The middle of September in the Ozarks was always the rainiest. The climate hadn’t changed dramatically from the hot summer, but made it hard not to wear some sort of jacket and boots. The clouds hung heavy over the morning sky and made it near impossible to get out of bed when the alarm clock started to beep. However, that is not what made the day a bad one. It was the fact that it was almost mid-September and New Harmony was starting the first day of school.
The small country town was small enough that they didn’t have to really abide by state or national times. Besides, a lot of the students had chores to do at home and it was almost time to harvest the goods that would be bringing in the majority of the town’s money. People were needed more at home than in school.
This concept didn’t affect Andie all that much. Sure, she lived in the country around a bunch of lousy farms, but they didn’t have a farm. The small piece of land she called home was just that. Home. She had her gardens and her patch of forest for herself. The extra time at home during the summer season was very much appreciated. The pre-teen took the time to run wild and bug the hell out of Reese.
Andie was up with the sun, at least the big ball of fire was supposed to rise this morning. The girl liked getting up in the morning when there was light. She had more time to spend with her wonderful gardens and carry on conversations about what happened during the period she had been asleep. Andie had to start practicing being quieter in the house. Her mother needed to rest after the grave yard shift at Kate’s and Reese probably didn’t sleep all that much. Actually, now that she thought about it, she’d never seen Reese sleep. What did he do all night?
Looking in the mirror, the witch-child didn’t even bother fixing her chestnut waves. The rain would ruin any style she decided to do and it was for the best to keep it down. Andie ran her brush through the knots a few times before spinning herself in the reflection of the mirror. Content with her attire, she nodded and grabbed her back pack.
As she slipped out of her bed room, she looked around the small cabin. It was quiet enough and she thought she could sneak out and walk to school. Her mother wanted to walk her to school, but Andie had distaste for that idea. One, she was old enough to walk to town by herself. Two, she wanted to start the year not being made fun of. No one else had their mom walk them to the high school.
Andie was twelve years old and she wasn’t that smart to skip grade of course. Because of low budget in New Harmony, middle, jr. high, and high school all met in the same building. Today would be her first day at the high school and no matter how many times she wanted to lie; Andie was pretty excited about it. She was five years closer to graduating school and becoming an adult. The witch-child wanted to get the hell out of this town and take Sera and Reese with her.
The girl grabbed her long, green, rain coat; it was hard to resist looking in the mirror again. Andie had decided to wear a plain gray skirt, with a pink polo and a black vest over it. She wore black stockings and black rain boots. She wasn’t exactly sure she was ready or looked the part she had to play today. Andie tried finding the latest clothes styles in magazine and have her mother make them. What if she didn’t pull of the attire like other girls in her class? What if they made of the way she tried to fit in? The witch-child didn’t want to disappoint her mother by getting a call for a fight she couldn’t prevent. Andie had a bad temper and her fists ruled over her emotions.
After another moment she realized she was going to be late if she didn’t start walking now. Andie let out a sigh and looked around at the small cabin wishing summer could last a little longer. She slid her arms through the sleeves of the coat and grabbed the green polka dotted umbrella beside the front door. Another pause and then she began her journey to the town.

That morning was definitely one that Madison was re-considering the whole idea to stay in New Harmony for a little while. It was the first day of school and well, she hadn't really been to school in years. After all, it is sort of hard to attend class when you have been kidnapped and stashed in a government facility or even in the years that followed when she was running from that same government agency. Now that she had run into Judas though and been stashed at the home of two witches, though one had no idea what she was at all, it was expected of her to go to school.
She used to really love school and she used to be really good at it... however, she was smart enough to realize that she would be rather far behind where she was supposed to be for her age and would probably have to find a tutor in order to catch up. She was definitely not looking forward to that since she had yet to figure out how she was going to explain her lack of schooling. She had no doubt that she would catch up though since she enjoyed learning and it had always been something that she excelled at.
The other problem with the whole school thing was the fact that she was going to be surrounded by a whole bunch of normal, or at least mostly normal, teenagers and she could already tell that it would take everything in her to control her powers that day. She used to be popular, but she was a very different girl now than she had used to be and she was under no impressions that she would be popular again. In fact, she would much rather be ignored and left alone by everyone than deal with the frivolity of what most people think about from day to day.
Madison sighed slightly and pulled herself out of bed. She did the best that she could with the mess that she called hair, brushed her teeth, and pulled on a green and black plaid skirt with a white long-sleeved hoodie that would hide her scars nicely. She then grabbed her jacket and pulled it on over since it would be needed outside. Though, the long-sleeved shirt would give her the option to take the jacket off once inside when she got hot. She frowned slightly as she looked at herself in the mirror, wishing that she could get out of the whole school thing, before finally sighing and resigning herself to leave.
When she heard Andie and Sera discussing the whole walking to school thing, she waited until after Andie left to tell Sera that she would walk with her so the girl wouldn't be alone, though in all honesty, she wasn't sure that really made the older woman more comfortable or not. Once that was done, she grabbed her bag and headed out the door after the younger witch. It didn't take her long to catch up at all either since Andie hadn't gone very far yet. They walked in a comfortable silence for awhile, which was something that Madison definitely appreciated, but as they got closer to the school there was a question she figured she might as well ask.
"So... what is this place like anyways?"
((OOC: hope you don't mind me having Madison live with them already... I just figured by the time school started she would have been. ))

The first day of school always brought mixed feelings for Cole. She loved the fact that she would be guaranteed to see her friends every day and that cheerleading would be starting up again, but at the same time she was a horrible student and only did just enough to get by without being suspended from the cheerleading team. She was smart but she simply did not apply herself at all when it came to her classes and had no desire to start doing so this year. So, as excited as she was for her cheerleading to start up again and to see her friends, she was completely dreading her classes this year and did not want to even go to them at all.
The only downside was that she was basically guaranteed to see her boyfriend there as well. Now that might not sound like a bad thing to most, but Cole had gotten rather bored with the captain of the football team and she was definitely ready to move on to someone else. Though, she wouldn't actually break up with him until after she had found someone to replace him. It would definitely be easier to shop around for new guys if Kevin wasn't going to be hanging all over her like she could pretty much guarantee that he would be.
She shook her choppy golden blonde hair out after running a brush through it in order to get it to fall just right. She had chosen to wear a red and black dress with black short dress with black skinny pants and a pair of black boots. She knew that she looked good at the moment and was absolutely satisfied with what she had chosen for the day. Once she was ready, she grabbed her bag and headed out to the car that her parents had bought for her on her 16th birthday.
It only took her a few minutes to drive herself to school and she had barely gotten out of the car before she was swarmed by her friends. It seemed the new year wasn't going to be all that much different from the year before as far as she was concerned since it was starting the same way for her.

It was already the first day of school of Travis and his twin sister Phoebe in their new town. They had been there awhile, but had never attended any school. But seeing as they would most likely be staying there, it would have been best for them to finally make appearances as normal teenagers would, not that you could call them normal. Because, well they weren’t at all. Their new adopted parents, seemed keen on keeping them as normal as possible.
Sighing as he swung his backpack over his shoulder he hollered once for his sister. When he received no answer he shrugged and grabbed the keys to the new truck that the adopted parents had bought him. They had money, tons of it, it was there way of buying his love. Though it wasn’t going to be hard. Any human willing to adopt two teenage shifters knowingly, deserved a lot.
He wasn’t going to lie though. He loved his truck. It was a black Chevy. Something he never thought he would have. It was new, shiny and defiantly like his new toy. As he climbed into the truck and turned it on, he smirked. The roar of the engine was classic. It was becoming one of his new favorite sounds. As he pulled out he drove the rather short distance to the school. As a few of the onlookers, other students, looked up as he pulled in he smiled. He loved being sixteen.
Parking the truck, he grabbed the keys and walked toward the small area where the others had gathered. He wasn’t big on just walking up and starting to talk to people, especially when more then half of the others were girls. Shrugging he once more swung the backpack over his shoulder and walked away, clicking the lock button twice as his truck beeped.
Phoebe had made sure that Travis dressed nice. Or what he considered decent at least. He had a white tank top on with a black t-shirt like blouse thing. He really didn’t know the correct terms and he really didn’t care.
Looking around once more at the growing crowd, Travis made his way toward a tree. Checking his watch he seen there was time to waste so he sat down underneath it and pulled out the book he was currently reading. Yes, it was more a girl book, but he loved Pride and Prejudice. The relationship between Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy was quite addicting to him. He considered going to talk to the people who were already there, but decided he would save that and the fun times to another day and let people approach him, or not.

The sweetest dreams did not come to the boys all week. The pathetic loser dreaded the day at hand as he slammed his hand the alarm clock. Since six this morning, he had been pushing the snooze button. There was nothing good about being a sophomore in high school. Not even the delicious smell of bacon and pancakes could lighten his mood. He grumbled as he heard the tiny foot steps of his cousin coming up to his room. The boy groaned and rolled over on the other side. As the girl swung his door open he pulled the covers tighter to his head.
“Go away, brat!”
If it was anyone else who had tried to force him out of bed, they would be practicing their ducking skills as random objects were thrown. However, Ethan wouldn’t dare do anything foolish like that. His younger cousin made him pay every time. The boy swore to the high heavens it was because she was an elf. No one moved with such fierce agility and passionate blows. She was a demon child from hell who came to Earth to annoy the life out of him.
The room was quiet when he tried to listen to what she was doing in his room. It was too quiet. As much as his mind wanted his eyes to peek out from under the sheets, his body warned him to stay in his curled up ball. He was right to trust his instinct because the moment he thought about inquiring what Janet was doing, the elf-child was in mid-air and aiming towards his position on the bed. Ethan tensed up and tried to make the ball tighter in preparation. To no avail, his body was just not tough enough. Not even for the weight of an eight year old.
The force of her elf-like body was so strong that Ethan let out a sound that would be expected from a cat that had just got its tail pulled. He bit his bottom lip and hoped that she had not caught the sound. The sound of her high pitch laughter told him that she heard it loud and clear and was very impressed with herself. The bed shifted under his form and he felt the girl stand up and start jumping.
“Wake up! Wake up! It’s the first day of school! Come on you lazy boy! Momma made breakfast and you won’t get any if you stay in bed until the bus gets here.”
“I don’t care.” He let out an exaggerated coughing sound. “I think I’m sick. Tell Aunt Lee I don’t have the strength to get out of bed.”
It was half truth. Ethan really did have a hard time getting out of bed in the morning. His joints were stiff and his body felt starved of something he couldn’t put his finger on. The nightmares of this day hadn’t helped him sleep as much either. In the five years since he moved to this quaint town of New Harmony, the teenager was bullied. The basketball, softball, and football team took a liking to making his life miserable. Most evenings he would miss the bus because he was hanging somewhere in the boy’s locker room. When his aunt and uncle questioned him would his tardiness, he didn’t have the heart to tell them he was a loser.
There was silence again and Ethan winced at the lack of noise. Janet was up to something. He could almost imagine the elf girl stopping to think if he was actually telling the truth or not. She always got a wrinkle in the space between her eyes and she would rub her chin as if she had something there to rub. She watched Uncle Bob too much. The image of Janet made him smile ever so slightly. As annoying as she was, he loved the munchkin.
Crap! She caught him off guard and he did not have a good hold on the sheets. The little girl ripped them from his hands and peered down at him. She tilted her head to the side and studied his features. His molded green eyes looked up at the carrot top with piggy tails. He tried to put on his best ‘I’m sick’ expressions. Too bad he was a horrible actor.
Janet swiftly bent down to his face and it took him by surprise at how fast she was in breathing distance. She went nose to nose and stared him down. In a way it felt as if she was daring him to blink. How the hell he got bullied by his eight year old cousin was a mystery to him, but Ethan refused to take his eyes off of her. There was no telling what that demon-elf child was capable of. Janet made an ‘hmph’ sound when he didn’t move. In the same second she had jumped off his bed and ran back down stairs.
Ethan blinked finally. His eyes watered and he held his breath. After a moment he let it out and closed his eyes. By that time he heard the little girl squeal as she slammed the front door shut. The boy was quite confused by this action and sat a moment before he heard it. The sound of the school bus as it drove away from their house.
Shit! The teenager fumbled out of his bed, tripping over the random pieces of clothing, CDs, and books all over his floor. Maybe he should have listened to his aunt when she told him to clean up. He ran to his closet and opened it to find a pile falling out from the floor. Damnit! Maybe he should have done his laundry when his uncle told him too. What was he going to wear for the first day of school!?
Ten minutes later he was running into the kitchen to grab a bottle of water and a piece of bacon. As he reached for the back door, he heard his aunt clear her throat. He stopped dead in his tracks and turned around; giving her the best innocent face he could muster up.
“Did you take your heart medication?”
“Yeah, Aunt Lee, of course.”
Without a second thought, he turned on his heels and ran out of the door. He really hoped the woman didn’t measure his medication bottle because he had straight out lied to her. Ethan didn’t have time to take that yellow colored mud that the family doctor kept prescribing to him. Besides, he felt fine. The medicine made him feel worse most of the time anyway. He just wouldn’t do any physical activities today…well besides skate boarding to school. Luckily it was only a few blocks.
As he rounded the last corner towards the school building, his loose shoe strings wrapped around the back wheels of his skate board. As they tangled, his foot dropped suddenly and his balance decreased. He flew off his skate board and into something hard. Finally his body landed face first on the concrete.

The blonde stared out the window of her bedroom window and watched the sun rise. She had been up for hours now and waited quietly for the rest of the house to stir. Her ears perked up as she heard the alarms sound. Today would be the first day they attended school in this small town. They had been there for almost a year now, but talked their foster parents into letting them get used to New Harmony before placing them in a school. Phoebe and Travis had traveled for so long. It seemed as if they were always jumping from one place to the next. The blonde didn’t think she could handle trying to settle down, only to be moved again. Though she would never admit it to anyone, even her brother, she yearned to find a home. A real home. Some place they didn’t have to constantly be on the look out.
In a way, Phoebe felt good about this town. There were more supernaturals here and no one but the foster parents knew they were shape shifters. The teenage girl was sure she didn’t want to repeat past mistakes. She wanted to keep the secret of her identity. She just hoped that Travis didn’t get too damn friendly with these people in town so that he would shift in front of them. The last thing she wanted was to draw attention.
The smell of wet dog drifted under the cracks of her bedroom door and her nose wrinkled. She faced the door and wondered if Travis would come in. She wondered if he checked up on her to make sure she had stayed through the night. Phoebe had a habit of waiting until the dead of night and move on without a second thought of who she was leaving behind. Travis seemed to like these new people who had taken them in. She wanted the best for her brother and if it was to stick around in this town, she would stay with him.
When her twin didn’t come in, she shrugged and began getting ready for school. She chose a jean skirt, black combat boots, and a zebra stripped, red and black, hoody over a black tank top. Phoebe picked up random bracelets and rings and put them on without even looking at them. She ran hands through her hair and decided she looked appropriate enough. She waltzed into her brother’s room down the hall and didn’t even bother knocking as she entered. Phoebe scrunched her nose at the smell of dog as it embraced her senses. She had to take a step back and get used to her brother’s scent. After a moment she shook her head at what he had picked out to wear. It was the first day of school and he was going to wear that? Travis Brody was not going to leave the house looking like that and claim to be her brother in the same day.
The blonde walked over to his closet and randomly chose an outfit and laid it out on his bed. She raised her eye brow as if to question her judgment. She smiled when no protest came and skipped out of the room.
When the left for school, Phoebe decided to let the gate down in the back of the truck and ride in the bed. She was not going to be around a bunch of peers with the notion that she smelled like some mongrel. The blonde liked her cat smell much better and thought it was better than Travis. Of course that could also be the cat in her.
She put her headphones on and turned on her ipod. The drive wasn’t too bad and when they got there, Travis made his way under a tree. Naturally, Phoebe followed him within a certain amount of distance and sat at a picnic table beside the tree. She made no contact with Travis and probably wouldn’t until the end of the day.
As she stared down at her ipod and shuffled through the music, she saw a pair of female legs walk past her. Her eyes instantly caught sight of the shoes. Phoebe smiled and instantly wanted them. She looked up at the girl and motioned her head, “Nice shoes. I wonder If they make them in red.”

The hairs on Andie’s neck began to prickle and she tensed up at the sound of someone behind her. She turned around suddenly to see Madison coming up fast. The witch-child loosened up and began to walk again. She had to get used to the fact that someone else lived in the house with her. On top of that, the girl was a witch too. They were only a few years apart and Andie wondered if they would even get along. Right now everything seemed awkward because the girl wasn’t sure had to act around Madison.
There weren’t a lot of witches in the town and those who did live there worked with Isis. No one had time to keep a twelve year old updated on the art of the Craft. Andie fiddled with the straps of her backpack and looked around. She had memorized the road and everything around it, but couldn’t find the words. So they walked in silence.
It wasn’t until they were close to the school grounds that Madison spoke to her. Andie blinked and gave her brain a moment to register what the other witch had said. When it clicked her mouth made a small ‘o’ shape and then squinted as if trying to remember something. In truth, she had no idea what the school was like. She shrugged, still not sure what to say to the girl.
Memories of primary school were not the greatest and she would be going up against those same kids. Andie debated if she should warn Madison or not about how harsh the humans could be here. They were not accepting of people who were different. As they neared the school grounds, the girl’s heart started flipping out and she thanked her lucky stars she had no time to eat. The witch-child felt sick to her stomach.
How could she give this new girl advice, when she was still figuring it all out herself?
As the adrenaline started pumping through her system, she noticed movement out of the corner of her eyes. The branches in the trees began to sway and the grass seemed to grow ever so slightly. Andie made a groaning sound and stopped walking. Nervous olive green eyes met with Madison’s and she sighed.
“I’m not much help. Probably as freaked out as you are. I’m learning right along with you.”
The witch-child began to walk again, feeling a little calmer than before. At least she had said something and stopped long enough to keep the plants around her from responding to her nerves. When they finally reached school grounds, Andie leaned in towards Madison and whispered…even though she knew no one as close enough to hear anything.
“Just don’t show your powers.” She eyed the girl and gave her a warning expression. “It may be okay if they know what you are, but humans tend to blow things up. They say they aren’t afraid, but I still think they don’t believe until something is in front of them.”
Andie didn’t know this new witch’s history and frankly could care less. As long as she didn’t start any trouble, there wouldn’t be a problem. Hopefully, the witch learned quickly enough. Don’t piss off the town’s people or they would start burning the witches again. Andie didn’t quite like that idea. She was so close to being old enough to leave. Just endure.
“We won’t have lunch together. I probably won’t even see you until school is over. Where do you want t-"
Once more that morning, Andie felt the hairs on the back of her next stand up. However, she was not fast enough to see the boy launching himself straight at the two. It was an instinct of the girl to protect herself first. She jumped a foot away from her original position only to see that he was heading for Madison. There was no time to warn her.

When she heard Andie's initial response, Madison just shrugged slightly. She wouldn't necessarily say that she was freaked out since she could really care less what the other people thought about her. She would be quite content to have everyone just leave or alone and ignore her. She wouldn't even mind behind labeled as the weird new girl if it meant she didn't have to deal with stupid people. Course, there was always the downside of people thinking you were weird and deciding to make your life hell instead of leave you alone. If anyone decided to do that, she would simply have a few choice words to say to them.
She hadn't realized that the twelve year old witch that she had been staying with had been having a hard time with the whole school thing though. She had noticed in the short time that she had been there that Andie did not really seem to have any friends her age, but she had not really thought about it since she only had one person that she could maybe call friend at this point and Jesse was most certainly not even remotely around her age even if he did look like he might be. Andie's words made her wonder what exactly the girl had been dealing with though.
It wasn't necessarily that Madison had grown attached to Andie already since in all honesty she barely knew the girl, but she was also the only witch that Madison had been able to spend any time with since she had left that horrible place, which basically meant that she hadn't been around any witch for an extended amount of time in awhile. She had almost forgotten what it might be like to be able to talk about some of that stuff with another person... though they would have to be careful if they ever discussed things when Sera was around since Sam had made it rather clear to her that she was not supposed to clue the lost witch into what she was.
"I'm working on that," was really the only way that she could respond to Andie's warning. It wasn't like she was planning on actively going around and freezing people so she figured as long as no one startled her and she kept from having skin-to-skin contact then she should be fine on that front. So with that in mind, she really didn't think that she would be having too much of a problem with that while at school. Outside of school was still a completely different matter though.
She glanced at the younger witch when she stopped in mid-sentence but she figured out a little too late what had caused the girl to do so. She cursed herself for not paying attention to her surroundings better since she was pretty much left with just enough time to brace herself for the collision. A teenage boy, who seemed rather out of control for some reason she had yet to figure out, ran smack dab into her and sent both of them sprawling on the concrete. She managed to brace her fall slightly when she threw her hands behind her, which was definitely good since it meant that she wouldn't actually touch him and cause the situation to get way worse.
Once she recovered from the slight daze, she pursed her lips together slightly and looked at the guy who was currently sprawled on top of her. "You can get off me now..." she stated when she finally found words. She would worry about whether he was alright or not once she checked to see if her hands had been scrapped by the concrete at all and that her skirt was actually covering her. She was pretty sure that she would have a nice size bruise on her butt but it didn't feel like she had received any scrapes there.

The tree that Travis had chose to read under wasn’t as comfortable as he would have imagined. Just from sitting on the ground his back side was becoming sore, and well he couldn’t really have that beings he had a full day of sitting in sucky desks while he listened to his new teachers go blah blah blah about the class rules and what not. The first day was always the worse in his case. And since he was new, he was sure that someone would make a big deal of him introducing himself to the rest of the class and he wasn’t really thank big on speaking about himself.
Standing up from the hard ground he ran his hands over his butt to make sure that his jeans were not dirty. It was just a habit for him to do. If Phoebe would to see he was already dirty she would probably kill him, which was why he was relieved to feel that he had managed to stay clean. Looking around it seemed that everyone, but him, had been interacting with other students. His sister was complimenting some girl on her shoes, already about to make friends probably, if that was possible his cat like sister. Looking around once more, still standing in the same place. He watched as a boy tripped and went flying straight for a blonde and a dark haired the girl. He watched as the dark haired girl jumped out of the way, but did not react enough to ensure her friends safety as well. The blonde was flung to the ground. A snicker came out of his mouth and he quickly made to cover his mouth with his rough hands. That was probably not the best way for him to make any friends.
Rushing over to the small group of students Travis looked upon the accident. “Hey, ya’ll alright?” he asked even before the kid was able to get off of the blonde girl. And not wanting to ignore the dark haired girl standing across from him, he looked up from the two on the ground and sent his crooked smirk towards her, “Seems you got out of the way just in time, or you may have been on the ground with these two,” he added.
Risking a glance back toward his sister he rolled his eyes. It was like her to end up finding what seemed to be like the in-crowd. Oh, how he would love to see her face when she seen who he was befriending. The two of them were so different it was hilarious. Everyone always found it difficult to believe that they were brother and sister, they fought like cats and dogs. With that he laughed inside of his head as he thought to himself “Oh that’s right, we are cats and dogs.”

The blonde did her best to tune out her friends for the time being since they were going on and on about Kevin and what he would be going with the football team this year and how there was no way that they wouldn't walk away from the season without the State title. Though Cole agreed with them completely, she was bored with Kevin so the last thing she wanted to do at the moment was talk about the idiot. Sure he was attractive and popular and was an amazing kisser, but he was as dumb as a box of rocks and it was about as much fun to talk to him.
She tried to pretend like she was interested in the conversation though by nodding and saying 'uh huh' or 'I know' whenever the time was right. By the time they had made it from her car to the picnic tables, she had pretty much stopped doing even that much but her friends were far too wrapped up in their conversation to even notice. Cole didn't mind though since it gave her time to scan the people that had arrived in order to see if there was any potential for a new boyfriend in their midst, but sadly no one stood out at all.
She was just about to try and work her way back into the conversation and change the subject to something far more interesting when she heard someone mention her shoes. She turned to see another blonde sitting on a picnic table motioning to the boots that she had just bought to go with her outfit. She didn't recognize her at all, which simply meant that she was new. Cole was not really the kind of person that opened her arms to new students until they had proved to her that they would be worth knowing, but the girl did have good taste in shoes...
"Thanks. I'm pretty sure I saw them in red when I was shopping yesterday. You're new right?" she asked, her friends pausing in their conversation to stare at the fact that Cole had just willingly talked to someone outside of their group.

The hard surface somehow seemed to cushion the fall of the concrete. He let out a groan as his gut felt like it had just been trampled on by a horde of Spanish bulls. Ethan placed his palms flat on whatever he was on top and tried to lift his body up. However, as he began to pull up, the boy couldn’t help but wonder what he had crashed into. Muddy green eyes opened up to be faced with a pair of sky blue eyes.
Ethan blinked with a loss of words and had to blink several more times before he understand what she was saying. His eyes wondered over her body which had been thrown under him. There was a girl under him. He winced at the idea of where his hands were and suddenly wanted to be back in his bed at home.
The boy could not get off soon enough to make up for the fact that he had just groped a strange girl. How could he have messed up this early in the year? The freaking school bell hadn’t even ringed and he was already making an ass out of himself. Oh he wished no one say this.
No such luck, however. He heard the sound of another boy coming up to the scene and the presence of another girl beside them. Ethan winced even more and was mumbling out as many apologies as he could, but nothing made sense when they passed through his lips. He was on the other side of the blonde, not wanting to look her in the eye. He hoped she wasn’t going to tell everyone he was a pervert. That is all the stupid jocks needed were to have another reason to keep him in the locker rooms after school closed.
Although, Ethan really wanted to take another look at whom he had run into. Was it bad that until this day, he had never even touched a girl in that way? Even though the circumstances were all wrong…he rather enjoyed the fact that he made it to a base his first day of school.
Not noticing it, his face began to turn a cherry red as the thoughts began to shift in a whole new direction. Instantly he had to stop them and tried to think about something else. His eyes searched for his skateboard and frowned at the sight. It had broken in half on the corner of the sidewalk when the two collided. Most of his shoe strings were tied into the wheels.
“Damn. I really need to invest in better boards and shoes without strings.” His eyes drifted to the concrete in front of and scratched the back of his head nervously. “Um…are you alright?”

Jesse sat on his motorcycle which was parked all the way at the end of the parking lot. He was bored, and so he decided on the spur of the moment that he was going to go to school. At least give it a try. And if it didn’t work out then he would just simply drop out. He could do that, and Bella already thought it was a waste of the vampires time to be going to school when he should be helping her get revenge for their fathers death. He could still see the expression on her face when he woke up that morning.
He had been laying in his bed when trying decide what to do that day. His new friend Madison wasn’t going to be around beings she was going to school herself. That’s when he had the thought that he would join her. After all she was pretty much his only friend except Nessie, but Nessie was dealing with the mixed up love triangle going on so it wasn’t like she was around much anymore.
Jumping out of his bed he threw on some clothes, which ended up being his usual style. White tank top, his leather jacket, yes even in this kind of weather, and his black jeans and black boots. He kind of skipped down the steps which caught Bella’s attention way to quickly.
Bella had looked utterly confused at the site of her brother, dressed, skipping down the steps. “What in the heavens are you so happy for? And why would you skip down the stairs, you looked like a girl,” was her impression.
Jesse laughed at her then and shrugged. “Well I woke up today and decided I was going to go to school.”
At that Bella’s face had turned bright red and she yelled, “YOU WHAT? Are you insane? Theres so much to do here. We need to plan plan plan in order to make sure we get our revenge!”
Looking up at the ceiling as he pretended to ponder he looked back at his sister with a smirk on his face. “Yes I think I am insane,” he had took off so quickly.
Now, as he sat watching the younger kids meet up with old friends and making new ones he looked for his friend. It wasn’t hard to spot her as he heard a commotion. He watched intently as Madison was thrown to the ground a guy landed on top of her. His first instinct was to rush over and pull the twit off of her and help her up, but knowing Madsion, he decided to just stay where he was for a while longer. She could handle herself. The last thing he wanted to do was piss her off by being to big-brotherish. Although he felt protective of the younger girl, Jesse didn’t want to push that on her.
As he watched everything unfold he listened intently to what was being said. Though not much had been addressed. A guy had joined up with them, apparently he was new and didn’t know them because he didn’t seem to know their names. There was a smaller girl there with dark hair, which he was pretty sure had to be Andie, the girl that Madison was staying with.
With that he decided what he was going to do. He was bored which cause him to do random things. Seeing no one around or paying attention he kicked the stand on his bike up and pushed it up and into the grass as he made his way back toward the road. Walking it about a mile away from the school he then decided to hope onto the bike he started it up and then made his way right back to the school, this time parking near the group of students he had been watching, the group where Madison was. Parking his motorcycle in a parking space he went ahead and took his sun glasses off and brushed out his hair to make sure it was still up, as if he had just literally came from the ranch. Looking over toward Madison, he winked at her and walked on over to the group. “Hey Madison,” he said as he ignored everything that had just happened despite the fact that he wasn’t at all happy at where the kids hands had been, but he kept reminding himself that it was an accident obviously. Then he let himself look around at the others and nod to them to with a smirk on his handsome face.
He then looked toward the boy who had fallen, forgetting that he had heard the kid speak. The kids seemed embarrassed at what had happened. Sighing Jesse looked upon the broken skateboard. “Hey, you know I have an old one of those back at home, I don’t use it anymore. It’s pretty good, I could bring it tomorrow or you could pick it up sometime, he offered to the kid.

Andie gasped at the sight as Madison was thrown to the ground by some random guy. She wished she could have warned her sooner. This was not the way she wanted the witch to start the beginning of the school year. Everything seemed to happen so fast after that. There were more people suddenly that surrounded them and Andie began to feel a little claustrophobic.
The moment she heard the first boy’s voice, olive green eyes were on his. She hated that her body reacted without the permission of her mind. Her knees began to shake when the cowboy-looking teenager turned his attention to her. She didn’t want to just stand there and look like an idiot, but that annoying girly giggled slipped passed her lips. Andie tried to seal her lips tight. However, she couldn’t help but just look at him with goo-goo eyes.
The witch-child had seen boys before in this town. Many of them were nice looking. This new one, though, looked like her Reese. Well, not really. Maybe it was just in her mind. She couldn’t help it. She looked at his smile and the way his hair fell on his head. This boy was like a younger, nicer, version of her protector.
She was young and her powers weren’t exactly that strong. Her Earth abilities were doing better because she practiced them enough. However, she still needed to work on how to tell what person was what species. She knew Madison was a witch because they were the same. Her aura was much stronger and easy to see. Andie had problems telling between werewolves and shifters though. Vampires, sometimes. Her Reese-impersonator was a supernatural, but she couldn’t pick up if he was a wolf or a shifter.
Andie smiled, still. She blinked when Madison and the other boy started talking. The witch-child rushed to the blonde’s side to help her up. It wasn’t long before she sensed another presence and was greeted by, yet another boy. This one wasn’t like the others. He was tall. Dark. Mysterious. And he rode on a motorcycle. Even though he was very handsome, her attention went back to the first boy.
Why oh why did she have to be twelve? The fighting urge and desire to be grown up had emerged in her chest and she begged the Fates to change her. She wanted to be old enough to hold the attention of these boys without them thinking she was just a dumb kid. Her hands wrapped around Madison’s arm and attempted to help her off the ground.

When the teenage guy did not immediately move off of her when she told him to, but instead proceeded to grope her, Madison clenched her jaw tightly. It was all that she could do to keep herself from kneeing the stranger in the crotch or attempting to freeze his hands so that he would never be able to do that again. Though it helped slightly when she noticed that it had not been intentional and he was quite embarrassed by it if the redness of his cheeks meant anything.
Before she had even had a chance to respond or stand up, the only other person she had met waltzed onto the scene in a way that only the vampire could. She couldn't help the slight smile that appeared on her face when he winked at her and took the next moment when everyone seemed distracted by something else to stand up from her position on the ground. She did so as quickly as she could with the help of Andie, and hoped that no one had glanced over in the process since there was simply no easy way to get off the ground and remain completely covered when wearing a skirt as short as the one that she had one.
She took a little time once on her feet to smooth out her skirt and check her hands for any scrapes, though she seemed to be fine with the exception of the bruise that she would most certainly have before long. "Yeah I'm fine," she replied to Ethan and Andie, still a bit grumpy about the fact that she hadn't even made it to school yet officially and she had already landed on her ass and had a strange guy grope her. Though she was pretty certain she had cushioned his fall, she figured that she should probably check to make sure that he was alright too.
"What about you?" she asked the guy that had mowed her down since he was still on the ground. She glanced over at the other guy that had joined them during the time that she had been on the ground. He was a shifter, that much was obvious to her right away. The whole lot of them were supernaturals it seemed... well with the exception of the guy still on the ground, though he didn't feel quite human to her either. There was just something slightly off about his aura but she had no idea what it was. It sort of reminded her of the aura of a lost witch, though that obviously wasn't what he was.
It was at that point that Madison realized what was weird about the group standing there, other than them being mostly supes, and that was the fact that Jesse was there at all. She had not really thought that she would see him at school since he was a vampire after all and had probably already done the school thing many times in the past. She turned her attention to the rather attractive vamp and said, "Wait... why are you here Jesse?"

It did not at all take long for the small group to grow. It seemed that the boy falling on the girl seemed to make the two girls the center of attention in that area of the school grounds. Travis stood off to the side of the blonde and the guy on the ground. He watched as the guy got up but as he did he felt eyes on him. Looking toward the little dark haired girl, he found the pair of eyes which had been on him and was still on him. The only thing Travis could do was smile friendly at the girl.
He was flattered as the girl let out a giggle. It was not something that happened often when girls looked at him. He wasn’t around girls much that did that whole giggle thing when a guy was around, but he knew what it meant. So far the day wasn’t turning out that bad, it seemed he might actually make friends, even if they were younger then him. He wasn’t big on the whole age thing. As long as they were awesome and fun to be around he could care less if the were eight years old. Friends were friends, no matter the age difference.
The girl didn’t respond to him, however; so he took it upon himself to let it go. But before he did, while he had someone’s attention he said “I’m Travis,” he said to the girl and anyone else who was listening. The scene had quickly developed into something and he was pretty sure if he didn’t jump in now then he would be pushed away and yet again by himself reading a girly book under a tree, and he wasn’t going to let that happen.
Before much else could happen another guy joined them. He was at least two years older then Travis was. The guy had rode in on a motorcycle and was in a leather jacket, clearly different from the rest of the group. However, it seemed to Travis that this older guy somehow knew the blonde girl who had got thrown to the ground for he called her Madison and winked her. At least he knew someone’s name. And then came another as everything kept unfolding. Apparently guy who had joined them was named Jesse. Travis would have to remember that. Then Travis decided to turn upon the boy who had fell. He hadn’t paid much attention to him and felt horrible for not doing so. “Yeah, are you alright. That was a pretty nasty fall you had?’ he added.
