Survival of the Fittest > Lookout Point > LookOUT (Umi, Aiden and Daisuke)

((Coming from

Her heavy breathing caused her to stop. She didn't know if she was far enough away, but she knew she couldn't carry on any more without any rest. Umi dropped to her knees, grasping them tightly enough to make her knuckles white.

In her left hand (she had grabbed a hold of it subconsciously) was Gabrielle's weapon.

((Coming from:

Daisuke stopped beside Umi, quickly looking around, hoping there were no others, he quickly checked his map to make sure they weren't near a danger zone "...doesn't look like there's anyone else around"

Posted by: Lien Jul 13 2005, 06:29 PM
"Yeah, well, they probably all ran to the gunshot!" She snapped back as she noticed the gun in her hand.

Posted by: Sephy Jul 13 2005, 06:36 PM
"and what were you planning to do? Talk him to death?"

Posted by: Lien Jul 13 2005, 06:38 PM
"I don't know..." she said, he breaths coming out normal once again.

What would you have done? The guy lost it, he probably would've killed us....

"Look, let's not worry about it now. We need to wait for the next announcement before we do anything else."

Posted by: Sephy Jul 13 2005, 06:43 PM
Daisuke sat down next to Umi, looking from her to Aiden..."ano...gomen" he blinked as he realised he'd slipped into Japanese, something he sometimes did when under stress "I mean i'm sorry..I didn't mean to...I..lost control back there"

Posted by: Lien Jul 13 2005, 07:02 PM
She stuffed her small gun in her bag, taking the MAC-10 for her primary one. It had no extra bullets, but it was already fully loaded. She checked it closely, and noticed a spot of blood. She shuddered.

"I guess it's not entirely your fault," Umi said shakily, "He... he was lost, gone."

Posted by: Sephy Jul 13 2005, 07:05 PM
"...." ~I hope I don't lose it like that~ Daisuke prayed silently, he didn't want to hurt his friends...but he wouldn't be able to control himself if It happened again

Posted by: Lien Jul 13 2005, 07:22 PM
Umi had some re-thinking to do. This whole game was something so surreal she hadn't fully conceived this whole ordeal the right way.

Perhaps they should find a way to escape. Or maybe they should just end it. She knew she didn't want to end up like Minase. Or anyone else who was going to die in this game.

Posted by: Sephy Jul 13 2005, 07:32 PM
" whats the point of playing this game? its not like you win, they keep pumping mroe and more ocntestants in until one of them kills you..." he laughed, but there was no humour in it "worlds longest snuff movie.."

Posted by: Lien Jul 13 2005, 07:33 PM
Umi said it blatantly. It was on her mind anyway.

"We're going to take this son of a bitch down."

Posted by: Sephy Jul 13 2005, 07:37 PM
"you read my mind" he grinned "guess the only problem"

Posted by: Lien Jul 13 2005, 07:40 PM
Umi nodded, "How without them finding out about it. The probably think it's futile with the cameras around and everything. So... how do we communicate?"

Posted by: Sephy Jul 13 2005, 07:42 PM
"well unless you two both speak Japanese or Korean..I don't think we can communicate" he sighed, remembering again that the cameras and mics were capturing thier every move

Posted by: Lien Jul 13 2005, 07:44 PM
Umi chuckled before answering.

"Would've been probable if I had lived with my mother, but I never talked with her. I'm pretty much raised white. Any other way?"

Posted by: Sephy Jul 13 2005, 07:46 PM
"ano....I'm guessing they have cameras in the collars or whisperings no good... and unless we wrote really tiny the camera's pick it up..." It seemed like there was no way out, but Dai refused ot admit that "there has to be someway, nothing is a foolproof system"

Posted by: Lien Jul 13 2005, 07:50 PM
"Too bad we didn't know each other before this... maybe if we were close we could have made a written language no one could read. You think... maybe someone from your school is here? Someone who knows Japanese?"

She racked her brain for some way they could fool the bastards.

Posted by: Sephy Jul 13 2005, 07:52 PM
Daisuke shrugged "I dunno...besides 90% of boys from my school would be playing the game...I come from Shisei High, official school for geniuses and weirdos..."

Posted by: Lien Jul 13 2005, 09:06 PM
Umi smacked the ground with her fist, hearing a bone slightly crack. The pain only lasted for a second, she figured nothing else would come of it. Frustration like this had to drive someone insane.

"The next announcement...people will know. What do we do? Everyone will think our group is a threat."

Posted by: Sephy Jul 13 2005, 09:08 PM
"I'm sorry...I..maybe it'd be best if I seperated from the group...then i'm not a danger to you and Aiden" he didn't want to leave the others..but he knew that if he stayed wiht them they'd all be in danger

Posted by: Lien Jul 13 2005, 09:11 PM
"You might prove to be helpful," she said, not wanting him to go, "they might be too afraid to try to get us."

She touched his hand as a friendly gesture, "We're together at this until the end."

Posted by: Sephy Jul 13 2005, 09:15 PM
Daisuke smiled gratefully..~together until the ned....sounds good~ he nodded his agreement "you're right, we're not gonna let these bastards break us up and play thier sick game, we'll figure our way out of this, even if I have to break every fucking camera on this island"

Posted by: Lien Jul 13 2005, 09:18 PM
Umi let out a laugh. "You might very well have to."

She stood, holding the MAC-10, and looked over the point. They could see everything here.

Posted by: Sephy Jul 13 2005, 09:21 PM
He laughed too "nothin' like a bit of random property destruction now an' then" A certain part of Dai's pyche kept trying to remind he that he had jsut shot someone, and that most normal people in his position would be in a foetal position on the floor, he was trying to ignore the voice and push it to he back of his mind

Posted by: Lien Jul 13 2005, 09:24 PM
"Someone should keep watch now, this place is perfect to see anyone coming. We'll make sure to take shifts."

She held tight to her weapon.

Posted by: Sephy Jul 13 2005, 09:27 PM
"you're right...hmm if we yelled from hear, the whole island might be able to hear us..." Daisuke wasn't stupid enuogh to try anything, there were probably others like the one they'd met at the hosptial, and Minase, others who were playing..still it would be a good place to contact everyone from if they somehow managed to bring the system down ~heh, isn't this what you wanted all your life Die? A chance to take on the system?~

Posted by: Lien Jul 13 2005, 09:30 PM
"Then, perhaps we should keep our voices down," she said.

Posted by: Sephy Jul 13 2005, 09:33 PM
Dai rolled his eyes..."maybe...or maybe we should scream real loud and tell everyone to smash all the cmeras...I know I know...stupid plan"

Posted by: Lien Jul 13 2005, 09:38 PM
Umi nodded, "Yeah, just a bit."

She looked around. No one seemed to be coming.

"I'll take first shift."

Cold metal...

That was the very first thing on the mind of Andrew Lipson as he slowly regained consciousness. Eyes fluttering open, he realized that the cold metal in question happened to be that of his wheelchair. In its folded up form, it could be carried around if need be, and at this point, the organizers of this sick competition had probably surmised that a contestant who couldn't use his legs wouldn't be much fun to watch. Pulling himself off of the wheelchair, he flopped over onto his back, and looked around. As it stood, to use a bad pun, Andrew found himself in; for lack of a better word, a ditch.

In an attempt to pull himself into a sitting position, he felt his pack underneath his left hand.

How am I going to manage this...

While he would likely be able to get himself into his wheelchair if on flat ground, this ditch was another story. Getting himself, his pack, and his wheelchair out of it would be a whole entire effort altogether.

This sucks, he thought. He was still trying to piece together what had all went on. He remembered seeing Adam and the rest off on the trip - how he had wanted to go on it. Then he had gone home, watched a couple hours of TV...then passed out on the couch. He had woken up to a loud crash, and then...he winced as he remembered the blow to the back of his head. He removed his fitted baseball cap and touched the back of his head. It hurt. A lot.

For the first time, Andrew looked around. The ditch was fairly deep and getting out was going to prove to be quite the chore. Aside from that, he couldn't see anything else.

Sighing, he did the only thing he could possibly think of doing, unaware of his situation or the circumstances surrounding the island. He called for help.

"HEY? Anybody?"

Posted by: Lien Jul 14 2005, 12:36 AM
Umi turned to the sound, quickly putting her gun in a shooting position. Without making a sound, she walked down the way from the point, grabbing a few stones.

She tossed them every which way, seeing whether she would get a reaction.

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Jul 14 2005, 12:43 AM
Nothing. Hm.

Andrew sat in the ditch, pondering his next move. Since there appeared to be no one else in the surrounding area, perhaps-

Before Andrew could finish the thought, a small stone flew out of what seemed like nowhere and hit him directly in the forehead. Surprised, he fell back down into a lying position. Had he been shot? Shocked, he rubbed his head. No blood.

"Ow!!! Fuck, that HURT!"

He picked the stone up off of his shirt, and looked at it. It wasn't all that big, but it still left a little mark. Feeling upset, he tossed the stone back in the direction it came from.

Posted by: Lien Jul 14 2005, 12:46 AM
A stone she had thrown to the right was followed by a shout. Umi turned that way, and just barely managed to dodge the rock being thrown back.

She pushed through the brush, her gun aiming into the ditch she surveyed on the way up.

Oh great, she thought, a guy in a wheelchair. You sent a guy in a wheelchair!?

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Jul 14 2005, 12:52 AM
As Andrew waited for any sound that his futile attempt at throwing a rock had hit anything, he heard a rustling in the bushes. Perhaps it wasn't a person, but some animal. Come to eat him. Eat him up, without giving a crap to his little situation.

But lo and behold, that wasn't the case. Looking at the girl who made her way out of the bushes, Andrew saw that she was fairly attractive. He recalled seeing her in school a few times, and remembered that before the accident, he had played her a few times in the pool tourney, but never really anywhere else.

It was then that he saw her gun, and his face went white. Why, oh WHY does she have a gun in her hands?

Out loud, he managed to put his hands up and stammer, "Hey...I, uh, don't shoot!"

Posted by: Lien Jul 14 2005, 03:36 AM
Umi smiled. Her? Shoot a classmate who was bound to a way in hell. She hopped down into the ditch and kneeled down close, putting a finger to her lips.

She could probably guess he needed help out of the ditch. Grabbing a hold of his chair first, she hoisted it up out of the ditch. Then she grabbed him from under his armpits.

"Geez, Andrew," she said as she progressively lifted him, "You never used to be this much dead weight."

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Jul 14 2005, 03:50 AM
Andrew's heart crawled from his throat back down to his chest as she put the gun down, and proceeded to help him out of the ditch. Although Andrew wasn't heavy, and actually almost a little scrawny, his legs WERE dead weight, something that he couldn't really help.

Andrew tried as best he could to help her lift him, and with much effort and trouble, she was able to lift him out of the deep ditch. Andrew nodded to her in thanks.

"You can put me down now, I'll be okay from here..."

As she did so, he grabbed the arm of his wheelchair and pulled himself into it, on a sitting position. Reaching down, he strapped his feet in, so that they wouldn't fall out. He then checked the motorized movement on the chair. He was lucky, his chair could be either controlled by the joystick near his hand, or by his arms on the wheels. Both seemed to be working.

"So...Ami..." he guessed, taking a stab at her name, "the one question that I've got to ask you...what's with the gun, and where are we?"

Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed his school bag still in the ditch.

"Oh, and uh, would you mind grabbing that for me?"

Posted by: Lien Jul 14 2005, 04:02 AM
Her mouth dropped open, her eyes went wide, and the only thing that came out of her mouth at that initial moment was, "A--."

Trying to find her words, she dropped into the ditch and grabbed his bag, taking the time to gather her thoughts. She handed the bag to him, grabbed the gun, and motioned for him to follow her.

She finally began to speak on the way back up.

"This, is hell on earth. An island, the board of a twisted game where we are supposed to kill each other. And, guessing as you weren't on the plane, they brought you here later," she looked haunted, as she remembered the bleeding chest wound of Minase.

"This gun," she continued, "Is a weapon. You probably have some sort of weapon too, in that bag of yours. But we're not playing, not the group I'm in. We want to take these bastards down."

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Jul 14 2005, 04:11 AM
Andrew looked as if he'd been slapped. Perhaps he'd have been better off going on the field trip after all. Holding his bag on his lap, he switched to automatic on the chair and wheeled behind Umi, all the while listening to her speak. Finally, when she was done, Andrew had his turn to try and piece things together.

"Hold on...we're supposed to kill each other? How many people are there on this island? How long've you all been here?"

He shook his head. This had to be some sort of crazy reality show. Someone would pop out and HEY! big joke on Andrew, right?

", I don't remember being on any plane...all I remember was...I was sitting on my couch...I heard a loud crash, and then everything went black..."

Posted by: Lien Jul 14 2005, 04:21 AM
"Makes sense," Umi said, "They bring people from all different schools, all around the United States."

She sighed as she continued on up, seeing the last few feet of hill before they would reach the resting place.

"You're welcome to join us, if you want. We've been fairly fortunate; the weapons we have are strong enough to defend us."

Umi stopped, turning around to face Andrew. She felt intensely sorry for him, as he was already so unlucky. To lose his legs... now to be in the game where people would be bent on klling.

"Look, I'm so sorry," she said, her voice breaking, "We used to know each other through school, and now you're stuck here. This place... you'll never know what'll happen."

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Jul 14 2005, 04:27 AM
Andrew shook his head. He couldn't believe it. He was shocked. This, it just couldn't be happening.

"Shit...but hey, it's not your fault. You didn't put us here..."

A thought came to mind, though. He recalled seeing Umi recently, perhaps even...

"Hey, wait...weren't you going on that field trip for school...?" Andrew trailed off.

Posted by: Lien Jul 14 2005, 04:34 AM
"The field trip is where we were captured and taken here," Umi said as they approached the lookout point.

"These people are Daisuke and Aiden, my friends in this mess. They don't bite," she continued with a smile. She patted his hand reassuringly, before returning to her spot at the lookout.

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Jul 14 2005, 04:44 AM
The field trip...

Andrew had to think for a second. Daisuke and Aiden. He tried to think about it. The name Daisuke didn't sound familiar at all, but Aiden he recalled having a couple classes with at school. He'd seemed like the nice guy, as far as he recalled. He looked back at Umi, suddenly wondering something.

"Hey,, the field trip basically got couple people...did you see, on the plane, did you, who went on the field trip - Adam Dodd, for instance?"

Andrew couldn't think of who else went on the trip aside from his best friend, but he was sure there were others he knew.

Posted by: Lien Jul 14 2005, 04:48 AM
Umi turned for a second from her post to respond.

"No... he might have been there, but I hadn't seen him. It would be pretty bad," she bit her lip, "You going to be alright?"

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Jul 14 2005, 07:07 AM
Andrew shook his head. "Probably not."

His eyes then, for a second, moved to his school bag. He had not recalled packing it, and this made him curious. Zipping open the blue knapsack, he ruffled through it for the contents. A few bottles of water, some bread that looked pretty stale, his MP3 player, some paper and pencils, a deck of cards...most of it was just his regular school supplies, things he had with him on a daily basis - that is, until he got to the bottom of the bag. Inside was something he hadn't noticed before, something that was unusual. Pulling it out, he saw that it was a Mauser M1 pistol. This was fairly state of the art, and a very well-reviewed firearm. It could be quite deadly, and it was fairly compact. Andrew stared at the gun, his jaw wide.

"Wow...this...this shit is real, isn't it...? Oh my god..."

Posted by: Lien Jul 14 2005, 02:07 PM
"So, you gound the weapon? Be careful with it, alright?" She said glancing out over the point.

Posted by: Sephy Jul 14 2005, 02:57 PM
Daisuke watched the new arrival, he didn't seem to be a threat, amd Umi knew and trusted him..."So, he's from the same school as you guys?" He asked Umi

Posted by: Lien Jul 14 2005, 03:05 PM
Umi nodded to answer Daisuke's question, before she checked out the various ways up to the point. She couldn't see anything, but the way the had come --the waterfall-- was blocked from the plant life.

Posted by: Sephy Jul 14 2005, 03:08 PM
Dai sighed quietly. ~Most of these people know each other, a lot even seem to be trustworthy...~ he faced the new arrival "hi, i'm Daisuke"

Posted by: MooCow Jul 14 2005, 08:21 PM
OOC: Thanks for bringing me along you two. I love you both... sorry i have been a little busy lately will post soon.

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Jul 14 2005, 11:57 PM
Andrew nodded and wheeled a little closer to Daisuke. He extended his hand.

"Hey, I'm Andrew. Where're you from?"

Posted by: Sephy Jul 15 2005, 08:07 AM
Daisuke blinked a second, before his mind caught up and he took the proffered hand, something as simple and civilised as a handshake could easily be forgotten in "My school was called Shisei high if that's what you mean...." He looked Andrew up and down "'re from, ano...Barry Coleson was it? too, looks like i'm the only transfer student then.."

Posted by: MooCow Jul 15 2005, 06:51 PM
(Continued from:

Aiden had never seen a dead body until today... it had nearly broken his spirit to see a classmate die so horribly like that... even if it was Minase. He hadn't spoken for ages, letting the other two do the talking as tears streamed down his face. He had wanted everyone to get out of this alive... it was obvious that would never happen. Even the chances of one of them making it was slim to none. He barely noticed the new arrival, he thought by the sound of the voice it might have been Andrew.

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Jul 16 2005, 02:36 AM
Andrew looked at Daisuke and nodded. "Seems like it, anyway." Looking over at Umi and Aiden, he noticed Aiden's relatively fragile state. Wheeling over nearer to the boy, he stopped a few feet from him. Andrew remembered seeing Aiden in class, and was on relatively friendly terms with him. He still really couldn't believe all that was going on, though.

"Hey okay? It's Andrew...remember, from history?"

Posted by: Sephy Jul 16 2005, 10:51 PM
Daisuke watched Aiden, concerend about him "...Aiden, Daijo- I mean, are you ok?" ~stupid question, of course he's not ok. oh shut up you~ Daisuke realised he was arguing with himself... ~bad sign~

Posted by: MooCow Jul 17 2005, 12:33 AM
"Hmm..." Aiden mumbled. He shook his head and blinked. Turning to Daisuke he whispered, "I-I'm fine... it's just that... I just never saw anyone die before..."

He looked down.

"Do you guys think we're gonna end up like Minase?"

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Jul 17 2005, 12:56 AM
"Minase?" Andrew cocked his head and looked at the others with an odd look on his face.

"Who's Minase, and what happened to him?"

Posted by: Sephy Jul 17 2005, 08:51 AM
Daisuek was just about to speak when the report started, hurridly shutting up, he heard his name announced as Minase's killer ~oh great now everyone on the island's gonna think i'm a psycho...wait..I am a psycho...~ he took note of the danger zones..~good thing we left the waterfall when we did...~

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Jul 17 2005, 01:18 PM
Andrew took in the announcements with a lump in his throat. As he listened to the sadistic Mr. Danya read off the list of those dead, his gaze rested on Daisuke. He looked at the other boy in a state of shock. Adjusting the wheelchair to face his three companions, he shook his head in disbelief.

"This...this shit's real, isn't it? Damn killed a guy!? Like...really dead?!"

His voice went up an octave, Andrew just beginning to fully realize his situation, and realize how entirely screwed he is.

Posted by: Sephy Jul 17 2005, 02:30 PM
Dai nodded a little "umm, it was..kinda an accident" he trailed off, there really wasn't an excuse, he had killed someone..practically in cold blood.

Posted by: MooCow Jul 17 2005, 08:33 PM
"Oh god," whispered Aiden, "we're dropping like flies. Anya, Minase, Tayli, Niniko, August and Terry... god I was friends with most of them and now... now their all dead... now we'll never see any of them alive again. Daisuke, Umi, I can't loose you guys too."

Posted by: Sephy Jul 17 2005, 08:36 PM
"...I didn't know any of them" Was all Dai could say...he couldn't miss people he'd never met "but don't worry, we won't go down without a fight, we'll leave this goddam place together, I promise"

Posted by: Lien Jul 18 2005, 05:35 PM
((Coming from

He led the way up the hill, his legs pumping from the exertion. The darkness clouded his vision pretty well, as he finally felt the slope lessen....

Umi had built a small fire. It was cold on the top of the point, and she huddled near the fire to keep warm. Her MAC-10 was on her lap, within reach of course.

Then she heard the sound. Had the fire given them away? Her eyes widened and she motioned to Daisuke to be careful.

Please don't let it be another crazy person!

Posted by: Sephy Jul 18 2005, 06:00 PM
Daisuke stopped what he was doing, he heard the sound too, and started reaching for his gun

Posted by: MooCow Jul 19 2005, 03:07 PM
Aiden froze, dead silent. He shakily picked up his gun, but he didn't know if he'd be able to shoot it.

Please be strong Umi and Dai...

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Jul 19 2005, 03:41 PM
Andrew heard the noise, and as everyone else reached for their guns in alarm, he found himself doing the exact same thing, swivelling his chair to the place where everyone seemed to be looking and pulling his pistol out of the pocket on the side. What was going on, he didn't know, but he hoped to God that it didn't end up with bullets fired. He was still in shock about this whole thing, and didn't really know how to properly react.

Posted by: Lien Jul 19 2005, 04:17 PM
Kichiro could see it, the faint light nearing the top, and he froze. Someone was up there, and it could mean the end for his group. The only thing he could figure to do was hope they were friendly, and show that he was no threat.

He raised his voice, calling out to the group as he came into view.

"Look...," he stuttered as he kept his hands in the air, "I- I'm not playing. Neither are my friends. We just need... a place to stay or something, you know?"

The MAC-10 was aimed at the figure as he came into view. It was a boy, probably asian of some sort from his eyes, which were wide with fear as he kept his hands raised.

Umi looked at Daisuke, "I'm checking him out."

She stepped up to him and patted him down.

"Where are you friends?"

Posted by: Sephy Jul 19 2005, 04:41 PM
Dai watched Umi interact wiht the other person..~he looks asain, please kami-sama don't let him be from Shisei..I don't recognise him...

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Jul 19 2005, 08:23 PM
Keeping his gun tucked closely to his side but not making any sudden moves (not that he could really make any noticable ones as it was), Andrew watched Umi go and check out the new arrivals. This was dead serious, and he kept silent as he watched the goings-on. As for the others, he glanced over and saw Aiden pointing his gun, his hand shaking noticably, while Daisuke glared at the new arrival like he had two heads.

This is these guys open up and start shooting I'm a goner...

Posted by: Sephy Jul 19 2005, 08:28 PM
Daisuke's hand tightened around his gun, if this new guy was one of the kids from Shisei, he'd have to shoot fast

Kiyoko Followed Kichiro up the hill still holding the flail in her right hand,When a small bundle of grey smoke rose up into the air .

'People here? Wouldnt someone notice the fire and well.. yeah probibally'.

Kiyoko thought as she stopped a few steps away from Kichiro as a girl walked towards Kichiro and patted him down. In the girl's right hand was what looked like a tin dessert box with a handle and a trigger. Kiyoko looked at the girl patting down Kichiro and said "dochirasama? (who are you?)"

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Jul 19 2005, 11:22 PM
Andrew blinked in surprise as one of the other newcomers came into view. He was even more surprised as some words came out of their mouth in a foreign language. Andrew didn't know any other language, and as such just kept his mouth shut as he looked at the newcomers. He couldn't help but wonder if they were dangerous - if they were, they certainly wouldn't be scared of a kid in a wheelchair.

Posted by: NyteDarkness Jul 20 2005, 07:04 AM

Cassandra caught up with them as well, once again being a little bit behind in case of followers. Perhaps she was being paranoid about that, but caution was needed in this game. She ran out behind her allies and saw a few more figures in the distance, one of them appeared to be in a wheelchair. Well, she thought, at least she wasn't the only one with a physical disability on this island.

She heard Kichiro telling the others that none of them weren't playing, she just lowered her gun and nodded in agreement. Hopefully none of them were playing, either.

Posted by: Sephy Jul 20 2005, 02:19 PM
He noticed the other arrivals, while Umi was still searching the boy, hearing the girl that arrived speak in his native language, he replied in Japanese to her "anata wa Nihon-jin desu ka?" (are you Japanese?)

Posted by: Kuze Jul 20 2005, 07:01 PM
Kiyoko looked up at the lookout point to see a boy calling down to her in the only language she knew.

"Hai,nipponjin(Yes,I'm Japenese)"

Kiyoko nodded as she said that ."dochirasama?(Who are you?)" Kiyoko motioned towards the boy with her free hand.

Posted by: Sephy Jul 20 2005, 07:45 PM
"Watashi wa Andou Daisuke desu, Anata Wa?" (I am Daisuke Andou, and you?) His native language easily came back to him as he spoke.

Posted by: Kuze Jul 20 2005, 08:17 PM
"Watashi wa Asakawa,Kiyoko(I am Asakawa,Kiyoko)" Kiyoko spoke to Daisuke who didnt seem like he was going to shoot them but looks can be deceiving.

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Jul 20 2005, 09:36 PM
Andrew sat, motionless except for his head which swivelled back and forth, assessing all of the new arrivals. Daisuke and one of the girls seemed to be conversing rapidly in another language, while Umi still seemed to be looking all of them over. Aiden hadn't moved nor said too much, and Andrew figured him to be in shock moreso than anything. He kept wondering as to what was going on, simply because he didn't speak Japanese, or Chinese, or whatever the hell the other two were speaking, and Umi up until this point had been fairly quiet as well. Figuring it wouldn't hurt, he wheeled his chair over to the group of the outsiders, and kinda gave a half-wave at them all.

"Hey, uh...what's up, guys? I'm Andrew Lipson..."

Posted by: Lien Jul 21 2005, 02:37 AM
Umi nodded toward the boy, the group seemed to already mingle quite nicely. They didn't want trouble.

As Andrew introduced himself, she walked back to the fire. She wasn't wanting to get into festivities, or getting attached to anyone else. Two were already close to her heart in the game.

Kichiro looked down at the guy in the wheelchair.

"Hey, I'm Kichiro, nice to meet you, though I'd rather it be away from this game."

Kiyoko was in a conversation with one from the other group. So, there were others who were japanese too, that was a plus.

"So, um," he added toward the one talking to Kiyoko, "You speak Japanese too. She can't speak a lick of english so you might have to translate for them. Her name is Kiyoko, to anyone who didn't get the introduction."

Posted by: NyteDarkness Jul 21 2005, 07:21 AM
Perhaps Cassandra should've taken those Japanese lessons her mom had offered to pay for, then she could understand what Kiyoko was saying. She felt a little left out as it seemed a lot of others could understand, but then again there were others like her who were absolutely clueless. She began to worry about travelling with all these people, big groups have better chance of traitors and one bad egg could kill them all. No, no, she had to trust them as much as she could. No point in getting paranoid, or she might be the one to snap.

She walked a bit closer and introduced herself, "I'm Cassandra. Cassandra Roivas. I'm not going to know anyone here either." she said.

She was careful to aim her shotgun down at the ground and take her finger off the trigger, she didn't want to start any fights because she looked too hostile.

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Jul 21 2005, 07:29 AM
Andrew looked at the group of people he was currently hanging around. It seemed that each of them refused to want to know anyone else. He began to feel increasingly unwelcome amongst everyone, both the group of Umi, Aiden and Daisuke, as well as Cassandra and her group. He DID want to stay with a group, and going off on his own could be suicidal with him in his wheelchair. He had a gun, but...

Andrew sighed pretty loudly. It was clear that both groups didn't seem to be welcoming anyone else. He spoke aloud.

"Hey, guys all seem to be, uh...pretty tight and all, and like, I don't want to get in the way of any of that, you know? So, uh, maybe I should just take off, y'know?"

Posted by: Sephy Jul 21 2005, 10:42 AM
Daisuek rolled his eyes, he knew what everyone else was thinking, they were all thinking that they shouldn't get attatched the a lrge group "reality check here guys, we all start acting like Mr unfriendly and someones gonna pull a trigger"

Posted by: Lien Jul 21 2005, 04:38 PM
Kichiro nodded, "Exactly what I was thinking. I mean, come on! A large group like this could probably take down this game, right? Some of us speak a language they probably can't understand. We could... plan or something right?"

Kichiro was babbling nervously. The thought of anyone pulling the trigger, especially if it was Cassandra or the girl at the fire, would end in a massacre.

Umi heard what Daisuke said, but she still wasn't going to be overly friendly. It was for her sake to stay alive, she didn't want to be best friends with everyone on this game.

"Look," she said, looking at the newcomers," we all should be getting some rest while we can. Some people can take watch, and we'll switch in shifts... that is, if you trust us."

Her response to Andrew was different. She knew him, and the odds of him rushing off into the wrong area... that waterfall... might get him killed.

"Don't you even think of leaving, Andrew," she snapped, "You'll die in a split second."

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Jul 21 2005, 05:41 PM
Andrew was taken aback by the harshness of Umi's comment. There was so much tension in the air, and it was making him very uncomfortable. It was odd how such a lack of trust was flying around by people who if they met up in the real world, would probably get along relatively well. He sighed, and looked up at Umi. "What's tha matter, no faith in me, now?"

Problem was, and he hated admitting it to himself, was that she was exactly right. In a game like this, a situation like this, he was screwed unless he found a group to stick by. Even still, if guns went off, he wouldn't be able to get out of the way like anyone else would - and he might find himself screwed either way.

"Man...this sucks..." he muttered to himself, just surmising his whole situation in general.

Posted by: Lien Jul 21 2005, 05:49 PM
Her response was simple, "Faith in you is not the question. Who the hell trusts this game? Those crazy assholes off somewhere drinking tea or coffee?! Sitting on their asses and probably laughing like it's some damn sitcom... I sure as hell don't trust them. So,"
she said motioning to the other group, "Are any of you going to pull together with us to take them down?"

She held the gun in her left hand and stood to face the group. Her right hand stuck out to shake the hand of the boy, who seemed to be the leader.

"So, are you in?"

Kichiro grasped the girl's hand in his and shook it. "I'm in," he answered quietly. Then he saw her face, got a really good look.

He could see past the normal white skin to see asian features. The nose, the shape of her eyes. Except instead of dark eyes, they shone a bright green.

Get a hold of yourself. You've already made that dumb mistake once with Kiyoko. Just stop worrying about it, she can't possibly be here.

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Jul 21 2005, 05:58 PM
Andrew nodded at Umi - she had a point, and a good one. Besides - knowing how the terrain was, if he got stuck in a hole or something on his own, he could die of starvation or dehydration if he ran out of supplies. It was a shitty situation, but for now he'd have to make do.

Looking at Umi, he shrugged. "So...what do we do next?"

As he took in Kichiro shaking Umi's hand, he got a bit of a glimpse of the other boy's face. There certainly were quite a few Asians that were in this game. Andrew couldn't help but wonder if that was a purposeful intent on the behalf of the kidnappers, or if it had just worked out that way. Each of them were likely here for a purpose. Every terrorist surely had a method to their madness.

So what was his?!

Posted by: Sephy Jul 21 2005, 07:01 PM
Daisuke watched the boy speaking to Umi, he didn't look like a Shisei boy, he decided to keep an eye on him anyway, turning back to the Japanese girl he told her baisically what Umi had just said, and that they weren't playing

Posted by: MooCow Jul 21 2005, 08:49 PM
"Maybe we should take shifts," Aiden suggested, " if we're going to rest. I mean of course we'll need to, we don't want some opportunist to come and... err. Umi, Daisuke and I can take first shift if you all want... maybe together... amongst ourselves I mean... all of us of course... we could maybe... we can think up some course of action... I really would hate to team up without any plan because you know otherwise we're basically all just keeping eachother alive... to kill eachother in the end. Fighting amongst ourselves will get us no where but well dead, and that's exactly what Danya and the rest of the terrorists want... we need to fight back... revolution style... what do you guys think?"

Posted by: Sephy Jul 21 2005, 09:07 PM
Dai moved back over to Aiden, speaking softly so only Aiden could hear "you ok? don't be nervous ne? I'm here"

Posted by: MooCow Jul 21 2005, 09:10 PM
"I'm fine Dai, honestly," Aiden said getting a bit irritated, "maybe my arm bleeding is making me crazy, or probably this game altogether... I wish we could all go home... we have to find a way of this island... together."

He looked to Umi and the others and forced a smile.

Posted by: Sephy Jul 21 2005, 09:18 PM
"I promise you Aiden, we'll leave together, i'll look out for you" Daisuke smiled at the shorter boy

Posted by: Lien Jul 21 2005, 11:42 PM
"Well, hey, look," Kichiro nodded towards the smoke that was billowing up nearby. It mesmerized him for a split second, his eyes rising up with the smoke.

"Look, don't get any ideas," Umi started.

Kichiro nodded slightly, but he was worried. He couldn't put his finger on it, but he knew that his sister had to be here. He could feel she was there, and she could very well be in that fire.

"I..have to go," he replied quickly and ran.

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Jul 21 2005, 11:54 PM
Andrew watched Kichiro oddly run off towards the flames. His behavior was beyond bizarre, and Andrew figured that to run into fire was certain death. His condition prevented him from chasing after the boy, so he looked up at Umi on the cliff up top and yelled to her.

"Hey Umi! I thought we were all going to stay together, what's he doing?" He said as he pointed to Kichiro.

Posted by: Lien Jul 22 2005, 12:03 AM
Umi shook her head in disbelief. That kid was going to die. What could she do but stare dumbfoundedly? She couldn't run after him.

Kichiro was down the hill when he heard someone yelling something from back in the group, he couldn't make out the name, but he didn't have the time. His sister could be there in that fire! He had to find her.

Kiyoko turned around whan Kichiro walked away "Kichiro torikaesu acchi!! (Kichiro Get back here!!)" Kiyoko yelled towards him but it was too late he was already gone "unchi, unchi, unchi (shit, shit, shit)"

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Jul 22 2005, 05:04 AM
Andrew turned his head and looked at everyone.

"So now what the hell do we do?"

He shook his head. Things were beginning to degenerate, and he didn't like it one bit.

"Guess we won't be seeing him again" Dai realised his last sentance had sounded very cruel..~well i'm just being truthful~ He looked towards the Japanese girl ~If she can't speak english...looks like I just became an unofficial translator~

A Note to the Reader: Although Daisuke is technically in the thread beyond this point, he has no action or dialogue. Therefore, his link to the next segment of his story shall be provided in this topic.

Andrew couldn't help it - the comment that Daisuke said with seeming sarcasm made him shudder. This is FUCKED. How many more people are going to go running off to die? At least they can run.

Seeing Daisuke start to think intently, he shivered again. He needed to talk to someone, get some sort of conversation going. It was too quiet, too serious. Andrew wasn't prepared for levity - he was pissed off beyond all means, but he just needed some noise. The silence was deafening in it's own way.

Wheeling over to the top of the cliff, he braked beside Umi, who he saw was looking out over the cliff. She looked glum, he noticed. At least, that was how he saw it.

I'm sure I just look fucking peachy myself.

"Yo...Umi. I know we're all just chillin' here for now and all, but does anyone have a plan or anything? Yo, without a plan, we're just sitting ducks here."

Posted by: Lien Jul 24 2005, 07:45 AM
Umi turned to Andrew to answer, "The problem with that is that there's no way to plan in secret. At least... not that we know of. We were trying to bounce off ideas earlier, but then you kind of fell from the sky."

She looked back out, over towards the smoke.

"I wonder what happened to Kichiro."

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Jul 24 2005, 07:52 AM
Andrew shook his head.

"I just hope he didn't go running in there, you know? You inhale too much of that, and guy, you're fucked. I'm sorry to say but if he went running in there, he probably ain't comin' out."

"It's just so much senseless death, you know? I don't get it. Like are we supposed to be entertaining these guys, or what? It just doesn't make sense to me."

Posted by: Lien Jul 24 2005, 08:02 AM
Umi shivered unintentionally.

"This is broadcast on television. And it makes me sick to think that it actually might have viewers."

She started to shift nervously.

"Look, talking about this game is just going to put us on edge. Why not try something else? How about what was going on before this game? I don't think me and you kept in touch a whole lot...."

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Jul 24 2005, 08:08 AM
Andrew agreed vehemently. "Yeah, you're right. Fuck this game."

He leaned back in his chair, and sighed as she brought up the fact that they hadn't really spoken much in the past year. He drummed nervously on his right leg with his fingers.

"Well,'re right. To be honest, after...well, this..." He guestured to his legs. "...after this happened, I kinda didn't talk to anyone really. Maybe Dodd a bit, but that was it. Really fucked me up good, you know? I used to play hockey, I used to play pool...and I guess not being able to do most of that shit anymore, it just hurts a lot, you know? I kinda shut down, I didn't really socialize much."

He sighed.

"I know the Andrew that hung around with you a bit in grade 9 is still here, somewhere, but I guess after the accident I became really disillusioned with everything. Kinda sucks that this whole thing had to happen, because honestly, things were starting to look up. It's actually my birthday on the 25th..."

He blinked.

"Well hell, I guess that's tomorrow, huh? Fuck, looks like I will live to see 18. Barely. Heh."

Cassandra watched as Kichiro ran off into the distance, she wa going to follow but dared not, he was going into danggerous territory. He didn't seem to be too willing to reconsider either. She didn't like the thought of not having Kichiro there, he was sort of the voice in their little group and the only one that really seemed to trust Cassandra. Kiyoko still seemed rather suspicious with the way she handled her weapon, though it was dangerous to really trust anyone too much in this game.

She didn't know anyone in this new group at all, of course, no one from her old school was here. Just her. What rotten luck she had. Were any of her former classmates watching her on TV? Were there really some sadists out there making a bet on this twisted game? What is someone had bet on her, or worse, what if someone bet against her? No matter, she most likely wouldn't live to see the results. No, wait, that wasn't the kind of thing to think about right now, she thought, even though Kichiro was gone someone had to have a plan to get off of this forsaken island. Besides, she did have her shotgun if anything went wrong. She wasn't too experienced with guns, but judging by the screams of the first two people she came into contact with it was a pretty damn powerful gun.

Though Cassandra was still quite wary of Kiyoko, this Umi person seemed trustworthy, and the guy in the wheelchair...well, she could sort of sympathize with him. They both had pretty darn big physical handicaps that could cost them their lives. If Cassandra were to hurt her good hand in any way, she wouldn't have any means of using a weapon.

She walked in closer to the group so she could hear what they were saying, she wasn't really the kind of person to just jump into any conversation, perhaps someone would talk to her soon. Or perhaps not, which might be better for her.

Posted by: Kuze Jul 24 2005, 09:11 PM
Kiyoko placed her flail on the ground and tucked her legs towards her her body.I have no choice but to trust this group yet i have to talk through Andou.

"Andou, sukuuru onushi yori? (Andou,What school are you from?)"

Kiyoko said tring to strike up a conversation with the only person who she can talk to

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Jul 25 2005, 07:17 PM
Andrew sighed as he sat back in his chair.

This shit sucks, man.

As he conversed with Umi, he noticed one of the other girls, whom he didn't recognize creep over and start to eavesdrop a little. Andrew didn't mind, for really, if they were being broadcast on television, everyone was going to know what they were saying anyways.

"So, Umi...see anything interesting down there, aside from flames?"

He shook his head. The lookout point seemed to be a little useless at this point thanks to the smoke that was billowing over the island. He glanced at the silent girl, and addressed her.

"Hey, and where're you from? I don't remember seeing you before..."

Posted by: MooCow Jul 26 2005, 01:12 AM
Aiden's arm hurt bad. He walked towards Umi, Andrew and Dai.

"I hope I'm not imposing?"

He like Andrew, also noticed the other girl eavesdropping, oh well he thought, he smiled at her and waved, half trying to be friendly to their new guest and half trying to let her know what a terrible job she was doing, spying.

Posted by: Kuze Jul 26 2005, 01:33 AM
Kiyoko looked up at the boy in the wheel chair who,as expected, Spoke in english

"ainiku, funiochinai (sorry,I dont understand you)"

Kiyoko mumbled as she looked at the boy in the wheelchair with her glasses slightly offcenter.

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Jul 26 2005, 05:21 AM
Andrew looked at the Japanese girl and shrugged, shaking his head.

"I'm guessing she doesn't speak English, right? Shit..."

Daisuke seemed indisposed with his own thoughts for the time being, so Andrew motioned at himself. "Andrew." He couldn't help but grin and gave a thumbs-up sign to the girl.

Posted by: NyteDarkness Jul 26 2005, 07:02 AM
Cassandra looked towards the group and noticed quite a few people were paying attention to her. That was an oddity, she thought, if she doesn't say anything usually no one ever talks to her. Nobody seemed scared of her or hostile towards her, that was a very good thing indeed. Perhaps in this group she could even make some new friends. At least she would have friends with her if she died, she thought.

"I'm Cassandra Roivas, and none of you are going to know me. I'm one of the kids from a different school," she said, "If you have any plans or anything I'd be more than happy to help. I'd do just about anything to get off this damned island."

She regretted saying that last part right away. By just about anything of course she didn't mean that she would kill everyone, but it may have came off that way.

Posted by: Lien Jul 27 2005, 02:41 AM
Umi nodded towards Cassandra.

"I feel the same way, though right now it seems like we'll have to bide our time and wait for someone to get an idea on how to communicate a plan. Wish I would've taken language instead of biology now," she replied to the growing group, laughing nervously.

Posted by: MooCow Jul 27 2005, 04:56 AM
"Hi," Aiden smiled at Cassandra, "we're open to all the help we can get. Your definately welcome."

God his arm hurt so bad.

"Do you have any ideas? I was thinking if we can some kind of outside communication," he turned to the others, "via a laptop, we might have a chance... the only problem is that i'm sure they have a knowledge of every language out there which is why we need to think outside the box..." Aiden smiled half heartedly... "anyone know klingon?"

Posted by: Lien Jul 27 2005, 03:25 PM
"Psshh, a Star Trek fan? I kind of pegged you to be a Star Wars nut," Umi said smiling at Aiden. "It's good to hear you talking again," she continued as she gave him a big hug, "I was worried there for awhile, you know? Seemed like you weren't coming out of it."

Posted by: MooCow Jul 27 2005, 05:22 PM
Aiden laughed and hugged her back, "I can't really say I'm feeling much better to tell you the truth, but I think I'm thinking straight again... I just hope we can avoid insepticimia."

He gave Umi a wry smile as the embrace ended, "and who says I'm a trekkie! Actually I think I've seen maybe one Star Trek episode in my day... or was it a movie, I dunno... whatever it was I couldn't really follow it. I have however seen Daddy Day Care, and that's enough to know that there are ways of communicating without these assholes listening in..." Aiden moved back, smiled and fumbled for a piece of paper from his pack and motioned the others in. Pulling out a notebook and pen, he began to write.

'The government will recognize world languages, like Dai's native Japanese for instance, but if we use something obscure, we can hit them in their blind spot... they'll never know what we're saying. We know there are cameras, but there have to be places that they haven't placed them. I bet that we can find some computers or maybe even a laptop at the schoolhouse.'

He pointed to the his map and the location of the school.

'If we can find those, and a blindspot, all we need is a cell phone with a working phone line...'

He held up his mobile and grinned.

'I already checked and text messages work, so i assume that these terrorists think there's no way we could hack the system anyway... basically their rubbing in our faces how dumb they think we are. I bet if we send anyone any important information though, they'll blow our collars in an instant... I'm no computer wiz or anything, but they have to have some kind of net access to be pulling something like this off... there communicating to places away from this island I know it... we can utilize that... we just need to find someone smart enough to get us connected..."

He looked up questioningly at his comrades.

'After that all we need to do is find a basic instant message system... it's not plausible to use pig latin or klingon because those vary from the easily cracked codes to the nearly impossible to understand... unless one of you is a trekkie, then we just need to find some star trek geek (no offense) and they can inform Amanda's father and the government of where we are... I bet they are searching for us already especially with the Vice President's daughter here... if none of us has any idea how to speak it, theres no use in trying to learn, we'll be dead before that ever happens... this is where I'm stuck though... any code we make that can be broken by someone on the outside, I'm sure could be broken by these monsters... I'm kinda stuck here. I know it's a longshot, but it's all we have... we need to let people know where we are, without letting Danya and his goons know that they know.'

Aiden sat back and spoke in a barely audible whisper, "theres gotta be some way for people to find us."

This was all very risky, and Aiden was surely open to any other plans his friends might have to offer... even on the off chance that they arranged a gettaway, there was still the issue of the collars, not to mention the fact that cameras were watching their every move, still Aiden felt that their only hope was through some kind of outside assistance and he hoped that Umi, Dai, Andrew, Cassandra and the others would all agree.

"Any other ideas?"

He knew it was flawed, but maybe just maybe this plan could be perfected.

Posted by: MooCow Jul 28 2005, 06:39 PM
Before anyone could answer Danya made his rant about the deathes and... painfully, the fanfictions. Aiden blushed bright crimson... people out there were writing smut about him and Dai. The thought made him a bit sick... that kind of stuff was something Aiden liked to keep private... and people were writing about it... he looked at Dai nervously, then glanced at Umi who must have been utterly horrified about the fanfitions about her and Kichiro... the sickos. And still Aiden felt guilty... nine classmates had lost their lives in the last several hours and all Aiden could do was feel embarressed about the public imposing on his love life.

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Jul 28 2005, 07:19 PM
Andrew shrugged at Aiden. "Well, I don't have any myself, but it's worth a try..."

The way that Andrew looked at it, any plan with any chance of success was better than dying in this game. He'd already almost died in the real world, and the real world was where he planned to die, not in some sick terrorist's game.

He reached into his knapsack and pulled out his cell-phone. He had realized that it was with him earlier on but hadn't bothered trying to call out. He hadn't had any signal and if there really were mics on the collars, they'd likely be detonated immediately if he tried calling out.

Perhaps he wouldn't try calling out? Maybe he'd try calling from one person to another on the island? He wondered if they'd let Adam keep his phone. If Andrew was going to escape, he wanted his best friend with him. He looked at the little device, and frowned. No signal. Perhaps if he got to higher the rain began to fall, Andrew cursed silently. That was just wonderful. He moved the joystick on the side so that the wheelchair's motor moved him up towards the highest point on the lookout.

Posted by: MooCow Jul 28 2005, 11:39 PM
"Andrew where are you going," Aiden called, but he was gone.

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Jul 29 2005, 06:36 PM
Andrew moved his wheelchair up to the highest point on the entire island. As he turned to look at the island itself, he was taken completely aback by it's beauty, and just simply how MUCH of it there was. Looking down, he saw what looked like a series of jagged rocks, and a shore of sorts to the left, and to his right he saw a forest, the open fields, and much more of the island. It was incredible, to be honest. The rain made it look almost magical, a description that Andrew figured hardly fit in such a situation like this. Magical. What would be magical would be if we could get off of this hell-hole.

Looking down at his silver metallic cell-phone, he couldn't help but grin with joy as he saw two bars of signal. Figuring that they'd probably wouldn't have any qualms about him calling another person on the island on his cell phone, he quickly dialed in the number of one Adam Dodd, his best friend. The way he looked at it, he would either be able to meet up with Adam, or if he got lucky and he somehow avoided getting put on the island, he'd get a lifeline out. Which would be key in having an escape plan. As he pressed the 'SEND' button, he couldn't help but think of a song that he had been arguing Adam about before they had left...he couldn't think of the one. A big smile flashed upon his face though, as the phone began to ring.

And finally, a voice on the other end. Andrew grinned widely.

"DODD! It's Lipson!"

The voice on the other end spoke a little, and Andrew sighed.

"Wait, wait...let me're stuck on some island with a collar on your neck and there are wackos trying to get you to kill your friends...?"

The voice on the other end let out a disappointed sigh.

"...because I'm fuckin' stuck here too, man. They kidnapped me in the middle of the goddamned night!"

The voice became angry on the other end, but Andrew let him rave for a moment.

"Dude...shit...this is so messed up, guy. But I'm with a bunch of people, we have a plan to try and get out!"

The excitement on the other end of the line was completely evident.

"Uh, let's see...Umi Martin, Aiden Ambrose, and three kids who aren't from our school, a guy name Daisuke, a girl named Cassandra, and an Asian girl who doesn't speak English whose name I don't know. What about you...? Got anyone with you?"

Andrew listened for a moment, pangs of recognition and a smile going across his face as he did so.

"Alright man, it's a fuckin' party where you are." He chuckled. "Now look, here's what I think we should do...we need to meet up, and we can get off of this rock, you know? So why don't we-"

It was at that exact moment that everything lit up like the sky on the 1st of July. Andrew stiffened as he felt an odd sensation going down his body. He tingled a little, and he found it quite odd. His fist clenched the cell phone, but his arm fell dead to his side. He tried moving it, but to no avail.

What the fuck?

His wheelchair abruptly spun to the right, and then to the left. Andrew was perplexed. What was happening?

It was at that moment that he remembered the song that him and Adam had been arguing about. He hadn't believed that it was Aerosmith that Eminem had sampled for his hit 'Sing for the Moment' and upon the two listening to the song, Andrew had realized that Adam had been right.

Strange thing to think about now...

He glanced over at his companions, all of whom were looking at him with a look of complete shock. Andrew was infinitely confused. What was going on? He looked down at his arm and then - he KNEW. His arm, and his hand, were a mass of burnt flesh, and the cell phone that he held in his hand - the reason that it hadn't fallen as he dropped it was because it had been fused to his hand.

Andrew Lipson had been hit by lightning.

As he felt his wheelchair completely power off, a dull feeling settled into the pit of his stomach - if the power was off, that surely meant that the brakes...

As he began to feel himself moving backwards, all he could think of was that song...

Every time that I look in the mirror
all these lines on my face getting clearer
the past is gone;
it went by like dusk to dawn
Isn't that the way?
Everybody's got their dues in life to pay

The wheelchair rolled slowly back towards the edge of the lookout point, and towards the rocks near-to the Eastern shore below. As Andrew felt the ground leave him, his life flashed before his eyes...

...playing with action figures as a four-year old, playing with his father in their backyard. Happy, and not a care in the world...

...playing roller-hockey, and meeting a red-headed kid who wasn't too bad at the game at all, the guy soon becoming a close friend of his...

...absolutely ruining any and everyone in the pool circuit at his school, grinning as he sunk every single ball before his opponent had a chance to shoot...

...watching his sister come home from the hospital, and as a six-year old knowing that he'd need to be a big brother now...

...the moments before his accident, Andrew drumming his feet on the underside of the car, wondering what kind of bruises he'd get at the paintball range... in the hospital, struggling with many sleepless nights facing the fact that he'd never walk again...

...that last day, wishing Adam and the others goodbye onto a trip he wouldn't be able to go on...

...that he'd end up going on anyways, waking up in a ditch with a gun in his pack and a collar around his neck...

Andrew felt free-fall for a moment, and he had to admit, the feeling was incredible. He felt weightless, and for a moment it seemed like he could fly...

Yeah, I know nobody knows
where it comes and where it goes
I know it's everybody's sin
you got to lose to know how to win...

As his body rotated down in the free-fall, he saw the rocks coming up quickly. As a natural instinct, he raised his one good arm, trying to protect himself from the impact. Such a move would be futile.

I'm going to die...oh god...

The impact wasn't what Andrew had expected it to be. His arm hit the rocks first, shattering the majority of the bones inside of it, and sending it wrenching out of its socket to a rather disgusting-looking position behind him. Amazingly enough, the arm managed to actually take away from some of the impact, and when he landed on his shoulder, it was only a severely broken collarbone that he would feel break. He felt himself bounce off of the rocks, and that was when his wheelchair, which had come loose during his fall and bounced off of a portrusion in the cliffs, hit him and sent him hurtling towards the beach...

Half my life's in books' written pages
live and learn from fools and from sages
you know it's true
all the things come back to you

The surprise to Andrew at this point was the cool sand that he felt against his face as he hit the beach face-first. This was amazing. He was ALIVE. As he looked out towards the water, he couldn't help but manage a small grimace. Andrew Lipson, the crippled teenager, the one who nobody thought would last - survives a fall down a cliff! Fucken' eh!

Andrew analyzed himself quickly. He couldn't move his arms, and obviously his legs didn't work, so any damage to them he wouldn't even realize. Perhaps if he got any kind of feeling back into his arm; which happened to be lying in front of him, cell-phone completely welded into his hand, he would be able to pull himself up and find someone who could help put him back together. Andrew figured that now was time to play the waiting ga-

His heart immediately sank, as he looked at the time reflected on his cell-phone. It was evening, and the tides...

...the tides...

It all made sense now...the cool sand on his face, the rain...the sand was cool not because of the rain, but because of the fact that he was so close to the ocean...

Andrew Lipson, the paralyzed boy who had survived a fall down the cliff, couldn't help it, as tears flowed down his face. He silently cursed God. It wasn't fair. How was it that he could survive a fall down a cliff, but then be cursed to die like this? If only he could roll over onto his back, he'd be okay. All he had to do was turn onto his back. That was it.

And he couldn't. Try as he might, he couldn't do it.

Sing with me, sing for the years
sing for the laughter and sing for the tears
sing it with me now, if it's just for today
an' maybe tomorrow the good Lord will take you away...

As the water began to brush up against his face, all he could think about was that one seemed so long ago since he had listened to it...but the words, they came so clearly...

Sing with me, sing for the years
sing for the laughter and sing for the tears
sing it with me now, if it's just for today
an' maybe tomorrow the good Lord will take you away...

As the water flowed over his face, Andrew futiley tried to hold his breath, which caused one more single tear to roll down the part of his face not yet covered by the water.

What's even the point...? I want my mommy...

And as those last thoughts echoed through his head, all that he heard as he choked and swallowed the salty water which quickly filled his lungs, and as his consciousness, his life filtered away into the water...

Dream on, dream on, dream on,
dream yourself a dream come true
dream on, dream on, dream on,
and dream until your dream comes true...

...Andrew Lipson, Boy #16....DEAD.

"Oh my fucking God," Aiden cupped his hand over his mouth as he watched Andrew disappear through the rainy mist and off the edge of the steep cliff.

Posted by: BRmitsuko12 Jul 29 2005, 10:43 PM
As Chi reached the top of the cliff she was supposed to jump off, she saw more people. They looked pretty appauled by something.
*Ah fuck* she thought to herself, *I can't kill myself with people watching me.*
"Excuse me," she looked at the boy closest to her...oh I think I know him. "Aiden? Is that your name?"
When she saw his hand over his mouth, looking shocked, Chi asked, "Are you okay?"

Posted by: MooCow Jul 30 2005, 03:05 AM
"Oh my God," Aiden scarcly noticed Chi, but still he managed to respond... "Andrew... oh my God... he just fell of the top of... oh my God..."

Tears began to trickle down his face.

Umi began to shake uncontrollably after the announcement. Perhaps it was the "fame" the game was getting, or maybe it was the number of deaths in this report. But what really knocked her senseless, what really caused her mind to start to crack, was the fact that her own brother - a brother she had not even known existed - was killed. And she hadn't even tried to save him. She let him go, she let him run away from her when he could have been safe in her group.

She dropped the MAC-10, the gun sliding from her finger tips as she began to feel the guilt wash over her. Umi was completely numb, even as she was only a few feet away from where Andrew fell off the cliff to his death. His body washed over wish the waves, and tears welled up in her eyes. They weren't for him. They weren't even for Kichiro.

Those tears that welled up in her eyes were for the hatred she had for Mr. Danya. The plain truth was that she wanted to kill him, she wanted to make him pay for this sadistic game he was playing. And she was going to do it one way or another.

"Y-you..." she mumbled as her voice caught in her throat. "You son of a bitch. You no good piece of shit! How are you considered human!"

Her eyes found what looked like a small camera, and she focused on it intently as she continued her speech.

"I am personally going to rip your eyes out so you can watch yourself die! I'm going to use every bone in my body to make you pay for what you've done, and I will--" she cut short.

There was something wrong.

"Hey... guys? Which one of you knows about cameras?"

Posted by: BRmitsuko12 Jul 30 2005, 10:09 PM
Chi looked at the girl who just spoke. She recognized her. Usually Chi never took time in school to even agknowledge the "girls without makeup," but she did notice that Umi was part Japanese.
Cameras? Chi didn't know anything about cameras. She knew that they were on the island, watching her every move (which was why she had to be especially sexy) but nothing else.
Instead her eyes focused on the MAC-10 that Umi had just dropped, and went to pick it up. Maybe, because everyone was still in a state of shock, no one would notice.

Hearing Umi's rant, Kiyoko turned around to face Umi and the newcomer who was focused on the gun that Umi dropped. Sliding over next to Umi's leg where the gun was, Kiyoko placed her hand on the gun so the newcomer wouldnt get any ideas.

"iyada, nyuukamaa (no way, Newcomer)"

Posted by: Lien Jul 30 2005, 10:36 PM
Regaining her senses as the wheels started turning in her brain, she kept silent. Umi noticed the two asian girls heading toward her feet. For a second she couldn't realize why, but then she realized the lack of weight in her arms. The gun was at her feet, and apparently some people wanted it.

As the girl in the glasses put a hand upon the MAC-10, Umi swiftly picked it up in her right hand. Her left hand steadily aimed it toward the other girl moving towards her.

"Back off."

Posted by: BRmitsuko12 Jul 30 2005, 10:40 PM
*Unbelievable* Chi thought to herself. This was turning out to be more frustrating than ever.
She looked at the girl who touched the gun. She spoke in Japanese "(I am just trying to protect myself)." she said to her. "(Do you even know what these people are saying, or planning to do? You don't speak English do you?)" Chi shook her head, "(Pity...They are planning to kill you, you know. They don't like you, they're just using you because they want your bag of stuff.)" She pointed. "(They're ruthless I tell you. You know they all hate you. They think you're ugly and stupid. I know, what horrible people!)" She put her hand to her forehead and pretended to look faint. "(So take the gun, and come with me. You see, Americans hate us all. They're only jealous.)" Chi flashed a sweet smile at the girl.

Posted by: Kuze Jul 30 2005, 11:21 PM
Kiyoko's eyes widened with anger at the newcomer's statement,Feeling offended and appauled at her and her attempt to be smug.

"kutabare! bainin ikeike. riibu kon! (Fuck you! smug bitch. Leave now!)"

Kiyoko yelled at the newcomer as she stood up and got into her face.

Posted by: BRmitsuko12 Jul 31 2005, 12:00 AM
Chi started to cry. She walked to the edge of the lookout point and looked down. It was so far. She turned around and yelled in English, "I just came up here to jump off the cliff! Can't you leave me in peace!?!" She glanced at the other boy and girl standing in front of her.

Posted by: Lien Jul 31 2005, 12:02 AM
"Kiyoko," she called softly to the girl from Kichiro's group. Whatever the other asian had said had seemed to piss her off good. Umi gave Kiyoko a look of sympathy, as if to apologize, then glared off at the other.

"I said back off, Kiyoko is with us, and if you said something to offend her you better leave now. If she decides to kill you, we're not going to interfere. Or, if you decide to jump off. I suppose you'll have company, Andrew just met a horrible fate down there."

Posted by: BRmitsuko12 Jul 31 2005, 12:23 AM
"oh." Chi looked off as if expecting to see the boy. "He was the one in a wheelchair right? Sorry I didn't know him, did you?"

Posted by: Lien Jul 31 2005, 12:27 AM
"Well," Umi said plainly, obviously bitter as she assumed the girl couldn't care less, "let's put it this way; I cared a lot more about him dying than I will if you take a trip down there."

She turned away from the girl, letting this new feeling wash over her as she put out the already dim fire.

Posted by: BRmitsuko12 Jul 31 2005, 12:32 AM
"Hey," Chi said to the girl, looking kind of awkward. Chi remembered what she was doing therre in the first place. "Have any of you seen Wednesday? Wednesday Garci? I just..." For the first time in the game, she began to feel sad. "I just need to find her. Please, if you know," she was pleading, "please, tell me." She just had to find her

Posted by: Kuze Jul 31 2005, 12:43 AM
Kiyoko nodded at Umi and walked over to her Flail, leaning over to pick it up. Walking up behind the newcomer with her flail in her right hand, she said "atamanikuru, uwagareru. (piss me off, you die.)"

Kiyoko finally got up behind the newcomer and raised the flail preparing to swing it at the girl's head...When the girl turned around and saw her get ready to swing the flail down. In suprise Kiyoko swung the flail down

Posted by: Lien Jul 31 2005, 12:51 AM
"Who?" Umi said as she turned to see Kiyoko swing her flail. True to what she said, Umi didn't say anything to stop her. What she was thinking about were the cameras in the area. She sensed there was something weird going on.

Posted by: BRmitsuko12 Jul 31 2005, 01:44 AM
Chi felt the flail come down on her head and fell to the ground.
She started to cry, "Wednesday...where are you." She whispered.

With all of her strength, she got herself up, though her head was bleeding, and began to slowly walk away, stumbling as she went. "I'll find you. I promise."

Posted by: Kuze Jul 31 2005, 02:04 AM
Kiyoko's face contorted in anger at the girl's tears and her walking away.

"paizuri ikeike, hikidoki nakimane unko. hitoppashiri pansuke hitoppashiri. (Fucking bitch, Not fooling shit with those tears. Run you whore run.)"

Kiyoko swung the flail again as she said this but purposely missing and hitting the dirt

Posted by: BRmitsuko12 Jul 31 2005, 02:19 AM
Chi turned and looked at the girl and said,
"(I know you don't sleep, I can see it in your eyes. But don't worry, you'll be asleep soon.)"
Then she sprinted away with only Wednesday on her mind.

Kiyoko yelled as the girl ran off into the distance. She walked back to where her two bags were. Seeing the two bags she remembered something, Digging through one of the bags she saw the large ammo clips and the box of bullets.

Kiyoko said as she motioned for Umi to come towards her.

Posted by: Lien Jul 31 2005, 06:07 AM
Umi stood and walked over to Kiyoko, her eyebrows furrowing in confusion as she glanced to the bag that the girl was holding.

"What's..." she stopped quickly realizing Kiyoko wouldn't understand. Instead, she pointed at the bag.

Posted by: Kuze Jul 31 2005, 06:14 AM
Kiyoko smiled and reached in the bag extracting 5 clips and a box of 9mm ammo from the bag she grabbed from the corpse near the waterfall assumingly for the MAC M-10 that Umi's holding.

Offering the ammo to Umi as a gesture of take the items becasue she has no use for them.

"Oh dear," Aiden whispered, "I hope she doesn't do something stupid to get herself killed. Do you guys really think she would have jumped..."

Aiden seriously doubted it. He wondered, why she was looking for Wednesday.

Dai once again moved in as the bridge between Kiyoko and the rest of the group, explaining to Aiden, Umi and Cassandra that Chi was trying to make Kiyoko think they were using her only for their own gain. He also explained to Kiyoko that this was not true.

"What a horrible, unhappy girl," Aiden deduced.

There was silence.

Andrew's death had come as a bit of a shock and Chi's arrival had only made things more awkward...

"I'm not a very religious person, but I'm spiritual... maybe we should all say a silent prayer for Andrew," Aiden suggested, "then I think maybe we should head for..." he looked at his map, "how about the warehouse?"

Posted by: NyteDarkness Jul 31 2005, 06:53 PM
Their group seems to have attracted a lot of unpleasant events lately. She did feel rather sorry for Andrew, she only talked to him once but his death could've been preventable if it wasn't for his wheelchair. She would have tried to save him if she caught him rolling back quick enough but by the time she noticed it was already too late.

Then another girl came intent on following him down the cliff, she seemed to be having a fight with Kiyoko though Cassandra couldn't understand what they were saying. Umi seemed to dislike her as well, not even caring when Kiyoko attacked.

She turned her attention to Aiden and Dai, who said that this other girl was trying to turn Kiyoko against them. That wasn't a very good idea, how could she possibly know anything about them without even talking to them? Luckily Kiyoko didn't fall for it. Aiden talked about going to the warehouse.

"Yeah," Cassandra said, "That's a good idea, there's probably something useful in a warehouse."

Posted by: MooCow Aug 1 2005, 02:44 PM
"Alright then it's set," Aiden said, "but first lets take a moment of silence for Andrew."

He bowed his head for a minute, allowing the others to join him if they wanted.

Posted by: Lien Aug 2 2005, 04:48 PM
Umi stayed quiet after receiving the bullets from Kiyoko, a small nod all she gave for thanks.

Aiden was starting to take initiative, which was good. Coming from the fragile member to the leader, she liked it.

But she still stayed silent, glancing at the camera she spotted as Aiden bowed his head for the moment of silence.

After awhile of it, she muttered, "All right, let's go," and grabbed her things, heading down the point.

Aiden wiped a genuine tear from his eye and stood up getting ready to follow Umi down the steep incline. He picked up his bag and grimaced. The pain in his right arm was tremendous, throbbing constantly. Noticing his pain, Dai smiled at Aiden, gently grabbed the bag and began carrying it with his own.

Aiden paused, his eyes widening as Dai walked on ahead towards Umi. Out of no where he sped forward and ripped the bag away from Dai.

"I never asked for your help Dai," Aiden said defensively, "I don't need a knight in shining armour okay? I can take care of myself."

Dai looked slighly hurt and taken aback as Aiden continued to walk briskly towards Umi's position in the lead.

I can take care of myself...
