Awaiting a RainbowIt's getting to be the end of the day
Yet all I see is the falling rain
To the one who's love has gone away
Or the one who's bearing too much pain
The one who's tears may rival the stars
The one who is traveling a little too far
The one who's daily life she starves
The one who closes his life like a jar
To the one who's mind is never stable
Or the one who's body just isn't able
There seems to be so many in need
Too many scars that want to bleed
And we keep it in as we watch the rain
Keep it all in, absorb the pain
Our minds are full of restless thoughts
We search and search, becoming distraught
Let the rain fall, let it soak our skin
Perhaps life can resume again
Just wait for that rainbow, that sunny sky
We'll be so happy when there's no need to cry
There will be a day, so very soon
And positive things will finally resume
Wait for that rainbow in the sunny sky
We'll see it soon before our very own eyesI wrote this poem today as I was thinking. Everybody had something going on, and the weather just made it feel worse.

I noticed that everything seemed kind of gloomy...people were quiet and solemn. So I wrote this in response to that. The large second stanza contains references to people I know with those problems, but I guess it covers several things. Oh well, anyways...
