble! sorry about that, but hai, that would also be kick ass! lmao.|

She could use vodka for antiseptic
|Posted by: Cycokiller May 4 2006, 07:43 PM|

|Posted by: riserugu May 5 2006, 01:41 AM|
Sure, I'd be willing to help whenever. Like Meg said, I was a bi--alright, I was quite bothered by the lack of attention given to the wounds, namely the bad ones... but yeah.
|Posted by: Albel Nox May 5 2006, 05:08 PM|
|Whooo! Vodka! lol|
|Posted by: Theseus May 5 2006, 07:21 PM|
|haha yeah it would be nice for someone to look over characters wounds, actually I'm no doctor so I should somehow find out how bad Jeremy's wounds are....|
|Posted by: Sephy May 5 2006, 08:24 PM|
| Maybe a 'dcotor' would do good for perople that simply don't know how injured thier character should be, but what about RPers that simply refuse to let thier character be injured cos "tehy're liek omgz teh speshul ninja!11"
(not saying we have anyone like that on this board, but we might have in the near future, you never know)
|Posted by: Minase May 5 2006, 09:14 PM|
|The problem is deciding who, I mean who's to say how being hit on the head with a brick would affect you? I mean I would think it could kill the average person if it caught them right, but it could also glance off and do nothing at all, if we are getting a doctor they need to know their stuff. I mean basic reminders like, 'hey you can't run your characters got no legs!' are all well and good, but the whole leaving it up to the doctor to decide how bad you chracter is injured based on the idea of keeping in-game relaism or whatever seems a bit off, because they can't possibly know for sure how much damage something would do in real life.|
|Posted by: Sephy May 5 2006, 09:52 PM|
|Unless we got a person to act as a guinea pig and every injury that happens to someone in SOTF we do to them *grins evilly in the direction of certain male posters* any volunteers? i'm sure swooshy and maka will help the with 'experiments'|
|Posted by: Queen Asshat May 6 2006, 12:11 AM|
|She's looking at you Adam Dodd .|
|Posted by: Lien May 6 2006, 04:20 PM|
|It could be there if someone wanted it, and if I remember Riser is studying in the medical field, yeah? Maybe not exactly all the stuff that may have to be addressed, but she's probably got a better idea than us.|
|Posted by: Albel Nox May 9 2006, 05:18 PM|
|My character can doctor up some wounds, but she's no professional! haha!|

| Hello. I'm Bradley Armstrong, I'm 17, and I just got intorduced to Battle Royale yesterday. It reminds me of The Long Walk, only better, because the deaths are more varied and every contestant is featured, however briefly.
I'll be playing Lance Adams, the fatalistic anime enthusiast, and his religious girlfriend, Naomi White. I'm not sure whether to put them in the Pregame forum or just dump them on the island. Any suggestions?
|Posted by: riserugu Jun 15 2006, 07:46 PM|
| Well, hello-hello. Welcome to SOTF. ;D
And as for your characters, you'll have to start them in the pre-game roleplay, as no new characters are allowed in the main roleplay on the island, least not until v1 ends - whenever that might be.

|Posted by: Sephy Jul 5 2006, 05:13 PM|
*twitches* There are no BR graphic novels.
(sorry, pet annoyance of mine ^^; )
and welcome all you new people, I look forward to having the chance to roleplay with you all, and just so no-one gets confused, people in my sig/avatars are always male, no matter how femme they may look
|Posted by: Aphrodite. Jul 5 2006, 08:40 PM|
| Hello. Aphrodite here. Real name=Joseph. Years that I have acquired=15. I'm new to rping, but love BR. : )
Read the book, seen the movies. Ummm, I love anything to do with anime and manga, I am one of those uber-geeks that actually enjoys sitting in school for 9 months, and love showchoir. I think that about covers it....
As for this rp... I've been reading the story since April, when I found the forum from wikipedia. Went on vacation, completely forgot to check and when I finally did, v2 had been pre-gaming.
Let's see, I am currently making 2 characters, one a religious, sexually confused jock and the other a normal teenage girl just concerned with where her life is going. Hopefully they'll be approved.
Hope that's not too much for a post thingy.
|Posted by: Cycokiller Jul 5 2006, 09:07 PM|
|Around here there's no such thing as too long a post. And if there are no BR graphic novels, then...<<creepy music>> what the hell was I reading...?|
|Posted by: Aphrodite. Jul 6 2006, 12:30 AM|
|Like, the manga? Doesn't manga=graphic novel?|
|Posted by: Cycokiller Jul 6 2006, 07:09 AM|
|I thought so too, Afroman, but apparently the Battle Royale manga isn't legit enough for Sephy's taste...|
|Posted by: Aphrodite. Jul 6 2006, 07:26 AM|
|Too Legit!!! Too Legit To Quit!!!|
|Posted by: Cycokiller Jul 6 2006, 07:37 AM|
| Too legit to take a shit!
Edit: Ok that sounded a lot cooler in my head...
|Posted by: Sephy Jul 6 2006, 12:59 PM|
| No, a manga is a Japanese comic book, i.e. pictures on every page with text bubbles etc.
A graphic novel is a book with occasional pictures, for example Vampire Hunter D is a graphic novel, there are 7 illustrations in a 250+ page novel.
|Posted by: Aphrodite. Jul 6 2006, 07:06 PM|

I just can't stop staring at you avatar. It makes me dizzy.

| Hey guys. I just recently joined after reading up on Battle Royale, using Wikipedia. (my addiction)
I recently put up a profile for my character on the pre-game profile thingy.
I'm not sure what I think of it so far, or if I need improvement.
I'm 18, and I, like my character, am Andi.
Actually, to be quite honest, the character is me (save for the whole hurting people with teh butterfly knife, I only keep mine for show)
Kind of a rip off, but I hope that's alright.
I'm a gamer, and a movie buff.
Don't really know what to say other than that.

That's why I http://www.editthis.info/Survival_Of_The_Fittest/LaZardo about it.

|I'll answer, but in the fear of sounding like a tight-assed administrator - I'll just say - as far as switching the day - really, it's kind of hard to time progression to make everyone at the same pace...and for next time, try and ask the question in either a new topic or one pertaining to your question. We're a real active forum, we won't miss it.|

| Hii Hii!
yay for me!!!
Anyway, I was wondering.... How to you Register Characters? I was trying to before and.... it for some reason wouldn't let me. It might now, im not sure.... Guess i have to try again!
Anyways, Hello everybody!!!
Luv ~ Hirono Shimizu
|Posted by: Megami Jul 31 2006, 02:36 PM|
| You can't register characters for the current game, seeing as it's down to 4 competitors and almost (*crosses fingers*) over. You can, however, join in on the pre-game for Version 2, which should be coming up shortly and just went through a huge expansion. All you have to do is go to the forum called "Pregame Profiles", click on the sticky that says "Profile Template", make a new topic, fill in your information, and you're all set. Do us a favor and be mindful of the class you set your character in. Bathurst High is 10th grade only, P.J. Gilroy Academy is 9th grade only, Hobbsborough is 9th, 10th, and 11th grades, and Franklyn Senior High is 11th grade only. Make sure you pick one of these classes, or your character won't be able to play in the game when it begins.
I hope I provided you with some assistance, feel free to PM myself or any of the other staff if you have questions, and... welcome to SOTF!

Yukie Utsumi - She reminds me of me >_>
Megumi Eto - She's so Cute && Adorable!
Takako Chigusa - ....Its Chiaki Kuriyama Im a fan of hers!
Hirono Shimizu - She's just too awsome for words, ahahaha. "You were pimping Yoshimi" hehehe, she is like expert at throwing Kama!! [Sickle]
Yuko Sakaki - She's Similar to Megumi, Except Yuko causes such a crazy thing to occur. Gotta love her for that hehe...

|This is a simple greeting from a simple person...
Ive been one of the (Im guessing) many lurkers here, ducking in and out, catching up on the action every once in a while but finally Ive decided to say a couple of things.
First and foremost Im only here to read, I dont think I have the commitment or the talent to actually take up a character...so if its a necessity to actually RP in here then I guess I'll be blocked in thirty seconds or so.
But I have to say either way this place is incredible...I mean sure theres a bit of a calm right now but I can see in a little while there'll be action out the proverbial yinyang. Congratulations to all concerned.
I eagerly await the Endgame (but take your time, theres nothing worse than a rushed ending)
