NOTE: When posting your character's application, add what your character is in the TOPIC DESCRIPTION.
Listed below are the different types of vampires a character can be. Please read each description carefully and follow the rules that are applied. As a vampire, keep in mind of god-moding. When in doubt, ask questions or speak with the person you are playing with. Thank you.
Lamia
Made Vampire
Dhampire (Very rare, must ask permission.)
Laws for Vampires
The laws for the vampire world were created by the Elders, the five sons of Queen Lamia. Any law that is broken could be punishable by death of the vampire and the human. If another vampire is aware that a law has been broken, the vampire must report back in. Considering the circumstances, a judgment will be made.
• No vampire should fall in love with a human • No human must know of the vampire world. • No vampire should ever reveal how to properly destroy a vampire • If a vampire wishes to turn a human, a request must be made to the Council. If a vampire turns a human without permission, both vampire and human will be put to death. • No vampire should ever mate with a human. If a child is born, the parents and offspring must die. • If a vampire sires a new vampire, the creator must stay with his or her creation until taught properly. • A child under the age of 12 years old cannot be turned. The human mind must be fully developed in order to understand the laws of the vampire world.

LAMIA
How do you become a Lamia?
You do not "become" a Lamia, but are born. This type of vampire is considered of pure royal blood and is the strongest of any vampire. The older the vampire, the more powerful.
What do Lamia vampires usually look like?
Scary, probably the scariest thing in the world...Lamia look just like you and me. No pale skin, no weird colored eyes, etc. Lamia are just normal looking vampires and that is how they have lived without anyone knowing who or what they are.
Powers/Abilities of the Lamia:
Telepathy
Hypnosis
Speed
Enhanced Senses- seeing, hearing, smelling, feeling, etc.
Enhanced Strength
Can walk out in the daylight
Can heal faster than a human or other vampires
Can breed children
They do not need to sleep during the day or at all. It is an option
They can eat regular food, but it won't do anything for them. Their main source of food is blood.
They do age normally and can stop the aging process when they want. However, if they choose to continue aging after the process has stopped, their appearance will catch up with their age. Choose wisely.
Note: Please keep in mind the Godmoding rule when using your power. Unless the other character does not want you to do something, they have the right to stop. However, members who play humans should keep in mind the abilities of vampires. Refrain from being a "Bella Swan" character.
What can harm or kill a Lamia?
A Lamia can be paralyzed by thrusting a sharp object through the heart. It does not kill them and they are very aware of their surroundings, but can not move until the object is removed.
To kill a Lamia, they must be torn a part and then burned until ashes. If the body is left without burning, pieces of their body can reassemble
To drain a Lamia completely of their blood will only put them in a coma until blood is spilled into their mouth.
If a Lamia has serious injuries, they must feed and sleep for a certain amount of time, depending on their wounds. A day at least.
Garlic, crosses, silver, holy water etc... does no harm.
In order to truly kill a vampire, you must rip their body apart and burn them.

MADE VAMPIRE
How do I become a vampire?
A human can be turned into a vampire through an exchange of blood over the course of three days. A human must be bitten by a Lamia. The vampire will drink the blood of the said human and then have the human drink a certain amount of their blood. On the third day of this exchange, the vampire will bite the human as before, only this time injecting a certain amount of venom. The venom will destroy any of the human blood left and work with the vampire's blood in order to "change" the human. After this is done, the human body will shut down and in all sense "die". The body will go through a huge amount of pain that the human will be aware of, though comatose. Once the Lamia blood and venom has done the job, the body of the new vampire will awaken.
Blood lust will consume the new vampire for some time. The need to feed will overthrow any train of thought or emotion. The sire should stay with this new vampire until he or she has been fed properly. After the first few kills, the new vampire should be able to function as they did before. The sire will need to stay with the new vampire for at least a year in order to teach him or her ways and rules of the vampire life. The new vampire will need to be trained around humans, so they can walk freely without killing everyone on sight.
A human can not turn without both the venom and the blood exchange. If a vampire bites a human, a venom can be inject to paralyze the human body. The venom is mostly used against humans so they do not realize they are being used as food. When the human wakes up the next day, he or she will have no idea what happened the night before.
The blood exchange is not just enough either. If a vampire inserts venom and then drinks your blood (vice versa), it will not change a human. The transformation MUST take place over three days. Two days of exchanging blood...the third day the vampire will practically suck them dry. The venom will be inserted and then the human must drink the vampires blood. Simple as that.
Can a made vampire sire another vampire?
Yes, a made vampire can create another vampire. HOWEVER, there are several reasons why the majority of vampires seek out a Lamia in order to make the transformation. One reason, the made vampire may not complete the ritual properly. The vampire could easily be overcome with blood lust and kill the human without knowing it. The second reason, the vampire may not have strong enough venom to kill the human blood. The third reason, the human just may not be strong enough to go through with the transformation.
What happens if the blood exchange goes wrong?
If the blood exchange is not done right, the ending is all the same. The human dies.
Option one- the human body cannot handle the transformation. The body slips into the comatose state and does not ever wake up.
Option two- the human body does not receive enough of the vampire blood. The transformation just stops and they awake during the middle of their comatose state. The human turns into a "ghoul" or "zombie". The body ages and decays. The person has no thoughts or emotions and only relies on the need for blood. When this happens, the vampire must destroy the body by ripping it a part and burning it.
Powers/Abilities of Made vampires:
Speed
Enhanced Senses- seeing, hearing, smelling, feeling etc.
Enhanced healing
Enhanced strength
Can walk out in daylight
Does not need to sleep unless he or she chooses to do so.
Is not affected/effect by crosses, garlic, silver or holy water, etc.
The human appearance is slightly altered after the transformation and enhanced with beauty to attract their victims. Though, the appearance isn't so altered that it makes them look any different from other vampires. Like Lamia, their skin color does not pale.
In some cases, if a human had a special ability in their previous life, it would be carried on and enhanced when turned.
An example: As a human, Johnny had a way with words. He was able to talk his way out of trouble or convince someone into believing a story he made up. When Johnny was turned into a vampire his ability with words were enhanced. Johnny was able to speak with anyone (human, vampire, shifter, etc) and they would believe or do what he said without a doubt. However, the "charm" of his words would wear off after an hour and the person who was charmed would not know of what they did or said during that hour.
Okay, so a player cannot exactly have this much power over another character. Remember the god-moding rule. Your character cannot be completely powerful.
What can harm or kill a made vampire
Same rules apply to made vampires as they do to Lamia. Only, the made vampires are a lot more easier to kill. Most of the time if the vampire is stabbed through the heart with a sharp object, they can die. To be on the safe side though, burn the body.
What are some limitations?
Unlike their sires, the Lamia, made vampires are weaker in the day time. They can still function, but their powers and abilities are watered down.
Made vampires cannot eat regular human food. They can try, but nothing is gained by it. Most likely, the food will make the vampire sick from mixing with all that blood.
If a vampire cannot feed, then they can have a blood transfusion. Usually a pint or two will give them five days to find a place to grab a human.
Once a human is transformed into a vampire, they remain looking like the age they were when bitten.
A human between the ages of 12 and 30 are more likely to survive the transformation. Any human under the age of 12 is forbidden;highly illegal. Humans over the age of 30 are just too old and will die before the transformation is complete. Do not waste precious food source by trying. It will only turn out for the worst.
Can made vampires reproduce? THIS IS VERY RARE!
Usually, made vampires can not even get through sex with a human before killing them. To a vampire, humans are very fragile and easily be harmed or killed by mating with them. On the off chance that the human does not die, a male vampire can reproduce an offspring with a female human. Though, a female vampire can not get pregnant by a male human. I know and understand, some things just aren't fair in life...or the afterlife. The female vampires get over it quickly.
IF a female human is pregnant with a vampire's child, the female does not live through the birth. The vampire child will eat its way out of the human body, killing the woman in the process. The same thing happens if a Lamia attempts to mate with a human. The human body will die before they can be transformed into a vampire.
What are some other cool facts about made vampires or Lamia?
The eyes of the new vampire look like a dark crimson colored cat eyes. After about a year, the eyes will slowly start to change to a color similar to what they were when human
When hungry, vampire eyes have a darker tone to their original color.
After feeding, the vampire's eyes are revert back to their original color with a more clear and glossy look to them.
Vampires do not have razor sharp "fangs". They do, however, have two slightly sharp teeth that look more canine then monster. No human really notices these two teeth and probably won't unless the vampire is about to attack.
Some vampires choose to live among the human and feed on animals instead.
It takes up to a year, minimum, for a made vampire to have the ability to be around humans and not attack.
In some cases, a vampire has a certain type of blood they prefer. If the vampire comes in contact with a person with that specific type of blood...beware.

DHAMPIRE
NOTE:In order to play a dhampire, you must first contact me. I would like to go over your character and any ideas you may have. Please, remember that dhampires are as illegal as changing a child below the age of 12. If I am constantly being asked about a dhampire position, I will drop this specie all together.
What is a dhampire?
A dhampire, in the simplest definition, is a hybrid. The child is the offspring of a VAMPIRE father and a HUMAN mother. The pregnancy of a dhampire is a completely different process for the mother in a normal pregnancy. For instance, instead of waiting nine months for the child to grow enough to exit the body, a dhampire baby only needs a month. During that time, the body of the human mother will grow weak because the child will drain the mother’s life force from her. Though the baby is half human, it will not accept the mother eating regular food. Instead, while the baby is in the womb, the mother will be forced to drink blood in order to live long enough to deliver the dhampire.
For the human, during this time of pregnancy, she will be in an enormous amount of pain. Her body is given little time to prepare for a baby who continues to grow non-stop. More than likely, the mother will experience several cracked or broken ribs. The organs inside her will be forced tightly together to make room for the baby and this, too, will cause a large amount of pain. Without drinking blood during the month, the mother and child will starve. Also, by drinking blood, the mother can ease the pain she is in by making her baby more comfortable and relaxed.
The delivery day will be the worst for the mother. During the 24 hour period, the dhampire child will take on the majority of its father’s vampire traits. The need to feed and be released from its cage will overwhelm the child. The baby will then start to feed on the mother from the inside and break away from the tight space. In the process, the mother’s organs will be destroyed and bones broken enough to split the body open enough for the baby to be released. Overcome with pain, the mother’s body will go into shock and then die.
Since the vampire father has broken several laws, he must be careful as to not let anyone know of the mother or child. The pregnancy and delivery would be done in secret. Once the child was born, the father would have to go about destroying the mother’s body. If he does not, he risks the mother transforming into a “ghoul” or “zombie” that could be easily traced back to him. The father, then, has to decide what to do with the newly born dhampire baby.
Dhampires are highly illegal in the vampire world, mostly because they are feared and envied. The hybrid children have all the advantaged and benefits of their vampire father. However, they have the weakness of their human mother. These children must be kept hidden from others. If exposed to vampires, if such vampires followed the laws, the dhampire would be brought before the Council and an appropriate execution will be decided. If exposed to humans, if such humans were smart enough, the dhampire would be killed by hunters.
What can Dhampires do exactly?
A dhampire inherits whatever powers or abilities his or her father has. If his father is Lamia, then the child can or has:
* Telepathy- A watered down version. He or she can either hear thoughts of others OR he/she can send/speak their own thoughts towards other. One or the other.
* Speed- Can run faster than the average human, but slower than a full vampire.
* Enhanced Senses- seeing, hearing, smelling, feeling, etc.
* Enhanced Strength- Think of Hercules' strength. Now think of what his children would inherit if they could stay alive long enough. Not completely as strong as their father, but still strong enough to hold their own.
* Can walk out in the daylight
* Can heal faster than a human- Full blooded vampires can take up to a day to heal completely. Dhampires are not that lucky. They at least need three or four days to heal.[/i]
* Can breed children-HOWEVER, the vampire blood diminishes with each generation of children. Each generation MAY take on at least one vampire trait.
* Does not need blood in order to survive- Dhampires, if needed to, can can survive on just human food. On the down side, every time a dhampire does not take in blood, they become more human. In order to keep and strengthen their vampire half, they must feed.
Can Dhampires turn humans?
Sadly, I would have to say no. Dhampires do not have enough venom or vampire blood to turn a human. In the case of dhampires, most of them do not even carry the venom trait. If the hybrid is lucky and they do carry the trait, the venom would act only as a type of morphine to humans.
Besides, dhampires are illegal enough. Why on heaven, earth, or hell would they want to cause more trouble by turning a human? That would just be begging the Council to torture and kill them.
Can a Dhampire turn completely human or completely vampire if they choose?
The bad thing about being a hybrid of two species is that dhampires will constantly be fighting with themselves. Very few dhampires can accept who and what they are and be comfortable with it. The hybrid will always hate one part of them selves.
No, a dhampire can never truly be human. Without feeding on blood for a certain amount of time, their vampire traits will weaken to where they are barely noticed...but never truly gone. With just a drop of blood, the dhampire could regain their abilities once again. Also, being half vampire means that you share a predator instinct. From time to time without wanting or needing to, they will find themselves releasing their inner demon and hunt. They can choose to feed on human or animal, but nevertheless, will have to feed.
On the bright side, if a dhampire hates being half human...they could easily expose themselves to a Lamia. If the dhampire presents a strong enough case, a Lamia may turn the dhampire fully or speak to the Council about doing so. The best bet for the dhampire, if he or she chooses this, is to simply choose a Lamia and hope that they are willing to keep his or her existence a secret until fully turned. Though, Lamia vampires are very loyal to the Elders and Council and try their best not to break the laws. This option will most likely never happen.
What could harm or kill a dhampire?
A dhampire will spend their first year growing and aging rapidly. During the first year, most dhampires increase their age to about five or six. After the first year is over, they may look and act at whatever age they appear to be. From there, the dhampire child will age normally like a human. Though, as they get much, much, much older, the dhampire can choose to keep aging like a human or stop their older appearance for a short amount of time. Nevertheless, if a dhampire survives long enough, the will die by age eventually.
Like I said before, the hybrids have all the weaknesses of their mother. If a dhampire is run over, shot, stabbed, etc...They will die. If someone cared about them enough, they could feed the dhampire their blood in hopes the hybrid will survive.
With vampire blood, most dhampire bodies can fight off human infections and diseases. Viruses may not kill them, but the dhampire would have to live with such a virus throughout their existence until they die of old age.
If a dhampire does not have blood or at least regular human food for a certain amount of time, the body will go comatose and/or die very slowly and very painfully. To be on the safe side, dhampires should try to take in as much as their body will let them in order to survive long enough to make it to their next meal.
Any of the fairy tales about scaring them with religious artifacts and silver bullets are a load of crap. If you want to really kill a dhampire, bleed them dry and then burn their bodies. A dhampire is not strong enough to pull them selves back together if they are chopped up.
Being half human, a dhampire does need his or her rest. A human needs at least 8 to 9 hours in order to function properly. For a dhampire, maybe a cat nap here and there would increase their train of thought and use of abilities. If a dhampire is not allowed even a little bit of sleep, after too long their vampire half could take over. Does anyone remember those beastly, savaged vampire children in the beginning? Point taken. The need for survival is the strongest feeling anyone could have. The predator instinct WILL take over.
